Very tasty and extremely generous gyro plate for a fair price, we were very satisfied. There is a star deduction for Cash Only and lying to me that it is on their website, which it isn't after a thorough check of the website. And if so, then not in a prominent place where it could be read immediately.

The insider tip in the south of Dortmund The inconspicuously located restaurant on the Baroper market square has stood for delicious Greek food for decades. You can sit inside or, if the weather is good, outside for several years. In contrast to other local restaurants, the prices here are right and you get a lot of value for your money. The restaurant is family-run and it shows. You are greeted warmly, the employees are in a good mood and are always very friendly and helpful. It was recently renovated (looks really good!) A real tip for those who are really hungry is the gratinated Metaxagyros (Metaxa gyro plate) or the gratinated gyros with hollandaise sauce! My family and friends also appreciate the food and we like to come over more often. An absolute must after a tiring day with a craving for soul food.

Super delicious! Greek grill that has been in the family for several generations. Quality over decades with simply unbelievably good gyro skewers! Also recommended is the original Greek pita. Sensational fries with fresh tzatziki are a treat that you can treat yourself to. The prices have always remained low to moderate over the years. The portions are also very generous and often almost excessive. In the evening it is advisable to pre-order by phone, otherwise you may have to wait half an hour to 3/4 hour for your food. An absolute recommendation!

I've been going there for 25 years when I'm hungry for a quick bite. I think it's a shame that the gyros are chopped up again after cutting. It would be juicier with larger pieces. The usual salads. Natural sheep's cheese is delicious. The tzatziki almost perfect. Curry/bratwurst ok. Hot dog/burger not so much. Very friendly, quick staff. Fast service with usually 6 people (!) behind the small counter. Perfect organization and teamwork. Places inside and outside on the street. Parking is not easy. Danger! Unfortunately, the individual prices have increased between a whopping 50%-67% from September 2020 to today. This can no longer be justified with price increases in purchasing and personnel.

The food is absolute madness. NEVER disappoint. Extremely well organized (sometimes with 4 or more people behind the counter) and even with a chain operation you can always pick up in 15-20 minutes if you order in advance by phone. Price-performance unbeatable in my opinion.

Very tasty food and an extensive selection of fresh salads on top, but be careful, the portions are not for the small hunger in between, because they are really generous... Clear recommendation!

Hello friends of the Greek snack, We have been eating or picking up food at the Olympia Grill for years. To eat: The meat dishes are great with salad and fries on the side. Food eaters in particular get their money's worth (we always take one dish with us or have something left for the next day). About the ambience: It should not be assumed that you will be welcomed here in a restaurant atmosphere. It is a snack bar with its snack bar charm. Nevertheless, you have to be lucky to be able to get a seat there while people are constantly picking up the dishes they ordered and taking them home with them. Please be prepared that no card payment is possible (unless that has been changed). So enjoy it!

We ate there for the first time. It was very tasty and more than enough of everything like meat, fries or salad..... There are menus here for under 10 euros. I can highly recommend this little restaurant.

There is really great gyros here that is extremely seasoned and also comes out crispy on the plate. Price/performance ratio is totally right, the portions are really good. So take a look.

Just good. But you also have to say that the interior is getting older. A complete renovation would do the snack bar some good.

Rated bad twice recently but the last few times it was the same as before and simply very good. Gyros made to order, again nice and brown and very tasty. If you have a waiting period and communicate that, then you actually get everything exactly how you want it.

Unfortunately the gyros was inedible, very greasy, gristly, partly burnt, cream, cucumbers, very sour. Unfortunately, it was my first and last visit there

Price/performance top, good portions, high quality, well seasoned meat. Everything was delicious, everyone was full. Sure, always full and loud...just like in Greece. For the Gyros Pita I would put the sauce, i.e. the tzatziki, under the meat or separately, we didn't like it slapped on like that, but next time we'll communicate it.

The food was good every time. Unfortunately parking is difficult. The service was fine.

You can always eat well here. The staff is always friendly and the popularity of this restaurant speaks for itself. They come to the Olympic grill from all directions. Clear recommendation. But you have to be patient during peak times. But it's worth it. You can now even sit outside to eat. The portions are more than decent. Everyone should be satisfied here.

Best Greek! Super tasty and large portions. BUT: if possible, go there during the week, on a Sunday we had several half-raw gyros that we had to fry again at home. On the weekends it's just too crowded and they can't keep up with the orders.

The food is delicious, but has never been better. Gyros form a layer of oil on the plate and cold fries are placed in the deep fryer with fresh fries - then they are hard and no longer edible. Service staff are new and make an effort to prepare everything quickly.

Very tasty and plentiful dishes. The operators are very friendly. The ambience is more like a tavern in Greece, but it doesn't matter that much if it tastes good. The price is in the lower midfield, which is very nice. Definitely worth a visit.

I haven't eaten a gyro as delicious as the one here at the Olympia Grill in ages 😊 The employees are super friendly and the store is very clean. The price-performance ratio here is 1 to 1 😊 As far as the portions are concerned, I can only say: "You'll get enough here." The tzatziki is homemade and the fries are delicious 😋 I was more than happy with the food, which is why I give the Olympia Grill 5 stars. And a very clear recommendation ☺️

Unfortunately I didn't have any cash with me and had to go to the ATM, the owner didn't want anything from me as a deposit, so I quickly got some money, apologized again and went home full. Whenever I'm in Dortmund again, I'll go and eat delicious gyros.

Die alte Besitzerin sollte endlich in Rente gehen. Sie ist so verwirrt, dass sie mehr Geld abkassiert als wie auf der Preisliste steht. Die gehört jeden Tag kalt abgeduscht im Altersheim. Die Portionen sind viel zu klein für den Preis ! Und gerne werden halb frittierte Pommes serviert ! 0 von 5 Punkten

Wenn 6 Griechen hinter der Theke stehen und man den Zulauf an Kundschaft sieht und man für einen kurzen Moment glaubt, man sei in Griechenland, dann muss das gut sein.

Das Essen ist wirklich klasse, so muss Gyros sein. Sehr freundlicher Service, ich wäre Stammgast, wenn ich in Hombruch wohnen würde.

Eine Frechheit! Haben Essen geholt. Ich habe einen Bauernsalat bekommen der aus 1 1/2 Tomaten und 1/5 Gurke bestand. Kein Feta, keine Zwiebeln. Für 6 Euro kann man nicht viel erwarten, aber auch nicht oben genanntes. Die Calamari meines Mannes waren TK und nicht genießbar. Grauenvoll! Hier werde ich niemals wieder essen

Sehr gutes Gyros, ausreichende Portionen, man wird mehr als satt. Gehe schon seit über 20 Jahren immer mal wieder hier hin und war immer sehr zufrieden.

Ein hervorragender Ort um ordentliche Portionen und gute Küche zu genießen. Ich esse seit über 10 Jahren immer wieder gerne dort, eigentlich immer wenn ich zufällig daran vorbei komme. Ich habe nur eine Sache entdeckt die mich erschreckt hat und das war das neue hotdog Würstchen das ist zwar okay, aber weit vom alten weg, also bitte bringt die alten hotdogs zurück. Ansonsten ist wirklich alles super bei euch macht weiter so.

Ich war gestern da und einfach nur begeistert! Essen super lecker mit einer ordentlichen Portion und die Bedienung war auch super freundlich. Ich komme gerne wieder!

Wie immer toll! Der Außenbereich könnte noch etwas mehr von der Straße abgeschirmt werden, aber das ist meckern auf hohem Niveau.
