NENI Berlin in Berlin

For me, there's no reason to come back. The service was good, but the food was truly mediocre. I've never experienced a dish that tasted completely oversalted or barely seasoned on a plate.

It’s always an extraordinary experience to have lunch/dinner at NENI.

Great view, but you also get that from the Kolhoff Tower. Otherwise, not worth it.

I can only advise against it. The food was anything but delicious. It's a loveless convenience food, with no consideration for allergies or intolerances. The server comment: It's all pre-prepared and nothing can be done about it. What kind of "kitchen" is this? The Wagyu kebab (fried to death) could have been used for slices. The "schnitzel" had hardly any meat, was dripping with frying oil, and was completely oversalted. The sweet potato fries were soggy. I only ate a forkful of the main course and skipped the rest for the sake of my health. The server comment: Was it too much? When I pointed out that it simply didn't taste good at all, they didn't ask any questions. I've certainly had good Israeli and Levantine food before, but I'll certainly never eat it here or at the other restaurants in this overpriced chain again. I get unhealthy fast food at KFC, etc., too.

Absolutely incredible! I think it was the best food I’ve ever had in my life. Our waiter Fredrick was absolutely amazing, so attentive, so patient and super nice! The food was absolutely delicious, with different notes of flavors and fresh ingredients, absolutely wow! I will definitely come back and look for their other locations around Europe!

Delicious (but expensive) food in a great (but loud) location. However, the service is getting worse and slower. No server feels responsible for you, and everything takes a very long time. Given the prices and the otherwise chic ambiance, you'd expect something different.

A beautiful restaurant with a great view of the zoo and the Memorial Church. The decor is inviting. It can seat a lot of guests, and that's where the small problems begin. It only takes two tables of yelling tourists for it to become difficult to have a conversation. The noise level on our evening was almost unbearable. The service was there, but not as attentive as we would have liked. In other words, they could have sold us a lot more than two bottles of water and a bottle of wine. If you're willing to go along with all that, it can certainly turn into a great evening. The food itself was good, no complaints whatsoever. Beautiful flavors, the menu not overly oppressive.

Yesterday was my first and last time at Neni Berlin. It's incredibly loud and doesn't even have a cafeteria atmosphere. We sat at a table for four and had to shout at each other to even hear each other. This is abysmal and has nothing to do with the original idea of ​​"NENI"! We just ate and drank what we ordered first and then fled this inhospitable place. Even outside on the busy main street, it was quieter than in this dump. Someone here wants to be hip, and enough people fall for it. I can only advise everyone against it.

In terms of location and view, the place is amazing. Quality of was also on the high level. However offered food is a bit too simple for given prices and you realise that to came there mostly for atmosphere and viw and less to satisfy your gourmet thirst.

We were here for a drink only (monkeybar was closed). Very sweet workers. Beautiful view. The cappuccino was nice but the milk was not very well foamed, so could have been better.

I ordered the Tel Avivian schnitzel for myself. Even the small portion seemed inappropriate for the relatively high price. I didn't receive a side dish, which you'd expect with a main course. What really bothered me, however, was that the schnitzel wasn't cooked (!). Although it was deep-fried on the outside, it was still raw on the inside. I admit that this experience left a lasting impression on me. I wouldn't want to come back for more.

The quality of the food is good. But if you order the Balagan, it's for a maximum of two people. After that, the quantity drops rapidly. So either a mistake by the kitchen or intentional. But for four people, you'll have about the same amount as for two.

Don't come here if you don't like hummus. Their interpretation of "Mediterranean" food is to just put cheap hummus on half their food, even when it doesn't make any sense! Their falafel and kebab are burnt too. Views are very pretty, but also service can take up to 20 minutes to bring a bottle of kola.

I had reserved a table at Neni for my boyfriend and my anniversary. It was supposed to be a very special evening. Since we had already loved the Monkey Bar, we wanted to try Neni as well. Without a doubt, a great location with a magnificent view. The only thing that disappointed us was the service! We were assigned a table, which was fine. It took some time before anyone even came and brought us the menu or wine list. The server in charge kept walking past us without even looking at us. Only after we asked did they bring us the menu. We ordered. The starter came BEFORE the drinks, and the main courses were not worth the money. They were also served on crockery that I'm used to from camping. So nothing was lovingly prepared, etc. After the meal, only one plate was cleared away and the other left. Very disappointing. We really expected more!

