A friend and I spent 2 nights here. We didn't realize that there were 2 hotel buildings. Although the sauna and pool were in our building, breakfast had to be eaten in the other building. The hotel is getting older. You can really hear everything that happens in the neighboring rooms and in the hallway. There is no telephone in the room, no coffee maker, no refrigerator, no air conditioning. The breakfast was okay - rather modest for people with lactose intolerance or vegans. The staff was sometimes unemotional and even unfriendly. Communication is totally difficult. Is it because of my standard German? I was never immediately understood and I don't speak quietly or slurred. I myself barely understood what some of the non-German-speaking employees were trying to express. The only plus point: the sauna is really great and when we said goodbye there were 2 small bottles of water and muesli bars for the journey home - that was nice! But where the 4 hotel stars and the completely absurd room price per night come from is a mystery to me. These points are probably simply due to the location.

Hello, "Brixiade" was a wonderful address for us for a 3-night stay. Breakfast and dinner left nothing to be desired, the waitresses were very friendly. The location of the hotel, right on the banks of the Moselle, with a view of the Reichsburg, the cycle path on the doorstep, the bridge to the old town and the same always in view from the hotel room - nothing more is possible.

We stayed in the Triton Hotel. This is a 2-minute walk from the Brixiade Hotel where all meals are held.

Beautifully located, the view is breathtaking, very friendly staff and an excellent breakfast. From here you can get everywhere on foot. Feel good guaranteed.

Rooms very dated, in warm weather no air conditioning or fan, so very warm. We were in the Triton not in the hotel, you do not know in advance where you are going, you have to walk 5 minutes to the hotel for food, in itself no point, but definitely not 4 stars!!. no reception available, no telephone in the room to be able to call reception in case of emergency. staff do not understand you and often cannot speak German Rooms/bathrooms neat and clean Breakfast fine but poor buffet, food was cold every evening, nothing helped if you indicated this. Unhealthy food snack bar meal, so after 2 times I went to eat in the city. There is nothing to do in the hotel in the AVPND. Terraces close early, many elderly people have nothing to do in the area, no entertainment, beautiful surroundings but you also want to see something, then you have to rely on your car, unfortunately this holiday was a big mistake, fortunately nice weather but no Brixton Hotel again a waste of money

Well appointed, if a bit dated, hotel located across the river (short walk) from the downtown area, which is nice because it is more serene and you have the view of the town and castle. Enjoyed the spa.

We went on holiday for two for 6 days/5 nights with half board. Cochem is a very nice place and the location of the hotel is very good. There are sufficient parking spaces available. Room rating: The rooms offer a good standard, which is completely sufficient. Since we were guests during a very hot week, we sometimes missed air conditioning. But this would not be the reason for a worse rating. Wellness: We had our room in the Triton. We had to go to the nearby Brixiade to eat, which wasn't a problem. The advantage of the Triton clearly outweighs this. The wellness area is in the house and very easy to reach. The pool was a welcome way to cool off during this hot week. Sauna area is also good. Location: As already written, the location is perfect. Very good parking options. Also free if you want to take a short walk. Close to the center of the “happening”. Service: We would like to divide the service into 4 “teams”. 1. Room cleaning. There's not much to write about. Everything is fine. 2. Reception (reception): Very friendly. There was a small misunderstanding regarding our online booking, but this was resolved immediately. Everything is fine here too. 3. Dinner service: The dinner service is very nice and very friendly. Everyone goes out of their way to pamper their guests and give them wonderful days. Everything is fine here too. 4. Service at the buffet (breakfast and dinner) Concerns the “team” who is responsible for the buffet and refilling food, drinks, plates, etc. There is clear criticism on our part here. For example, juices, sauces and cups were only refilled or refilled upon MULTIPLE requests from guests. In our opinion, there is a bit of a lack of instinct when it should be refilled or refilled. The “refilling” of buffet dishes happens very late. This could be done better. The hotel is quite allright and amazing views from the terrace. Beds are are not great and pillows awful if you care abt that. Service cant be bothered and dinner is only until 20.30. Overall ok but better places in the area

Predominantly older residents, beautiful view, large room with terrace overlooking the Moselle. Too bad that in Triton there was no possibility to have a drink on the terrace. At dinner, sometimes not everything on the buffet was replenished in a timely manner, which made hotel guests dissatisfied. Breakfast buffet perfect! Everything available and more than enough. Would go back there.

