Had the most amazing tapas for lunch. Service was great, food was great. Nice quiet location just away from the hustle and bustle.

Very wide selection on the menu, authentic fish dishes and really nice waiters. Definitely coming here!

Had a wonderful meal with grandma and grandpa, very welcoming and helpful. The food was perfect. The music was a bit loud, but not bothersome. The aquariums and the fish were really cool. So, simply fantastic food.

We had a lovely evening with wine, oysters, fried anchovy paella, and octopus. Everything was delicious, and the service was very attentive and friendly. They have a large selection of fish to enjoy.

A very hospitable atmosphere and very accommodating. New tables were set up outside in seconds, and we were served immediately. We were looking for a nice restaurant in Berlin and went to La Sepia, how lucky we were as we only went there by chance. The food was amazing. I had fish and seafood and it was super yummy. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the prices really reasonable. There was a really nice waiter from my home country, Venezuela. Highly recommended

VAT wasn't included in the menu prices, so the final amount was increased by 19%. Maybe it was listed somewhere on the menu, but not directly next to the prices. The food was average, and the white Rioja gave me a headache.

Yesterday I visited this restaurant for the first time and I was absolutely thrilled. The seafood selection is magnificent, from freshly caught oysters to perfectly grilled fish. Everything was beautifully prepared, very fresh, and tasted of the highest quality. The side dishes were also finely balanced and perfectly rounded off the overall experience. The service was attentive, friendly, and unobtrusive, and the atmosphere was pleasantly maritime without being overly pretentious. An absolute recommendation for all seafood lovers!

Great tapas, good service, cozy restaurant. Highly recommend the lamb sausage and fish croquettes. Love the complimentary bread with garlic butter and a free digestiv is a really nice touch!

A very nice restaurant; if you're seated correctly, you have a view of the fish counter and the show kitchen behind it. The food was very, very tasty. Just don't expect large portions, so you're paying more for taste than quantity.

La Sepia – Great Atmosphere, Unfortunately, Service Fails La Sepia is truly beautifully and comfortably furnished. I was particularly impressed by the sepia-themed wall and a huge screen with fascinating underwater images. The narrow, blue-lit corridor to the restroom, with its atmospheric images, was also an eye-catcher. Unfortunately, the service couldn't keep up. Our server was very cold. No smile, hardly any eye contact. The food was overall rather mediocre in taste, although my Ipanema stood out positively – it was surprisingly refreshing and tasty. A small mishap when paying: card payment wasn't possible at first, supposedly due to internet congestion from the large number of guests. We were offered cash or a wait of about 15 minutes. Since we had time, we waited – and lo and behold, after just five minutes, the waiter returned with the card reader and the payment went through without a hitch. As we left the restaurant, we were warmly bid farewell by the other waiters – friendly, open, with eye contact and a smile. It's a shame that we had no luck with our waiter.

La Sepia undoubtedly serves very fresh seafood. Unfortunately, in my seafood salad, it was so soft that it almost seemed raw – not my taste. However, the particularly large mussels, which looked very appetizing, deserve special mention. The baked squid rings could have been seasoned better in my opinion – without the mayonnaise, they tasted quite bland and boring. We enjoyed the mixed platter with various fish and seafood. The roasted vegetables as a side dish were particularly well seasoned. The best tasting dish was the garlic prawns – aromatic and delicate – but they were unfortunately served cold, which was surprising and a shame. We actually wanted to order sangria, but it wasn't worth almost €20 for a 0.5 liter. The service was disappointing: While most of the waiters seemed friendly and cheerful, we encountered one who was very grumpy and didn't smile once. This unfortunately somewhat dampened the atmosphere.

A place to linger, the food and service are first-class! You truly feel welcome as a guest! An experience for the palate and stomach, gladly again☆☆☆☆☆ ♡

Here it's all top-notch... Really good food, service, and can be up to scratch, even if it's often disappointing, there's a shortage in central Berlin. But not here... They come here many times, and every meal, and the excellent service has some truly wonderful atmosphere. This restaurant has always been wonderful. Can only recommend it to people with a sense of good food and incredibly good service. Everything here is first-class... Really good food, service, and can sometimes, even if it sounds strange, be in short supply in central Berlin. But not here... I've been coming here for many years, and neither the food nor the excellent service have ever disappointed me. This restaurant has never disappointed me. Highly recommended for people with a taste for good food and great service.

We discovered La Sepia while looking for lunch. It looks rather unassuming from the outside, but it's actually quite large and tastefully decorated. Since we were there at lunchtime, we had a reasonably priced meal from the lunch menu. We enjoyed it very much, and it's very good value for money. There's a wide selection of Spanish and Portuguese dishes. We'll definitely stop by again on our next visit.

