Staff today with 0 motivation from ordering to service at the table. The main courses went out without being finalized, fries were cold. Desserts without cutlery. Sure, it depends on the date, this, but in the catering industry everything depends on the service. Too bad. I know the place completely differently.

Ottima cena di pesce. Vino Riesling davvero gustoso. Il servizio è un po’ da rivedere ma l’idea del locale enoteca/ristorante di pesce è molto interessante.

The Oechsle was recommended to us by our hotel as a very good fish restaurant. That was exactly true. You ordered and paid at the cash register, looked for a table and then the food and drinks you ordered were brought to you. The fish platter we ordered for two was excellent. The fish was fresh and very well prepared. The quantity was completely sufficient. If you don't necessarily care about great service, but want good products, you're in good hands here.

The oysters are very fresh, the mussels are excellent, better than what I had in France, and the salmon soup is even more surprising, worth eating.

Ich war mit Freunden zu viert im Oechsle. Der Service an der Kasse war schon bei der Bestellung so unverschämt arrogant und pampig, das es mir vor meinen Freunden extrem unangenehm war, im Oechsle überhaupt gebucht zu haben. Meine Freundin von auswärts fragte an der Kasse, ob sie das Getränketablett mit nach oben nehmen solle. Antwort sehr unfreundlich: Ja wer denn sonst. Bei den Muschel fehlte der Sud. Kommentar: ja da hat die Küche das wohl vergessen. Auf meine Bitte, dass der Sud doch jetzt noch gebracht werden soll, kam die pampige Antwort: das dauert aber jetzt, der muss erst aufgewärmt werden. Noch andere Fehlleistungen zu schildern würden den Rahmen sprengen. Die Qualität der Speisen war gut. Wir waren übrigens am Samstag Abend die einzigen Gäste oben, das war vor einiger Zeit noch anders, nach meinem Erlebnis wundert mich das nicht mehr. Sehr schade

A bit unusual that you have to order and pay at the counter. I'm a regular at Fischhaus and every time I find an experience (mainly for my taste buds.) No matter whether you eat a fish platter for two, tuna, sea bream or mussels, everything is perfectly prepared, cooked and served. There are a variety of starters that give you a taste of what you can expect. Traditional fish soups are served at any time of the year. The kitchen also offers seasonal dishes that may not be typical of a fish house, but still taste unique with a seafood twist. To enjoy the meal, you shouldn't forget the wine, which you can choose freely. Perfectly arranged and regional wines are available on the first floor of the fish house; you can watch the preview there at any time and enjoy wine tastings.

Fish top. Self-service is not my thing. Otherwise everything is fine

I like to buy wine there...there is an online wine list from large wineries in the region...you have to know that and ask the staff directly about the online wines, otherwise you would only be able to buy the wines on the table.. .PS. The food that goes to the tables always looks very good...

Mixed fish platter for 2 people, first salad with goat cheese and a glass of Brut sparkling wine, the sparkling wine was very good, but the food, from the salad with goat cheese to the French fries, the vegetables and the fish, was great, everything was on point Vegetables very tender with garlic in olive oil, 5 different fish very well prepared, praise to the kitchen, the wines with the meal were good as usual, service was also good, communication at the checkout could be a little more attentive, ambience was good as always, broken lamps flickered annoyingly

The restaurant, staff, ambience and food (Zander & Dorado including side dishes) were extremely tasty and extremely freshly prepared. Happy to visit again.

Ein Restaurant das ich fast monatlich besuche mit Freunden oder meinen Kinder. Gestern war ich mit einer Freundin dort, Fisch and Chips und Miesmuscheln, Weißburgunder 200ml, 1 Liter Mineralwasser, die Dame an der Kasse war so unfreundlich und arrogant, das ist mir jetzt schon mehrfach passiert bei dieser Person, deshalb habe ich heute beschlossen das s es zu kommentieren. Leider werde ich in Zukunft nicht mehr dort hingehen. Schade!

