We had a wonderful evening here! NENI Berlin is a fantastic restaurant with an exceptional atmosphere. The Mediterranean cuisine is truly outstanding – every dish was perfectly prepared and presented. The service was attentive and friendly, and the modern ambiance completes the experience. The location is also ideal, right in the heart of Berlin. I can highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants to enjoy authentic Mediterranean cuisine in an elegant setting. We will definitely be back!

We used to eat here every month because it was always great: come as you are, relaxed, quick, and always delicious. Lately, the quality has declined somewhat, but what we were served tonight was simply unacceptable. The bread wasn't fresh, the artichoke was burnt, the salmon was cooked without care and was too dry—just poor quality. Thanks, but that's it for the prices. On top of that, the staff seemed uninterested… Either the chef has left, or they're cutting corners on good ingredients and have lost interest. It's a real shame. We loved Neni.

Absolutely loved my experience at NENI. The atmosphere is vibrant yet cozy, the service is attentive without being overbearing, and the food is outstanding. We really enjoyed it. We chose the tasting menu, which allows you to sample a variety of dishes. We were surprised by the variety of flavors in the dishes. Truly fantastic. The service was also excellent; we received personal attention and were given plenty of time to talk to us.

High above the rooftops of Berlin, also lovely for non-Instagrammers. ;) From one side you can see into the Berlin Zoo. The food is delicious! And Pei is the best waitress.

If good food with a beautiful view puts a smile on your face, then this is the place for you. The food itself isn't exactly cheap, and the cooking times for the meat (I tried four different kinds) were far from ideal. The seasoning wasn't entirely convincing either (slightly oversalted), but it wasn't all bad. The bread and some of the sauces were very good. All in all, though, it remains an overpriced cafeteria with a slightly pretentious vibe and a good view.

Very disappointing. The wait was long, the staff unfriendly, and the food was cold and tasteless. It was absolutely not good value for money. Not recommended.

It was my first time at Neni and I love the concept, the philosophy, and especially the taste. The three of us shared various mezze and desserts, and next time I'll try one of the main courses <3 I deducted one star for the service because there were a few instances of longer waiting times, but this didn't detract from the overall impression.

Edit 2025: The staff seems to have gotten worse. Instead of 5 stars, I'm now giving it 3. Even with a reservation, we had to wait 10 minutes at the entrance. Then another 20 minutes just to be acknowledged. The staff was overwhelmed, slow, and inattentive – that might sound harsh, but at these prices, I simply expect better. The food, however, is still excellent. NENI in Berlin is practically a "must-stop" on any trip to Berlin – the location (on the roof of a relatively tall building, offering a panoramic view of half the city) is superb, the food is fantastic (I recommend the "Best of NENI," a very good selection across the entire menu), and the staff is very friendly. The decor and ambiance are very good, but it's not the place for a completely quiet evening, which might be due to the adjacent cocktail bar that shares a kitchen with NENI. All in all, a great evening, nothing to complain about. The refreshing Limonana, a mint and lime lemonade, is a recommended drink. You need to make a reservation beforehand; otherwise, you won't get in.

The food was undoubtedly delicious. While it didn't entirely suit my personal taste, the overall culinary concept was well-thought-out and successful. Unfortunately, this positive impression was almost completely ruined by the absolutely unacceptable service. Despite a reservation made months in advance, the tables were neither prepared nor set up upon our arrival. This only happened after we had already arrived – an extremely unprofessional start. The table itself was clean, but it wasn't cleaned even once between meals, dishes weren't cleared promptly, and crumbs were left unattended. The real low point came after just under an hour and 45 minutes when we were unexpectedly asked to vacate the table without any warning. We were simply told: "I have to collect your payment now; the table will be given away again shortly." No prior notice, no polite explanation, no attempt to resolve the situation amicably – instead, we felt like an intrusion into our own dining experience. The bottom line is this: however good the food was, such poorly organized, disrespectful, and inattentive service is simply unacceptable. It's a shame for what was actually a promising concept, which loses a significant amount of quality because of this experience.

A very nice location overlooking the zoo and the Tiergarten, offering interesting Levantine cuisine. However, it's very expensive and the service is somewhat disorganized. I would gladly return for a drink or for a special occasion, if only for the magnificent view.

