Filia in Dortmund

A very good Greek restaurant in Dortmund. We went there with a large group from the Malteser restaurant. The service was really good and friendly, and we found the food very tasty. If you're looking for a Greek restaurant in Dortmund, I highly recommend this one!

We were there for dinner. We reserved a table online, which worked out great. The food was excellent and the staff very friendly.

For me, it's the perfect place to celebrate with friends after a matchday or simply enjoy a cozy evening. Eat like a Greek master:** The cuisine is a hit – whether it's juicy gyros, tender lamb, or the legendary moussaka, the food is cooked with heart and skill. The appetizer platter is like a well-rehearsed storm: every bite is a hit. Atmosphere like in the Westfalenstadion: The ambience is warm and inviting, the team friendly and attentive – you immediately feel welcome. And when BVB has won, the ouzo tastes twice as good! For me, Filia is like the BVB of restaurants – authentic, passionate, and always a good choice. Anyone who loves Greek cuisine and has a passion for the Black and Yellows will feel right at home here. Full marks – like a 5-0 win against Schalke.

Traditional Mediterranean cuisine meets modernity. The food was outstanding, not only from the menu but also from the plate. The service definitely deserves 10 stars. Very attentive, not only did they quickly bring an English-language menu, but even as we were seated, they immediately thought of a vase for the flowers we had brought with us. A very tastefully decorated restaurant with great attention to detail. There should be something for everyone on the extensive menu. The dishes were all delicious. We ate here for the first time today. Whether it was the appetizer, main course, or dessert, everything was homemade and absolutely delicious! We had: Appetizer: Stuffed Vine Leaves Main Course: Baby Calamari: Homemade and freshly breaded Bifteki stuffed with tomato and feta – super tender, juicy meat Dessert: Chocolate soufflé with a generous liquid center and vanilla ice cream Greek yogurt with cream, warm honey, and walnuts Absolutely delicious and highly recommended. We walked in on a whim and asked if there was a free table. Oh, they didn't have a reservation... no... hmm... ah, a table just opened ;-) We sat down and the cards came quickly. They saw us put the cards on the table, and whoosh... someone came to take our order. Our orders arrived and the plates looked good. The food was tasty and plentiful. Unfortunately, both of our dishes were barely lukewarm. The "free" ouzo, almost a standard feature at Greek restaurants, is served here in a lovely little bottle. The restaurant has modern decor, the service is very attentive... and perhaps next time the food will be warmer...

A wonderful Greek restaurant with good wines and an exceptional selection of cold and hot appetizers. From the seasonal menu, the veal liver and mussels in a garlic and cream sauce are particularly noteworthy and highly recommended. Classic Greek dishes like bifteki and souvlaki are also available and are excellently prepared. The Gyros Filia, served in a small pan, is highly recommended. Wonderful hosts with a lovely dose of Ruhr region flair. We'd happily return!

Very good food. A little lacking in tzatziki, but you can't get enough of the delicious homemade version. It's perfectly grilled, as you'd expect from a good Greek restaurant. Perfectly seasoned. What more could you want?!

Good food, great staff, friendly boss

The atmosphere, the food, and especially the service were simply fantastic. We felt very comfortable and this certainly won't be our last time there.

The main course I ordered was a lamb stew, among other dishes; so I was expecting some kind of stew. Instead, it was a leg of lamb with rice noodles and relatively little liquid (I found the meat a bit garlicky at first). The complimentary ouzo (salad/amusegöl wasn't free) unfortunately didn't come with lemon juice (I had seen it served this way in Corfu a week or two ago). Otherwise, everything was fine. Card payments are accepted, but cash is strongly preferred.

Great food, delicious wines, a great atmosphere, and fantastic service. If you like Greek food, you'll love Filia. I'd go back again and again.

We were there with a large group of 18 people. Despite the large number, the food arrived quickly, at the same time, and was delicious.

The meze plate, filleted sea bream with vegetables, and a selection of desserts were all very, very tasty. Service 👍. Price/performance ratio was good. I just wouldn't want to sit outside; it's far too loud and uncomfortable.

Extremely friendly. We were there with our baby and had a truly wonderful time. We also really enjoyed the food. We'd love to come back.

We ate there two evenings in a row during a short vacation. Simply fantastic 😊 The service (chef?) was super friendly, and a huge compliment to the chef. The food was plentiful and tasted impeccable. If we're ever in the area again, we'll be back in a heartbeat. Absolutely recommend it!