We recently had dinner at Neni and were unfortunately disappointed with the food. The quality of the food had declined compared to before. The staff were also very inconsistent. Our waiter was in a bad mood, which didn't make our stay any more pleasant. We also felt unwelcome at reception, as if the place could have been better. However, there were also friendly staff, which is a positive. Overall, the visit was unsatisfactory, which is why we decided not to go back. Therefore, we are only giving it three stars.

The floor manager was rude and unwelcoming like a military officer. I had a reservation for outdoor seating, but when we arrived, I asked if we could sit inside if it was cooler. After checking the terrace, we preferred to sit outside. However, the floor manager insisted we could only sit in the sun, not in the shade, because the shaded tables were “for people with reservations.” I explained that I had a reservation for outside, but he still refused to seat us in the shade. As for the food, it was just average. Nothing special or unique. For the price, I expected much better.

We had a booking for outside seating, but the manager claimed that all outside tables in the shade were booked! So we were seated inside. The food was very basic despite the high-quality ingredients they used, small portions, and low value for money. Store-bought pita bread and the burnt onions in the food were the highlight.

The biggest impression is the stunning view from the window, which is the front wall of the restaurant hall. The food is Israeli, and of very high quality. But... it's an acquired taste. :-) In any case, visiting this restaurant is a very vivid impression. I definitely recommend it!

A very nice place. We were tourists passing through and felt that the servers were neglecting us. Otherwise, the food was good, except for the falafels, which were overcooked and rock hard. It was still a great experience. 🙂

We were invited there as a surprise, and that's exactly what it was: a thoroughly positive surprise. Delicious food and attentive, friendly staff. Weather permitting, be sure to reserve an outdoor seating area. It's nice and quiet there—apart from the noise of the big city—and you have great views (10th floor!). My only criticism: the noise level inside is unfortunately quite high. Reservations are generally recommended. Another plus: The Monkey Bar is also on the same floor. 🍹

We had three kinds of hummus. It was really delicious. Unfortunately, there was a bit too little bread with it. But you could order more. The view and the ambiance were incredibly beautiful. Of course, you pay for the view. Main courses would have cost well over 20 euros. The hummus was 20 euros. But that was to be expected... Overall, it's definitely worth going there.

The waiters are amazing: one Neapolitan, one Greek, and one from Kurdistan. Young, friendly, and attentive. The food is good. Excellent value for money. We arrived at 1:00 PM and left at 6:00 PM, satisfied and happy. Wonderful views. A great choice.

After a long time, I visited Neni again and noticed that it has declined considerably. Six of us met there for a family birthday dinner, and the service was very sloppy and unfocused. For almost all orders, we had to ask when our food would be served. The quality of the food was still very high, but the surrounding atmosphere was not enjoyable. Furthermore, the acoustics in the room were extremely loud, making it impossible to have a proper conversation. I am not willing to pay the price charged for these restrictions in the future.

This place is a MUST if you are visiting Berlin. Make sure you book in advance as it can get packed sometimes. Food is great and the views are amazing.

We've been to neni many times and decided not to return today. The food was mediocre, more Indian than Israeli, and the service was abysmal: unfriendly, inattentive, slow—simply disappointing. The reception itself was enough to make you turn around. I think they're just resting on their laurels. What a shame.

We had the Balagan menu for two, and it was truly delicious. The service was also good, and the view was beautiful—all around, a fantastic experience.

We've been here several times; the food is always delicious and simply special, but also very expensive. Service was very poor, inattentive, and unfriendly, especially if you apparently don't order expensive drinks and additional appetizers. Very disappointing. We had to wait over 10 minutes to pay, even though the restaurant was about a third full.