The ambiance is visually appealing and modern, but feels more hip and club-like than cozy. The security presence at the entrance creates a somewhat distant feeling. The service is more on par with a mid-range hotel. Our drink order wasn't taken until about 30 minutes later, and the drinks arrived another 15 minutes after that. Overall, the service felt disorganized and inattentive. The cuisine is Middle Eastern. Those familiar with Syrian, Lebanese, or Persian cuisine will primarily recognize familiar flavors. The food was okay, but not particularly tasty or outstanding. The portions are rather small and quite expensive, which is likely due to the location. In conclusion: High prices, small portions, and a good location, but nothing special in terms of taste. More hype than quality. Okay once, but not worth repeating.

NENI definitely scores points with its beautiful view and very pleasant atmosphere. The view is truly special and invites you to linger. Unfortunately, I was disappointed with the food. The portions were extremely small – more like children's portions – and not worth the price. The taste was okay, but the quantity was so incredibly small that you wouldn't feel full afterward. It's a shame, because with slightly more generous portions, the restaurant could be much more appealing. It's fine for a drink and the view, but unfortunately not recommended for a meal.

You're immediately addressed informally, as if to say, "We're all one big family here!" But we're not. (Intrusiveness #1) After we ordered cocktails, the waiter took our wine glasses away, saying, "I'm sure you don't drink wine." While I was still saying, "Uh, I don't know, maybe I do?" the glasses and the waiter had already disappeared. (Intrusiveness #2) I asked, "Could I please have tonic water instead of Sprite in my non-alcoholic cocktail?" - The waiter's reply: "It doesn't taste good. Better to drink it as written." How does he know what I like? (Intrusiveness #3) Otherwise: The food is good, but not very good. A "herb salad" turns out to be a bunch of large-leaf parsley with one mint leaf in it. The non-alcoholic cocktails are a joke at absurdly high prices. Conclusion: NENI is pseudo. They hype and exaggerate everything they can. Prices are completely disproportionate to the quality. Service is abysmal. Only the ambiance and location are worth mentioning.

It was really delicious and a stylish restaurant. We'd gladly come back. However, it was a bit pricey for the portion sizes. Therefore, it would be a bit too expensive for me to go there regularly.

Neni is fine. I've eaten at far superior Israeli/middle-eastern restaurants in the states. I agree with other comments that the staff could care less, maybe this is because we are English speaking?? It will be best if you come here with at least one German speaking person. Our waiter was far more engaged with the German speakers. Listen, I get it, Americans are not for everyone 😉 Try it if you want. You won't miss anything of you skip it.

Unfortunately, there were very, very long waiting times at every step. We weren't asked once if everything was okay or if we wanted anything else to drink. Getting hold of someone to take our order was very difficult. We would have liked to order more, but in the end, we moved on, which is a real shame because the food itself was delicious!

An absolute disaster. I specifically ordered a vegetarian dish and was served chicken. After I complained, the dish was sent back to the kitchen. What happened next is unbelievable: the same dish came back again – this time with a piece of chicken on it. This isn't a minor mistake; it demonstrates complete disregard for the order and a lack of care in the kitchen. For vegetarians (and especially for people with dietary restrictions or beliefs), this is absolutely unacceptable. Incomprehensible and inexcusable. Never again. The waiter's only comment was, "These things happen." No way – not for that price, and not twice in a row.

The food was good, but not exceptional. The Israeli salad was bland, and I couldn't for the life of me identify any Israeli ingredients. The drink prices were in line with the prime location. I was cold, but it was still a pleasant stay in December.

The fried chicken salad for €20 looked promising at first glance, but was unfortunately very disappointing – it consisted of four tiny pieces of chicken and almost exclusively thick slices of cabbage. The tiny slices of carrot and pomegranate seeds arranged on top didn't offer much variety amidst all the cabbage underneath. The worst part, however, was that the salad was practically swimming in soy sauce and so salty that it made my tongue pucker (and I usually add salt to my food). The price for this overly salty appetizer-sized portion is simply unacceptable.

The food was fantastic. The variety of hummus was diverse and a true delight. The staff were incredibly friendly. You could tell they enjoyed serving their guests such wonderful dishes. The view over the entire city was the perfect finishing touch. This definitely won't be my last visit.

A wonderful view of Zoo Berlin and fantastic food too, we loved our visit. NENI have a few vegan options for Mezze all of which were delicious, we particularly enjoyed the falafels!

The food is absolutely delicious — a solid 5/5. The staff are very friendly, especially Sambou, who is truly one of the nicest people you can meet in a restaurant. Unfortunately, I’m giving a low rating because of the manager. His attitude was extremely rude, and he clearly doesn’t know how to deal with kids. It really affected the whole experience, which is a shame considering how good the food and the rest of the team are.