The normal offer was good. But the pre-ordered lobster meal was a disaster. The price of 35 euros should have given me pause. At the latest when the cutlery is handed out, no pliers, no lobster tools. Apart from the fact that it was a mini-mini specimen (never seen it before), the small piece of meat was so tough, cold and rubbery. When the waitress asked me if it was tasty and I wanted to tell her my dissatisfaction, she simply walked away without comment. Dear Oechsle team, please buy better products. Real lobster lovers know the prices and are willing to pay them. Kind regards

We were there for the big wine tasting, 120 wines to choose from. Florian gave us very good advice and missing wines were refilled immediately. An Eldorado for wine lovers. We can recommend it without reservation.

It's actually quite nice there! Been there with friends and very satisfied. Last time it wasn't so good! The sparkling wine was stale, after a complaint there was a replacement which was good

Were here for lunch. You order and pay for your food at the counter and then it is brought to you. The oysters were very fresh and delicious as was the sea bass fillet with pesto pasta and grilled peppers. I would eat both again.

The fish dishes are top notch, the trilogy is my favorite dish. Very nice staff. The kitchen is also open throughout. Don't worry if you're late. I've been visiting this restaurant for years and it's always delicious 😋👍.

Kulinarische Katastrophe! Altes Brot gereicht, aber das war noch nichts im Gegensatz zu dem was danach kam. Auster war schlecht, zum Glück ausgespuckt. Igitt! Rotbarsch mit Tomatenreis in Tomatenmarkpüree ertränkt. Reis so oft aufgewärmt, dass schon schwarz angesetzt. Hatten die Hoffnung, dass bei den letzten Besuchen die Schwächen nur Ausreißer, leider gilt hier das Motto schlimmer geht immer.

Beautiful brewery and organic beers. you don't see that much in Germany. Too bad the Eisbock and Rumbarrel weren't there. Last year's stock was gone. Reason to go again!)

We were here at lunchtime. The food was very tasty and the house wine went perfectly with it. We just couldn't get used to the service concept. First wait in a queue along the fish counter, then quickly order drinks (drinks menu is stuck on the counter), make your choice of food, pay, take a tray of drinks with you, look for a free table, wait for food! The waiter brings food, murmurs something like “Enjoy your meal” and disappears. We would have liked to drink something more, but we had to get back in the queue 😩 How do the service staff want to earn their tips when they hardly have any contact with customers?

Nice restaurant with wine sales. You order in the restaurant and you pay immediately, the food is then brought to the table when it is ready. It's pretty hidden.

We were thrilled, first we treated ourselves to delicious fish at the counter for the evening at the campsite, and the next day we had a great meal there for lunch. Two days later, the four of us had an excellent wine tasting followed by a fish dinner on the terrace. The service here is great and the staff is extremely friendly. We can fully recommend this location.

A great restaurant with fresh food and large portions. The operating concept is individual. The wine and drink selection is large enough. Usually the restaurant is very busy and there is a wait to get a table. On our last visit it was surprisingly empty. One or two waitresses have their own charm, but overall everyone is very nice and attentive.

The concept is great, the food is good, as are the wines and the price/performance ratio is also good.

OK for a short stop. Although we were seen by the service, it was only after 10 minutes that we were told - from the next table - that you had to go in yourself to order. Which is perfectly fine, but the service could have pointed it out to us.

We were passing through and found this cozy restaurant in the center. The fish soup and fish ragout tasted wonderful and the Moselle wine was excellent. As fish lovers from Provence, we were totally thrilled! The service was also very friendly and the waiting time was short. We'll definitely come back next time we're in the area!

We booked the big Moselle wine tasting. Included in the price was a €10 voucher. The wine selection was good. Here's something for every taste. The people were nice and if you wanted to try a wine that was empty, a replacement was quickly provided. Very pleasant atmosphere and not overcrowded. We only tasted wine and didn't eat anything, so I can't say anything about the restaurant.

Simply recommended. Great food. Great service. Be sure to book the big wine tasting after your meal. There are over 100 wines to choose from.

