Neos - Restaurant & Weinbar in Cochem

Nice, cozy atmosphere and very warm service. We can only recommend an evening at Neos!

It was our first time in the restaurant and we were immediately warmly welcomed. We really liked the service, the timing between the starter and the main course was just right. And further requests were also asked at regular intervals. The food was very tasty and there was something for everyone in the selection. All in all, a really nice, recommended restaurant. We would be happy to come back on our next stay in Cochem.

Finding excellent food in Cochem is like looking for a needle in a haystack. Luckily we found the Neos which we hadn't noticed at first because of the rather normal Google average. This stems from the legacy of previous reviews, as the Neos in this format has only existed for ten months. The small but fine restaurant impresses with tasty, finely interpreted dishes of the highest quality. No frills but beautifully presented, regional and seasonal ingredients. There is also a suitable wine for every taste, the origin of which the host knows very well. This restaurant absolutely deserves 5 stars, we had a great evening that satisfied our quest for delighted taste buds.

Der 2te Besuch dieses Restaurants. Das erste Mal eher zufällig. Aufgrund des ersten Besuchs das 2te Mal gezielt. Eingang etwas unscheinbar. Treppe hoch... Wow. Sieht schick aus. Gat einen Aussenbereich. Nicht nur schick sondern auch sehr leckere Speisen. Dieses Mal ein 4 Gänge Menu. Sehr gutes Pries/Leistungsverhältnis. Wir wohnen ca 60km weit weg. Werden auf den zukünftigen Touren entlang der Mosel sicher noch öfter dort einkehren.

The food and wine were tasty. The portion sizes definitely don't match the price, it was too little. Unfortunately, the service was not attentive and not very friendly. Really a shame.

We arrived around 19:00 without a reservation and were lucky enough to get a table after five minutes waiting. We ordered and got our water and wine quickly. Then the great waiting began. At 20:00 we still had not received our food, whereas two neighbouring tables who arrived later had already been served. Then suddenly we received bread and olive oil, which we had not ordered, but hey… At 20:15 the waiter came and asked us to remind him what we had ordered… The food eventually came at 20:30, ninety minutes after we arrived. The schnitzel had an odd taste, the fries were too salty, the chicken breast was OK, but the vegetables in wine sauce were too salty again. This was not worth waiting so long for. When paying, the bread that we didn’t order was on the bill, so had to be taken off again. Nie wieder.

Ambience quite nice. It's so loud that you can't hear your own words. After asking several times, we were given another table. which wasn't much quieter. Only in the last corner. 2 drinks 1x grape juice and 1x Fanta over 20 minutes. Food was partly OK. My sirloin steak arrived cold. Was 80% raw! Fried potatoes not cut properly, not cooked through and completely with peel. The waiter didn't care when paying. He was hardly ever there. Acted like he didn't understand. He still looked at me with contempt because there was only a €9 tip. The other waiter who brought the food was very nice. My partner's food was apparently ok.

Truly one of the best restaurants I know. The food consisted only of the freshest ingredients and was of such high quality that it was absolutely comparable to a star restaurant! The service was super friendly and extremely attentive without being intrusive! If you're in Cochem and don't eat here, you've really missed something!

Our group of eight (being 4 medical doctors with their partners) was refused; perhaps it was too much work for them to put some tables together? Restaurant was less than 25% occupied…

Unfortunately the staff is very arrogant and unfriendly. You don't feel welcome. Good food tastes good in a good atmosphere, otherwise not. There was a great restaurant here a few years ago with young and friendly service. Foreign guests were also warmly welcomed. That's how it should be. Cochem thrives on tourism, it is strange that there is no space for international guests here. It's a shame... It's no longer fashionable to be like this...

We didn't know the restaurant, discovered it by chance. We went up the stairs and were thrilled by this great, immediately noticeable warm atmosphere. The service was simply great, warm and accommodating. The food. I think we have rarely eaten sooooo well. Thank you for everything we had in 2 hours yesterday. The prices absolutely justify the really good food. Awesome shit!!!!!!!

The greatest restaurant in Cochem. The ambience and of course the range of food on offer is fantastic. The taste is simply great. We felt very comfortable and received great service.

