O’Reilly’s Irish Pub in Oberstdorf

.. I was just (02/07/2025) in the Irish pub.... Thank God I didn't read the bad reviews beforehand, who knows if I would have gone then.... ... by the way, I absolutely can't understand the bad reviews; I was traveling alone and actually just wanted to look at the pub (Irish pub in Oberstdorf is a bit unusual...); At first I went to a table for two but was politely asked to take a seat at the bar, which makes sense if you are traveling alone (why take a second seat?) ... after I got my beer, I studied the menu and spontaneously decided to have my dinner here, a special burger ... ... I would like to mention that after I drank my first beer, I was kindly asked if I would like another one... ... and all of this, even though there was a lot going on at the moment, a group of about 12 people were also ordering (they were treated kindly, by the way); I'm assuming that this was the owner (from the reviews I've now read...) and I really can't complain about anything here, quite the opposite... ... I also got my burger and I liked it very much; tasty, with rocket, tomato and cheese... ... I have 100% not regretted my decision and will perhaps go again; I also recommend this to everyone who reads this... ... make up your own mind, just like I did (by chance)... By the way, I'm currently on vacation here and live almost 700 km away, in case the question arises as to whether I'm related to the operators, related by marriage or something else... :-)

I can't understand the bad reviews!!! Super nice people, whether Gesa or Harry. You feel super comfortable. Real living room feeling. Everything was very friendly and the evening was really great!!! Any time.

Unable to be surpassed in terms of unfriendliness. I completely agree with J J's review from 7 months ago. The counter lady has no place in the service industry.

Not nice service. At 10 a.m. you are thrown out straight away.

Actually a cozy pub, if the lady who is supposedly the boss there didn't misinterpret the terms "service" and hospitality so much. She is incredibly rude and we felt like we weren't welcome there. There is a sign at the entrance informing you that your seats will be assigned to you. Woe betide anyone who has overlooked this; this omission will first be very clearly pointed out and then they will continue to be served underground. Despite our sufficient consumption of drinks, she didn't become any friendlier to us. At 9:45 p.m. you are very rudely informed that the location is closing at 10 p.m. This place doesn't deserve to be called an Irish pub!

I'm a tourist on November 1st. Went to O'Reilly's because I read in the review that they were showing football there on the FS. When I wanted to take a seat, figure skating was going on in the FS. When I asked whether Leverkusen vs VFB would be shown at 8:30 p.m., I was told that figure skating was still going on and that O'Reilly's didn't have a Sky subscription either. It's just stupid that the football game was shown on DAZN. As a football fan, I wouldn't recommend O'Reilly's.

Das Pub ist super gemütlich aber die Besitzerin ist Mega unfreundlich und verdirbt einem die Lust am gemütlichen Beisammensitzen Nicht empfehlenswert

Greetings go out from Augsburg to Gesa! Ok, you're right... there are also good Irish whiskeys. Very nice atmosphere and great bar manager. The teeling is ordered twice, once for me and once for my mother, whom we successfully converted together today. Good Job! ☺️ Thorsten

Unfortunately nothing was eaten but there was a very stylish atmosphere.

Nice, quaint pub. Owner friendly and very nice. The food tastes very good and doesn't cost much.

Nice pub, authentically decorated and the menu had everything you would expect from all other Irish pubs. Service was quick and friendly. Watched darts and it was a casual and relaxed atmosphere.

There is a large selection of whiskey and rum. The owners are very knowledgeable about the respective drinks and open to conversation. I didn't try the food, but there is a large selection for a pub.

Very, very friendly staff, the lady could say a lot about scotch and whiskey when asked about specific orders. The selection is carefully chosen and you get your money's worth. Sweet cocktails are less common here, but there is a very large selection of “tart” cocktails. People are very happy to come here for the right evening. The ambience is very nicely designed and not, as might be expected at first glance at the outside door, very dark and gloomy, like a haunted house, but rather a beautiful Irish pup. We would be happy to come back.

During our holiday in Oberstdorf we had dinner and drinks in the pub. First we ate a delicious hamburger/sandwich on the terrace and drank some beers. Then we went down the stairs and sat at the bar where we drank some delicious whiskey and rum. Gesa, the owner, gave us a nice evening. Thanx

It was my first time there and since my husband always fetched the beer due to the self-service, I unfortunately didn't notice any service! What struck me positively was the toilet, which was very clean and fragrant and there were a lot of hygiene items there Sex toys available!!!I also missed typical dishes on the menu, like Shepard's pie and fish and chips!!!But the beer was delicious!!!

