Unfortunately, our brunch experience there was very disappointing. Despite repeated requests, the hot food wasn't replenished, and the staff responded very rudely. We weren't able to use the entire buffet during our visit, which I find outrageous considering the price.

That was by far the worst tarte flambée imaginable. Instead of a thin dough, they used stale bread, about as thick as a ciabatta. There was hardly any topping, and my colleague's cheeseburger had gristle in it, and the meat was of the lowest quality. And to charge €14.20 for that tarte flambée is outrageous.

My husband and I were there today, and I have to say, I was disappointed this time. The ambiance was okay, but extremely loud; it was almost impossible to have a conversation. Almost all the staff were nice and accommodating, but unfortunately, one woman was rather unfriendly, which dampened the mood a bit. The food was good, but the BBQ burger was missing bacon—there was so little of it that it was practically unnoticeable. The cocktails and mocktails need some work. The Caipirinha tasted only of alcohol; the rest of the drinks were completely overpowering, and the price was outrageous. I think the "Safer Sex on the Beach" was completely pre-made, because it was incredibly sweet, as if they'd just poured syrup on it, and the price was outrageous for that. But the lady at the bar added some water, which at least made it drinkable. ... And I hope that the tip that one lady received, which she was supposed to give to another lady, actually reached the lady with the braided hair, because she and the waiter who served us did a really good job. They were both very kind and friendly.

My little one loved everything and especially enjoyed the clock. The staff? I've never experienced anything like it. Absolutely top-notch, and they even included our little one in everything. We went there for breakfast brunch. The scrambled egg options were just plain scrambled eggs, and the salad selection was also limited. All in all, a very standard breakfast, the kind you'd find in any decent hotel. Having to pay extra for coffee and juice at breakfast is, in my opinion, outrageous. All in all, too expensive for what was offered. We've had better breakfasts for less money.

First, the positives: The ambiance was okay, and the staff were attentive and friendly. However: The size and quality of the schnitzel, ordered as part of a meal deal (not a schnitzel holiday), is unfortunately a joke. Typical frozen product and not worth the money. The burger size is okay, but the patty is frozen and of below-average quality. A thick, chewy mass, no discernible meat texture, and the taste is more like "fast food." The BBQ burger didn't deliver any BBQ experience. A meager strip of bacon, and the BBQ sauce was lost in way too much arugula. The pinsa gets smaller every year. I initially thought I'd been served half a portion. Thick crust, meant to be filling. The topping was okay, but nothing special. The fries were unsalted, tasteless, and not crispy. It was definitely better years ago, but this visit won't be bringing us back.

With an all-you-can-eat meal for €20, you don't get a premium schnitzel, but it was still delicious. The service was consistently friendly and funny. It was really fun, thanks for a lovely evening.

It's difficult to give a fair review. My friends and I have been meeting at Café del Sol Lübeck every 4-6 weeks for years. We've experienced everything from "VIP service" to 2-hour waits. The staff is ALWAYS friendly. The food is good, and so far, all our special requests have been accommodated. Depending on the time of year, it can be quite noisy, and we're always happy when it gets a bit quieter in the last two hours. The women's restrooms are practically unusable after 10 p.m. They're dirty, and there's hardly any toilet paper left. However, I also believe that if you use someone else's restroom, you should leave it as you would like to find it at home!

Very friendly service staff, but the atmosphere isn't cozy. It's nice, but it's terribly loud; you can barely hold a conversation. It's not the music, but the acoustics of the room. It's like a train station concourse. The food is so-so. We tried the Schnitzelurlaub (Steak Holiday) and 2 out of 4 received lukewarm dishes. They chose the Hawaiian version, which wasn't so tasty when the melted cheese was then brought to the table, clinging to the meat like a cold shoe sole. The other versions were served at a decent temperature, but the number of fries on the side was too small, and they weren't hot or crispy. Yes, you can reorder, but the waiters are so busy and it's so loud, you can't get attention and have to go to the counter yourself (where you get friendly help, though). I wouldn't recommend the restaurant, but that's not the fault of the staff, but rather the uncomfortable atmosphere and the unexceptional food.

I was there on Saturday from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. It was very loud, making conversation difficult. It was also very dark. The menu was difficult to read. I found it very cold there, so I warmed myself up in the car on the way home with the heating turned up full. The staff were very friendly and attentive. My burger was delicious.

Very large store! It's a chain, and the food is mostly convenience food, but it tastes pretty good. The drinks selection is huge, so there's something for everyone. Suitable for spontaneous meetings, an easily accessible location, and large groups.

