I've been going to Nhy Star in Bermuda3Eck regularly for some time now and have been very satisfied every time. The food is always fresh, delicious, and arrives piping hot. I especially like the gyozas or the fried shrimp as appetizers – both are super crispy and delicious. My favorite dish is the grilled chicken skewers with creamy peanut sauce, but the pho soup is also truly authentic and highly recommended. The portions are large enough to fill you up, but you still have room for dessert. The value for money is definitely good here, and the atmosphere is relaxed, whether you go alone or with friends.

My experience at the Nhy Star definitely leaves room for improvement. I ordered a spicy wok, but it wasn't spicy at all. The tofu wasn't convincing either. We had reserved a table for 6 people, but were initially offered a table for 4 before we noticed that there was a free table outside where we could have put another chair or two. Good planning is different. Unfortunately, the ambiance suffers from the close proximity outside in the Bermuda Triangle, but that's not the restaurant's fault. Not all dishes were delivered correctly. A very pleasant evening. I'm willing to give the place another chance, and perhaps a different dish appeals to me more.

The food was incredibly delicious, especially the pork spring rolls - never had it so perfect anywhere. Portions are very filling, served on great large plates and are very hot and fresh. Good value for money! The waiters were very quick and attentive, funny and friendly.

A bit cramped inside, but delicious

A pleasant welcome, even though we arrived as a couple without a reservation. Service was excellent, and the food was a delight. We'd gladly return.

So, let's just say that after 8:00 PM, you're no longer allowed to sit outside, even though the restaurant is open until 10:00 PM/11:00 PM. The owners also act accordingly, being unfriendly and rude to customers.

Good food! Is in street where you have too many restaurants in downtown. Spring rolls were wrapped in thin rice sheet. It was okay. Without any spices. Souce along with spring roll was good though a bit more sweet than I like. Hot Vietamese tea was available. My colleagues took it and they seems to enjoy it! Too many options for drinks! They had Lassi on menu considering that's not Vietamese! I had Yellow curry with Tofu! Great taste. Service is decent! No Amex accepted.

We're always happy to go back. The food is delicious, the ambiance isn't great, but the staff is friendly. We always enjoy going there.

The food was truly excellent, and I can recommend anyone who likes Asian food to eat there. I could write sooooo much, but you'll see for yourself. I deducted one star for the ambiance and service because I felt the place was very cramped and, when full, very loud. As for the service, I would have preferred more frequent stops to ask if we had any other requests. But, as I said, these are just complaints.

All the dishes were delicious—the curry was served, somewhat unusually, on a flat plate. Seating at the front is a bit uncomfortable—definitely make a reservation!

The food is really delicious and authentic! Unfortunately you have the feeling that you can't sit there for long. The menus are quickly collected and starters and main courses are also brought together. But you're not there for the service, you're there for the food and that's why we're happy to come back!

Very authentic Vietnamese cuisine!

Had dinner with colleagues yesterday. The reception could have been friendlier, we actually wanted to sit in the back area but this was rejected very briskly so we should sit at the front. The food was fresh and tasty, although the meat content could have been higher for the price.

Super loud because the tables are very close together. Unfortunately, the food was subpar, the sauce (peanut sauce) lay like a carpet over the meat and looked very unappetizing. The vegetables were half raw and far too fatty, the meat itself was okay. Everything is way too seasoned (mainly salt) so that you order enough to drink. The first trip to the toilet 2 hours after eating - 4 more should follow. The store has seen us for the last time.

Super delicious food! Everything we had (3 starters and 4 main courses) was absolutely delicious. The service was friendly and the employees were nice. The air in the restaurant is good and you walk out without smelling like food.

Authentic, great Vietnamese restaurant with fantastic quality of food. The taste is a highlight and, as usual, light and the portions are very generous. The prawns in the rice coating were great with the sweet and sour sauce, my duck was on point and the crispy noodles with the fresh vegetables were sensational. The staff is always friendly, attentive and very quick. Price-performance is very good! We would be happy to come back on our next visit to Bochum.

An absolute TOP address for Vietnamese food in the Ruhr area. Great quality, great service and the food tastes great. If you haven't been there yet, you should try it. It's best to reserve in advance by phone.