Not allowed to enter to watch 6pm football game with a 10 year old kid. Entrance from 18 years. What?

Every Oberstdorf holiday includes a visit to O'Reilly's with a nice Guinness or Kilkenny. When the weather is nice, outside and if the weather is really bad, in the basement. I can't rate the food because I've only gone there for the drinks mentioned above.

I visit this place every year. Met some great people over there. You need to try a club sandwich!

If you’ve ever watched the show Cheers, this is my Cheers. It’s warm, it’s friendly, and everybody knows your name and drink order. Whether you are craving a spritz, Guinness, or a full meal, pop in here and Gesa and Harry will take care of you like family.

What a cheek! Imagine I'm standing there at the door and the landlady comes over and tells me that all the seats have been reserved. Yes, my, I don't understand that, but then she gets cheeky and comes here with a face like I was the worst offender. Well, I never experienced that! I didn't pick up anything else and I thought: "It's going to be a big fuss!" A lot of respect, you don't know that anymore! That's it for me, so I'll just go back. Well, a little politeness, that's not necessary. I don't care about the beast!

Die irische Kneipe macht Werbung, damit dass Iren unfreundlich sind. Die Chefin an der Bar lebt dieses Motto vor. Keine Lust auf Gäste. Und auf ihren Job und auf überhaupt nichts. Das ist schade, weil der Laden gemütlich eingerichtet ist. Man sollte sich auch freuen, dass es in der morbiden und fast ausgestorbenen Innenstadt von Oberstdorf auch über Pfingsten noch Kneipen gibt.!

When you go down the stairs into the pub and the owner/tenant tells you in the most unfriendly tone that the place is full and you can't drink anything even though there was enough space, I really scratch my head. Even when we asked if we could have a drink at the bar, she said no with the same sentence as before. We had previously heard about the grumpy lady behind the counter, but wanted to see for ourselves, as impressions often vary. I rarely write bad reviews and only when certain aspects don't work. And here the lady really shone with her unfriendliness. I don't know what this kind of behavior has to do in the service sector.

Very unfriendly staff. Unfortunately not very insightful and not professional. It's a shame because I've had very positive experiences with Irish pubs so far. Unfortunately not in Oberstdorf.

A very cozy pub decorated with great attention to detail

We would have liked to drink a beer. Unfortunately, we were initially reprimanded by an employee. We would have liked to sit at the counter or bar table. But that didn't work on a Monday evening that wasn't well attended. She tried to assign us a table without simply saying hello or good evening. We left again.

This owner, this old grandma, was just annoying but the dark bar man was great

One of the best pizzerias in and around Hahnsätten for decades. Italians still make real Italian pizza and pasta here!!! Top !!! And good wines are now on offer!!!

Witzige Kneipe mit leckerem Bier

There are much nicer Irish pubs...e.g. the one in Kempten. O'Reilly's Irish Pub is kind of dingy...the walls haven't been painted in a long time...

The staff is very nice, the drinks are good with traditional Irish drinks, beers and whiskeys. The food is excellent and the atmosphere is cozy. There is also a pub quiz every week with tricky questions and good answers. All in all highly recommended.

Very nice pub in the middle of Oberstdorf. Always nice on Tuesdays for the pub quiz.

We were completely satisfied every time!! Live music brought a great atmosphere to the pub. It was very well attended, the staff had their hands full, but still remained in a good mood and provided us with food and drinks quickly. Dear holidaymakers, don't pay attention to the bad reviews, the echo in the mountains returns what you call in. Inquiries in the chat were also answered immediately. We'd love to come back and enjoy the atmosphere when the landlord has a chat with his local guests.

Schönes Irish Pub, am Essen ist nichts auszusetzen, Getränke super und Ambiente ist sehr schön. Service war nett.

