The food is very tasty! However, it is always very crowded and therefore quite loud, but the food is simply great. Unfortunately, the service has deteriorated significantly in recent years - a real shame.

An absolute delight for the good cuisine lovers in Dusseldorf. Excellent ingredients curated together for a modern twist on Italian, French and International cuisine, while respecting the essence of the main ingredients. Wonderful ambience on the dreamy, quite terrace and cool atmosphere inside. Will come back to have again this taste explosion and high end seafood.

The ambience, service and the truffle pasta were to die for. We can also highly recommend the Hugo. The prices are a bit higher than average, but it's really worth it. We didn't find the restaurant crowded at all.

Very nice atmosphere and a great host. A few more vegetarian alternatives or salads would be desirable. There was a small error on the bill, but it was corrected immediately and excused with drinks on the house. Overall a very nice evening.

Super tasty food, but the portions are a bit too small for my taste. (From the truffle pasta as well as from the dry age steak) (Starter also, buffalo mozzarella and pork belly with sesame) But it really can only be recommended. The taste was unique. The service was very nice and attentive. Always happy 😇

In our opinion, the price/performance ratio was not justified. 270€ for 4 people and no special food. It's a shame, I remembered it better, which is why we chose this restaurant. We came especially from Munich

Super delicious food: the octopus was more tender than I've ever eaten it before and the salmon also tasted great. Great service and nice to sit outside in summer. It's a shame that there's such a big construction site next door at the moment. But in the evening there is no construction noise and hopefully it will be finished soon. We would like to come again.

The salmon fillet with truffle vinaigrette and mashed potatoes and spinach was highly recommended! The menu is small but nice. I also really liked the service, we would definitely come back.

Das Essen war geschmacklich lecker und schön angerichtet auf den Tellern serviert worden. Leider sind die Hauptgänge nicht ausreichend um satt zu werden. Daher finde ich das Preis Leistungsverhältnis nicht ok. Ambiente und Personal alles super. Waren mit 6 Personen da und hatten 450€ gebraucht. Die Männer sind alle noch hungrig gewesen.

Very good food: Vitello Tonnato was great - the best I've eaten so far. Not quite typical, but great. Salmon with side dishes was exceptionally good and the truffle pasta was also very tasty (and even without a truffle flavor, like everywhere else, but with real black truffle). Sitting outside was very pleasant, blankets were also provided, everything was very harmonious. Service was very friendly, even though it was busy. We were pleased that there were also non-alcoholic aperitifs. The only possibility for improvement: the online map was not up to date.

The menu says Surf & Turf, but my companion only wanted steak, which wasn't on the menu. So she told the service when ordering "just the Surf & Turf steak please" - that's how it turned out, the steak was very good, but really tiny and the entire Surf & Turf menu was charged at 49.50 euros. When the bill was presented, the service was informed that this price was too much for half the dish - the service's response was that this was how it was ordered and, after consulting with the kitchen, they decided that the full price should be paid . Very strange service behavior, seems to be the house's strategy - and now the restaurant, which was only half full that evening, has lost two guests for the future. It seems you can allow yourself!

It was very busy today, but the staff were very nice. I wanted to try the octopus because it's my favourite. They only had it as a starter and not as a main course. What a pity. But nevertheless it was very good and full of flavour.

All 3 courses were of excellent quality and tasted excellent. Particularly noteworthy is the great service. Very friendly and accommodating when re-ordering drinks or serving/breaks between courses. You felt very comfortable in the restaurant and would love to come back.

Great food, beautiful outdoor area and good wine selection

We were sitting outside, and our table was right by a manhole in the asphalt, which smelled very bad. While it’s great to sit outside on a warm summer evening, the food, especially considering the price, didn’t make us happy. The overall atmosphere was nice, with some greenery, lights, and pleasant people around. However, I was very disappointed with my octopus. It was dry, cold, and there was very little sauce. My boyfriend’s pasta was just average.