It was generally very warm in our room. It was hardly possible to open the windows at night because some kind of cooling or ventilation in the inner courtyard made a lot of noise and unfortunately also inconsiderate guests in the middle of the night - but the hotel can't really do anything.

A lovely hotel, slightly dated but everything neat and clean. We were in the Triton and that also included the wellness. We were able to make great use of that. Our room had a beautiful balcony with a view over the Mosel and Cochem and the castle. The staff are all equally nice and helpful. And what I really liked was if you wanted to skip cleaning the room for a day. Could you hang a bag on the door handle with a text stating that no cleaning is required today? And you got a bag of candy for that. Not necessary, but very nice and thoughtful! Definitely recommended.

Great room, good bed and very clean. Magical view of the Reichsburg and Cochem. Quiet location on the bank opposite Cochem. Extensive breakfast buffet and dinner buffet. Spacious wellness area. Squeaky clean everywhere. Both check-in and check-out were very friendly and helpful. The table service by Mr. Barhak Teresh was very pleasant. Knows his trade and has good knowledge of the regional wines. We will definitely go back.

The hotel we have enjoyed staying at for years. We stay there several times a year. Not a single comment, 1 little service terrace could be better, sometimes a long wait.

Amazing view of the castle from the hotel. There is also 60 degree, 90 degree, and wet saunas , as well as a small pool. It’s great for relaxation after a long day hiking around. It does close around 2000 if I’m not mistaken.

We had a beautiful room with a fantastic view. The staff was friendly. Since I like to have a good breakfast, I was quite disappointed that this hotel only offers scrambled eggs made from egg powder. No taste and no tasty consistency. It's a shame that no effort is being made.

I stayed at the Hotel Brixarde with three people with disabilities. The staff was very helpful, friendly and accommodating. There was nothing wrong with the food, it suited us very well.

Double hotel complex Brixiade&Triton, in one you can eat, in the other there is a swimming pool and sauna. The Triton where we stayed is older, which is evident in the furnishings. I had booked an arrangement with a view of the Moselle and a castle view (also advertised), unfortunately the Reichsburg could only be seen from the far corner of our own balcony due to the balcony of another room in front of us. Ultimately, I am dissatisfied with the price-performance ratio and would not book it again.

The location is great and the view is unique. But the hotel urgently needs to be renovated. The service staff seems untrained and overwhelmed. The price-performance ratio doesn't fit. Next time we'll look for an alternative...

Great location, underground parking, clean. Unfortunately some unfriendly staff. The first words were "they're too early." Hardly any staff at breakfast, with trainees who can't bring a cappuccino in 30 minutes or waiters who barely speak German. Once used, the tables were not re-set and were only cleared slowly, so that the tables in the first rows with a view of the Moselle and the castle had to remain empty. Even if you asked, you were directed to tables further back that were set. We thought that was a shame. Rooms are very old. The shower was so small that you couldn't even bend down to pick up anything you dropped. From 10 p.m. the main entrance was closed and you had to use a poorly signposted side entrance. An explanation at check-in would have been nice. My husband had a birthday during the stay. I think for a 4* hotel you might expect them to have this on their radar. Unfortunately that wasn't the case. All in all okay, but unfortunately nothing more and not really justified for the high price.

We stayed at the hotel with friends for a weekend. It was a nice weekend, the hotel was very nice and the arrival was very nice. Staff super polite and accommodating. However, the room left a lot to be desired for a 4 star hotel. We have already stayed in a 4 star hotel and it was something completely different. Nevertheless, everything was clean and pragmatic but nothing special. Bed, closet, bathroom with shower. The location of the hotel is great and that's what you pay for. Food was very good and really tasty. Always something for vegetarian guests too. Waitress was super nice and friendly and helpful. Breakfast great with everything you could want. Please offer soy milk in a different container otherwise it will flake. Excursions through the hotel were also great. Nice swimming pool, great sauna. Bathrobe, extra towels, etc. you get in a bag which was practical. If the rooms were different there would be full stars from me..