The location is great, but the food is disappointing. We know the restaurant from Vienna, and it was also rather average. We wanted to try it again. There's definitely room for improvement; we had the impression that the kitchen was resting on its laurels... The concept needs to be rethought; there are more innovative addresses for Leventine cuisine these days...

Restaurant Neni is located on the 10th floor of the 25 Hour Bikini hotel – where we had a room. You take the elevator up there. Once inside, you can enjoy a magnificent view of Berlin. Weather permitting, you can also sit on the rooftop terrace. The decor is cozy, trendy, and stylish. We chose a few starters to share, and they were delicious. The flavors were truly vibrant, surprising, and well-seasoned. The two main courses we chose were less impressive. I should give the main courses a second chance. Four stars overall for the starters, atmosphere, and service.

Wonderful view over Berlin and the zoo. The roof terrace invites you to spend some lovely hours overlooking Berlin. We received a very unfriendly welcome at the reception desk, as it was already quite late, but the kitchen was still open for another hour and a half. We were given a lovely window seat and a very friendly waiter who served us the house wine, which tasted very pleasant. The best part was the dessert with sesame ice cream. Truly a treat for the palate. Drinks were well chilled and the food was at a very good temperature. The waiter was quite busy and was running himself ragged, so it took forever for the drinks to arrive at the table. The unpleasant gentleman at the reception desk repeatedly interfered with the waiters, and the atmosphere up front turned into loud arguments and not very nice, loud, and nasty remarks. It became very unpleasant to sit there, as he treated a waiter unfairly for a mistake at the next table and even angrily chased him all the way to the back. The two stars are one for the delicious food and the second for our friendly waiter. If you wanted to go to a bar in the evening, you only had to go to the rooftop bar, which was very crowded and loud, but also offered a great view. The restaurant should discuss how they treat each other internally, because that doesn't belong in front of the guests. A bit more expensive.

We were there with a group of 12 people to celebrate a birthday – it was simply fantastic! The food was incredibly delicious, the atmosphere very pleasant, and the service excellent. A special thank you to the manager, Mr. Meng, who patiently answered all our questions and requests, and to our wonderful waiter from Armenia, who looked after us with friendliness and attention throughout the evening. We felt very comfortable and will definitely be back. Highly recommended!

Great view, lousy food – that, unfortunately, perfectly sums up my visit to Neni Berlin. The location is undeniably impressive. The view over Berlin is spectacular – but that's about it. The food is a complete disappointment: tiny portions, bland in taste, and completely overpriced. My chicken was partially raw – an absolute no-go, especially given the prices they charge here. The service? While friendly, it was hopelessly overwhelmed. Despite only a moderate crowd, everything took forever, empty glasses were overlooked, and guests simply didn't feel well looked after. The bottom line is that the whole concept feels like a typical hype place: lots of show, little substance. Anyone looking for truly good oriental-inspired food will be much happier elsewhere in Berlin – at better prices, with better service, and without half-cooked chicken. Overall rating: Not recommended.

The amazing main course I had the first time was no longer available! The amazing starter my boyfriend had last time was also no longer available. And the service? Nothing compared to last time! Unfortunately. :( You felt like you were being brushed off. Our waiter was there quickly, but he was also quick to leave again. Not a very welcoming feeling! Also, the "greeting from the kitchen" – bread with olives and yogurt, etc. – was only available to select guests.

Incredibly good food! Definitely try the Balagan menu, a perfectly coordinated selection of all NENI dishes. One small downside: Our seating preference when making the reservation was ignored, nor was the fact that we were there for a birthday. Otherwise, everything was perfect!

The food is excellent. The service is unfortunately inattentive and uncaring, which is a real shame. All the tables are free, and you're seated in the middle of the room. Why? You have to ask twice to get another table. Thanks for the tip? No thanks. Incidentally, this happened on two consecutive days. So it's hardly an isolated incident.

My friend and I (two women) came for lunch and a city view - we got neither. The host dumped us in a random spot while better (and clearly more desirable) tables sat empty. When I asked to move, he reluctantly did but still not by the window. Couples, men, families? Straight to the best spots… The waiter ignored my Asian friend, only spoke to me, messed up her drink order, then rudely told her to keep the wrong one. The bill was wrong twice. No apology - no tip and he stormed off. Worst service I’ve had in years - sexist, borderline racist, and absolutely not worth it.