The Vietnamese restaurant that I regularly visit has become almost a given for me - which certainly speaks for its quality. I always enjoy coming back and look forward to the food every time. Service is good overall, although there are differences in waiters: some are really great, others could use some work on the basics like serving. Nevertheless, for me the restaurant is a reliable place to go for a good Vietnamese meal

Went to the restaurant today... The food is fresh and I enjoyed it until the lady who prepared the food licked her fingers and ate the whole time. We paid 72 euros, expensive, for the food, which may have already been licked. . There was nothing special about food.

The staff is rude, like they're mad at someone, and didn't give us any receipt.

An employee eats with gloves while preparing a salad, spits the leftovers into her hand and continues to prepare the salad with the same gloves. Doesn't work at all.

Were here for lunch. The food was great, the service was great and the outdoor area was very comfortable. Everything is wonderful.

I would like to start by saying that I have been going to Nhy Star for years, alone, with friends, it doesn't matter. I always enjoyed being there and always enjoyed it, but for a few months now nothing has been right. M12 for lunch: the noodles were hard and dry. Service: It has to be that way. (Do I look like I'm trying to close the socket with pliers?) On another occasion I wanted to eat soup there and take the summer rolls with me. Not possible - or pay extra for packaging. My suggestion: just wrap them in aluminum foil, that's enough. Service: No, we don't do that. The boss wants it that way. You don't give up hope. Went there again last week for lunch. The sun was shining, everything was beautiful. There were only 4 tables occupied in the restaurant, there was no one outside at the front or in the garden! Lunchtime was almost over. I would have liked to sit in the garden. This time female Waiter, whining: It's not possible, I can't handle serving, I'm alone. And more fun like that in the last few months. Really sad. But you know what: I have to have it.

It's usually not particularly comfortable in these restaurants, but the staff is very nice. The food came quickly and was tasty and of very good quality. However, it was much better at the Nhy star in Do. Parking is a disaster like everywhere else, which doesn't affect the service.

Bei Lebensmittelunverträglichkeiten wird mehrmals nachgefragt, um sicher zu gehen, dass alles stimmt. Das Essen wird wunderschön angerichtet, das Ambiente ist schlicht aber zweckmäßig.

I have been a regular guest at Nhy Star for many years. There is authentic Vietnamese cuisine here and the price-performance ratio is right. I have always had excellent meals here and have never been disappointed. Particularly noteworthy are the summer rolls, the pho and the delicious curries. I still take some to take home because it's soooo delicious!

Extensive menu with so many excellent options it was hard to choose! Welcoming staff, great atmosphere and delicious food that was great value for money.

The first time there - very tasty food, good vegan selection (ordered rice bowl with tofu, super tasty!!) Service also very good. Only the ambience leaves something to be desired: absolutely unadorned, a single picture, no tablecloth, which makes the place very loud.

We went to Nhy Star for lunch. I am speechless by the food and the service. This will definitely be my favorite restaurant.

Wir kennen das Lokal seit es hier vor ca. 12-13 Jahren aufgemacht macht und und waren sicher schon 20 bis 30 Mal hier. Es ist immer toll, Sommerrollen und Vorspeisen sind absolute Spitze. Besonders toll auch Bun Bo Namh Bo, die verschiedenen Pho's.... Und ja: Alles frisch zubereitet bei fairem Preis-Leistungsverzeichnis. Wir kommen immer wieder....

Sehr gutes Essen und sehr nettes Personal.

Die vietnamesischen Frühlingsrollen sind eine Empfehlung... das Curry mit Ente leider überhaupt nicht. Die Soße war von der Konsistenz eher Pudding und auch geschmacklich kein Highlight. Die Ente war sehr fett und nicht wirklich knusprig.

Das Essen ist okay aber nicht herausragend. Die Räumlichkeiten waren sehr kalt.

Essen war in Ordnung. Ich habe mein Essen nicht geschafft und wollte es mitnehmen. Dafür wurden einfach 1€ berechnet die eigentlich für eine 0,05 Tüte und 0,10 Cent für eine Schale kosten. Das fand ich sehr frech, so etwas bei den Gästen abzurechnen. Komme auch nicht mehr.

Nette Bedienung und sehr leckers Essen leider ist die Musik nicht authentisch aber ansonsten sehr gemütlich, es lohnt sich dort mal essen zu gehen. Wir kommen jedenfalls wieder

Für mich immer noch die Mutter aller vietnamesischen Restaurants an denen ich alle anderen messe, empfehle ganz besonders die tollen Sommerrollen und Bun mit Schweinefleisch. Mittags gibt's zu jedem Gericht nen tollen Minz oder Ingwertee. Veganer und Vegetarier müssen hier keine Angst vor versteckter Fischsoße haben!