Awful experience. The smell inside was so bad it made me feel nauseous while waiting over 40 minutes for a simple business lunch. Totally unacceptable. Never again.

Unfortunately, I have to make some adjustments. Clearly overrated: Service was okay under the strict regime of the "owner," but this compromised the feel-good factor. The food, here the paella, was somewhat bland in flavor with clear potential for improvement (e.g., the shrimp was borderline overcooked, the rice wasn't crispy). The scampi, the second dish, also had a bland flavor. Piri-piri was the last resort. Otherwise, there are good alternatives on the same street.

Eating certain Asian dishes can help relieve homesickness, but I find that Spanish food can only be eaten in Spain. It has nothing to do with whether the restaurant is good or bad. It’s just that Spain is so beautiful and makes people nostalgic.

We felt very comfortable in this restaurant. The atmosphere is relaxed, the staff friendly and attentive. The owner was particularly funny and created a good atmosphere. The food – especially the oysters and mussels – was fantastic: fresh, perfectly prepared, and incredibly delicious. An all-round successful evening. We'd love to come back!

Exorbitant prices, unfocused waiters, very small portions... but very tasty...

We were at the La Sepia restaurant today. The ambiance is truly beautiful and the food is outstanding. The welcome was wonderful, even though we were there with a toddler and a dog. For dinner, we opted for a fish platter with prawns and a children's menu. All the dishes were truly delicious and truly exquisite. I was so impressed by the friendly service and the delicious food that I actually got around to writing a review—something I never usually do.

I had high hope when I visited this restaurant. The menu looked quite appetizing. The reality was a bit disappointing. They served an Aperol spritz with some non-Aperol brand. They did replace the drink with a sangria that was a bit better. The seafood paella was not a paella but more like a soupy rice. Ordered apple strudel for desert. The crust was soggy but the ice cream was good. Overall itv was an OK experience unless you are looking for authenticity.

No one speaks Spanish. The cod croquettes have potatoes, and the anchovies are dry after a while. The portions are very expensive for tapas. I didn't like it.

No, unfortunately, I wouldn't recommend it. The waiters don't understand German, and unfortunately, this isn't communicated, resulting in incorrect orders on several occasions. The mussels in white wine sauce were also poorly prepared. They had a hard texture and the broth was too salty. All in all, we definitely won't be back!

Had lunch at La Sepia and honestly the food was decent but nothing unforgettable prices were on the higher side for what you get I paid around €25 for a main course and drink the pasta was fresh but lacked seasoning and the salad was just okay the atmosphere felt a bit cold and service was quite slow they seemed understaffed when I visited they’re open daily from 11am to 10pm I’d suggest coming during off-peak hours if you do go helpful for anyone looking for a quick lunch in the area but don’t expect anything special.

We've been visiting this restaurant every time we're in Berlin for years. It was great again this time. We had the hot/cold tapas plate. And two dishes from the cataplana. Highly recommended.

An important and good address for fish lovers. Spanish fish dishes dominate the menu, but meat is also available. The service is very nice and I can only recommend a visit to everyone. The prices are moderate. Everything is just perfect.

Delicious monkfish cataplana - highly recommend

It was my second visit to La Sepia. The atmosphere is pleasantly Mediterranean, the boss is very committed and present - you can tell that he puts his heart into what he does. Overall, we had a nice evening, even if the food didn't really impress us this time. We had paella and the mixed seafood platter. The paella tasted very good, but the mussels were a bit too hard - as with the platter. The lobster seemed overcooked and had a slightly rubbery consistency, while the monkfish was unfortunately barely edible. The service was friendly, but not particularly attentive. For example, cleaning cloths were missing from the lobster that the next table had received - no drama, but it is noticeable. Maybe our expectations were just too high - or it's better not to eat seafood in the interior of the country. La Sepia is certainly not a bad restaurant, but for me personally it's more like 3.5 than 4.7 stars.

Wir sind mit meiner Cousine Sabine Knoll, Inhaberin des wunderbaren Boutique-Hotels mittendrin in Berlin, mal wieder ins La Sepia gegangen. Obwohl wir vorher schon wussten, dass das Essen dort 1 a ist, wurden wir nochmals aufs Positivste überrascht: Sam und sein Team kümmerten sich professionell und aufmerksam um uns drei: Die Empfehlunge fürs Essen waren rundum perfekt: Tolle Tapas (vor allem die Scampi in Knoblauch-Sauce ein Gedicht) und eine klasse Paella. Wir hatten uns für die Variante Meeresfrüchte entschieden - und wurden nicht enttäuscht. Ein rundum gelungener Abend, tolles Essen, tolles Ambiente. Wir kommen wieder :-)!!