The service was terrible! No waiter cleared our plates or asked if we needed anything else. The food was NOT a highlight—you can find better at any street restaurant in Neukölln. I can only give stars for the view! Otherwise, never again!!

The food was good. The drinks (cocktails) varied greatly in quality. The non-alcoholic ones left much to be desired, while the alcoholic one was very good. The atmosphere in the restaurant is even worse than in the train station. Very loud and uncomfortable. The only positive is the view of Berlin. The unprofessional and inattentive service is an absolute disaster. The staff can't answer simple questions about the food, or rather, they don't understand them. All in all, a disappointing evening that not even the beautiful view could save.

A typical overhyped Berlin spot. The location is fantastic, but the food is ridiculously overpriced and doesn't stand out in terms of flavor. The service was also incredibly pushy, asking every five minutes if everything was alright. "Please don't keep bothering me while I'm eating!" If you want a great view of Berlin, go for it. But for good food, there are much better places.

The two of us wanted to have a drink and a chat after 10 p.m. on a Thursday. We were only allowed in the elevator to the 10th floor after some persuasion (we hadn't made a reservation), even though the restaurant upstairs was very sparsely occupied. We weren't allowed to simply sit down at one of the many free, unreserved tables but had to wait to be seated, as a matter of principle. However, we were then served coffee promptly. A 0.125 liter of Pinot Gris cost €9.50. I can't comment on the food. The best thing is the view over Berlin at night. We didn't find it particularly cozy; many tables are close together.

Save your money, here are hundreds of restaurants in the area worth your time, and this is certainly not one of them. Friends reserved a table for four, insisting it was a “cool” spot, but what awaited us felt more like a concept engineered by a corporate restaurant group: an atmosphere designed to look special while serving food that lands squarely in the realm of the forgettable. The noise level alone makes conversation nearly impossible; the dining room hums with a volume better suited to a nightclub than a meal. My appetizer, allegedly a beef tartare, arrived as a soft piece of toast crowned with a single tablespoon of what can only be described as mystery paste. I had to ask the waiter to confirm that this laughably small, unrecognizable portion was indeed what I ordered. Had I not been with company, I would have sent it back without hesitation. The main course didn’t redeem the evening. The minced lamb which looked like a spoonful of bolognese and a lonely salad leaf, an arrangement as uninspired as it was flavorless. The plate included something that may have been meant to resemble hummus, though it had none of the flavors typically associated with it. The only discernible taste was the green pepper, which delivered enough heat to do real damage to one of my friends. I enjoy spice, but this was more assault than accent. Even the “safe” order failed: my daughter’s salad with crispy chicken, normally a foolproof choice, arrived with chicken so dry and over salted it was difficult to eat. To top it off, the restrooms were dirty and visibly neglected, which did little to improve the impression of the place. Is there anything good to be said? Yes. The host was genuinely courteous, and our server was excellent, professional, attentive, and doing his best despite the kitchen’s shortcomings. Beyond that, there’s zero reason to return.

Despite our reservation and the restaurant not being full, we were not allowed to sit at our preferred table. Even a simple request to move was met with an unfriendly refusal. After our meal, we were immediately asked to leave because the table was supposedly reserved again in 30 minutes. While the view is beautiful and the food was good, I have never experienced such disrespectful behavior in any other restaurant. Never again!

Beautiful location! Wow! Unfortunately, the first "okay, meh" moment came right at reception. It felt like the reservation hadn't even shown up in the system. (Booked and confirmed via OpenTable) Unfortunately, the service (for the price) didn't live up to expectations. We had a long wait for the menus. Ordering was only possible in English. Unfortunately, the wrong order arrived. However, it was replaced without any fuss. Overall, the service seemed inattentive and disinterested. We had four different servers. The restaurant wasn't even fully booked with ten tables. The food was very heavy on olive oil. The salad was bland. Portions were rather small. However, the hummus and pita bread were quite filling. It's a shame; I remember Israeli cuisine being better.

My husband reserved a table at Neni for our wedding anniversary. Everything went smoothly, and it was a very nice restaurant with a wonderful view over Berlin. All the waiters were very friendly! I didn't really enjoy the food. The burrata had a rather bland flavor. It lacked seasoning. My main course – the risotto – was inedible. The porcini mushrooms were soaked in lemon juice, which made the whole dish taste completely sour. It seemed as if the kitchen had no sense of the food that evening. The only apology offered was a coffee, which we politely declined (7:30 p.m.!). My husband's meal was delicious! However, his portions were very small (chicken skewer as a starter and Wagyu as a main course), so he bought some more on the way home. For €95, you expect to be full. If they had removed the risotto from the bill (I only ate 1/3), we would definitely have come back. Next time we'll go to the Monkey Bar for the view. Thanks for the attentive service, though!