Absoluter Geheimtip. Ist ein kleiner Laden mitten im bochumer Bermudadreieck in der Brüderstr. Die Begrüßung und der Service waren durchweg freundlich. Durch den kleinen Laden ist es etwas eng an manchen Stellen, gemütlichist es irgendwietrotzdem. Zum Essen, eine nicht zu mächtige Auswahl, toll angerichtet und ausreichend groß. Geschmacklich absolut top, da gab es nicht das Geringste auszusetzen. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder.

Gute Auswahl vietnamesischer Gerichte, sehr lecker zubereitet und ansprechend serviert. Wir waren jetzt Abends da und hatten reserviert. Mittags gibt‘s auch Tellergericht und Menüs.

Sehr schönes Lokal mit wirklich tollem Essen und auch guten vegetarischen Optionen! Ich mag die Atmosphäre und die Angestellten sind suuuper freundlich!! Für Menschen mit Mobilitätshilfe eignet sich der Laden allerdings nicht, da es keine barrierefreien Toiletten gibt und die Toiletten im 1. UG liegen. Der Eingang hat 1 Stufe und der Innenraum ist so gestaltet, dass es mit einem Rollstuhl schwer zu navigieren wäre. Außerdem ist die Musik in der Tendenz sehr laut, was auch eine Barriere für Menschen mit Autismus oder auditives Prozessierungsstörungen sein kann. Für die beiden Punkte gebe ich auch "nur" 4 von 5 Sternen bei Ambiente, aber ansonsten ist es wirklich einer der tollsten und leckersten Läden in Bochum! Und in Sachen Barrierefreiheit: Dafür ist die Beleuchtung inklusiv gestaltet und es gibt weder grelle, noch flackernde Lichter, das ist echt toll! Ich würde den Laden jedem sehr herzlich weiterempfehlen! Es lohnt sich sehr! Hinzu kommt, dass er sich von dem Schnitt und Aufbau des Restaurant für ganz verschiedene Anlässe anbietet: Es gibt hinten raus einen kleinen, ruhigen, überdachten und schönen Außenbereich, vorne gibt es auch einen Außenbereich, der zum Trubel des Bermudadreiecks zeigt und sich gerade im Sommer anbietet. Es gibt im Innenbereich sowohl Platz für kleine wie auch große Gruppen und eignet sich toll als Restaurant für ein Date, ein Familienessen oder auch ein Firmenessen (alles bereits ausprobiert, letzteres war ein wenig schwierig akustisch, weil man aufgrund der lauteren Musik schwierig Leute verstanden hat und das dann inhaltliche Gespräche etwas erschwert hat). Aber man muss echt sagen: die Angestellten sind super lieb und wenn man nachfragt, machen sie sogar teilweise die Musik etwas leiser, was ich sehr lieb finde (Probleme mit dem Gehör oder dem auditiven Prozessieren sucht man sich ja nicht aus, daher freue ich mich umso mehr, wenn Wege gefunden werden, dass es nicht so schwierig reizverarbeitungstechnisch ist). Fazit: Großartiger Laden, unbedingt ausprobieren! Man kann da auch zum Mitnehmen bestellen :) und alles ist super frisch zubereitet und toll gewürzt. Es gibt auch die Optionen, Gerichte in vegetarischer Version zu bestellen (bspw. ohne Fischsauce etc). Und es gibt unterschiedliche Gerichte mit unterschiedlichen (ausgeschilderten) Schärfegraden. Außerdem sind Allergene sehr übersichtlich ausgeschildert! Und Rückfragen deswegen wurden sehr nett und wahrheitsgemäß beantwortet (wie eine Freundin von mir festgestellt hat). Und alles ist auch sehr sauber und hygienisch :) Außerdem gibt es ein Mittagsmenü, bei dem man einen frischen Minz oder Ingwertee umsonst bekommt und die sind sehr lecker :D Auf jeden Fall eine Empfehlung. Sehr leckeres Essen, geht auch ziemlich schnell. Gute Portionen, hübsch angerichtet auf sehr großen Tellern. Wir haben nicht alles aufgegessen bekommen und komischerweise war eine Gebühr Reste mit zu nehmen 😐🤨