I can't understand the good reviews. We had warmed up tapas, which didn't seem fresh to me. The main course prawns for around €22 were not good either. Didn't convince us. Too bad.

We went there because the reviews looked good. It is not bad but it is not an authentic Spanish restaurant, it feels and is a very touristy spot. The staff was friendly and spoke a lot of languages. We ordered tapas to share and wine and we had a nice time. The music was extremely loud though which made it a bit hard to have a proper conversation and I would suggest changing the playlist as they were playing salsa the entire time which doesn’t really match with Spanish food. The prices are fair and the wine selection is good and a very good price as well.

Ganz üble Touristenfalle. Essen war wirklich unterirdisch schlecht und das zu nicht ganz kleinen Preisen. Obendrein geht der Besitzer gegen schlechte Google-Bewertungen vor, daher ist er dort richtig gut bewertet. Das stimmt aber in der Realität nicht. Wir können nur jedem abraten hier her zu gehen!! Der Service war okay (aber nicht gut) und wie gesagt, das Essen war das schlechteste was wir (alle vier) in den letzten 10 Jahren hatten.

I have an eighteen-year-old enthusiastic son who knows a lot about fish and shellfish, so yesterday we were looking for a restaurant with the intention of eating lobster for the first time. The owner of La Sepia noticed us and also became enthusiastic about my son's passion. He put together a great pan for us with lobster, scampi and fish. Simply awesome...My older one really wants to eat there with the whole family...Great service, fair price, great food. Back soon!

A tapas bar in Berlin where you can taste authentic Spanish 🇪🇸🐙🥔🦪 food 🥂🥂🥂🍾🍾🍾 I ordered bouillabaisse oyster pollo fish dish Pollo and fresh oyster dish with a real Spanish taste, with coarse salt and chewy octopus on top of potatoes! The bouillabaisse was also delicious with a real Spanish taste The price is reasonable and the interior of the restaurant is cute, so it really feels like Spain! I've been to many other tapas restaurants, but I promise to go here from now on!! Card payment is available, and the total came to 80 euros including tip.

The food was excellent, and the seafood was all very fresh and well-prepared. The aioli cream tastes delicious and is also homemade. I can recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves seafood. We had salmon fillet and seafood pasta.

This is my first Spanish food experience. My boyfriend, who tried paella in Spain, said it tastes much better here. It tastes like a lot of care put into the food!! The staff member wearing a ponytail and hat who takes your order is really friendly. Thanks to his kindness, the meal became even more delicious~~!!! I don't live in Berlin, so I don't know if I'll be able to visit again, but if I could, I would.🥰

Western cuisine with seafood as the main ingredient. They will cook the seafood displayed on the display. Everything was very delicious, and I highly recommend the linguine shrimp pasta. The sautéed white fish was also good. The store staff always talked to me and made me feel comfortable.

We spontaneously went to La Sepia today. We tried it without a reservation and were greeted warmly by the very friendly staff and organized a table. Apart from a few small inadequacies in the background service, everything was completely OK. However, the fact that the waiter asks you to remove the cutlery from the starter from the plate in order to use it for the main course is a no-go for us and cost one point in the service category. The food was excellent, both the tappas as a starter and the fish and paella as the main course were top. The cocktails are also solid. Not top notch, but really good. Overall, recommended for every fan of Spanish cuisine. We will definitely come back on our next stay in Berlin.

Fresh fish with lots of vegetables at a fair price. Hectic, changing but fast service. Tight tables, crowds, loud groups, annoying constant sound.

First of all: the food was very tasty and the price-performance ratio seemed reasonable to us. Organization is underground!! We had already booked a table 14 days in advance. When we arrived we were given two tables to choose from: one in the passage for 2 and one on the side for 4. We took the latter and ordered an aperitif. While we were still drinking we had to move to a table for two. It was okay and we thought “it could happen.” During our stay, almost all of the guests had to move, which at some point was just annoying because the move took place during the meal. We could have moved again during the meal because our table was very small for the food we ordered. But we declined during the meal. The Averna came without ice and lemon, which suits the overwhelmed staff. Anyone who loves things loud and chaotic is in good hands here. Everyone else should avoid the restaurant.

My son, my husband and I were there spontaneously, it was no problem at all and we were allowed to sit down straight away. The selection was very large. The food was on point. Staff super attentive and polite. The boss was extremely active throughout.

I sometimes had the feeling that he was reading my wishes from my lips. I found a restaurant here where I have to redefine my passion for fish... simply delicious.
