Very friendly service in a cozy atmosphere. Meat cooked to perfection.

We went there for dinner tonight. The restaurant was full, but we were lucky and got a table without a reservation. The young man who served us was very polite and friendly and even recommended a suitable dip. The garlic bread was delicious, and the beef fillet was cooked to perfection. This was our second time there, and it's always fantastic. Highly recommended.

We spontaneously went to the restaurant. The location right next to the Frauenkirche is perfect. The food and drinks were very good. The service was poor. We waited forever for a waiter and weren't greeted. We were completely ignored three times when we asked for a waiter. My husband complained, and only then did the staff become a little friendlier. They did deduct two drinks from our bill for the inconvenience, but unfortunately, it ruined the atmosphere of the evening.

Part of a travel tour from the US and just wanted a burger and to be WARM. Spotted this place and wandered in. Great food and service. They were patient with these Americans and it was greatly appreciated.

You feel welcome from the very first moment. Food: The steak was simply perfect – cooked to perfection, of outstanding quality meat, and a true culinary highlight. Location: The location in Dresden is unbeatable and perfectly complements the exclusive ambiance.

It was okay, nothing special. I had a flank steak, which I had expected to be better. My colleague's filet steak was better. The price-performance ratio wasn't great in my opinion. The service was quick and friendly.

We were there for dinner on Friday, December 5, 2025. Although we hadn't made a reservation, we were seated immediately. The drinks arrived quickly, as did the food, which was absolutely delicious and the portion sizes were perfect. The staff were very friendly and efficient – ​​top-notch! The restaurant's ambiance is modern, cozy, and inviting. In short: A thoroughly enjoyable experience that left nothing to be desired. If I'm ever in Dresden again, I'll definitely eat there again!

Ontario is always great. Unfortunately, we were at the lower level this time, but that didn't matter. It was my daughter's birthday, and the restaurant was beautifully decorated, as you can specify that when ordering online. Unfortunately, my visit to the Ontario Canadian Steakhouse was a huge disappointment. The menu advertised a Wagyu steak, but what I received was just ordinary beef. I felt cheated. Furthermore, the service was very rude and made them feel like they were bothering the customers while they were working. I definitely cannot recommend this restaurant.

The truffle pasta tasted more like sweet cream than truffle. The baked potato, with its dip, was more reminiscent of remoulade. The vanilla sauce and pancakes seemed to have come from a packet and were frozen solid. The patty on the children's burger was like a small meatball – and even smaller than the bun. Overall, a disappointment in terms of taste.

What a fantastic restaurant! We were there for lunch on a Sunday. Our server was truly excellent, and the food was outstanding. I could go on and on, but I think "one of the best restaurants I've ever been to" says it all. If you're in Dresden, go to Ontario!

We went to the Ontario Steakhouse near the Frauenkirche in Dresden today to celebrate a good friend's 50th birthday – and it was a truly wonderful evening! The service was top-notch: friendly, attentive, warm, yet pleasantly relaxed. We felt completely at home. The food was also outstanding – superb quality, perfectly cooked meat, everything fresh and lovingly presented. You can tell the passion that goes into the work here. The only downside: the restrooms. Unfortunately, they were noticeably dirty – not just from recent guests, but you could tell they hadn't been thoroughly cleaned in a while. That's a shame, because it doesn't fit with the otherwise very positive overall impression. Nevertheless: the service and cuisine were absolutely top-notch, and we had a thoroughly enjoyable evening in a great atmosphere. We'd love to come back – hoping that next time the restrooms will also meet the restaurant's high standards.

A great location for cool, personalized drinks. A very relaxed, informal atmosphere with super friendly and attentive service and bartenders. No distance is too far, and every wish is happily fulfilled. Max and Jonas, in the lounge on the first floor, are particularly noteworthy. With lots of fun and humor, the two provide an unforgettable experience.

The waitress looked like she simply didn't feel like working. No smile, no welcome. Mayo was forgotten in the order. A second waiter was asked to bring a tube of mayo, but he couldn't bring it either and simply forgot. The restaurant industry is overwhelmed by small things. Young people need better or different training.

A wonderfully located establishment across from Dresden's most famous landmark, the Dresden Frauenkirche. However, this establishment is a tourist scam, boasting attractive happy hour prices of €6.50 for an Aperol spritz. Once the bill arrives, the price jumps to €9!! The arrogant waiter wouldn't listen.

Great food. Top-notch taste. The waiters are friendly, they could listen a little better to what you want to drink, but otherwise very nice.

Not even worth a star! We ordered cheesecake, which was absolutely dry and unfortunately tasted bad. The iced coffee tasted like very strong, stale coffee. When we said we didn't like the cake, the response was, "It's just so-so." We still had to pay for everything. Not worth recommending.

A great location, of course, but also top-notch food. The meat was perfectly prepared, beautiful cuts. The waiter was very attentive and regularly checked on us. We had reservations and were seated upstairs: neatly set tables with white linens and matching napkins. I felt a little underdressed, but we were treated just as well as everyone else. It's not cheap, but you can taste that, so we felt it was worth every euro! (55 euros per person, excluding starters and coffee afterward)

Absolutely wonderful food that scratched the BBQ itch I’d had. The outdoor seating was also lovely, right next to the Frauenkirche so the view was stunning. And the staff was incredibly kind and attentive. They make you feel welcome the moment you take your seat. Will definitely stop by again the next time I’m in Dresden!

