Old Town Guard in Görlitz

We spent another wonderful evening at our Old Town location. Everything is just perfect here. It starts with the ambiance and culminates in the hospitality, service, and delicious food. You can eat the menu from top to bottom. Everything is cooked with love and leaves you wanting more! It tastes simply amazing! Huge praise to the entire team! A culinary highlight in Görlitz: The Old City Watch! The "Alte Stadtwache" at Obermarkt 27 in Görlitz is an absolute must for lovers of home-style German cuisine and a place where you immediately feel at home. Our visit was crowned by the seasonal enjoyment of asparagus with a perfectly prepared schnitzel - a dish that completely delighted us. In general, schnitzel dishes such as “Landsknechtschnitzel” or variations with mushrooms seem to be well received by guests. The beer served with it was also of excellent quality and went well with the food. The service is particularly noteworthy: super friendly, attentive and warm - a service that makes the visit even more pleasant and is described by many guests as "quick and very friendly". The restaurant itself is decorated very tastefully and with attention to detail, which creates an immediate feel-good atmosphere. The historical ambience of the medieval building contributes to a rustic and cozy atmosphere. The “Alte Stadtwache” is an absolute recommendation for every Görlitz visitor who values ​​delicious food, friendly service and an appealing ambience. My only wish: Please open a branch in Hamburg!

We “just” wanted to eat a quick schnitzel and got what was probably the tastiest asparagus with schnitzel dish ever. The price is great, the asparagus is on point and the sauce is a poem. Absolutely recommended!!! Be sure to try the grapefruit spritz.

We received an incredibly warm welcome. The phrase above the entrance: "A good guest is never a burden" is a hallmark of the restaurant. As first-time guests, we were immediately made to feel very personally that we were truly welcomed into this lovingly detailed establishment. The Silesian heaven was also a delight. I'll definitely keep it in mind for my next visit to Görlitz.

We were visiting Görlitz, the weather was great, either the restaurants were still closed or not because of good weather 😳. We received such a warm welcome here. The food was sooo great. The service was so warm and friendly. We'll be back tomorrow because we have to try the other food too

The service is very friendly, the food tastes great and is freshly prepared. If you sit in the front part, it's pretty cool sometimes when the door keeps opening.

We had a very pleasant stay two evenings in a row. The landlady is super warm and attentive. The food is tasty at moderate prices. The restaurant is cozy. We can happily recommend the Alte Stadtwache.

Alles perfekt, Essen lecker und Service top.

Wir sind heute am frühen Abend dort essen gewesen und es war sehr lecker. Der Service war richtig nett und freundlich und ein gemütliches Ambiente. Wir können dieses Restaurant nur weiterempfehlen. Und kommen bestimmt bald wieder.

Übersichtliche Speisekarte, aber dafür sehr lecker, große Portionen und nicht teuer. Hier wird das Essen mit Liebe zubereitet. Das wird nicht mein letzter Besuch gewesen sein!!!

Super nettes Team und super leckeres Essen. Wir sind zufällig " reingeschneit". Hier ist derzeit Weihnachtsmarkt und auch noch zahlreiche Weihnachtsfeiertag. Aber die netten Damen hatten noch zwei Plätze. Alles bestens! Sehr gerne wieder!

Schöne kleine Gaststätte mit überaus freundlicher Bedienung und sehr guter Hausmannskost zu einem fairen Preis. Das stille Örtchen erfreut sich auch der Sauberkeit.

Richtig urig und gemütlich eingerichtet und das Essen war auch noch vorzüglich. Die Besitzer sind mit Herz bei der Sache, das merkt man.

Gute Küche und wenn's draußen heiß ist,sitzt man drinnen angenehm kühl

Bedienung sehr nett, für uns als Gruppe mit zwei Kleinkindern extra Platz gemacht. Auch gelassen die kinderbedingte Unordnung hinweggelächelt. Für vollpreisige Gerichte leider recht wenig von dem leckeren Essen auf dem Teller. Nicht berücksichtigt ist in dieser Bewertung der Umstand, dass das Ambiente durch die unnötige Zurschaustellung der politischen Einstellung der Betreiber getrübt wird. Welcher Zweck wird denn mit dem Poster am Tresen verfolgt? Einschränkung der potentiellen Kundenzahl? Gehört m.E. nicht in ein Restaurant dieser Art.

Sehr gute bürgerliche Küche, die Schnitzelvariationen sind zu empfehlen! Gutes Preis/Leistungsverhältnis, toller Service und eine schöne Atmosphäre. Gerne wieder! Vielleicht kann man mit der politischen Ansicht etwas dezenter umgehen aber das ist wohl eine persönliche Meinung.
