The view of the Moselle, Cochem with its historic backdrop, and the castle is fantastic. Comfort is less so. The hotel has limitations: the balconies are very narrow and cramped. The wellness area in the building next door is only accessible by road.

We booked a package deal. Great room and top location. We'd be happy to come back.

We had a junior suite at the Triton, which was really comfortable and spacious, especially the large balcony. The beds were great, otherwise it's just an Eifel feel with a new bathroom featuring a whirlpool tub. The room was immaculately clean ***** Check-in and check-out were excellent, and they even accepted criticism. The wellness area was okay. There weren't many visitors there during our stay, and we had peace and quiet. The breakfast was excellent; anyone complaining here has only themselves to blame. We had half board, and it was awful. So, what we experienced on two evenings didn't do the hotel justice. Half an hour after the buffet opened, quite a few items were gone and hadn't been replaced. The quality... I don't want to judge, because the chef managed to murder the spaetzle... . The service staff was excellent and extremely friendly... a big compliment to the trainee... who took on the criticism of the food. Since we booked the hotel with half board, we're unfortunately deducting two stars! I would recommend booking the hotel with breakfast only; there are plenty of good restaurants.

A beautifully located hotel with excellent service. We felt very comfortable. The food in the hotel restaurant is excellent, but the organization of access to the buffet is a bit inconvenient. The path leads directly through the entrance area, which sometimes leads to unnecessary queues.

Everything is fine, clean, spacious. Breakfast well taken care of. Only downside: wellness leaves a lot to be desired, swimming pool was cold, steam bath did not work and foot bath was not clean. All skin flakes in the bath

We were there recently with the family for the weekend. The hotel is in a great location. It's only a 10-minute walk to the city. The hotel is well maintained and has some modern rooms. Room service was great. Unfortunately, what we didn't like so much was the service at dinner. Here we asked for a dry wine that is not sour, not sweet. We thought you should know your way around an area like this... unfortunately we were brought a lovely wine, which we also shared. Unfortunately, we were not offered any new wine or a sip to try. So that we are satisfied...only when asked. Unfortunately, I think it doesn't belong in such a wine region. The buffet was very varied and always tasty for vegetarian lovers.

Hotel with a beautiful view and great location, tasty breakfasts... In addition, the reception staff does not meet any requests and even ignores people.. no air conditioning in the room on the sunny fifth floor.. the double bed, which is not a double bed, slides sideways and forwards at night. . Wi-Fi that cannot be connected, steam sauna that smells of fungus and has no steam, the price does not match what the hotel offers

Very good experience for a one-night stay at Brixiade. Room 406 with view of Moselle and castle...very beautiful. The room was spotless, clean, recent and well equipped except for the TV which offers 70 German channels...but hey, we're not there for such a short time to watch TV. Really very well stocked, varied and good quality lunch. It is true that without knowledge of German, you sometimes find yourself in difficulty in the hotel, although this is not insurmountable. I highly recommend the hotel and also the location close to the town, 10 minutes on foot, but quiet and with a view of the castle.

Cochem is a picturesque town on the Moselle. The hotel is located on the Moselle promenade on the quiet side

Swimming pool is two houses away, too small for swimming. Noise can be heard from 6 a.m. onwards when the window is tilted. At the breakfast buffet we had to ask again and again for cups or spoons. Drinks are overpriced. Food mostly ready-made products or frozen goods.

Great location of the hotel, unfortunately the rooms are outdated, old furniture and a small balcony. The hotel is also older, lots of dark wood in the lobby and bar. Staff was very friendly!! Unfortunately you always had to ask for the card or the price, which we found very annoying!! The rooms were very clean!! The location of the hotel was very good, you could do a lot of things on foot. Unfortunately there weren't many parking spaces at the hotel and the underground car park was fully booked. The breakfast was good 👍 the evening buffet could be improved a bit. Price performance was okay.

Unfortunately, the room was not at all like the pictures. When we checked in, the person at the reception said you could pay at checkout. 15 minutes later, another employee asked us to pay straight away. Then lamps were defective and they wanted to replace them the next day. These were unchanged when we left.