Value for money was okay. A grilled plate with plenty of meat costs €3 more than a minced steak. My criticism here is the price of the minced steak. Rice was soaked in tomato sauce, but it was quite flavorless. There was no salad to start with or as a side dish. Service was good, and missing or incorrectly delivered dishes were promptly replaced. Taste is always subjective, but unfortunately, mine wasn't.

We stopped by by chance and have no regrets. Everything was super freshly prepared and the service was excellent. We'd love to come back again.

There were two of us there and we ordered a few select meze – the vegetarian selection among the starters is pleasingly large. The main courses, on the other hand, are rather limited for vegetarians. The tzatziki was nice and light and truly delicious. The beets seemed fresh and elaborately prepared. The feta in batter with honey and the mushrooms baked with cheese also impressed us. The service was extremely friendly – ​​attentive, warm, and pleasantly unobtrusive. The prices are on the upscale side, and the portions are rather small. We found it a bit expensive for what you get – but overall, it's a stylish, friendly place with solid cuisine. In conclusion: Good vegetarian meze, great service – but there's still room for improvement in terms of value and the selection of main courses.

I ate at Filia with my girlfriend on a recommendation. Everything was perfect: The service staff was very friendly, helpful in making decisions 😉 and quick. We had a shared appetizer (feta), the calamari, and chicken with bacon. Everything was very tasty, not overcooked, but tender. The dessert was also very tasty and beautifully presented (the Greek yogurt looked like scoops of ice cream). The espresso and cappuccino were hot and strong. We'd love to come back!

Friendly & attentive staff. A modern and clean restaurant. Ambience and inventory modern and chic. Location well located and easy to reach, whether by car, bike or on foot. I ordered a burger with fries for €17.90. Taste wise OK, fries are just fries but the burger was pretty small. No adult will get enough of it, it's more for children and so I find it poor value for money Plus (5+) The first experience is always extremely important, I wouldn't come here again because of the burger. But of course everyone should have their own experience.

Very nice service and delicious food

There is an extremely hospitable atmosphere at Filia. The atmosphere is modern yet cozy. The meat is not too fatty and the use of convenience products is kept within limits. The portions are large. Unfortunately, the €17 gyro plate does not contain any salad. The desserts are excellent. I debated between 4 and 5 stars for a long time, but in the end I have to deduct one star for the pricing, the decision not to include Coca-Cola in the range and the lack of parking facilities. Nevertheless, it wasn't the last time we were here. Card payment possible. Reservations recommended as it is usually busy.

I advise against the delivery service. The gyros pitta that was delivered was neither worth the money nor really edible. The pitta consisted of bread, some sauce, dry meat and a few soft fries. That had nothing to do with a gyros pitta.

A work colleague and I were looking for something to eat and we came across this little beauty of a place atmosphere looked great from the outside seating and everyone enjoying the sunshine so we went in and I ordered the pork with rosemary potatoes, thoroughly enjoyed the meal and the staff were lovely

We ordered for four people and the food was more than enough!!! The gyros were really very tasty and the homemade satziki was outstanding. The delivery was really quick from the city center to Huckarde (on the weekend and BVB was playing)! The ambience cannot be rated as we were not there. This Greek can only be recommended by the four of us!

I had a halloumi salad, which was very tasty, but unfortunately also very small. The waiter was nice, but unfortunately made us wait a long time. The restaurant as a whole is very tastefully decorated.

The two of us went there spontaneously this afternoon and we really enjoyed it. A chic Greek restaurant with a feel-good atmosphere, friendly service and delicious food with good value for money, what more could you want? We had the mixed appetizer platter and I really could have dug into anything! So good and, above all, extremely tasty, which I often miss in restaurants, that I have the feeling that people are afraid to use spices, but here it was completely perfect! For the main course I had the calamari and here too: very nice light breading, crispy and well seasoned and the salad with it was nicely dressed. The desserts also scored points, unlike expected but absolutely positive. Nowadays, most desserts are assumed to be something from the freezer, but here too you could taste that there was skill behind it and that it was really authentic Greek cuisine (we had the dough balls and the puff pastry with vanilla cream). But what really made our stay sweeter was the super friendly waiter, who, with his answer of 'So be it' to all our requests, showed so warmly that he really enjoys his job and you rarely see that these days. We would love to come back and are already looking forward to the next time!

