Ohana The Kitchen Bar in Lübeck

I was very surprised at the great ambience. The starter bruschetta was very tasty. The main course (fillet) surpassed everything. Staff very friendly. I would love to come back here

Unfriendly and slow staff, uninspired snacks, but acceptable atmosphere. I guess if everyone else is full it's ok. Just.

Were greeted rather rudely and said we could sit wherever we wanted. Then we did that and waited 10-15 minutes. No menus were given, drinks were not asked, but were completely ignored by the staff. Of course it can happen that you are overlooked, but waiters passed us several times. Then they got up and left. In addition, the atmosphere in the store was rather uncomfortable, you either sat in complete darkness or in very bright light.

We were pretty disappointed here. The service seemed totally overwhelmed, even when taking the order. We had ordered something to eat, pizza and a pasta dish. After almost an hour the food still wasn't there. We then asked for the bill for the drinks and said that we no longer wanted the food. Suddenly the food happened very quickly, but we still refused because who knows how long it had been sitting in the kitchen. The same picture at the next table. The guests were already there when we arrived and therefore had to wait even longer for their food. When we asked, the food suddenly appeared around the corner. The food was served at another table, but the cutlery was missing, and the guests then had to wait almost 10 minutes for it. Our bill didn't come when we asked again, so we had to run after it and then pay almost €12 for two cokes. Unfortunately you can't speak of service in any way, it doesn't exist there! It's just a shame that the boss had disappeared shortly beforehand, so we didn't have the opportunity to talk to him. Unfortunately for us, not again!

Great atmosphere and delicious food! Definitely recommended! The entrance is a bit hidden, the house is in the 2nd row, but the journey is worth it!

Unfortunately I can only give Ohana 2 stars. We've been there several times in the past and when we were in town yesterday we wanted to have a cocktail again. When we opened the card we were very shocked. Prices have exploded in the last 2 years. We paid 13.90 euros for a normal cocktail. And that was nothing special. The prices for pizza, pasta etc. exceed the prices of any good Italian restaurant. Unfortunately that was the last time we went there. For the prices I can get high-class cocktails elsewhere.

They didn't accept cards. They warned late.

Good, down-to-earth cuisine. Very attentive service! Update 11/24: two delicious pizzas, but with the knives we were given it will be quite physically demanding. A pizza knife would have been helpful. But still very nice and attentive service. We're going there again 😊

Very tasty food in a nice, quiet place on Hüxstrasse.

Chic furnishings and great ambience. Unfortunately, the food was rather less than satisfactory. Unfortunately, the waitresses both seemed very inexperienced. Bruschetta was served on pizza bread? Happy hour on Saturday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.? Strange concept in my opinion. Overall, the visit was unfortunately disappointing, especially given the price.

Very friendly service and very good dishes

The Ohana is quite inconspicuous from the street. But from the inside you will be greeted by an attractive ambience, dimmed light, complete with sofas...so men/women can spend a nice evening there.

We were here with our grandchildren to chat and eat. All 4 of us were very satisfied with the food, the staff and the ambience, we would like to come back.

Four of us were here for lunch and had pizza, burgers, Cesar salad and the children's meal with chicken schnitzel. The food was overall very good, delicious Cesar dressing, great schnitzel breading and French fries, nice pizza dough, tasty burger sauce. Super nice service. Keep it up.

The restaurant is beautifully designed both inside and outside. Also a large selection of food on the menu and even Halal. Unfortunately a bit on the more expensive side but nevertheless very tasty and quick to prepare. Also super lovely employees who gave lollies at the end haha. I can only recommend the restaurant.

Although I was traveling in Lübeck for a long time and lived in the city center, I never ate here. Which I totally regret🤭. Yesterday (8/31/24) I was here for the first time with my friend😀. When I entered the restaurant, I immediately had a WOW😮 on my lips. The furnishings are really nice😍, not that much and not that little either.. It all just fits together😘. Although there was a lot to do, we didn't have to wait long🤗. We each had a burger, which really tasted great. You could see that the meatballs were homemade😁👨‍🍳.(you don't have that often) We'll definitely come back❤️

Terribly high prices for cocktails. Sex on the Beach alone costs €14. When we wanted to leave and said why, one of the employees left, visibly annoyed and offended.

