Hatoky Restaurant GmbH in Bochum

We were last there >1 year ago, there is now a different map. The drinks seem quite expensive to me, 6.20 for 0.5 Erdinger. The taste of the food has changed, not for the better. Why is dry ice served with food?

Disappointing – massively increased prices with no added value We have been regular guests at Hatoky Bochum for years and have always really appreciated the food there. Unfortunately, the menus have recently been completely revised and the prices have been raised massively again. The new prices are no longer in proportion to what is on offer - absolutely not justified for us. The atmosphere and the food are still fine, but the price increase has unfortunately ruined the price-performance ratio. It's a real shame as we always enjoyed visiting this place. But with the current prices, Hatoky Bochum is no longer an option for us. If you're willing to pay a lot more you might enjoy it, but we've decided to go somewhere else in the future. PS: We are in the catering industry ourselves and are aware of the rising costs, but the prices are exaggerated.

Eating Vietnamese is a great recommendation that should also be given to others. We ate fantastically.

For me one of the tastiest restaurants in the Ruhr area. The food is great, fresh, tasty and healthy.

The food was really very tasty. Unfortunately the service wasn't that good. There was not an allergy card as described in the card when asked. The service just said that they didn't have it. The waiter also took the soy sauce from the table even though I was obviously still eating. Immediately after we were finished, the service came and wanted us to pay. We weren't asked if we wanted dessert or drinks. Conclusion: The food was delicious, due to the service and loud atmosphere, not again.

Nice and fast restaurant. The service is very fast. The food is great and the price-performance ratio is okay. The ambience inside isn't particularly great. Reminds me more of a fast food restaurant. Inside everything is very hectic, very warm and very loud. But that's probably also authentic. It's more comfortable on the terrace.

We each had a starter and a main course and all of the dishes exceeded our expectations. We'll definitely be back! Good selection also for vegetarians and some vegan options are also possible.

The food here is a palate orgasm that is second to none. Fast and polite service and the food is not only tasty but also filling. You just have to go. There were three of us here and it was our second time here and each time our worries and depression were blown away. The chefs deserve the best in the world because the food is just too delicious. Please increase salary! Prices are justified by God. We will come here again! Thank you very much.

Food is quite good. But unfortunately there is currently a significant price increase again.

The service was very friendly. The restaurant and toilet were modern and clean. Had spring rolls as a starter and duck as a main course, which was very tasty and very well seasoned.

I ordered by phone. My order easily turned into 20 euros more when I picked it up. Then came the disappointment at home. The wrong thing was also packed. I ordered here for the first and last time. Unfortunately disappointing for me

We ate there as a family. The prices are ok, the food is very tasty. Gladly again.

We had a lovely evening with very tasty food at Hatoky. Despite the packed restaurant, we were lucky enough to get a table. A reservation is definitely recommended. All dishes were wonderful without exception, we would love to come back!

Our food was simply forgotten, the waiter noticed it at some point and didn't apologize or offer any small compensation for it. He doesn't care if people give the restaurant a bad rating... they apparently earn a lot The quantity of the food was also rather limited

The waiter took the order incorrectly and was unwilling to take back what he had incorrectly taken, let alone offer our actual order request. Only for an additional charge. After being Hatoky customers for years, this was the last time we were there because the service didn't treat us fairly. Apparently Hatoky simply no longer needs to respond to customers.

The Hatoky (HAnoi and TOKYo as namesake) offers excellent dishes in a wide variety of variations. Although we only had two main courses today, we were more than satisfied. We would be happy to come back to try other delicacies. The ambience may seem a bit old-fashioned or out of date at first, but this doesn't affect the taste.

Now all Vietnamese in Essen will have a star deducted.

Hatoky offers extremely delicious food with lots of flair. The decor may seem simple, but this restaurant is highly recommended.

The restaurant impresses with a beautiful ambience. The prices are student-friendly and the quality of the food is really good. I am impressed by the price-performance ratio here.

Food was exceptionally good. The portion was just right, but from the perspective of someone who doesn't eat much. So people who are very hungry should definitely order at least one appetizer.

As a Vietnamese person judging Vietnamese food in a foreign country, I think the dishes I had here were quite good, though it is hard to demand solid authenticity in an international setting. Presentation was nice. Bún Bò was delicious: beef was cooked right, sauce was balanced. Vermicelli was tougher than in Vietnam though it was not a big problem. Vegetables were made differently to adapt to the taste of local people, but they were in good harmony with the dish. Gà Rôti was a bit foreign to me - not excellent due to the lack of depth in flavors and aroma, but still enjoyable, with a wide range of greens. I preferred Bún Bò. The chefs communicated in Vietnamese, I felt as if I’d been in Vietnam with that atmosphere. Felt so good to see Vietnamese people doing so well in a foreign country.

pho is still the best in town. Unfortunately, nhystar is far too few and too expensive right across the street. delicious.