Unfortunately, the arrival was very poorly organized, 3 p.m. prime time, two people at the counter, only one checking in, 15 people in line, so the holiday experience doesn't start off well. Maybe offer people champagne instead or sit them in the cafe and call them up if it's been taking that long. The first room smelled of smoke and was very small, the next room was more spacious with a view of the castle and the Moselle, therefore 4 stars for the location. Everything was clean, beds were good, breakfast was solid but nothing special, just filter coffee. Overall, everything was renovated in the 90s, only the wellness area was nice and modern, but the steam bath didn't work... overall, we expected more for the price and 4*.

Good day, I was informed that I have severe allergies and was in a room with full mats on the floor and that my husband was disabled, the room was so small that I could only just get the wheelchair into the room. I'm not saying it wasn't clean, but after 1 night of sleep I already had a severe allergy flare-up, which also gave me a migraine. And I always had to move from Triton 4 to the floor, a very sloping slope which did not work for me to move to Brixiade, also a strong slope to push the wheelchair up. Not recommended, breakfast is still tasty, but dinner is much less so. And after 2 days I couldn't eat anything anymore, so sick from allergies that we went home for the 3rd day

The hotel is right on the water - if you have a balcony, great! View directly onto the Moselle. Very very nice! The city is about 8-10 minutes away on foot. One had the impression that the service staff were a bit overwhelmed. Sometimes you had to wait a long time until someone came. One day I set the table for breakfast myself after waiting 10 minutes. This is my second time here and this time I'm really disappointed. It's a shame ☹️

We were here for the second time. Very friendly, competent staff. We had booked the “Motorcycling on the Moselle” offer, with a packed lunch for the road, a very good road map and a gourmet buffet that really left nothing to be desired. Reserving a space in the hotel garage for the car in advance at €15 per night turned out to be a very good decision. The hotel is located directly on the Moselle with a view of the Reichsburg and you can walk to the center of Cochem in just a few minutes. When the weather is nice, sitting outside on the terrace in the beautiful arbors with a view of the Moselle and Reichsburg is highly recommended!

We had a pleasant stay in Cochem. We really fell in love with this romantic city. The Triton Hotel is very well located, you can reach everything on foot. The view of the castle and the Moselle from our room is simply magnificent. The swimming pool and spa are outstanding, ideal for relaxing after a day exploring the valley. We will come back in any case.

The room was great! The view, the facilities and the quality are great. However, very annoying, we had no shower or shampoo products in the bathroom, which was actually included in the booking! The employee in the evening when ordering the wine was very competent and friendly. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said about breakfast that morning; they were totally overwhelmed and probably understaffed. However, this led to dirty tables and plates not being refilled quickly. A pity. All in all, it's relatively expensive, but it's okay for a short trip. :)

Welcome to the service desert of Germany. A nice hotel with a good location, but the restaurant is totally understaffed. Mostly trainees or employees with little knowledge of German. Something like that just doesn't work in a 4 star hotel. Germany is finally waking up and forcing all the people who prefer to live on social benefits to work. Anyone can bring drinks to the table or clear the table. It is positive that guests now clear their own tables from the terrace and leave the dishes inside the hotel. We finally have to make it clear to all the refugees and Ukrainians that they also have to work here in Germany and don't constantly live at the expense of the German taxpayer!!!

Very nice hotel and very nice room. Unfortunately the steam function in the shower didn't work.

Upon arrival there was no exact explanation or description of the room location. After asking, there was only accompaniment. Not on the same level with elevator. We were not offered any help with our luggage when we had to go up and down the stairs to get to the room. There is no luggage rack in the room. Dinner menu was booked in advance. However, the assigned table was placed between the tables of the buffet guests. This is not how you imagine a 4 or 5 course menu in a hotel **** restaurant! The feel-good effect was missing from the volume of the buffet guests running! The type and quality of the menus also did not meet the standards we know from previous hotels

👍🏻Positive: Comfortable and clean room in general. 👎🏻Negative: The artificial smell in the room was the most horrible, how could you think of adding that horrible air freshener that made me dizzy. The maid didn't wash the bathroom, she just made the beds. Eating in another building is not the most comfortable. Please wash the curtains. When a hotel charges a surcharge for dogs, at least they give them water and a bed, here you pay for nothing.🐶