4 stars? Not really. Our experience at this hotel was disappointing. The reception was unfriendly and there was no parking, resulting in an hour-long search. Very incomprehensible with a room price of over €400 per night. The consideration of my husband's dietary requirements (gluten-free) due to celiac disease left a lot to be desired despite prior arrangement via email. The bread for breakfast was hard and inedible and the selection at the evening buffet was also quite sad and my husband is really not demanding! The service was disinterested and you didn't feel particularly welcome on Easter Sunday! We are restaurateurs ourselves and really have a lot of understanding, but here you can only be speechless when it comes to the quality of service! This hotel is absolutely not recommended!

Excellent hotel in Cochem with a good breakfast and dinner and a beautiful view of Cochem and the Moselle. Excellent base for trips in the area on foot, by bike or by car.

Nice hotel, friendly staff, delicious food. As a firefighter, I had some serious questions about fire safety: the hotel does not have a complete fire alarm system, but only some smoke detectors. The hotel rooms do not have self-closing doors, and the few fire-resistant doors (restaurant and parking garage) are in the open position by means of a wooden wedge under the door.

Excellent service, beautiful rooms and delicious food. The cava in our room for my birthday was also surprising and thoughtful.

The hotel is right in front of the Kawazoe road, which was very convenient for me to walk my dog. The room was clean and the food was good. I'd give it about 80 points. I'd definitely come back and stay here again.

The hotel is fantastically located right on the waterfront with a great view of the castle, simply wonderful. The hotel itself is very nice, with clean rooms, a bit small, and the windows are a bit dated, so you can hear everything outside. The sauna is very comfortable, beautifully decorated, and the music is soft. The service at the reception was very good, competent, and helpful. Unfortunately, dinner was very slow, inattentive, and disinterested, but luckily not everyone was. A couple of young girls were super friendly and quick. The food was good, with something for every taste. Unfortunately, the coffee was very weak. But the area was like a fairytale.

Room: Clean, but traces of insects on the wall. Facilities ok, not high quality or luxurious, but sufficient for a city trip. Buffet was OK. Location is great, beautiful view of the city and the Reichsburg, easy to reach the city center on foot.

We had a lovely stay in great weather. The sauna is far too small for the 2 large hotels - there was little going on on Sundays and we were able to enjoy the sauna. The food was buffet style - it was good and there was a lot of choice. The location directly on the Moselle is great.

What we didn't like so much was the buffet...It was set up too tightly, there was a long line in front of the buffet...The room attendants were very friendly and accommodating. Service at the table was sometimes very moody. At breakfast the tables were not set again from 9 a.m....some guests were not served so nicely early in the morning. ..Reception was very nice and accommodating.

Very nice Moselle hotel. Our room was very large with a balcony. The view of the Reichsburg was sensational and very romantic. The food was very tasty and more than enough. The only thing that still needs to be worked on is the coffee at breakfast. If the buffet were changed, the long queue would no longer be there. Unfortunately the food was cold by the time we got to our table. The staff is really qualified and everyone knows their job only too well. We felt very comfortable and would definitely like to come back again.

A very beautiful location with a stunning view of the castle. We felt very comfortable and lacked nothing. A huge plus is that dogs are welcome at the hotel, and you can take your four-legged friend for a walk on the beautiful hiking trails that are located right next to the hotel. We had a fantastic weekend that couldn't have been better and will definitely be back. Not to mention that this was our fourth time staying at the Hotel Brixiade. And this time, too, we experienced that the quality and service are always at the same high level and have nothing to do with luck or coincidence. Bravo 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Evaluation Hotel Brixiade Cochem The Wellness Hotel Brixiade in Cochem recommended by the agent “Kurz mal weg” was mediocre and not presented correctly and honestly in the advertising. First of all, the hotel is on the other side of the Moselle. This wasn't mentioned in the advertising. Taxi costs to Cochem over the second bridge (the first bridge is being repaired) €14. Booked that away for a short time. Room had no balcony and a window onto a terrible courtyard. Surcharge for the room with balcony and view €100. Wooden ceilings without impact sound insulation, the raging exhaust system in the bathroom. The wellness area is not in the Hotel Brixiade, but in a neighboring hotel. You receive a bathing bag with a bathrobe and can then walk across the street to the other hotel. The wellness area there consists of a relaxation room where the spring repairs were carried out next door. Next to it is an indoor swimming pool without windows with two saunas (the steam sauna was broken). This wellness stay Rating it with 4 stars is a joke.