Unfortunately there aren't many good restaurants in Cochem, there's a lot of mass-market tourist fare. Neos is a welcome exception: very good food and equally good service. An absolute recommendation!

Reservierung online klappte hervorragend. Mega nett empfangen worden.Essen vorweg Kürbiscremesuppe und Lückenfüller klasse. Hauptgang so schmeckt die Mosel und Knusperschnitzel spitze. Zart und saftig. Service immer flott und bis zum Schluss trotz Stress sehr freundlich. P.S den versprochenen Geburtstags Schnaps hole ich mir vielleicht im nächsten Cochem Urlaub ab. 😀

The best restaurant in Cochem. We went there twice a week and were not disappointed. Super nice service, great food. And lo and behold, it was possible both times without a reservation!

Make a reservation in advance, otherwise the kitchen will be overwhelmed.

Were in Cochem as tourists and were completely annoyed by the rip-off of many restaurants there. The Neos, however, stood out more than positively! Very tasty food and friendly service. Currently some dishes with fresh chanterelles. Highly recommended. Will try the burgers next time.

Very high priced, the ambience is nice, the food tasted good, the waiting time for food and drinks was a bit too long, but the staff was polite and attentive. Due to the wine prices being a bit exorbitant for us, we actually won't be coming back

The food was okay. Nothing special but certainly not bad either. They could do something more fun with the vegetables. My girlfriend only had mushrooms and I only had pickled cucumber, so it was a bit monotonous. Service was good!

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Neo's Restaurant and I have nothing but positive things to say. The service was extremely friendly and very attentive, which made the visit a real pleasure. The food was excellent - tasted great and the portions were more than sufficient. Overall, a wonderful experience that I can only recommend to everyone. Neo's restaurant is definitely worth a visit!

Not recommended for vegetarians/vegans. Two dishes to choose from. A salad, and it's just an appetizer. Burger: You can get better vegetarian burger patties at Rewe. All of this for an unjustified price. Maybe the meat-heavy dishes are worlds better, which is why my review is only of interest to the non-meat-eating population

Food was good, crunchy and tasty schnitzel with some cranberry sauce. On the side we had a lot of nice fries and a salad! The service was good, because as we were not really in their sight they still asked if we needed anything.

Order two burgers. 12 euro each. Two pommes. Not sure about price. Two cola. Total bill 40euro for two person. Burger was not as good in taste. Was small in portion. The patty was flipping here and there during cutting with knife. Pommes was very tasty.

We went here for dinner with a group. The food was sometimes given two, sometimes four stars by colleagues. The service was ok, the wine list was immature and the ambience itself was harmonious. I found it significantly too expensive for what was offered.

Our group of 6 had dinner at Neos twice during our stay in Cochem. You have to look a bit because the restaurant with outdoor terrace is located on the first floor, but it is worth it. It is a nicely decorated restaurant where the tables are well spaced apart. It looks modern and fresh and the service and atmosphere are good and friendly. The fact that we ate at Neos twice in a short period of time says it all. Super! We wish the Neos team much success for the future

A wonderful evening. Anyone who appreciates good food and a nice, quiet, cozy atmosphere has come to the right place. The service from our waiter was also extremely good. Great wine recommendations and a little small talk about the local wines included. There was nothing missing! This is how you imagine a visit to a restaurant that was worth every cent. We'll definitely be back! Clear recommendation!

So, exciting experience… We were traveling with 9 people and had already largely decided on the menu (4 courses at least 60 euros). Maybe the expectations here were already too high. Arrived, entrance through a less attractive stairwell next to a kebab shop. The smell was very greasy when we walked in, we couldn't tell whether that was because of the open kitchen or the kebab shop. Despite having a table reservation, we were put off for 20 minutes. When we returned we waited about 60 minutes for the first course. It was also ok and attractively prepared. Unfortunately, the bread that was part of the menu was only served after 60 minutes. Afterwards we waited another 30 minutes for an unfortunately very bland salmon foam soup. And then another 30 minutes for the main course. Cutlery wasn't given to any of the courses and the plates weren't cleaned properly either. Overall, a very disappointing result. I think there is also a lot to be said about demands and implementation. Burgers, fries and “high-quality” menus are offered here. The inventory is quite attractive and the location itself is nice, but the smell of grease in the whole store from the deep fryer ruins a lot. Eating a burger and drinking a wine here on the terrace is definitely ok, but the menu here is definitely not worth 60 euros, or the concept should be reconsidered. Either high class or bistro. Friendly service, gratitude for our feedback and the fact that there was a lot going on made up for a lot in the end