The place is magical, modern and elegant at the same time. The food was perfect in taste and texture. The hostess was polite and I can only recommend it especially for dates 🥰

We discovered Ohana by chance today and ate tagliatelle with beef and chanterelles...it tasted very good and the service was also very friendly...when we paid, we each got a lollipop 🍭 🍭...really Great...we'll be happy to come back the next time we visit Lübeck.

Burger to death - a black lump of meat with no juice, did the chef forget the burger? Very boring dressing - something you can buy at the store at a low price. Good fries. The waiter forgot about us even though there were few guests, had to go to the bar to get a glass of water. Nice serving area. Like Italian place…?? Nothing about the place is Italian…

A very nice location on Hüxstrasse with a beautiful courtyard. The food is very good, but could use a little more spice (schnitzel was completely unseasoned). Great cocktails, 7.50 euros each from six to eight o'clock. If the service was a little faster and didn't walk past you several times without asking or looking, it would have been five stars...

Rigtig lækkert mad, kunne dog se at flere folk ventede længe på deres mad, det var en lille form for utålmodighed, men da så maden kom kunne man se at folk var tilfredse med resultatet. Venlig betjening i helt rolige omgivelser.

Were there today, spontaneously for dinner. Super tasty steak, super tasty burger. The waitress noticed that our daughter (4) wanted our ice cubes. After the second order of her apple juice, she got a large glass so that 6 ice cubes could fit in it. She was as proud as Oscar. Conclusion: Food was great, service team attentive and very child-friendly and ambience fantastic, we conjured up a beautiful place out of the small niche. We will stop by again next time we visit Lübeck.

Discovered the Ohana by chance while strolling. We were absolutely thrilled. One star less for service due to the waiting time. But the ambience and, above all, the incredibly delicious food make up for everything.

The food was ok. But... Apparently we could only pay by cash or PayPal...? Which was only announced when we had to pay. One of us had to go out and look for an ATM in a town we had never been to, which took 15-20 minutes. Don't know if it was a glitch with the technology or if it's just a very outdated place, it wasn't clear. Frustrating.

Great location in the backyard of the "Hüx", friendly staff, but a very long wait for two salad plates and a burger, many who came after us had their food before us. No card payment possible and no indication of this either. Ladies toilet of questionable hygiene condition. A pity. Can you do more with it?

I regularly experience very attentive, friendly service here at the Ohana Bar, which makes my stay there very pleasant. The cuisine has a very good price-performance ratio, freshly tapped beer is perfectly served and refreshingly cold. When the weather is good and even when there is a light drizzle, it is very easy to stay under the large umbrella in the courtyard. In the interior, a generous glass roof brings a lot of light into the rooms during the day. The design of the interior and the wall surfaces create a pleasant atmosphere despite the spacious rooms very cozy atmosphere, even in times of low visitor numbers.

Beautiful, stylish restaurant idyllically located in the backyard. The menu is very diverse, from typically German to Italian, everything is there. Very large portions for normal money. Had dinner for the second time today and my parents were also thrilled 🤩

Nice and friendly staff, the burgers with "French fries" are very tasty at absolutely good prices. Cocktails were delicious. However, the number of operating staff could be increased if there are a large number of guests. Since we were a large group, we sat inside and it's a little dim in the back, but it's comfortable. Very happy again!

Beautiful and cozy atmosphere and delicious food

On December 2nd, 2017, I was a guest at Ohana with my girlfriend and a couple who were friends to have a cocktail at the jumbo hour. We were able to order quickly but were disappointed by the lack of drinks in the hour that followed. After 25 minutes we asked where our drinks were, whereupon the employee went to the counter to ask. He came straight back and said it would take 5-10 more minutes and offered to cancel, which we said no. Another 20 minutes later and with our mood slowly getting worse, a young lady approached us and asked if we were already being served. We reported our situation and these employees also disappeared to the counter. Only to run towards us again and right past us. after another 5 minutes we got up and put on our jackets. At that moment our drinks arrived. We ordered the bill straight away and drank our drinks. Not even a small discount was given to us. We paid the full price without a tip and left the restaurant. The second star is only justified by the great taste of my drink. My friend later reported that the trash cans in the toilet were overflowing with piles of trash left and right next to them. All in all a very disappointing visit! Edit: I have now reduced the second star mentioned to one star because people tried to doubt the authenticity of my post. Apparently you couldn't even be sure that I was even there. Also, the post was set to "Unposted", which I just reverted.