Last Sunday I was at NENI Berlin with a friend. We were literally in the middle of eating dessert, when the waiter suddenly came to our table and said: “Hey, in 10 minutes you need to leave, we have the next reservation.” There were plenty of free tables around us — so this was not about space. I found this behaviour extremely disrespectful. We paid almost 200€ for lunch, and to be treated like this is absolutely unacceptable. There are many great restaurants in this city — and I have never experienced such behaviour anywhere else. NENI should seriously reconsider how they treat their guests. Customer satisfaction matters.

We were very disappointed with the quality of the food. All three of us ordered a set menu, which unfortunately was very unbalanced. There wasn't a single dish that was even remotely special. Lots of fried food, lots of tahini, and nothing fresh at all; a salad was missing. Very little choice, especially considering the price. We would not visit this restaurant again.

I've already visited NENI Hamburg and had a good experience there. That's why I decided to visit NENI Berlin with my family last Thursday around 2 p.m. Unfortunately, this visit was disappointing from beginning to end. Although we had a reservation, it took quite a while before we were shown to our table. After that, we had to wait even longer before someone came to take our order – even though we had already closed the menus. We tried several times to get the waiters' attention, but without success. At one point, a staff member walked past our table, and I had to speak to her several times before she finally – somewhat rudely – replied, with her back to us, that she would be right there. During the meal, no one came to ask if everything was alright or if we needed anything else. At NENI, you're also paying for the experience – and given the prices, we expected more attentive service. Even at the end, we had to wait a very long time for the bill. When we asked to take the rest of the food with us, they simply gave us a box, and we had to pack everything ourselves. NENI Hamburg uses a reusable container system; however, at NENI Berlin, we only received single-use packaging. Given the price and the brand's reputation, I expected a much more professional service. The food is good, but the service that day left much to be desired.

Despite booking our table 15 days in advance, we were treated very poorly right from the moment we entered the restaurant. The staff and the manager were extremely rude and dismissive, showing absolutely no sense of hospitality or basic courtesy. Our assigned waiter, Mr. Mario, was shockingly impolite throughout our visit. Not only did he speak rudely, but at the time of leaving, he even asked us to set the chairs ourselves after we had already paid the bill – something completely unacceptable for any dining establishment. To make matters worse, when we pointed out that the cutlery was unclean, they flatly refused to replace it, showing zero concern for hygiene or customer satisfaction. Overall, this was a terrible experience from start to finish. The entire staff seemed uninterested and unfriendly. I would never recommend anyone to visit this place. Save your time and money – there are far better restaurants that actually value their customers.

Beautiful place and charming service.

It was our first time there. We already knew Neni from Hamburg and are big fans. So we thought we'd treat our parents in Berlin. The view was fantastic, the food was good as usual, but the service was some of the worst I've ever experienced. We were seated and then completely ignored for 25 minutes. The waitress who seated us kept walking past us, tending to the tables next to us. We tried subtle signals at first, like placing our cards closed on the table, but she never looked at our table. Then we tried making eye contact, but that didn't work either, not even with the colleague who was also serving the tables around us. Then I tried hand signals, but that didn't work either. Finally, I asked the colleague who was also serving there if we could place our order with her. Without looking at us, she walked past us and replied, annoyed, that she'd be right there; she was getting something for the other table first. She then took our order, without a warm hello (she didn't know us yet), blunt and cold. During the meal, she didn't even ask if we were okay and if we needed anything else. The staff constantly hovered nearby, chatting among themselves, moving to other tables, but never looking at us. When we wanted to pay, it was the same as at the beginning: it took a very long time. There was still quite a lot left over from two plates. I asked if we could take it with us. A new waiter then came with two paper boxes, placed them on the table, and left. I concluded that we should pack the food ourselves in the small boxes at the table. In the end, he wondered why I didn't leave a tip because he repeatedly asked if the price he had entered into the debit machine was correct. I told him that we were incredibly disappointed with the service and that this was our first and last visit to Neni Berlin. Absolutely no comparison to the level of service in Hamburg.

Food was okay but tiny portion. Service was atrocious - sides were wrong, we'd finished our mains and still no drinks arrived. No communication between staff and they ignored us - we had to stand up and walk up to them physically to get any service.