I have been to Filia several times with my work colleagues. Both at lunchtime and in the evening. The lunch menu is excellent, there is something for everyone and the price is great. The “normal” menu is extensive and the portions are very generous. The service is excellent. Even my work colleague, who is very demanding, told me: "I always feel comfortable there." I'm already looking forward to my next visit to the Filia - Jamas🇬🇷🤣 restaurant

Typically Greek in the heart of Dortmund. Delicious specialties. The service was very quick despite it being early on a Friday evening. We had four starters, hamburger, calamari and lavraki grill.

Lovingly and modernly furnished restaurant with niches and a very friendly, attentive staff. Extensive menu with meze and many specialties. Prices are in the upper midfield, but reasonable. We had grill mix 1, tzatziki, zucchini fritters, feta meli (a dream), fries, a small mixed salad, bread and I have to say, everything was lovingly prepared, freshly prepared and tasted excellent. For me it's the best "Greek" I've ever eaten at in Dortmund. And I know almost everyone here. The Filia makes you want more. Thank you!

The service was very good and the staff was also very friendly. The food was served relatively quickly. I ate the Grill Mix 1 plate there. This was very tasty. Afterwards there was an ouzo on the house. This was served for 4 of us in a small 0.2 liter bottle.

I can recommend Filia, it's clean and cozy, the food is delicious. And that should be the most important thing. The waiters are friendly, but unfortunately sometimes inattentive. The women's toilets are in the basement. It's quite narrow there. But it's still worth a visit, you'll be full and satisfied...

The service was really good and on point. That's how it has to be. There were 8 of us there and everyone basically had a different dish. Almost everyone was satisfied. However, there was criticism. The gyro lacked juiciness and was really not fried well. The meat could have been a little more fatty. In my opinion, spices were also saved.

The Filia restaurant offers a good selection of dishes that are freshly and lovingly prepared. However, there are unfortunately only a few vegetarian or vegan options on the menu, which is a bit of a shame as more and more guests value these alternatives. Still a recommended restaurant with great service and good food - with a little more variety on the menu it would be perfect!

I had the Grill Mix 1 with Rosemary Potatoes Extra and I was very satisfied. The order could have been taken a little quicker, which is why only 4 stars for the service, but then the food came quickly and was very tasty. If I get lost in Dortmund again, I would be happy to come back.

The store is really just a laugh. I ordered two grill plates through Lieferando for around €15 each and I wrote that I would like the grill plates with tzatziki. These jokes send seriously 2 tiny pots, which I should then also pay extra at an absurd price: D Salad side dishes should also be paid extra 😂 This is really so stupid that it hurts me physically. Every time I tried to make contact by phone I would be pushed away 😂 also super professional. Then the driver, when I wanted to suggest that this may not be the cleverly approach, would like to explain that Greek Tsatziki cannot be compared to Turkish. So do they really think their customers are stupid? This is so absurd... dude! This is tzatziki... and not even a particularly good one 😂 it's the damn cheapest thing you have in your store, you should rub it from head to toe for your customers for free 😂. But if you mix ketchup and mayo and then call it “Filiasauce”, you probably can’t help it anymore.

Nice, modern restaurant near the city center. The service was attentive and friendly. Empty glasses were quickly put away and people were regularly asked if they wanted anything else. The food was very tasty and at a comparatively reasonable price for the large portions you get. We particularly liked the veal liver from the additional menu. Normally you know it in one piece and here it was cut into small pieces and fried with peppers and was really very tender. The only downside is unfortunately the parking spaces, if you're unlucky you'll have to look longer but that's the case with every restaurant on the street.

We were at Filia for the first time on a Sunday lunchtime, and it wasn't the last time...Very nice ambience, elegantly styled, attentive service, very friendly and guest-oriented. Food was very tasty, grape leaves as a starter have never been so delicious, top! Main course also great, portions sufficient and dessert just as great. We'd love to come back, good luck to you!

As soon as you enter, you are greeted by the good style of the furnishings. Staff friendly and quick. Food like in Greece! We shared some things and even that was immediately served with an extra plate. Tzatziki with fresh cucumbers and enough garlic👍 Feta Meli is a dream🥰 Fresh bread and Greek fries🍀 Absolutely the best that Garides Saganaki 😮‍💨😋 Absolute recommendation!!

With the best Greek restaurant I've eaten at, modern, cozy atmosphere, I had a grill plate, the gyros was so tender and delicious, I've never eaten such good souflaki in my life, the prices are top, 3 different types of tap Beer, which is outstanding, if you like Greek, this is the place for you.

The perch was delicious and the fries are also special.

Very friendly service, attentive but not intrusive. Menu very diverse. We took advantage of the varied lunch menu, super flavorful and rich. A small drink was included. The atmosphere is overall pleasant.
