This restaurant has a rustic charm. If you're having a party, there's a kind of separate room/niche available, which I think is great. The service was very quick and friendly. The food is traditional German fare, but very tasty. I highly recommend this restaurant.

A cozy atmosphere and good food. More suited to the over-50s, but great. The extremely affordable and excellent cuisine is particularly noteworthy.

The beer and food are always really great. You have to like the atmosphere (the decor and furnishings date back to the post-reunification era, at the earliest!). But it's still cozy. We really enjoy the beer garden in the summer. Only the tone of the service staff is very often arrogant and condescending. It's very annoying; even though the employees have been there for years, they find it hard to show any enjoyment in their work. And in the service industry—I work in the service sector myself—a smile and a friendly word often bring in a generous tip. I'll still come back though :)

The high occupancy of this excellent restaurant speaks for itself, but it does detract from the ambiance. Good food and attentive service! Always a pleasure – highly recommended!

This was my first time at the Neugruna casino because it's not in my usual area. I'll definitely visit again, though. The food was tasty and reasonably priced. The staff was quick and very friendly.

A stylish restaurant serving hearty, home-style cooking, with a large area suitable for family celebrations or even dramas. The price-performance ratio is surprisingly good by today's standards, though portion sizes are a bit of a mixed bag (mini soup, good main course, huge children's portion). The front area has a lovely, rustic pub feel. Frank Rosin's scoring system: Appetizer: 8 Main course: 9 Dessert: We didn't have any, so it gets 10 Atmosphere: 9 Service: 10 That makes 46 out of 50 points. A visit is definitely worthwhile.

This is authentic Dresden pub culture. Here you'll find everyone from retirees and blue-collar workers to office workers and academics, all in a nostalgic, original atmosphere with excellent staff and delicious food – what more could you want? I always enjoy going back to the Casino in Strießen. It's best to book in advance as it's often packed.

From the handcrafted food at reasonable prices to the attentive service, from the Staropramen to the cozy atmosphere, everything is perfect. The waitress was very nice and friendly. She immediately noticed when someone needed something. But the noise level from so many guests in the room was unbearable.

Very tasty and reasonably priced food. The Würzfleisch (seasoned meat) and the trout are especially recommended.

Time seems to have stood still here, but that's not a bad thing. The menu is small, but there's something for everyone. The prices are very reasonable for Dresden. Friendly service.

Cozy beer garden. I didn't really like the food. The red cabbage was completely overcooked, and the dumplings were from a package. But it was OK, and the price was certainly reasonable.

We were recently at the Neugruna Casino and can highly recommend the schnitzel day on Wednesdays! The schnitzels are fantastic – crispy, juicy, and perfectly prepared. A great tip for anyone craving a really good schnitzel midweek. We'll definitely be back!

You'll always receive a friendly welcome. The menu isn't overloaded with food and drinks, so everyone will find something they like. The service is fast, and the food is delicious. The portion sizes are perfectly adequate. We always feel completely at home here and will definitely be back.

Unfortunately, the quality of the food continues to decline. There were no vegetables on the side, and the mushroom ragout was served as a simple sauce with a few pieces of mushrooms. The fried potatoes weren't cooked at all and were so soft they fell apart. This is clearly unacceptable.

The food is reasonably priced, and it tastes just right. Lots of pork, no beef goulash, no Saxon sauerbraten. Nothing special; the place isn't suitable for gourmets. Sorry for my opinion, but this is a rip-off. The main thing is that the cash register is right.

Last week, we spontaneously visited the Neugruna Casino – and were immediately warmly welcomed. The service was excellent: very friendly staff and fast, attentive service. We were able to order our drinks and food quickly, and both arrived at our table without long waits. The food was truly delicious, freshly prepared, and the portions were absolutely generous. We were also given a warm farewell as we left – an all-round successful visit! We would definitely be back.

The atmosphere is very pleasant and the staff are friendly and helpful - you feel like you are in good hands. The food is okay, the prices are really very fair. However, there is one major point of criticism: the changing mat is located in the middle of the aisle, so that every guest can see when a baby is being changed. This is absolutely unacceptable and should be changed urgently - more privacy is a must here!

Schnitzel Wednesday for €9, where else can you get that these days? Right on Niederwaldplatz! Delicious, simply quick and uncomplicated. Friendly staff, good food, nice location.

Were invited to a family celebration here. The food was excellent, very tasty. The service was always attentive and excellent. The only drawback, the cake wasn't anything special.

The restaurant was well attended and the volume level was appropriate. The staff was attentive and courteous. Unfortunately, the food was at canteen level and we were quite disappointed with the schnitzels. There was 1 side dish (quartered potatoes) and that was it on the plate. There was hardly anything noticeable about the filling in the chicken schnitzel.

