Almost everything is just right here. The Wiener Schnitzel was beautifully cooked and came with fried capers and parsley. The potato salad was also beautifully dressed and delicious. Price-wise, the schnitzel was on the high side at €28.90. The ambiance is cozy, and the service is friendly, attentive, and simply excellent. We'll be back.

We were able to hold our small celebration after the registry office ceremony at this fantastic venue and are absolutely thrilled! The communication beforehand was smooth and very friendly – ​​all our requests were taken into account, and we were even offered some great ideas of our own. The food was absolutely delicious and prepared with love. We would especially like to highlight the extremely friendly and attentive service – we felt completely at home. The room was tastefully decorated, and the beautiful terrace perfectly rounded off the whole experience. Thank you so much for this unforgettable afternoon – we would choose you again anytime!

I really love this place, 5 minutes from the center of Bonn, in the botanical garden. You can sit on the outdoor patio with a view of nature. 😇 I highly recommend the desserts, they're really delicious🍮, and it's the perfect place to meet a friend. The service was quite fast and friendly. We're frequent visitors here and highly recommend it!

We celebrated a civil wedding at Nees, and everything was absolutely perfect! First of all, the organization and service deserve high praise – everyone we came into contact with was always friendly, dedicated, and competent. Fantastic hosts! Special thanks go to Ms. Schneider from Event Management, whose open, straightforward manner made every arrangement a pleasure. The feedback from the guests was also consistently positive. The food and drinks received just as much praise – and deservedly so. We had three delicious courses followed by a cake buffet from Fassbender. The planning was once again very straightforward, special requests were easily accommodated, and the dishes and cakes were all of high quality. The ambiance was extremely stylish thanks to the well-maintained, elegant building, while at the same time, its location on the edge of the botanical garden made it incredibly idyllic. Ms. Schneider and her team executed the setup (including the decorations they brought along) exactly according to our ideas and with great attention to detail. The Nees impressed us across the board and we are already looking forward to our next visit!

Our wedding at Nees in Bonn-Poppelsdorf on August 9th was dreamy. The venue, with the botanical garden in the background and the lovingly designed summer terrace, was exactly how we had envisioned our celebration – summery, relaxed, and full of "summer vibes." The historic building, a former coach house of Poppelsdorf Castle, lends the celebration a special charm. After the rainy July, we were very lucky with the sunny weather. The barbecue buffet was a perfect match for the summer temperatures. The food was outstanding. The cake from Fassbender looked exactly as we had wished and ordered, and was absolutely delicious. A special mention must be made of Veronika, who managed the entire celebration with absolute professionalism from the initial contact to the conclusion. She immediately understood our ideas and made our day even more beautiful with her recommendations. The entire service team did an outstanding job on the day itself. Everyone was warm, attentive, and professional. Our impression is not exclusive: our guests were also thrilled with the celebration.

A great location for festivities and a stroll in the Botanical Gardens. The service is friendly and attentive. There are a few complaints about the dishes. The value for money is disastrous. Far too expensive for what is offered. Very small portions and lightly seasoned, not very tasty. I actually wasn't full after my meal. And I honestly don't eat much. Overall, not recommended due to the exorbitant prices and more suitable for higher earners. Mainly guests aged 50 and over. Younger people can't afford the food there either, except as mentioned above.

An absolute dream location for weddings! 🫶🏼 Both as a guest and from the perspective of a service provider! Quick and uncomplicated contact in advance via email, and upon arrival, we were immediately greeted warmly and provided with drinks 👍🏼 Setting up and dismantling the equipment was incredibly easy since you can drive right up to the building. Super friendly and attentive staff & the food was top-notch! 👌🏼 Highly recommended! I'd love to come back 🙏🏼

We got married at NEES at the end of July and celebrated there. It was our dream location from the very beginning, and we were extremely happy from the moment we met. We were on the same wavelength with the manager, Ms. Schneider, and communication was easy. She provided professional advice regarding the schedule, food and drink selection, DJ setup, etc. Ms. Schneider also had some great decoration ideas up her sleeve. :) The prices are fair. The food (buffet) was delicious for both our guests and us; it was something special. The quantities were perfectly calculated. At the request of some guests, non-alcoholic variations of our chosen aperitifs were spontaneously mixed. All the service staff were very friendly and attentive. They even kept an eye on the precipitation radar, so they secured everything on the terrace in time before the sudden heavy rain late in the evening. With the decorations we provided, Ms. Schneider conjured up a very pleasant ambiance on the terrace and in the banquet room. When I first saw the set tables, tears of joy welled up. :) Our guests and we felt completely at home at our wedding. We would celebrate at NEES again anytime.