Seven of us went there for dinner on a Thursday. Lots of glass windows, great view, poor acoustics, very loud. The staff seemed stressed, the service was poor; we felt rushed off, not served. For example, our dishes weren't served at the same time! Constantly changing waiters, drinks forgotten, wordless goodbyes, no "thank you, goodbye." The food is interesting and good, but not outstanding. Overall, I think Neni is overrated and the prices are completely inadequate.

I'll post my review for a visit in May. Beautiful ambiance and very attentive and friendly service. Unfortunately, the food didn't impress me at all. Nothing special, and overpriced. So, poor value for money, if you ignore the ambiance.

Don't waste your time. Arrived on time, but had a 10-minute wait. Constant noise, stifling heat, tiny tables... and a visibly overwhelmed staff. Fortunately, the food is excellent. Opt for takeout to truly enjoy it.

A fantastic experience. I can only recommend everyone to visit one of Haya Molcho's restaurants. High above the rooftops of Berlin, with views of the Zoological Garden, the Memorial Church, and more, a fantastic ambiance has been created here. The culinary offerings are truly a masterpiece, and the service is attentive and consistently professional.

The food was good, but definitely a bit on the expensive side. The portions varied considerably. I had a chicken salad that was quite filling, while my friend's main course was rather small. Anyone expecting a nice view will unfortunately be disappointed. All you see are trees or a rather industrial, rather unsightly side. But otherwise, the atmosphere is really very pleasant.

What we ordered was delicious, the atmosphere was pleasant, the restaurant was uncrowded, yet we asked to be by the window for a good view of the city, and since there were only two of us, they wouldn't let us change tables. The window table had seats for four. I thought it was a rude gesture. We initially ordered signature dishes that weren't on the menu, but they didn't have them available, so the menu had limited options. However, what we were served was delicious.

Perfect place for excellent food with an incredible view. On the 10th floor, you can enjoy diverse cuisine and panoramic views of Berlin and the zoo. Very suitable for vegans and vegetarians. Elevator access.

0 stars. Hasn’t happened before, but I personally felt that they treated non-german guests worse. We waited 15-20 mins, and kept calling out to waiters (who kept pretending they didn’t see or hear us) to even get a menu. The English group next to us had the same experience trying to get someone for the bill. Our plate of Crisp potatoes had a piece of plastic in it, when reported, they shrugged it off saying it was just salt. Otherwise the food was average like always. But the location is the highlight anyways. The ambience is great.

A truly beautiful restaurant right above the rooftops of Berlin. It offers a beautiful view over the zoo and Breitscheidplatz. At first, I was a bit skeptical about the food on offer, as I'd never visited a restaurant like that before. Luckily, my wife persuaded me, and we first went with my parents-in-law, and then a few weeks later, just the two of us. Beautifully presented and delicious! I can highly recommend the menu and wine pairing. It's a bit pricey, but there's a huge selection, and you definitely won't go home hungry. The photos I took are from this menu. Our two waiters were also very friendly and looked after us very well. Fresh water was constantly brought, and everything else was great. The only minor issue: everything in the dining room seemed a bit cold to me, but that's just my personal experience and doesn't mean I wouldn't recommend NENI. Thank you so much for this wonderful evening!

Great atmosphere, but for the very high prices, the service should be more upfront, and for example, if you order a water flat rate, they shouldn't have to wait until you ask for a new bottle. The taste was good, although I expected more.

Disappointing Service We had lunch at NENI on June 21, 2025, at 3:30 p.m. The waiter was unfriendly and brought us the wrong (much more expensive) bill. We paid it by mistake. Later, he simply said the money would be refunded – no apology. To date, nothing has been refunded, despite several emails. Very disappointing.

On June 21, I received an incorrect bill for €150 at the restaurant – our meal actually only cost €70. I was promised on the spot that the difference would be refunded. Over two weeks have passed since then, and I've sent several emails and called – unfortunately, with no response. Very disappointing. I hope the restaurant finally responds through this channel! Excellent from start to finish. Gaya, our server not only provided outstanding service throughout our dinner, but every single recommendation was perfect. We order the tacos, wagu kebab, and knefah, and each dish excited my tastebuds.