The pollack that was offered at the Trödelkiez was amazing! Simply delicious in combination with potato salad and remoulade. I hope that you can be found more often at events 😊

We have been coming to the Oechsle for many years and have always been thrilled. Unfortunately, we noticed the last two times that the quality - especially of the fish soup - had deteriorated significantly despite a significant price adjustment. It is no longer creamy and no longer has the great taste of Provencal herbs. The fish and chips were very dry (perhaps a little more dip?), but the salad was as good as always. We won't be eating there with family and friends anymore, it's a shame...

So we were there for the first time on Sunday, I was really looking forward to fish... At the beginning, an unfriendly waitress with long black hair explained to us how it works for them. You go in and order your food, you have to carry your drinks outside yourself and please put the number directly on the edge of the table, that's it the other waiter sees where he has to bring your food... Inside, the two behind the counter were very friendly. Ordered food, food came quite quickly...And then we thought, we weren't seeing properly...I had two small bites of cod fillet (when put together, it was the size of a 5 euro bill) and a handful of salad, that was it...price It was around 20 euros. The fish appetizer was good, you could eat salad, and there was also a dip that was also good. So, all in all, we won't eat there anymore. If asked, we won't recommend it. And we certainly won't eat there if we're hungry. Afterwards we ate a bratwurst on the main market. ..

I love the fish soup, but the other fish dishes are also very tasty. They offer a wide selection of local wines.

Very good food. We had the fish platter for 2 and it was pure enjoyment. If you want good fish you should go there. There is a very large selection there for wine lovers. We'd love to come back when we're in Trier again 👍

Teurer Selbstbedienungsladen mit Schwächen 🙈 und viel Luft nach oben! Ambiente, Dekor = Kantine mit lauter Geräuschkulisse. Auf der 1. Etage sorgte der bärtige Arbeiter aus der Vinothek dafür die Kunden zu nerven! Furchtbarer, rücksichtsloser Schreihals! Warteschlange an der Bestell-Theke. Austern mit "vinaigrette"?! = Austern frisch und ordentlich serviert, aber die sogenannte "vinaigrette" war eher als Salatdressing zu verwerten!!! Kartoffelpuffer mit Räucherlachs und Salat = tiptop 😋 Edelfischtrilogie = Fisch tot gebraten und versalzen 🙉 (ist der Koch/die Köchin verliebt?!). Winzersekt und Wein = gut 🥂 Service unbeständig, war aber heute freundlich, Brot&Butter gabs auch!! (man bestellt und bezahlt an der Theke, trägt das Plateau mit den Getränken in Eigenregie zum Tisch, aber aus der Küche wird man "beliefert"). Preis/Leistungsverhältnis = schlecht! Lunch/Mittagstisch für 2 knapp über 70 Euro! (Ohne Dessert, mit nur einem Vorgericht, ohne teure Getränke ...) 💸

Restaurant en ville choisi suite à des commentaires sur le net. Plutôt orienté poissons. Il faut commander son menu , payer , prendre sa boisson à table, et on vous apporte ensuite votre plat. Malgré la barrière de la langue, française, ils ont réussi à trouver un employé qui parlait un peu le français et a pris du temps pour nous expliquer le concept et les plats. Heureusement que nous sommes arrivés tôt car le restaurant s'est vite rempli. Originalité, ils font poissonnerie en même temps. Du coup , on sent la fraicheur des produits dans les plats ainsi que le respect des cuissons lors de l'arrivée de l'assiette.

We really liked this cozy restaurant with (almost) self-service. We sat down at a free table, chose a white wine from the menu, which we then ordered and paid for at the counter and then took it to our table. It was perfectly chilled and tasted delicious. The fish products in the refrigerated counter look fresh and appetizing. The food is served to the table. What we want to try next time.

Ich freue mich jedes mal,wenn ich nach Trier komme,auf 's Essen bei Oechsle. Egal,ob man von der Speisekarte bestellt, oder sich etwas aus der Frischetheke aussucht und zubereiten lässt, es schmeckt immer unglaublich gut. Dazu kommt eine tolle Weinvielfalt hiesiger Winzer. Ich liebe den Elbling.Auch das Konzept des Bestellens an der Theke finde ich gut,dadurch kommt man schnell zu seinem Essen.

