Odenwälder Gut Stubb in Michelstadt

On a motorcycle tour 🏍️, we made a quick stop in Michelstadt and found this cozy restaurant with great service 🙂 The food is decent, and the homemade fried potatoes are simply phenomenal!!! You don't find something like this often 🥔

I tried the pork loin with fries and mushroom cream sauce and was very satisfied. The meat was tender, the portion was generous, and the sauce complemented it perfectly. Along with the crispy fries, it was a truly delicious meal. The service was friendly and attentive—all in all, a successful evening.

If you like good, home-style cooking, this is the place for you! No frills or other completely unnecessary fuss. It feels like Grandma cooked for the whole family on Sunday, and everyone sits comfortably together. Thanks to the manager for the tip for the "nightcap." If we're ever in the area again, "Gut Stubb" will be our first choice. 😊

Beautiful rustic restaurant with great food.

Unfortunately, by far the most unfriendly and worst service I have ever experienced.

My wife and I stumbled upon "Gut Stubb" by pure chance during our vacation in the Odenwald region. Frankly, this gem of a restaurant with exemplary and exceptionally good cuisine more than deserves this rating. Please keep up the good work!

Food and beer good friendly service

Went to eat schnitzel with asparagus today!! We have to say that if you don't eat there, it's your own fault, it couldn't be better!!!!

We can only report positive things. Schnitzel with asparagus and the rump steak were great 👍🏻. Great service staff, friendly and attentive, just as it should be.

Still a tip for me in Michelstadt when it comes to authentic food. On weekends, a table reservation is essential as the restaurant only has a limited number of seats. In summer you can also sit outside, but it is definitely more comfortable in the "Gut Stubb".

Great food, great service, great value for money

We were very pleased to have visited this restaurant. I ate a vegetarian tarte flambée with vegetables, cheese and sour cream with a sourdough base, fantastic in appearance and taste. My husband had lumberjack steak, fried potatoes and a salad plate. We were very Satisfied, unfortunately we couldn't eat everything, even though it tasted very good. The restaurant is recommended, the service is also very attentive and the boss treats her employees very nicely.

Ambiance and service were very good 5 stars. Unfortunately, the food wasn't that great and absolutely not seasoned. The pork meat was undercooked and barely seasoned and actually only had the taste of sauce. The farmer's toast also here, the meat was hardly seasoned or not at all and had no taste at all.

The food was very tasty and the service was also great...but unfortunately the chef was very rude, he was probably stressful but the customer shouldn't get that! That's why it was the last time I was there... I've never experienced anything like that!!!

The homemade potato salad with chili sausage is absolutely delicious. The bratwurst is also recommended. We were warmly welcomed and served. The furniture is dated but comfortable. The restaurant is still owner-managed. We were there for the third time today.

Hello, we were here for dinner after the Christmas market on December 10th, 2023. The friendly and well-dressed landlady served us excellently. The food, I had an excellent boiled beef with boiled potatoes, my children each had a pork schnitzel with fried potatoes, their schnitzel was very tasty and crispy and the cheese spaetzle was terrific. For dessert there was vanilla ice cream with raspberries, absolutely delicious. We thank you for everything.

Waren heute das erste Mal in der Gaststätte. Sehr überrascht von der Gemütlichkeit in der Gaststube - bisschen eng aber Urgemütlich.👍Essen war sehr lecker, Aufmerksame Bedienung. Speisekarte sehr vielseitige u.a. auch vegetarische Gerichte. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder.👍👍👍👍👍

Ich kann die Gutt Stub nur empfehlen. Das essen ist echt lecker, das Personal freundlich und schnell. Und man fühlt sich wohl.

Ich war heute ein ungeplantes Geschäftsessen machen. Was mich sehr gefreut hat , war nicht nur die freundliche Bedienung, sondern die Speisekarte hatte eine super Auswahl zwischen vegan zwischen Fleisch und einfach guten Dingen, die die Deutsche Küche hergibt. Ich selbst war begeistert von der Gänskeule. Bis jetzt die beste von Gesamtkonzept! Ich bin schon ein kleiner Feinschmecker und genieße und hier war alles sehr sauber mit einer handwerklichen Sauce gut gemacht und auch die Knödel waren nicht aus der Tüte. Ich kann es nur sehr empfehlen.