Highly recommended, great meat, great service

Located right next to the Frauenkirche (Church of Our Lady), the Ontario invites you to linger with its Canadian menu. The service is excellent. Everything tasted superb. The meat was cooked to perfection, and the dessert was a dream. The price is due to the good quality of the meat and the location, so it's perfectly reasonable.

Cuando estábamos caminando por la Frauenkirche después de la cena nos dimos cuenta de este restaurante y nos interesamos automáticamente porque somos canadienses. Tienen un bonito patio grande con un montón de asientos dentro y fuera y después de revisar el menú me interesó su opinión sobre el bar Nanaimo. Es seguro decir que estropearon el bar Nanaimo y ese es el aspecto en el que estoy clasificando este restaurante. Entré a pedir una barra de Nanaimo para ir y conseguí lo que yo consideraría algún tipo de pastel de crema - tenían la capa inferior casi correcta, pero la capa superior de chocolate era un poco sin sabor y desmenuzable. La capa media fue la verdadera decepción porque usaron una crema batida espesa en lugar de la crema de vainilla normal, azúcar glas y mantequilla. El restaurante no estaba tan ocupado como otros en la zona y la aparición del bar Nanaimo debería haberme dicho que me alejara. Vi a la señora cortar el postre restante y me dio la mitad notablemente más pequeña también. Mi experiencia podría haber sido mejor y la comida y las bebidas que vi se veían bien, pero me gustaría ir a otro lugar para encontrar un postre después de la cena. Tienen una gran vista de la plaza en el patio, así que creo que habría sido feliz sentado fuera con una bebida.

The wait staff had a bad attitude from the minute I sat down. I accidentally spilled my drink and the waiter tried to hand me the rag? They also didn’t offer a replacement or anything just acted irritated by me. When ordering I got the steak and asked for rosemary fries. The waitress didn’t inform me the rosemary were potatoes not fries and came with potato. When I expressed the error again she was irritable and rude. They charged me for both but by the time payment came I wanted to leave. The steak was not great dry. And they charge extra for ketchup and simple condiments so weird. Honestly I don’t know if they’re just a holes or racist. But will never be going back. The oysters and lemonade were good. But would never reccomend here when there are many other great places to choose from.

Very centrally located. Great drink options - fairly good food and service. We went right before or right when they opened so it wasn’t as busy. Food took a while, but it was good. Fairly priced. Worth a visit if you want some burger and Canadian style steakhouse options.

I ordered a premium rump steak with high expectations. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed. The meat didn't live up to the quality I expected for the price. I ordered it medium and it was served rare. As a steakhouse, you should be able to offer a variety of different levels of doneness. Therefore, unfortunately, I can't recommend it.

Extremely friendly service! Mr. Eulenberger, in particular, stood out for his competence and friendliness. Due to a complete failure of Deutsche Bahn, I didn't arrive in Dresden until 11:20 PM, but I still got an excellent bison meal when I joined my family. I was then able to enjoy it with a delicious whiskey. I was particularly pleasantly surprised by the whiskey selection.

Our visit, with a total of seven people, was attended to to our complete satisfaction by Mr. Eulenberger and his team. Dinner began as scheduled at 8:00 p.m. with six guests present. The quality of the food was consistently of the highest standard. Mr. Eulenberger's expert advice on the individual dishes and the accompanying drinks deserves special mention. A minor mistake in the drink selection—an incorrectly served drink—was corrected promptly and without complications. Due to a massive train delay, the seventh person in our group didn't arrive until around 11:30 p.m., more than three hours after the originally scheduled start time. Despite the kitchen's official opening hours until 11:00 p.m., Mr. Eulenberger still provided the latecomer with a full dinner, including a steak of the same excellent quality as the other guests. Thanks to this commitment, our evening together was able to continue without any loss of quality or atmosphere. Overall, our visit stood out due to the exceptionally high standards of service, quality, and hospitality. A convincing experience in every respect – highly recommended. Clearly top marks!

This was my first time here, and as a steak lover, I actually wanted to choose the Wagyu steak. However, since I wanted to test whether the restaurant could handle steaks first, I settled for a simple rump steak. I'm attached to the pictures. I'm generally very happy with the steak. I asked for it medium, and that's exactly what it was. The bread and herb butter were also delicious and went well with the steak. I opted for the 300g version and had some game soup beforehand. The game soup was unfortunately not visually appealing. All the ingredients were cooked to perfection, but the soup came in a bowl that didn't look great in itself, and the soup wasn't decorated either. I would have liked at least a sprig of parsley or something else as a topping. I know, this is nitpicking. But they charge high prices here, and I want little things like that, too. Overall, it was a great evening, but due to the price and the lack of decoration, I'm only giving it 4 stars. Because it wasn't perfect.

We visited this restaurant in conjunction with a birthday getaway to Saxon Switzerland. The service was first-class. The table was set for us with birthday decorations. As a small gift on the house (that's what we understood), we were given a cocktail of the day in a champagne glass. When the bill came: €9 for 190 ml, I was quite surprised. The portion size is also very modest. Three spoonfuls of mashed potatoes and a few beans with bacon for €5.90 each was quite excessive... The taste was very good. One portion definitely won't fill you up, hence only 3 stars.

The food wasn't as ordered. It's a shame that you're never seen as a customer, as a person. Then they start arguing, making you feel bad for even saying anything. From then on, you're just ignored because the waiter takes it personally. In the end, the bill was wrong, and we sat there for ages. It's a shame, I wouldn't recommend it.