All in all a very nice short vacation. Unfortunately, when booking in advance you cannot tell that there are 2 hotels which are 100 meters apart.

The hotel seems to be drawing on its old charm, floors are worn out, corners and edges in the stairwell need to be renewed. Otherwise there are nice things, the view of the Reichsburg during breakfast and the nice flyer for the day at the breakfast table. In my opinion, the swimming pool is not recommended, much too small, as are the saunas. But probably a matter of taste.

A well-kept hotel with a few negative points. The room we had was very clean and nicely decorated. Except for the room doors, everything seemed new. The bathroom was big enough. The shower access is a bit tight for larger people. The temperature when showering could be warmer. The breakfast buffet really has everything your heart desires. We were sometimes surprised at the service. You were asked, and more often than not, to throw away the leftovers from your plate into the trash can on the table. When we asked why, we were told that she would then have less work... At dinner, we had a menu every day, you had to hurry so that the plate wasn't taken away if there was still something on it...... (written a bit exaggeratedly, but there wasn't much missing). Unfortunately, there was no option to choose the main course from the menu, which would be nice if that were changed. Since a buffet is also offered in the evening, which depends on the booking, this wouldn't be a problem. The wines are first class and not overpriced. The bar, run somewhat carelessly, is not particularly appealing. No drinks menu, no decorations on the tables or the buffet, which all seemed very uncomfortable. The wellness area with a beautiful and well-kept pool is great. The sauna area was clean with 3 different saunas. Unfortunately one was broken during our stay and the option for an infusion on the other two didn't work either. However, you could still relax and enjoy your stay. Maybe what I've listed won't be a problem for everyone, but as a guest you want to be a guest and feel completely comfortable, which can also be read in the hotel statement. All in all, there were little things that you don't have to worry about and you can definitely recommend it. Since we had already communicated our criticism on the day of departure and it was received warmly, we think there could be a change.

We felt very comfortable and very well looked after with you at Christmas, thank you very much for that. Everyone in service was warm and friendly, and special requests were also happy to be fulfilled. The price-performance ratio for a half-board booking via various portals for 2 nights and 2 people from Friday to Sunday is okay for around 360 euros, even if you have no interest in wellness, which brings us to the main topic: the hotel itself advertises its spa area goes beyond the green clover, but is far from meeting these expectations, because the capacities of loungers, saunas, changing rooms and lockers are not even sufficient for 10% of the guests full occupancy; In addition, you have to change from "Brixiade" across the street to "Triton", which, depending on the weather, isn't that fun, especially since you don't have enough storage space on site for any jackets, a change of clothes, etc. has. The hotel rooms are nice and clean, although very noisy; The complaint is that there is no soap tray or anti-slip mat in the smooth shower bathtub. I don't particularly find it particularly quiet (original sound/hotel) when the nearby church bells ring at 8°° on Saturday mornings and then the fire brigade siren howls at 12°°. The staff is friendly and helpful, the breakfast and dinner buffets are perfectly fine.

We weren't hotel guests, but we were able to eat there. The buffet was manageable but well coordinated. We would also visit the hotel as guests one day.

This hotel impresses with its top location! You should definitely book a room with a view of the Moselle... Unfortunately, all of the furnishings are getting old, but it is clean. The wellness area is located in the Hotel Triton and does not correspond 100% to the beautiful pictures. But you get what you need... a swimming pool, a steam bath, a 90 degree sauna, a 60 degree sauna... (another one was out during our visit) You should definitely make sure to get pro Have the person give you a locker key (because it's very small)! A nice touch is the wellness bags you can borrow (slippers, bathrobe, sauna towel, shower towel). The breakfast is rich. The staff tried very hard and friendly.

It's a shame that there was only a buffet on Christmas Eve, it wasn't Christmassy.

The location is beautiful, nice view of the Moselle and the castle. Unfortunately, there was almost nothing to do in Cochem, it was a bit of a dead end. The staff was friendly, both at reception, restaurant staff and chamber maids. The beds were very nice, the carpet on the floor and seeing a sign hanging that dogs can also be inside horrified us. There was a very bad sewage smell in the room, which was already "camouflaged" by leaving water in the sink. So we constantly left the balcony door open and then the air was available. We should have reported it, but we only did so upon departure.