- Nettes Ambiente draußen - das Personal eher launisch auf die Gäste abgestimmt - der griechische Salat nicht außergewöhnlich - ein Rumpsteak nichteinmal einen cm dick , eher durch gebraten- enttäuschend. Es wurde um ein neues gebeten , dies mal genauso. Sehr enttäuschend . Da vergeht der Appetit . Kein Kommentar aus der Küche . Die servicekraft beschreibt es als „so bekommen wir es aus der Küche“ - die Happy Hour für die Cocktails ist dafür einladend

Good atmosphere, delicious food, nice waiters to make you feel at home!

Es war eigentlich ganz gut aber wir haben direkt Essen und Getränke bestellt nach 20 min kamen die dann auch okay.Essen kam noch mal 20 Minuten später und alles war gut,bis wir dann eine Nacktschnecke im Salat gefunden haben.Die Kellnerin ist dann in die Küche gegangen und hat neues Essen geholt.Geschmacklich war alles Sehr gut und war auch sehr gut gewürzt.Haben am Ende noch ne Mezzo mix bestellt die die Kellnerin direkt umgekippt hat.Naja war Auch ihr erster Tag.Die Atmosphäre war sehr gemütlich und die Ambiente 10/10.

Everything was really great. There were almost 20 of us registered and we had ala carte. Very friendly service, delicious food, good value for money. Lovely again.

Went here at lunchtime and were able to enjoy the food on the terrace in the sunshine. It was very tasty and sufficient, gladly again. Price performance fits 👌

I found the food really terrible, as well as the long wait. We didn't like the floury taste of the pizza at all, and as far as my personal taste goes, the burger was one of the worst I've ever had. I never want to make the mistake of ordering food here again.

Haben einen tollen Silvesterabend 🎆in der Ohana The Kitchen Bar verbracht, total leckere und professionelle Cocktails 🍸🍹🍸🍹und super Shots. Um Mitternacht gabs einen Prosecco aufs Haus. Die Bedienung sorgte für gute Stimmung mit einem eigenen Feuerwerk vor dem Haus und regte die Gäste zum Tannzen an. Schade, dass es das Lokal nicht in meiner Stadt gibt🫶😃

Tolles Restaurant mit einem tollen Ambiente

Ein "angesagter Ort" in dessen schönem Ambiente man sich echr wohl fühlt. Das Essen hat einen starken Convienience-Touch, der Service wirkt oft "etwas überfordert" und die Preisbildung der Speisen ist "für jemanden vom Fach" oft nur schwer nachvollziehbar.

Essen war mittelmäßig und hat lange gedauert. Service war nett

Joa, was soll ich sagen. Bin grad da, Preise sind übermäßig hoch. Cocktails sind nicht wirklich besonders oder gut. Bier ist schal. Ambiente ist sehr schön, das war’s. Gibt sich als edel Cocktailbar, Qualität fehlt aber. (Die 10-20€ bei einem Cocktail außerhalb der Happy Hour)

Wir sind zu siebt hier erschienen und haben Essen bestellt. Das Personal war sehr freundlich, jedoch hat es 1,5 Stunden gedauert, bis wir Essen das erhalten haben.

Mich persönlich hat das Ohana nicht umgehauen. Es ist Nett, die Pizza war nicht so toll, die Preise mittelmäßig.

Eingang war recht dunkel, man dachte das es geschlossen ist, aber andere gingen zum Glück rein und wir dann auch 👍

Im Ohana, das etwas versteckt im Hinterhof liegt, fühlt sich der Gast - auch noch kurz vor 22:00 Uhr - willkommen. Die Küche wird bei Bedarf noch einmal reaktiviert und es werden alle Speisen und/oder Snacks von der Karte angeboten; Getränke natürlich auch!! Das Ambiente der Räumlichkeit ist Lounge-Stil und damit sehr einladend sowie bequem zum Sitzen. In der wärmeren Jahreszeit lädt der Innenhof zum Verweilen ein und schützt mit großen Schirmen vor dem nordischen Wetterkapriolen. Auch wenn es so langsam auf 24:00 Uhr zugeht, wird der Gast nicht 'höflich' zum Nachhauseweg genötigt. Das Service-Personal ist äußerst höflich. Wir als Gäste fühlen uns als Gäste willkommen und es ist immer wieder schön, unseren Stammtisch dort gemütlich abhalten zu können.

War ein toller Abend! Das Personal ( Leon und Holger) war super freundlich und die Cocktails und Kurzen waren mega lecker!