We stayed on the Moselle for 6 days, got an upgraded room upon arrival, which was fantastic, view of the Moselle, room very clean, beautifully decorated with flowers upon arrival, we felt very comfortable, the staff were very friendly. We also visited the wellness area, which was small and clean. The area is great for hiking, we would love to come to the Moselle again

Very clean rooms, great location of the hotel, very good breakfast buffet. However, the rooms are very noisy and the dinner is absolutely not to our taste. For a 4 star hotel there is little choice and some cold food. The buffet is far too small for so many people, you stand in line forever. Spa is very nice and clean, but quite small. Nothing for a real wellness holiday.

I can recommend it for a two night stay

Receptionist checking in: "I'm in a good mood today and I'm giving you an upgrade to your room." We wouldn't have accepted that. Room 307: Rotting, musty smell / stench in the room, which cannot be removed even by constant ventilation. Reception's answer: "This is an old hotel, there are a lot of problems here, smell is known". Speechless. Price-performance not available. Sauna can be reached via road; very well attended, much too small for that; Sauna area with continuous music that repeats every four minutes. This is not wellness!

The location and the view from the balcony rooms are great. When checking in at the front desk the employee was very nice. However, I don't think it's a very good solution for two guests to check in at the counter at the same time. It was very narrow and loud and not ideal due to data protection. Carpeted almost everywhere in the hallway. The rooms were clean, but old-fashioned and worn. The double bed consists of two single beds with wheels that slide apart at the slightest movement. The bathroom is quite small and the partition wall of the bathtub could also be wider so that the water doesn't splash out. In our friends' bathroom there was a gap between the shower door where the water kept running through and flooding everything. Our friends' television was on a table on the side of the bed, so watching television was not possible at all. It could also have been attached to the wall. The breakfast was very good and rich. Dinner was good. On the first evening the salad dressing was empty for a while. The employees in the restaurant are sometimes friendly and courteous, but they also often have a snippy, commanding tone. It's very stupid that there is no covered transition from the Brixiade to the Triton. The wellness area is a bit small for the many hotel guests, but okay. It's enough to take a few sauna sessions. If you want a wellness holiday, you've come to the wrong place. There are still a few little things that we didn't like, but are not relevant. But the hotel has a top location in Cochem. Just a few minutes' walk to the town and a beautiful view of the other bank of the Moselle and the Reichsburg. The price/performance ratio is not entirely consistent for us.

Old-fashioned and not a wellness hotel, A weekend for two was planned in a beautiful area with the opportunity for wellness. The area is really fantastic. The view from the window was magnificent. The Moselle and the Reichsburg could be seen in the background. The reception was also quite ok, the colleague at the reception is very passionate about it, but it also takes some getting used to. We only booked breakfast because half board was too expensive for us. Dinner, which was offered exclusively as a buffet, costs €31.50 for guests. We preferred to go to Essen in the city, where there are a number of restaurants even in the off-season. Since this is a wine region, there are of course many wine bars and the range of different wines is huge. The room in the hotel was very clean, but still furnished in a really old-fashioned way. Hotel furniture like it existed in the 90s. Dark and unappealing. The breakfast was ok, there was a wide selection, but somehow the modern style and the passion to inspire the guest were missing. Everything was presented rather carelessly. I just missed that vegan products were also offered and that there might be a different highlight every day that the guests could look forward to. The pool and sauna area are also OK, but not designed for the number of guests. The relaxation room holds almost about 20 guests and the rest somehow have to sit in the hallway. So there is no relaxation. In addition, there is no check as to whether the guests are adhering to the sauna rules, as many of them had their towels wrapped around their bodies, but not one on the bench, so that their feet stood naked on the bench and sweat got on them. The pool is ok, but also unsuitable for many guests. Overall, there was no recovery here. In the evening we visited the bar and had free wasabi nuts. The drink selection was a bit limited, but sufficient. What wasn't solved so well was the service. At times we had to wait quite a long time and the service staff seemed quite annoyed. We were more or less kicked out when it was 10 p.m., even though the bar was supposed to be open until 1 a.m. The reason was because no one else was there. All in all, the area is worth a visit, but there are certainly better hotels with a better price-performance ratio.