We were very disappointed with this restaurant. The service left a lot to be desired from the start: We were greeted with grumpy faces, and although there were many free tables outside, we were refused an outdoor seat without any explanation. It was also very noisy inside. We originally wanted to eat there, but after this reception, we decided to just have a coffee and a beer. The cappuccino was brought to us without comment and without sugar. The beer came in a glass with a chipped rim – my friend even hurt his lip on it. When we pointed this out to the waitress, she just replied indifferently, "Oh, sorry..." – and then simply handed us the full bill. Really? When I asked if we should actually pay, she simply said she would bring us a new beer – even though the old one was still untouched on the table. We declined, didn't pay, left everything, and left the restaurant. A very unpleasant experience. The service is absolutely unacceptable. Not recommended.

A truly beautiful restaurant. With a fantastic view of the Tiergarten park. The waiters are very friendly and attentive. But most importantly, the food is incredibly delicious. Neni is always worth a visit.

The appetizers and desserts were okay to good, but the main courses were not to the liking of the entire group of 11 people. We had the set menu, as you can only choose that for a certain number of people. It was 58 euros per person, half price for children, but the amount served was "only" enough for the number of adults, which we found very surprising. The whole concept is high-end and correspondingly expensive, but the service left a lot to be desired. The waiters weren't unfriendly, but they weren't very accommodating either. For example, one of the waiters couldn't tell us the type of fish, but he didn't bother to ask the kitchen, which would have been a given for me. We had to wait a very long time for dessert, far too long, and when we were paying, the waiter, before we had even decided how much we wanted to tip, remarked, "You can tip," which resulted in a smaller meal than we had planned, as we found this very rude.

Beautiful restaurant with nice views towards the zoo on the left side and the city on the other. Food is more specific, with lots of spicies and ingredients we didn't know, so not for everyone. I liked the fried aubergine, but it was covered in a weird strong sauce and too much tahini for my taste. Most probably it's not bad, it may be a matter of taste. Felt a bit scammed by the waiter, as I ordered a bottle of still water for 2 people. He said a bottle of still water costs 7 EUR, while "flat water" costs 4,5 EUR. So we ordered the cheaper one, but then got charged double, 9 EUR in total for tap water, which is really pitifully.. Definitely overpriced place. Disliked the experience.

We were there for dinner and ordered both appetizers and main courses. The welcome and seating at the table went smoothly. Our waitress, Judith, immediately offered us water, which we would like to highlight as a positive. Unfortunately, the atmosphere in the service deteriorated as the meal progressed. When ordering, the staff member seemed rather lackluster – a quality that later continued in the communication. After the appetizer (which, by the way, was very tasty – NENI-style tacos), our plates were cleared without comment, without asking about our impressions or whether we were ready for the next course. Unfortunately, we had two significant criticisms of the main course: The Korean fried chicken was raw inside – which is not only unappetizing, but also a hygiene concern. Furthermore, the Wagyu kebab tasted distinctly of lamb, even though we were assured it was 100% beef upon request. This discrepancy was very irritating – and diminishes trust in communication and product transparency. The KFC was taken back, and they offered to remake it and serve us dessert on the house—which we consider an appropriate response. Due to the impression and our lack of appetite, we declined the new main course, but one of us still accepted dessert—and it was truly excellent (a sesame dessert, very good!). Overall, the evening was unfortunately disappointing. Despite the harmonious ambiance and a few culinary highlights, the experience was overshadowed by raw meat, poor communication, and a noticeable lack of motivation in the service. We hope this feedback will contribute to improvements—the potential is there, but more care and genuine hospitality are needed.

A very pleasant atmosphere, unique cuisine, and truly excellent service. A fantastic mix of different culinary influences. We loved it and would love to come back. It's also great that it's right next to the Monkey Bar, where you can enjoy a drink or two after a lovely dinner. The view over Berlin is also fantastic!