Food is excellent, had the chicken and creme brulee. Place is a gem, will definitely go again. Staff were courteous and location is beautiful outside. Only one toilet though is a bit limited.

The best part is the beautiful terrace overlooking the Botanical Garden! The interior is also pleasant. Delicious cakes are served in the afternoon, and the large and small dishes on the menu are all delicious and carefully prepared, although they are all a bit pricey. The service is generally friendly, but when it's busy, you often have to wait a long time. Overall, it's a great package.

Very rude waiter. When paying, he told us that we were wasting his time while he charged us a separate bill and that he could have been with other guests during that time. If the place allows this type of payment, I don't see what the problem is. I certainly won't be coming back.

A beautifully located café right next to the Botanical Gardens with a large terrace overlooking the garden. The café's interior is very stylish and has a lovely ambiance. The coffee specialties and cakes are highly recommended, but the food is disappointing. Not recommended on weekends, as it's overcrowded, requiring a table reservation or a long wait for the terrace. Furthermore, the service staff are overwhelmed on such days.

There's hardly a more beautiful place in Bonn, or a more beautiful space, than this charming café by the botanical garden. The coffee and cake were delicious in the sun on the May Day terrace. The service, however, was more than inadequate, if not downright outrageous. Why? A) With no "Thank you, please, you're welcome," or even "would you like something else?", it felt like a fast-food restaurant. You had to actively approach the server to place a (further) order, but that didn't mean the table was ever cleared of empty cups and plates, or even pointed out the cake selection in the building. B) Two people who asked a staff member if they could sit at a free table were dismissed with the words "I don't know, but it's best not to stand in the way," without the server stopping or returning. This response caught my attention as a bystander. C) A short time later, a very elderly lady who had just arrived with a walker (without which she would have fallen over) had to move out of the way of the waitress with a chair in her hands because the waitress didn't do so. This happened completely silently: no "excuse me" or "thank you," "may I help you/would you like to sit down?"... nothing. The lady had already chosen the table for herself. However, the chair was placed so close to the table and quickly left the spot that the unsteady lady had to let go of the walker to position the chair so she could sit down. I rushed to the elderly lady's aid because I was afraid she might fall. D) All the waitresses were inside the empty café, five at the counter, rather than outside with the customers. It seemed as if the interaction among peers was more important than serving the customers. E) A seemingly new waitress was harshly reprimanded in front of me as a guest for carrying the tray in one arm instead of both hands. F) Most tables were left with dirty dishes for a long time without customers. I usually tip at least 10% and up to 20% because I really appreciate service. I decided not to tip in this case. B and C really upset me, so I'm taking the time to share this feedback and hope this café manages to live up to its great ambiance with appropriate hospitality. For me, this includes attentive, caring staff who are focused on friendliness, respect, cleanliness, and the needs of the guests.

we wanted to eat coffee and cake. The receptionist said in an unfriendly tone: "You can stay for a maximum of 30 minutes, only drink and not eat anything, because the table is reserved." A waiter came only after 10 minutes, with his face on the floor, very unfriendly! No greeting... Brings us 2 quick drinks and when we want to pay he said "9". No request, no thanks, he didn't even say "9 euros"!!!!! I have never experienced such rudeness. Not acceptable for such a place (and not acceptable at all)

El pastel de manzana no era de mi gusto. El ambiente era bueno; el paisaje excelente. Todo - alrededor de buena experiencia.

Absolutely recommended, especially for private events. We had a great afternoon in the very nice event room. The food (sweet and savory) and the service were great. All guests including many children felt very comfortable. Thank you also for the very nice and relaxed organization of the event!

We are still overwhelmed by our wedding party that we were able to celebrate in Nees in December. The location itself is an absolute eye-catcher and its style provided the perfect setting for our celebration. The meal was a culinary highlight and was highly praised by all guests. The service was excellent and our contact person, Veronika, helped us with all of our questions and implemented our decoration wishes perfectly with great attention to detail. We are so happy to have chosen this location and can only recommend it to everyone.

A nice café in the Botanical Garden. Very good, very courteous service. Pleasant conclusion to the greenhouse visit with very good coffee and a piece of berry crumble. Then an excellent ginger-lime tea, freshly made, and then back out into the cold, wet November. Clean, cozy, ambience,... Absolute recommendation.