There is still room for improvement here. An outdated hotel that needs to be spruced up. A wellness weekend was advertised, but it wasn't enough. The 90 degree sauna could easily reach more than 75 degrees, the steam sauna was at room temperature. Breakfast ok. Food at the buffet was only lukewarm on both days. The staff were always friendly and helpful.

The staff is very friendly and helpful, but the food wasn't really good...you expect a little more from a 4 star hotel, we would be very disappointed. The wellness area is nice and clean, but far too cold to linger and relax there.

The hotel is divided into two buildings. The reception and restaurant are in the main building, and the rooms and the spa area are in the annex building, 2 houses away. The rooms are very small and generally quite old with dark blue carpeting and terracotta colored walls. The bed is really very comfortable. If the shower in the room is not used for a long time, the water that comes out smells musty for the first minute. The spa area is super small, we were a little disappointed because the hotel is declared a wellness hotel. There is a pool, 2 saunas, a steam room and a relaxation room. The pool is quite small but nicely done. The relaxation room is also very nice and relaxing. However, the choice of music in the entire spa area + relaxation room was strange. One day there was relaxing music with commercials between songs. On the second day there were, among other things, hits. The two saunas each have two buttons with which you could make an infusion or an infusion with scent. For one thing, the scent bottles were almost empty and the scent smelled musty. On the other hand, the scent spray function didn't work. The steam bath was way too hot on the first day, you had the feeling you were burning in there. We told reception on the first evening about the steam bath and the scents. The next day the steam room was completely off. Nothing was changed about the scents. Very unfortunate. The food in the restaurant was again delicious, both breakfast and dinner.

We had booked the winter wellness package, for this price you get everything you need. The staff was very friendly and tried hard, the food in the form of a buffet was completely sufficient and there was something for everyone. The location is great. The room is a bit older, but very clean. The sauna area is small but okay. We will recommend it to others.

This hotel has a lot of room for improvement! I would be interested to know how this hotel achieved 4 stars. It can't be due to the condition of the rooms, the service of the staff or the quality of the food. About the room: When you shower, the bathroom is flooded with water, even though the water doesn't really come out of the shower head with any pressure. The shower curtain is an absolute misconstruction, too short and too narrow. The hairdryer is a disaster, you have to be afraid that it won't burn through your hand. The cold and hot water is swapped at the faucet. The furnishings in the rest of the room leave a lot to be desired, no possibility of making coffee or tea. One half of the bed has wheels that you can't lock, which means it moves when you turn around, for example. About the service: At check in everything was still ok. However, when we asked, we could have been made aware that we had not booked half board for our additional stay but only with breakfast, so we were missing dinner. You won't find a polite and well-chosen choice of words from the service staff. Unfortunately, the service staff is very inattentive and sometimes very clumsy and unfriendly in their statements. An example: when we asked for a card, we actually received a card for 2 people, even though the waitress had 2 cards with her. This happened to us for two days. The drinks were overpriced. Overall, the only bright spot in this hotel was the very helpful chambermaids and 3 young men on duty. A waiter who is probably a little higher in rank would desperately need training in behavior and personnel management! The chefs do a good job, but unfortunately it doesn't go down 100% at the buffet because the hot dishes are rather cold and the vegetables are either overcooked or too hard. The salads, on the other hand, were really great. Labeling of the dishes is poor. For breakfast there was a place that was only called coffee on paper, because one of the coffee machines was more broken than whole. Here too, the warm dishes were lukewarm. The buffet area is too small for the number of guests to be served. The wellness area was clean but too small when there are more guests on site, the swimming pool was too cold. All in all, the price-performance ratio is not balanced. We will not recommend this hotel or visit it again.

The hotel is a bit old. The view of the castle is great. The wellness area is really nice though. Unfortunately, the sauna area only opens at 1 p.m. This makes it very crowded. Breakfast is great, dinner unfortunately not. All the employees are super friendly.

Etwas in die Jahre gekommenes Hotel, Zimmer könnten saniert werden. Ansonsten sauber und freundlich. Nur das Essen am Buffet war mehr so kalte Küche.