What a gem! Recommended by our hotel as "New German." My partner had grilled chicken breast with new potatoes and seasonal vegetables. I had a great schnitzel with new potatoes and spargle. All great but the spargle was like a dream, prepared perfectly. Service was super. Reservations are necessary and cash.

You can enter the restaurant through two entrances. The one on the side, directly into the restaurant, or the one from the front past other restaurants through the stairwell... where you think... ok...? But you will then be pleasantly surprised by the ambience. Very nice. You feel relaxed relatively quickly. Very nice service. The menu is well laid out and the wine recommendations for every meal are really perfect. We ordered different main courses and paired them with the recommended wines. We were really surprised at how well they harmonized. Really great! By chance, a colleague was there with her partner. They could only agree with the opinion. She found the “I time” totally appealing

We were very happy with the food and the friendliness at Neos. There is a great atmosphere inside and there is a cozy charm outside. The adjacent street doesn't bother you. Reasonably priced...we'll be happy to come back if we're in the area again.

Great modern restaurant with nice service. The burger tasted very good, there is still room for improvement with the fries, they were a little pale. Quite expensive.

The staff is friendly, accommodating and happy to join in the fun. There were 7 of us for dinner and the dishes always came at the same time, even if a main course was forgotten. The advice on wine was excellent. Unfortunately the restaurant no longer had any salad, but we were informed of this straight away. The beef carpacchio is traditionally hammered until it is wafer-thin. The quality of the meat is very good. For my main course I had the vegetarian burger, which is made from pea protein. The patty looks like meat and tastes very close to meat. In the finish you notice the slightly floury consistency. The other dishes were also convincing. The restaurant is modern and brightly decorated and also has a small terrace. The price-performance ratio is also right here.

Finding an attractive restaurant in Cochem was not that easy. The Neos is by far the best that Cochem has to offer. Creative small menu, regional ingredients, the dishes are absolutely worth seeing and taste convincing. Cool and chic atmosphere with super comfortable chairs. 😄

The best restaurant in all of Cochem, if not in Germany. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. Everything went quickly and was super tasty. The beef fillet was phenomenal and I can only recommend it. The Neos is always worth a visit and can be recommended with all my heart.

Fantastic food, finely put together with matching wines on New Year's Eve. I have rarely eaten so well and then the ambience with lots of space. The friendly service, all around great and highly recommended. However, if you just want a quick meal, this is the wrong place for you. I will definitely come back. The food was great. The service was perfect except for one small thing. You should wait to clear the table until everyone is finished. Otherwise everything is Tipitopi.

The reception was very friendly. Unfortunately, the young man's clothing was too casual for us. OK for a student bar, absolutely inappropriate for this place. The menu for food and drinks is very small, but that's not a problem in principle. The beetroot with goat cheese, berries and green salad was OK but nothing more. I've eaten much better and more refined interpretations. For a price of €13.00, I would have expected roasted nuts/seeds, that could be much more sophisticated!!! The duck breast was fried pink but very firm. The red cabbage was very coarse and heavily flavored with clove. The duck breast was also accompanied by 2 small dumplings. Unfortunately, our taste was not met and the estimated price of just under €26.00 unfortunately did not reflect the quality. It's a shame, we were hoping for some culinary enrichment in Cochem. Unfortunately, regional products, a nice ambience and a relaxed approach to customers are not enough to stand out from the "culinary uniformity" that is served in this beautiful city.

You climb the stairs and you will be surprised by the cozy atmosphere. Service is very friendly, food was good! We had a main and dessert and that was just enough. The cod with pumpkin risotto is highly recommended. Children's dishes have also been taken into account. Top!

Essen super! Perfekter Gastgeber, nett professionell und immer nett. Selbst zu „komischen“ Gästen vom neben Tisch.