Food was good. A bit impersonal in terms of service. Price OK. Personally, I was just missing a spicier note. The different variations of ice tea were great.

We went here again today for dinner and we weren't disappointed. It was again super tasty, the Pho Bo was delicious, the summer rolls too. And the udon noodles with beef (A2 from today's menu) can also be recommended. Thank you and... See you soon.

We have ordered from Hatoky several times. Delivery was always faster than stated when ordering. Sometimes 30 minutes earlier. What surprises and delights us every time. The suppliers are always polite and friendly. Hot dishes are delivered separately from the sushi, which means everything stays fresh and the warm dishes arrive very warm. We haven't been able to complain about the taste yet. Whether it was the fried noodles with duck or tofu, the spring rolls, the sauces and of course the sushi. Everything tastes fresh and is very tasty. There is also a large selection of vegan dishes. Everyone will find something here. Just great! If you're looking for good sushi, you can't miss Hatoky!

So far we have almost always been satisfied. It seems to me that it has become a little more expensive? There is a younger waiter who is always really nice and funny. If this is not there, the service is rather mediocre. However, the food always tastes very good! I eat vegan and have a good selection.

The restaurant looks very inviting with the covered outdoor terrace and the floor-to-ceiling, open windows to the interior. The portions were quite small, but the prices were correspondingly low. This is nice if you want to eat several courses without feeling completely wasted or poor afterwards. The pho and the coconut milk curry with tofu were super delicious! The number of service staff is large - quick and friendly. The menus, as well as the additions at the table (soy sauce, garlic oil, etc.) for individual seasoning are pretty worn out and not really clean for my taste. The plastic plates were badly scratched/faded and the ceramic plates/bowls were all hit several times... Within 2 hours, no soap was added to the toilets, even when asked. The last two points really don't have to be/shouldn't be there - please improve them.

Delicious sushi! The food was very tasty, although expensive compared to other sushi in the city. The location in the Bermuda Triangle is great and the employees were very nice.

We went to Hatoky on a Saturday evening. Even though we didn't have a reservation, we still managed to get a seat outside. As usual, the food was very tasty and fresh! But the staff isn't particularly friendly or attentive. Even though you have already chosen food and drink, only what you want to drink is included. You'll want to come back later for food. For whatever reason. We then waited for the bill because the colleague supposedly has the card machine. But he didn't hand it over to his colleague and preferred to play catch. Just seems very unprofessional.

Very tasty food that really stands out from other Vietnamese in terms of taste. But it also offers a large selection. Will definitely go back 1-2 more times to try other things!

By far the best sushi in all of Bochum! Not only is it prepared very lovingly but it also tastes totally fresh and delicious. The service is also super courteous and not intrusive. We will definitely come back again 😍

We have ordered food several times and are always thrilled. These are by far the best Chinese noodles we have ever eaten. The sushi also impresses us in all its variations. Delivery time just 30 minutes (Sunday at lunchtime), food was very hot and well packaged, the driver was very friendly. We are super satisfied and would happily order again. Price/performance also OK!

Located directly in the “Bermuda Triangle” in Bochum. Nice outside area and nicely decorated inside. The service was really quick and super friendly and really great! Thanks! At first I was skeptical about whether there really had to be another Asian fusion kitchen nearby, but hatoky is incredibly good. The offering is extensive, but not overwhelming. The ingredients are always very fresh and emphasis is placed on an attractive appearance. Overall, the Vietnamese coffee and other specialties are a wonderful addition to the gastronomy in Bochum. The service is very committed, courteous and friendly. When I ordered in advance by phone, I usually received the food on time, even on busy days. Prices are absolutely fair. It can happen that the restaurant can be very noisy due to the high demand. That would be my only criticism. Always my pleasure!

The food is super tasty, the selection is large (including vegan/vegetarian dishes!) It is definitely advisable to make a reservation, as the restaurant is also busy on weekdays. The atmosphere is nice - you can feel comfortable. The prices are absolutely reasonable!

Excellent food very delicious! We were a party of 9, walk in on a Sunday for lunch. Everyone was very pleased with their order. I ordered 2 rolls, rainbow roll and ebi roll, absolutely worth it.

Food is simply great. Service is also very friendly. We recommend. Since the restaurant is relatively large, it is a bit noisy. The seating in the back area is not so suitable for tall people (tables are very low and stools, so no real chairs) The clothes definitely need to be put in the laundry after a visit, they smell a lot like food.