First, the good news. The food is very good. That's it. Service is disastrous. Seat reservations aren't fulfilled as ordered. Only after a complaint is made on the spot. And then, again, not as requested. Ordered dishes are delivered incorrectly. A greeting from the kitchen only comes after a special request. I'm sorry. A place with a lot of potential has lost customers permanently this way. As I now know, others are no different. For me, the atmosphere is like that of a train station bar. Just one difference. I feel much more comfortable in a train station bar. But everyone should find that out for themselves.

Very tasty Levantine food...but in the evening you need a headlamp to find your food on the plate in the very dark ambience

I've been there twice now. The food is fantastic, and you have a great view of the zoo. The only downside is the noise level in the large hall/room. The service today was absolutely wonderful. Spot on. Many thanks to our super-friendly waitress, Martyna. I'd love to come back.

The food was okay (nothing outstanding), but the service left much to be desired. We had to wait over 10 minutes for our reserved table. The wobbly table was only fixed after several requests. There was also no glass for the Coke, and the plates were simply piled together on the table when cleared. For the price, we expected more.

We finally returned to NENI Berlin after a long time – we're usually there almost every weekend, but this time it took a few weeks. And what can I say: It was, as always, simply fantastic! A huge compliment to the entire team and a special thank you to Stefan, the restaurant supervisor. He really does a fantastic job – super friendly, attentive, and always in a good mood. You can tell he loves his job and does everything he can to make his guests feel comfortable. The ambiance is simply beautiful – cozy, lively, yet relaxed. You immediately feel welcome. The service is top-notch: everyone is friendly, attentive, and makes a real effort, even when things get hectic. Requests are fulfilled immediately, and you can tell that the well-being of the guests is our top priority. All in all: NENI Berlin is and will remain one of our absolute favorite places in the city. Thanks to the entire team and especially to Stefan for the great evening – we'll definitely be back soon.

For me, there's no reason to come back. The service was good, but the food was truly mediocre. I've never experienced a dish that tasted completely oversalted or barely seasoned on a plate.

I can only advise against it. The food was anything but delicious. It's a loveless convenience food, with no consideration for allergies or intolerances. The server comment: It's all pre-prepared and nothing can be done about it. What kind of "kitchen" is this? The Wagyu kebab (fried to death) could have been used for slices. The "schnitzel" had hardly any meat, was dripping with frying oil, and was completely oversalted. The sweet potato fries were soggy. I only ate a forkful of the main course and skipped the rest for the sake of my health. The server comment: Was it too much? When I pointed out that it simply didn't taste good at all, they didn't ask any questions. I've certainly had good Israeli and Levantine food before, but I'll certainly never eat it here or at the other restaurants in this overpriced chain again. I get unhealthy fast food at KFC, etc., too.

Absolutely incredible! I think it was the best food I’ve ever had in my life. Our waiter Fredrick was absolutely amazing, so attentive, so patient and super nice! The food was absolutely delicious, with different notes of flavors and fresh ingredients, absolutely wow! I will definitely come back and look for their other locations around Europe!

A beautiful restaurant with a great view of the zoo and the Memorial Church. The decor is inviting. It can seat a lot of guests, and that's where the small problems begin. It only takes two tables of yelling tourists for it to become difficult to have a conversation. The noise level on our evening was almost unbearable. The service was there, but not as attentive as we would have liked. In other words, they could have sold us a lot more than two bottles of water and a bottle of wine. If you're willing to go along with all that, it can certainly turn into a great evening. The food itself was good, no complaints whatsoever. Beautiful flavors, the menu not overly oppressive.

Delicious (but expensive) food in a great (but loud) location. However, the service is getting worse and slower. No server feels responsible for you, and everything takes a very long time. Given the prices and the otherwise chic ambiance, you'd expect something different.

Yesterday was my first and last time at Neni Berlin. It's incredibly loud and doesn't even have a cafeteria atmosphere. We sat at a table for four and had to shout at each other to even hear each other. This is abysmal and has nothing to do with the original idea of ​​"NENI"! We just ate and drank what we ordered first and then fled this inhospitable place. Even outside on the busy main street, it was quieter than in this dump. Someone here wants to be hip, and enough people fall for it. I can only advise everyone against it.

We were here for a drink only (monkeybar was closed). Very sweet workers. Beautiful view. The cappuccino was nice but the milk was not very well foamed, so could have been better.

I ordered the Tel Avivian schnitzel for myself. Even the small portion seemed inappropriate for the relatively high price. I didn't receive a side dish, which you'd expect with a main course. What really bothered me, however, was that the schnitzel wasn't cooked (!). Although it was deep-fried on the outside, it was still raw on the inside. I admit that this experience left a lasting impression on me. I wouldn't want to come back for more.