Ein ausgezeichnetes Restaurant und dabei herrlich unkompliziert. Das Oktopussy liegt in einer hübschen, ruhigen Wohngegend und verfügt über lauschige, begrünte Außen Plätze sowie einen gemütlichen kleinen Innenbereich. Alles in allem ein tolles und behagliches Ambiente. Sympathische und überaus aufmerksame Service Mitarbeiter servieren gut gelaunt die durchweg besonderen, kreativen und frischen Gerichte. Ein fantastischer Wein rundete das perfekte Ausgeh Erlebnis für uns ab. Die Preise sind fair und beinhalten sogar noch köstliches Brot mit Aioli, sowie ein feines Amuse. Wir kommen wieder!

We ate there as a couple with a reservation. The atmosphere is rustic, clean and cozy. The service is friendly. It's stupid when tables that ordered after us get their food much earlier. When the card for the next reservation is already on the table and you get your main course 25 minutes before it's finished, it's clear that there's no time for dessert. That wasn't good at all... The food isn't great...but rather average. The prices are about 15% too high. I won't go there a second time. Make the prices smaller...then others will surely come back...

Von der Vorspeise bis zum Dessert hat dieses Restaurant alle unsere Erwartungen übertroffen! Zu Beginn der Gruß aus der Küche ' Spitze. Das Dessert ( weswegen ich extra 45min gefahren bin ) super lecker, Zabaione Eis gibt es leider in der Umgebung kaum. Umso mehr hat es mich gefreut das Eis dort zu finden. Der Service hier ist ausgezeichnet. Unsere Kellnerin war aufmerksam, ohne aufdringlich zu sein. Das gesamte Personal arbeitet nahtlos zusammen. Wir mussten nie etwas zweimal fragen und schnell ging auch alles, trotz das der Laden gut gefüllt war. Die Atmosphäre ist gemütlich, trotz das man nebeneinander sitzt mit gutem Abstand auf der Bank, empfanden wir es nicht als störend und hatten tolle Gesprächsthemen mit unseren Sitznachbarn. Wo hat man das schon? Der Mund war schneller als das Handy, wir haben leider keine Fotos gemacht. Es war unser erster Besuch,nicht der letzte.

From appetizers to dessert, this restaurant exceeded all of our expectations! At the beginning the greeting from the kitchen 'Top. The dessert (which is why I drove an extra 45 minutes) was super delicious, unfortunately Zabaione ice cream is hardly available in the area. I was even happier to find the ice cream there. The service here is excellent. Our waitress was attentive without being intrusive. The entire staff works together seamlessly. We never had to ask anything twice and everything went quickly, despite the store being well stocked. The atmosphere is cozy, despite the fact that we sit next to each other at a good distance on the bench, we didn't find it disturbing and had great topics of conversation with those sitting next to us. Where do you have that? The mouth was faster than the cell phone, unfortunately we didn't take any photos. It was our first visit, not the last.

The grilled squid dish was a bomb explosion of flavors in my mouth . Sublime! Small business with a lot of customers, but the food came quickly and it all looked super tasty! And the service is spontaneous and very friendly.

It's always amazing that you discover the best restaurants where no one would expect them. The service was very friendly and competent and the food was great. You can immediately tell that the kitchen really puts effort into the details. Prices are reasonable. The selection is not that big but very balanced and the atmosphere is very cozy.

Starter (scallops) was very tasty. The main course (zander fillet) went like this. I ate much better then. What I would like to highlight positively is the delicious asparagus soup that was available for free from the kitchen! The ambience is okay, but the service is very good 👍🏽 All in all, unfortunately I can't give it more than three stars because I was still missing that certain something in everything.

We were here in a larger family group; In general, the menu was a bit fish-heavy for us, but we have to say that we all had a perfect and delicious meal. But if I pay well over EUR 30 for a main course, then I also expect that the overall package really fits. In my opinion, the ambience was a bit special and had more of a bar feel and then at some point the mirror ball started spinning and we were all dazzled, but that was still okay. Our seating area in a corner was nice on the surface, but it was quite uncomfortable and cramped to sit in and that was quite tiring after a good 2 hours. But what wasn't possible was to be treated as a guest; When we all ordered espresso etc. at the end and it was brought, we tried to help the waiter because of our tight space and because he couldn't reach the seats at the back. A mishap occurred and an espresso tipped over and spilled over the table and unfortunately also over the trousers of a guest; That can certainly happen, but the waiter's immediate reaction "I have nothing to do with that" without any apology (even afterward) and without any form whatsoever with which he - in such a restaurant - this mishap - whoever who was always ultimately responsible for it - is unacceptable. The pants were wet, there was no compensation for this certainly unintentional mishap and the topic wasn't even mentioned when paying a bill of almost EUR 300 for 5 people. That is not how it works.