The last time we were there was about two years ago, always enthusiastic, but this time I was disappointed...nice service, the portions a bit too small, and freshly prepared, which means you have to accept a longer waiting time, but the food was on the table after 4 minutes.... carelessly prepared and not really appealing in taste

Very nice service, but the food wasn't particularly good. The food arrived on the table within 10 minutes of ordering? That makes me wonder what's fresh about it. Furthermore, the food was poorly presented.

In the Neucruna Casino it's still a real pub culture. Super delicious food, incredibly lovely employees who still put their hearts into their work, just old guard and all in a nice atmosphere at good prices and top Bohemian draft beer, what more could you want. Here you will be a repeat offender in a positive sense. A somewhat simpler restaurant with friendly staff and hearty, simple but good-tasting food. The atmosphere is rustic and simple, but goes very well with everything. In summer you can also sit outside very well, but you should make a reservation to be on the safe side. The prices are very reasonable and Wednesday is schnitzel day.

A really great authentic shop, you can tell there are a hundred years of hospitality in the walls here. The food is incredibly inexpensive, good portions and simply really tasty. The service is attentive and very personable. Completely round number this establishment 👌 We come more often now 👍

Here for dinner today. Waiter very friendly. Everything started well. Then the food came, unfortunately no salad. Not a slice of cucumber, tomato or anything. The waiter's answer: Nobody eats a leaf of lettuce and we always throw it away. Completely carelessly presented plate. We've had a different experience here. Too bad!

We ate there in the beer garden today on September 5th, 2024. In my defense, we were there about 7 years ago. The first impression is pensioners without end. Which is not a negative point because the waiters were very friendly. The menu was clear and mostly pork. We ordered steak gratinated twice, once as a side dish with salad and once as a side dish of mixed vegetables, both with fried potatoes. Of course, the vegetables were sweet and sour without being blanched right out of the bag. The fried potatoes convention. Bacon and onions were fried beforehand and added afterwards. The cheese for baking seemed like it was a processed cheese from the supermarket. The craziest thing was that Ragout Fang was from a can. After asking the waiter, he even denied that it was canned meat or overcooked chicken and claimed it was pork 😁 so sorry, of course you can eat better for 16 euros per person. But please not under these conditions. The salad dressing tasted like it came from the bottle. Unfortunately I can't recommend it any further. Nevertheless, the waitress remained friendly and always had a fresh saying on her tongue.

Food and service were okay, price for 6 people €158.50! Unfortunately, what we didn't like so much were the seating options with outdoor lighting! Chairs and tables old and worn...also incredibly uncomfortable! What we were also missing were the details...e.g. a tablecloth...decent seat cushions...enough beer mats for the glasses...just a little more attention to detail! Thank you for letting us visit you.

Wednesday is schnitzel day and a full house! In the early evening you could still choose between two free tables, so it's better to reserve in advance. Of course, schnitzel should be eaten. The drink order was taken quickly and friendly and delivered. They were asked about their choice of food. The choice fell on the schnitzel with fries. After about 10 minutes the food was on the table. Probably schnitzels will be well prepared. Two schnitzels with a piece of lemon, about 15 fries and ketchup were served per plate. The breading of the schnitzel could have been crispier. The taste and thickness of the meat was very good, it was tender. 15 fries are maybe 30 grams, maybe a little small. But for 8.99 euros I think it's okay. The fries were very hot and crispy. This offer promises equally good things for other days. Just try it once!

We were there on Wednesday for Schnitzel Day. For €8.99 you get two schnitzels with fries 🍟. The schnitzel was of good quality and the fries tasted good too. In my opinion, a small salad was still missing and it could easily cost 1-2€ more. The waitresses were very friendly and often asked whether everything was OK and whether there were any further requests.

If you're looking for a cozy, quaint little pub, this is the place for you. The food is delicious, the service is always friendly. It's a great place to linger and end the evening. This is also the right place for family celebrations. We always enjoy going here.

We were looking forward to German, home-style cooking, like it always used to be, but we were really disappointed. Everything happened very quickly, potatoes were so white and unseasoned, very watery, tongue looked like it had been in water for three days and was sticky , dumplings were very small and the sauce was a ready-made sauce. Everything was prepared without love. Ok, lack of staff, but that's not how you keep customers, even if the prices are cheap. Plus point, the service is very friendly.

Unfortunately I was very disappointed with the food. I was really looking forward to the beef tongue with asparagus that I ordered. Unfortunately I was very disappointed. The tongue was tough, I could only cut it with great difficulty and therefore only with great effort could I eat. As well The 3 pieces of tongue still had the skin on. This should be removed before preparation. The asparagus tasted watery and unseasoned. Overall, this meal was a disaster. The service was very friendly and accommodating. Bridget