An absolutely fantastic experience at Café Dr. Sol in Lübeck! The atmosphere is cozy, the coffee excellent – ​​but what really made our visit special was Luca! He was by far the best waiter you could wish for. Friendly, attentive, and simply passionate about his work. Hi, I was there on August 29th at around 10:10 PM. Unfortunately, this time I was "welcomed" in a very strange and disrespectful manner. The employee there told my colleagues and me right at the beginning that we should accept the greeting upon entering the restaurant, which we naturally did and greeted back as is proper. When I responded to this, the employee suggested that this wasn't true, and the third and final time I accepted the greeting and greeted back, she didn't believe it, so I left the restaurant because of this rude behavior towards my friends and myself. As a Lübeck resident, I have very much enjoyed visiting this restaurant many times and have always treated everyone with respect, as is natural, as I come from the restaurant industry myself. However, I don't think it's good for a business to be greeted with such an unpleasant attitude as soon as I enter the restaurant. I hope these employees take my feedback to heart and improve. Hello, hello...let's start with the search for a parking space...you'll always find one here, as there are plenty of parking spaces directly at Cafe Del Sol...and if all the spots are taken, don't panic, because there are plenty more available next door on the Lidl premises. After entering, we were shown a table upon request, where we chose something nice from the extensive drinks menu. It didn't take long for us to get our orders. Now we sat there and had a pleasant chat. In between, the attentive, but not intrusive, waitress repeatedly asked us if we were satisfied and if we needed anything else. I can't say much about the food, as we only had a few drinks, except that what was brought to the neighboring tables looked good, and from what I saw, it probably tasted good too. Let's talk about smoking...that's not a problem either; not in the cafe itself, but you can always smoke outside or on the terrace. The restrooms can be used in between. I'd also love to visit them...they're clean, and you don't have to be afraid to use them. My conclusion: We felt very comfortable here in a nicely decorated cafe and will come back again and again to treat ourselves to a break from everyday life.

We visited Café Del Sol today and had an all-around fantastic visit. We'd especially like to mention our waitress, Amalia, who was friendly and accommodating – we immediately felt at home. We had the Schnitzel Del Sol and the Mushroom Schnitzel – both were truly delicious! The food arrived very hot and fresh, the sauces and dips were excellent, and the schnitzels were juicy and not at all dry. The fries were also perfect – crispy but not overly seasoned. Kudos to the kitchen! All in all, a thoroughly enjoyable visit – we'd love to come back!

Although it's often busy, she keeps an eye on everything, exudes calm, and creates an atmosphere where you immediately feel welcome. And the best part: The entire team is on board! Everyone is friendly, responsive, and super on the ball – a true dream team. Whether it's for a quick coffee, a leisurely breakfast, or simply a break from everyday life – Café Del Sol is our absolute feel-good spot in Lübeck. Four women and I came to your place for breakfast on Saturday, July 19, 2025. I have to say, from the welcome, to the free space on your gorgeous outdoor terrace, to your incredibly friendly waitresses, to the truly sumptuous breakfast (if you think that's a little cheesy, it's your own fault), it was so relaxing and pleasant for us to sit with you, chat, and even laugh with your staff. A thoroughly enjoyable morning – and we actually stayed with you until after 2 p.m. (from 9 a.m.) *laughs*. This was definitely not the last time, thank you very much!

Unfortunately, the purple-haired, overweight waitress wasn't able to push two tables together, so we had to do it ourselves. Multiplying wasn't her strong suit either. Luckily, the food made up for everything :)

I recently visited Café del Sol in Lübeck with my wife on a warm summer evening and would like to share my impressions here. Location and Ambience Café del Sol is located at Stockelsdorfer Straße 1, conveniently located directly off the A1 motorway and in the immediate vicinity of two main roads. Visually, the light-filled colonial-style villa is reminiscent of a Spanish hacienda: colorful tiles, wooden details, and tropical plants immediately create a holiday atmosphere. We sat on the covered and heated veranda, which accommodates up to 180 guests in the summer. While it overlooks the neighboring Lidl parking lot and the fire department access road, this is precisely where the potential for optimization lies: A row of bamboo or decorative privacy screens would draw the view into the greenery and make the Caribbean flair even more authentic. Accessibility and Parking The entrance is step-free and wheelchair-accessible, as well as suitable for strollers. Plenty of free parking is available right outside the door – for cars, motorcycles, and bicycles. Several Tesla charging stations have been newly installed, allowing electric car drivers to conveniently combine their charging break with a drink or snack. Food and Service The menu, available from 9 a.m. to midnight, offers a concentrated holiday feeling: crisp salads, hearty burgers, and creative side dishes. This evening, we chose a mixed salad, a BBQ burger, and the very popular avocado fries. Everything was freshly prepared, well-seasoned, and visually appealing – even if the burger patty was pre-made, it's one of the better examples of its kind. The service team was attentive and friendly at all times, without being intrusive. Prices and Conclusion The prices are reasonable, allowing you to relax and enjoy your meal without having to worry about your wallet. I give the ambiance and location 3.5 out of 5 stars, and the quality and service even 4 out of 5 stars. Overall, a successful evening – we'd be happy to come back.