Der Oktopus war leider zu durch. Für ein 30€ Gericht hätte ich mehr erwartet. Vergleichsweise hohe Preise aber nicht zwingend gerechtfertigt. Die Vorspeise ( Jakobsmuscheln) waren aber gut (20€).

Yesterday we had our sixth wedding anniversary and also our thirty year old...so double the reason to celebrate...we were there for the first time and what can I say, it was a dream. The atmosphere is really cozy and invites you to stay longer. The food was a pure taste explosion and the cocktails were delicious. Our service was really warm and very attentive. For our special day there were hearts on the table decorations and a gift just for us... really nice. The amuse gueule in advance is also a nice idea... A really nice evening for our special day... we'd love to come back... LG

Great refined cuisine. Extremely delicious and has been for years. Always a must for us when we come to Düsseldorf. Be sure to try the “Hot Puss…” instead of espresso.

This was the best restaurant experience in a long time! I can't think of anything that could be done better. Maybe give away the food? The prices are high but absolutely reasonable, the service is friendly and fast and you sit comfortably outside on wooden chairs at wooden tables. Immediately again!

We had a great experience at "Octopussy". The little greeting from the kitchen was fantastic, but the main course was simply a star experience. The service was outstanding and made our visit very special. Unreservedly recommended!

Delicious food. Unfortunately it was very tight and we had to share a table with four other people (sat right next to each other like a group), so the planned romance unfortunately didn't happen.

Es gibt die Möglichkeiten, an Hochtischen oder normalen Tischen zu reservieren. Bedauerlicherweise war der "normale" Tisch eine Bank ohne Lehne quer im Raum. Das ist nicht sonderlich gemütlich und angenehm. Generell ist es hier eng Bestuhlung, was jedoch auch den Charme ausmacht. Der Service ist sehr schnell und aufmerksam. Die geschmorten Ochsenbäckchen waren sehr zart und ließen sich mit der Gabel essen. Geschmacklich auch sehr gelungen. Es könnte gern etwas mehr Soße sein. Der Saibling war etwas fad und hat in der Proportion nicht zum Essen gepasst. Gesamt gesehen gut, jedoch war es geschmacklich schon mal besser.

There are options to reserve at high tables or normal tables. Unfortunately, the "normal" table was a bench without a back across the room. This isn't particularly comfortable or pleasant. In general, the seating here is tight, but that's part of the charm. The service is very quick and attentive. The braised ox cheeks were very tender and could be eaten with a fork. The taste was also very successful. There could be a little more sauce. The char was a bit bland and didn't fit the food in proportion. Overall it was good, but the taste was better.

Great culinary highlight, a bit hidden in Düsseldorf Pempelfort, which is complemented by outstanding service. Very friendly reception. The ambience is reminiscent of a typical French bistro. Unfortunately, for the price, the quality of the food wasn't very good. Salmon was raw, puree was cold, food wasn't really well presented, there was little seasoning. You sometimes sit on beer benches with other guests. In the back, guests sit very closely at the bar. It is very loud.

A former favorite restaurant and I will no longer be returning. The food portions and quality compared to the updated pricing does not match. Also, we finished our bottle of wine and bottle of water before our main meal was delivered. We had to wave down the waiter to ask where the meal was. After 1.5 hours waiting for the meal a complimentary glass of water would have been appreciated but alas, the service was not on par with the price. We left before dessert to go buy a bottle of water at a kiosk - I refused to spend more money at this establishment.

In all honesty expensive for what is on the plate, I took the starter based on scallops for €20, good but 2 nuts and a small garnish, followed by the grilled octopus for €28.50 €, and I only had a leg of barely 100/150gr on the plate the bill for 1 starter/2 main courses and 3 glasses of wine, ahh and what can we say about a bottle of homemade water billed at €7.80, all for €108, and not the feeling of having enjoyed a dinner surprising or original.