Miesmuscheln, dazu einen Riesling. Sehr lecker. Die Markthallen-Atmosphäre muss man mögen (ich tu es!). Freundliche Bedienung. Fachliche Beratung beim anschließenden Weinkauf.

Wijnproeverij gegeven door een bijzonder kundige vinoloog. Interessante verhalen bij smakelijke wijnen. Er werd ook prima rekening gehouden met onze smaak. Heel leuke middag gehad, aanrader.

Das Essen war hervorragend. Die Fischsuppe war reichhaltig, ebenso die Muscheln. Alles wird frisch zubereitet. Wir waren mit 6 Personen dort und alle Gerichte waren frisch. Leider keine Bedienung am Tisch, deshalb hier nicht so viele Sterne. Das Preis Leistungsverhältnis beim Fisch stimmt. Werde auf jeden Fall wieder hingehen.

Je moet het eten en deank zelf aan de bar bestellen waarna het aan tafel gebracht wordt. Vissoep is goed gevuld maar niet vol van smaak. Heerlijke garnalencocktail. Kleine porties. Gigantisch wijnassortiment.

Sehr leckerer und frischer Fisch. Das Ambiente überzeugt und die Bedienung ist auf zack. Auch der erste Stock, in dem sich die Weinhandlung befindet ist sehenswert. An die halbe Selbstbedienung muss man sich gewöhnen doch sie haben einen guten Plan gegen den Personalmangel. Gerne wieder.

Ich bin sehr oft Gast im Oechsle.Bisher hatte ich (wir) nie irgend etwas zu beanstanden.Am vergangenen Sonntag lief wohl einiges im Oechsle schief.Warum auch immer? 4 Personen waren wir.Als 1.wurde ein Gericht an den Tisch serviert welches wir nicht bestellten.Leider konnten wir auch nicht gleichzeitig essen,da unser Essen im ca.15 minutentakt serviert wurde.Dann wurden 2X pommes dazu gereicht welche 1. Unansehnlich 2.Aufgewärmt 3.Ungeniessbar waren Unsere Reklamation wurde nicht angenommen.Wir bekamen als Antwort .Das muss so sein.SCHADE So hält man KEINE Gäste.

Verrassend restaurant in een steegje achter een van de hoofdstraten in het centrum. Eigenlijk een viswinkel dat ook gerechten maakt, en niet alleen dat gefrituurde vis , maar echt mooie gerechten en supervers. Mooie formule, je gaat zelf naar de kassa om jouw eten te bestellen en meteen betalen, drank neem je zelf mee naar de tafel, eten brengen ze. Top.

Eigentlich fast Selbstbedienung. Das macht aber gar nichts. Der Wein ist lecker, das Personal sehr nett und geht auf kleine Extrawünsche problemlos ein.

Ein Frischfischgeschäft mit angeschlossenem Fischrestaurant. Außerdem gibt es im Öchsle eine Vinothek mit einer riesigen Auswahl der besten regionalen Weine. Im Restaurant, das sich im Erdgeschoss befindet, werden verschiedene Fischgerichte frisch zubereitet. Es gibt eine "Teilbedienung": Man bestellt an der Theke und das Fischgericht wird wenig später zum Tisch gebracht. Wir essen seit Jahren im Monat mindestens 3-4 mal dort und wurden bislang noch nie enttäuscht, zumal auch das Servicepersonal stets sehr freundlich ist. Es handelt sich ohne Zweifel um das beste Fischrestaurant der Region.

Wir sind durch Zufall in dieses Lokal gekommen. Was ein Glück. Das Konzept das Ambiente und das Personal einfach top. Zum Essen, frischer Fisch, frische Beilagen und das alles zum akzeptablen preis, für Trier einfach eine Bereicherung schade das wir das Lokal erst am letzten Tag unserer Trier Reise gefunden haben, hätten uns die schlimme haxe vom vor Tag gerne geschenkt. Allso Ende der Geschichte wir sehen uns wieder und die Empfehlung kommt konsequent. Macht weiter so ihr seid top.