Very nice, cozy hotel. Staff very friendly and helpful. Room was okay, except for the view. This one was in a backyard, on a porch. There were a lot of cigarette butts on it. The breakfast buffet was excellent. There are no wishes left unfulfilled. So gladly again at any time.

Like last year, we were very satisfied again. There are small comments about service and the rooms. There were 6 of us sitting in an area that was very cold. Otherwise, the service and the friendliness of the staff were particularly noteworthy. It was noticed in the rooms that a fan and a shower hose in the bathroom were defective. Friends of ours had a noticeable smell in their room. We were very satisfied and could recommend the hotel to others

Unfortunately, the room was not as described (I couldn't find an upscale atmosphere as described.) The buffet in the evening was not worth 4 stars. It had the feel of a canteen and was only lukewarm. At the buffet in the morning the scrambled eggs were already cold at 8 a.m. What I would like to mention positively was the check in. The employee was very friendly and explained everything well. It's a shame I would have expected more from a 4 star hotel.

Well-maintained, but somewhat outdated hotel near the city center of Cochem. The rooms are fine, everything is clean and from the balcony you have a very nice view of the castle and the other side of the river. The staff is friendly and helpful. However, the poor organization is particularly evident at the buffet. Things were often missing. You got the impression that food was only refilled once and if you arrived late you were out of luck. Unworthy of a four star hotel. When asked, the staff simply disappeared. And the wellness area doesn't actually deserve the name either. Basically just a real sauna, a rather small relaxation room and everything is a bit old. Needs a renovation. In addition, it is not really clear from the website that there are 2 buildings that are not directly next to each other. This means you always have to go out onto the street if you want to eat. All in all ok, but value for money is just not right. I've stayed in better hotels for half the price. We cannot recommend it.

Had a nice room with a view of the vineyards in the back yard at the Triton. Unfortunately the elevator was right next to it, but otherwise it was quiet. Heaters worked straight away and very well! Breakfast was very sufficient, with a view of the Reichsburg, hot drinks and vineyard peach secco included. For a deposit you could get a bag, towels and a bathrobe from reception and then go to the spa in the Triton. In the saunas you could add your own infusions. Sauna area is textile-free, swimming pool is not. Everything was very pleasant and clean.

Great location with a view of the old town and Reichsburg, 15 minutes walk to the old town, very friendly staff, perfect location for cycling and hiking tours, very rich buffet in the morning and evening. However, the room smelled latently of cleaning products.

Food, rooms, wellness...everything was top. The mattress in my room (33) ... could be replaced. Didn't do my back any good. I'm still very satisfied.

Top location, great view, great service, delicious food!!! Unfortunately caught an outdated shower cubicle with a falling shower head and falling side jets. Why there are bathroom scales in the bathroom (?), I have no idea. I wouldn't book it exclusively as a wellness holiday either, it's too small and too narrow. We would book it again at any time. For us it was a nice stay.

No pastries or the like. available with coffee. The ordered coffee and cappuccino took a long time to finally arrive. When it was brought, the melted whipped cream spilled over the cup and saucer. "It's been walked over," said the waiter, who wasn't too pleasant. It remained that observation, and drank the cappuccino from a dripping cup. The man was standing outside smoking. If things go like this in Cochem, we will book a hotel somewhere else for 2 weeks. The decoration in the hall promised cosiness. The management did not go along with this. So we left and found a nice hotel in Trier. Tip for the staff: you never know when someone who plans to book a hotel will first check the level of service and hospitality.

The hotel is in a very nice location, but is already showing its age. The staff is nice, but there are not enough of them. Unfortunately, the sauna area can be reached via a road of approx. 30m, which is a bit uncomfortable. The wellness area itself is beautifully designed, but the saunas were too cold and the steam sauna was not in use at all.

Great hotel Stayed in Triton and had room 22. This room had a bath and large terrace and there was also a refrigerator. Staff was super friendly and helpful. The food was also very tasty and extensive. We will definitely come back!!