Tuna and risotto were convincing and very tasty. Creme brulée with tonka beans and the finest espresso ice cream. Cool location, interior reduced to the essentials with a very pleasant atmosphere. Creme Brûlée mit Tonkabohne sowie Espressoeis vom Feinsten. Coole Location, auf das Wesentliche reduzierte Interieur mit sehr angenehmer Atmosphäre. Sehr freundlicher, aufmerksamer und kompetenter Service. Wir kommen gerne wieder. Vielen Dank für diesen schönen und köstlichen Abend.

wir hatten einige Monate vorher einen Tisch reserviert, mit der bitte einen gemütlichen Tisch zu reservieren. Als wir ankam hat man uns direkt an einem Stehtisch neben dem Bar hingesetzt, was wir alle nicht gut fanden. Des weiteren kamen wir uns vor dass wir am Laufband bestellen müssen. Kaum waren wir mit einem Gang fertig und der Kellner stand direkt da und wollte direkt die Nachbestellung aufnehmen. Man sollte etwas Zeit dazwischen lassen und nicht die Gäste den Eindruck vermitteln, dass Sie schnell essen sollen und bezahlen. Es kam immer der Satz: Ist alles gut! wollen Sie was bestellen? und das den ganzen Abend. Das Essen befindet sich in einem hohen Preissegment und ist nicht diese Preisklasse Wert. Wir haben uns was anderes erhofft. Leider haben das alle Gäste so gesehen. Manko: Service möchte einen netten Eindruck vermitteln, aber es kommt sehr künstlich rüber und man fühlt sich sehr bedrängt. Fazit: Leider ist der Name die Qualität und Service des Restaurant Meilenstein voraus. Preisleistung befindet man sich in einem sehr hohen Segment was nicht zu der Qualität übereinstimmt. Schade. Wir haben uns viel mehr erwartet. Am besten man macht sich sein eigenen Eindruck. Wir empfehlen es leider nicht weiter ! Nimmt die Rezession positiv auf und arbeitet an eueren Manko. Hoffentlich verbessert ihr euch und wir kommen bald wieder.

Op oudejaarsavond waren wij te gast bij Oktopussy en het was een fantastische avond. Ontzettend lekker gegeten en enorm goede service. In het bijzonder goed geholpen door barman Chris, wat een geweldige vent. We zaten aan de bar en ondanks hij het behoorlijk druk had had hij een goed oog voor wanneer we dorst hadden. Oktopussy is een échte aanrader als je van pittoreske gezelligheid en een goede keuken houd. Jongens bedankt en happy 2024!!

Populair visrestaurant een beetje buiten het centrum van Dusseldorf, zeer lekker gegeten, de gegrilde octopus is zeker een aanrader! Zeer verzorgde gerechten en leuke sfeer! We hebben ervan genoten en komen zeker terug!

Très chouette resto (peu de touristes, surtout des locaux) (un peu en dehors de la vieille ville de Düsseldorf. Le cadre est original et chaleureux. On s est retrouvés à manger sur une grande table entre 1 couple et 1'famille,.ce n' est pas du tout dérangeant. Le service est impeccable, le prix reste très raisonnable, 2 entrées, 2 plats et 2 desserts+1 bouteille de vin blanc(30 euro) et 1 bouteille d eau-) 157 euro pour 2'personnes. Le ceviche était délicieux ! Le tuna steak tout autant. Une adresse qui vaut le détour

Bei der Ankunft wurden wir von einem älteren Mann begrüßt. Er war überhaupt nicht freundlich und sehr genervt. Das ist kein angenehmer Eingang. Außerdem war das Essen gut, aber sehr überteuert. Ich würde es nicht empfehlen.

Die Mitarbeiter waren äußerst freundlich. Das Essen schmeckte gut, der Lachs hätte mir wahrscheinlich angebraten und unmariniert besser geschmeckt. Das Süppchen aufs Haus schmeckte sehr lecker.