Sehr aufmerksame und freundliche Bedienung, das Essen (Spaghetti bolognese) war sehr lecker. Die Cocktails ebenso.

Die Einrichtung ist etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig. Es wurden hier schöne aber auch weniger geschmackvolle Dinge auf Biegen und Brechen zusammengewürgt, was nicht unbedingt einer gelungenen Einrichtung zuträglich sind. Wenn man nicht genau hinsieht, ist es aber zumindest in einem Teil der Räumlichkeiten stimmungsvoll und gemütlich. Ich habe zweimal die Pizza getestet. Die ist gut, der Belag aber leider nur rudimentär vorhanden.

Wir werden uns ein anderes Lokal suchen. Kurz nach 12 Uhr waren die Sitzgelegenheiten/Tische vom Vorabend nicht gereinigt. Gründe sind mir egal, sauber sollte es sein. Servicekraft war auch überrascht, pflichtete uns bei-unternahm aber nichts. Essen war O.K.

Früher sind wir ins Ohana gegangen, um leckeres Curry, tolle Cocktails und eine entspannte Atmosphäre zu genießen. Die Cocktails sind noch immer lecker, aber die Speisekarte hat sich nach dem Betreiberwechsel sehr verändert - die bisher probierten Sachen schmecken zwar auch, aber insgesamt ist die Karte (gerade für alte Ohana-Freunde) einfach nichts Besonderes mehr. Bei zwei unserer drei Besuche in den letzten Monaten war die Musik außerdem eher auf Club-Lautstärke, das fanden wir fürs Essen mit Freunden sehr anstrengend. Insgesamt ist der Laden weiterhin völlig in Ordnung und wir werden auch wiederkommen, aber wenn man vorm Betreiberwechsel viel hier war, wird man mit Erwartungen herkommen, die nicht mehr zum aktuellen Laden passen. Wir haben auch vom Personal erfahren, dass diese Veränderung wohl öfter von Gästen angesprochen wird. Seltsam, dass der Name beibehalten wurde.

War gut, weiterzuempfehlen fällt nicht schwer,

Hier gibt es super leckeres italienisches Essen! Die Lasagne, Pizza und Pasta, findet man sonst so, nur in Italien! Jede einzelne Zutat ist zu schmecken und das Essen kommt heiß an den Tisch. Die Cocktails sind geschmacklich sehr gut und werden mit frischen Früchten präsentiert. Da die Cocktails in der Happy Hour von 17-21 Uhr nur 7,50€ kosten, schmecken sie dann gleich noch viel besser ;-) Sonst sind sie leider sehr teuer. Der Service war sehr aufmerksam und freundlich. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder!

A nice little pseudo-italian restaurant in a small courtyard playing relaxing music. The food is pretty basic, but the portion sizes are large (if that matters). Ultimately more of a drinking hang-out than a gourmet experience.

Ich war gestern Abend mit meiner Partnerin bei ihnen und es war einfach fantastisch. Essen hervorragend, sehr freundliche Bedienung, keine langen Wartezeiten, super leckere und schöne Getränke und ein sehr schönes Ambiente. Sollte man in Lübeck wohnen bzw dort zu Besuch sein, ist ein Besuch im Ohana Pflicht!

Nach nun fast 6 Jahren die wir monatlich hier sind haben wir zwei Inhaber erlebt und so einiges an Personal. Es ist weiterhin unsere Lieblingslocation in Lübeck. Preise sind fair und das Essen hervorragend. Bei Problemen wird schnell und unkompliziert geholfen.

Wir waren zwei Mal dort und beide Male sehr zufrieden. Das Essen ist gut aber die Cocktails und die Getränkeauswahl sind wirklich sehr gut. Am besten ist aber der Service! Zuvorkommend und sehr nett.

Sehe schickes Restaurant/Bar. Der Service war sehr freundlich und immer greifbar. Das Essen war lecker obgleich mir die Pizza zu lange im Ofen war (daher da nur 4 Sterne). Mag eine subjektive Meinung sein aber ich mag einen dünnen Boden, der nicht zu fest ist. Die Preise sind angemessen und man wird auch satt.

Das Ohana ist ein modernes Restaurant und sehr ruhig gelegen. Preislich ist es ok. Der Service war sehr freundlich und das Essen hat geschmeckt. Ich hätte mir lediglich auf meinem Veggie-Burger auch die Avocadosoße gewünscht, die in der Karte stand und nicht zwei Lagen Mayo.