Stopped to charge the Tesla, so we went to Cafe Del Sol 😊 Super atmosphere, cozy place and friendly service, with delicious dishes for every taste 😊 We ate ice cream, drank coffee and got to charge both ourselves and the car battery 😊

A visit to Café del Sol is always worthwhile! The team is one of the reasons: dedicated, super-friendly, and always service-oriented. Compliments! Plenty of parking makes getting there completely hassle-free – even at busy times – and the ambiance is high-quality and inviting. The food is more than okay – although economic necessity is also noticeable here, meaning that some portions have become significantly smaller, while prices have remained the same or increased. That's not a bad thing per se; the restaurant industry hasn't had it easy in recent years. Nevertheless, it's noticeable... In my opinion, this impression doesn't diminish the recommendation to visit at all. So – go there 😉

Nice atmosphere from the start, welcoming also to our dog. We ordered food and drinks and it came pretty quickly. Deliciously prepared and everything tasted great. There were 4 of us, got Greek salad, schnitzel and burgers etc. All the while the car (also) was fully charged. Highly recommend the place!

The food is okay. Pushy requests for tips when paying by card. Poor hygiene. Dirt, dust, and cobwebs accompany the meal. There's room for improvement here. Update June 16, 2025: Dirt and dust removed, and everything clean. Unfortunately, the hidden request for tips is still there at the card terminal.

It would actually be nice to sit outside, but the smoke is annoying there, as so many guests smoke. I generally find the digital ordering system at the tables practical, but it doesn't always work reliably – for example, the signal that you want to pay is often missed by the service staff. It would also be nice to have more options when ordering, such as changing the bun on a burger.

It would be great for some soundproofing, which is available for walls and ceilings, as it gets very loud when there's more activity, music, and social gatherings. THAT would, of course, be a very cozy highlight if the hall's acoustics were somewhat dampened. Otherwise, I'd be happy to come again...😃 Everyone was very pleasant and friendly. Delicious food...

We went there for breakfast with several people during the week and ordered from the menu. We had breakfast for two people, and it was plentiful. Everything was there: salmon, cold cuts, salad, ground beef, egg, etc. It tasted great and was beautifully presented. The service staff was friendly and attentive. It was good value for money.

I thought the food and service were really good. It's a shame that it's so incredibly loud and difficult to understand the person speaking to. Therefore, only 3 stars for the ambiance.

We were here last night. We had teriyaki ribs and schnitzel del sol (turkey), both with fries. My ribs were cooked well. The meat came off the bone easily. The schnitzel was very good and flavorful. The fries themselves were freshly prepared. However, I personally found them too dry. (A matter of taste.) A quick tip for the ribs: If you serve the ribs, briefly place them on the grill/pan so they get some color and roasted flavor. It definitely makes the whole dish even better.

Everything is priced in the high range. The restaurant itself is quite nice, but it's too loud to have a conversation. By the way, everyone thought so. The restaurant manager is a bit brash and looks for faults in the customer. There is a bit of a lack of structure and specialist staff here.

On a trip to Lübeck, I noticed this restaurant as I was driving past, then I remembered my visit to Cafe Del Sol in Bremen-Obervieland in 2014. Since I liked the food and liked the colonial style, I later took a closer look online at the Lübeck location. First, I discovered that Cafe Del Sol was a chain with locations from Flensburg to Bayreuth. Then, hoping for burgers, I looked at the menu at the Lübeck location and found a burger category; I settled on the "BBQ Bacon Burger" (beef patty, bacon strips, BBQ sauce, red onions, arugula, tomato, cucumber, burger sauce and brioche bun) with fries and mayonnaise and a sugar-free Sinalco Cola. In addition to burgers, the menu included, among other things: Breakfast offerings, sandwiches, pinsas and meat dishes. The "Southern Steak" that I ate in Bremen in 2014 was no longer offered. When I arrived on a summer afternoon, the restaurant was busy both indoors and outdoors, but since there were a lot of seats, there was still plenty available. I found a table indoors overlooking the covered patio; this sight reactivated memories of the Cafe Del Sol in Bremen. A pretty waitress took my order, I ordered the burger with extra cheese. I received my drink promptly and my food followed about 10 minutes later. The burger was made with a soft brioche bun and a well-seasoned patty; During the first few bites, my impression was that the BBQ sauce, tomato slice and cucumber slices were too dominant in relation to the bacon, but after eating the tomato slice and cucumber slices, the taste experience improved. A good burger, I would have just liked it to be a little more American style. The fries were crispy and very tasty with the mayonnaise. After dinner I treated myself to an espresso. I paid my pretty waitress €25.90 plus a 10% tip via debit card. I can only recommend Cafe Del Sol in Lübeck. It can be reached both via Stockeldorfer Straße and from the other side from Krempelsdorfer Allee via the Lidl car park.
