Hotel vypada z venku hezky. Za ty penize jsem cekala vic. Bohuzel, pokoj nebyl uplne cisty. A hodne slo citit jidlo z kuchyne az do pokoje. Snidane byly docela fajn, ale pokud clovek prisel pozdeji, bylo nedoplneno a v podstate jste si vybirali ze zbytku. Hodne me prvni den prekvapily neuklizene stoly v restauraci z predesleho dne. Nejsem zadna putka, ktera musi mit luxus (to bych si pak zrovna zaplatila 5* hotel), ale myslim si, ze prave takove stripky delaji pak celkovy dojem. Bohuzel, za me nikdy vice. Skoda...je to vsechno o lidech. Misto a okoli nadherne, to vse prevazuje nad zklamanim z ubytovani.

Since this was the closest open restaurant to Haus Martin, we tried it the second night in town. I had a great schnitzel, and managed to request spatzle instead of fried potatoes. My husband had a a chicken, spinach, cheese dish. We enjoyed both, as well as beer and wine. Also was served the typical schnaps after dinner which is made of bloodroot, and is the specialty of the area. She lit it, and gave me a tablespoon to put it out when I wanted. We enjoyed this place.

If you want to hike and take the train, this is the ideal place. The hotel is fine. The staff is friendly and helpful. There's a small elevator. Parking is free. The railway museum is not far away, and the train station is right next door. With the spa card, you can travel by bus and train for free. You can take the Czech railway to Klatov (Mumi), which is worth a visit, and there's also a good restaurant. In Bayrisch Eisenstein, there's a nice restaurant where you can also get dumplings. There's a nice outdoor pool in Zwiesel, which isn't too far away.