Ich wollte gemütlich zum Abschluss des Abends ein Bier trinken. Das Bier war tatsächlich sehr gut. Leider musste ich mir 20 Minuten die Litanei des Inhabers mit Gästen am Nebentisch anhören. Es ging um die derzeitige schlechte Wirtschaftslage, die hohen Preise, die schlechte Situation für Gastronomen und und und. Das kann ich alles unterstreichen. Ich fahre aber gerade deshalb in Urlaub, um dem ganzen mal zu entgehen. Sorry, um gute Urlaubslaune zu behalten, werde ich hier einen großen Bogen drum machen.

Wie gewohnt steuer ich den O•Rigleighs irish Pub an, alles prima wie immer aber irgendwie sind alle so gestresst(((( Hey hey, was ist los??

Das Bier war lecker, die Bedienung nett. Leider hat das Fussballspiel im Fernsehen andauern geruckelt und ist stehen gebieben. Feierabend um 22 Uhr finde ich auch sehr früh.

Leckeres Essen und ein irisches Bier dazu. Preis-Leistung stimmt und einen freundlichen Service gibt's auch. Top!

Lo frequento ogni volta che partecipo alla competizione ISU Adult Figure Skating Competition. Tipico pub che rallegra le nottate dei pattinatori e non solo. Ottima birra e ottima compagnia.

Kleiner toller Pub, tolle Lokation

Sehr schöner Pub in einem Gewölbekeller. Es gab neben Irischem Bier vom Fass auch ein leckeres Hefeweizen vom Fass. Ebenfalls gibt es auch eine riesige Auswahl an guten Wiskies. Die Bedienung ist sehr sympathisch und zuvorkommend. Alles in allem, ein super Pub!!

Als Berliner fühlte ich mich bei der Wirtin mit "Herz und Schnauze" direkt zuhause. Super Essen, eine von Beginn an freundliche Stimmung und von Harry bin ich ab sofort Fan. Wer ehrliche Pubatmosphäre sucht, wird dort fündig. Wer glattgebügelte Touristen-Hofierung sucht, eher nicht. Freue mich schon aufs nächste Mal......

Der Silvester Frühschoppen war legendär. Es ist immer wie ein Stück nach Hause kommen. Schneller Service, kaltes Bier und leckere Speisen. Wir kommen immer wieder gerne und freuen uns aufs nächste Mal

Wir waren hier bei unserem Besuch in Oberstdorf um noch etwas zu trinken. Der Pub liegt im Keller und verbreitet direkt den Charme eines Irish Pubs. Die Karte bietet die klassischen irischen Biere aber auch regionale Biere. Dazu gibt es verschiedene Gerichte, die wir aber nicht gegessen haben, da wir ja nur etwas trinken wollten. Darüber hinaus bietet der Pub eine breite Auswahl an schottischen und internationalen Whiskys. Leider ist es nicht möglich mit Karte zu zahlen.

Bei unserem Urlaub in Oberstdorf war das O'Reilly's unser zweites Wohnzimmer. Die Chefin des Hauses trägt das Herz auf der Zunge und schafft es, dass man sich rundum wohl fühlt. Getränke und Essen waren immer sehr gut und auch stets sehr schnell am Tisch. Sobald wir wieder in der Nähe sind, ist ein Besuch bei Gesa und Harry fest eingeplant und wir freuen uns bereits jetzt schon darauf!

Kann die Kommentare vorher nicht verstehen. Ist halt kein Obersdorfer Nobel-Schuppen. Sondern ein Pub ! Bedienung war super nett und lustig und hat uns Rum und Gin, Empfehlungen gegeben, die Mega waren. Gerne wieder !

Wir waren an einem Abend zwei Mal dort, sowohl vor und nach dem Essen, wurden beide Male freundlich empfangen und schnell bedient. Neben Getränkeempfehlungen gab‘s auch einen Rum aufs Haus zum probieren. Wir kommen im nächsten Urlaub gerne wieder.

Mein Mann hatte sich sehr auf de Pup gefreut, Fehlanzeige. Wollten wissen ob man einen Tisch reservieren muss, wurde verneint,wenn was frei ist gut wenn nicht hat man Pech. Wir entfernten uns und hörten wie das Personal sich über uns lustig gemacht hat. Mein Mann ist Amerikaner und hat solche Unfreundlichkeit noch nicht erlebt. Traurig. Nie wieder diesen Pup

Wir sind 4 Frauen uns haben in Oberstdorf unseren Urlaub verbracht. Wir sind immer sehr gerne in den Pub gegangen. Danke für Eure Freundlichkeit!!!