Wonderful food (try the pumpkin soup on a cold day; unbeatable), courteous staff, great tasty coffee. Warm and clean premises with stylish toilets. Steady arrival and departure of patrons means no wait on the day I was there. English spoken without hesitation. Really nice to relax here after an hour or two in the remarkable Botanic Park.

Disaster! So far we have been a fan of the cafe and the terrace. But this time it was a disaster. The coffee is already overpriced in comparison and at the pain threshold! The staff pushes forward and jumps at the guests' feet. And the gardeners “absolutely have to” rattle past the crowded terrace with their lawnmowers and tractors at lunchtime. Combined with the fire siren, it was the full blast of three noise sources at once! Extremely stressful. Why doesn't this work with the machines in the morning or at another time when no one is there? People come there to have peace and quiet!

The food was delicious and the atmosphere and lighting were great. The prices are a bit steeper than I am used to (cake, soup and tea came to just under €20), but I would still definitely go again.

The café is very nice and the drinks and food are always delicious. Unfortunately, the lack of staff is also noticeable here and the service could be more attentive. I once asked for a sip of tap water to take medication and was refused. Then I drank from the toilet tap. Unfortunately that's not possible and that's why I have a point deducted for the service.

The occasion was a funeral with 42 guests. A menu with soup, quiche and salad was ordered for a price of €50 per person. A buffet was delivered with lukewarm soup, small chunks of quiche that had been warmed up and cooled down again in far too small quantities. The dressing was far too limited for the leaf salad. A disgrace for our guests that also cost €2,300. The staff was very rude, untrained and overwhelmed. We had to clear our own plates. Never again!!

Die Lage ist fantastisch, das Essen ganz gut, besonders die Vorspeisen. Es wäre noch schöner und stimmungsvoller gewesen, wenn man auch draußen Tischdecken und größere Servietten gehabt hätte.

Went to a wedding. Top service, always very courteous and friendly. The food came as a buffet, but it was really good. The location is beautifully located and there is a very relaxed atmosphere around it.

We had the schnitzel and the ravioli. Sooo good, the pfifferings were perfect, and the kartoffelsalat was too good.

The ambience and location are great, the service is young and hectic, the food is completely overpriced. The "crunchy market salad with goat cheese and honey" was a good handful of mushy, ice-cold chopped lettuce with a rather bland taste. 4 half cocktail tomatoes as decoration. The goat cheese was okay, you could only guess at the honey. Despite additional bread (baked goods), I remained hungry and I can only eat small portions. Sorry, for €17.50 I expect to be full. The cappucchino was small, strong and unfortunately not hot.

Ein fantastischer Ort, hätte sehr viel Potential! Leider war die Chefin nur zur Begrüßung anwesend. Danach spürten wir deutlich die abnehmende Lust des Servicepersonals. Wir mussten nach der Vorspeise lange auf den Hauptgang warten, obwohl nur 6-7 Tische besetzt waren. Keine Entschuldigung, keine Erklärung, nada. 🙁 Mit der Dessertkarte ließ uns die Belegschaft eine Viertelstunde allein, was unseren Wunsch zerstörte, den Abend in diesem Lokal mit etwas Süßem ausklingen zu lassen. Das Essen war ok, nichts Begeisterndes, aber auch nicht mangelhaft. Ob eine „3“ die Preise rechtfertigt??? Der Wein war lecker.

Beautiful cafe in the middle of the botanical garden. I shared a Parmesan truffle potato dipper and one drink each with a friend and it was delicious. Our server Bell was so kind and lovely and served fast & efficiently despite how busy it was.

The Cafe itself is in a lovely area just infront of the botanical gardens so there is a wonderful atmosphere. The food itself was delicious and brought out withing minutes of ordering. To top it off we were served by Bell who was extremely helpful and polite making the whole experience a 5/5

Ich war jetzt öffter dort. Jedes mal hört man reserviert kein Platz, ich habe dann gewartet. Mann sollte auch ein paar Tische frei lassen für Gäste, die vom spazieren kommen und etwas zu sich nehmen möchten. Personal ist trotz ihrer Aussagen bemüht und freundlich. Kaffe ist zu dünn, vorallem der Eislatte. Die Aperitif sind super.👌 Gläser immer voll. Ich komme trotzdem gerne wieder.

To be honest, we were a little disappointed. The restaurant seems like an upscale restaurant, at least based on the prices. Portions small, no bread with the salad, no greeting from the kitchen. Toilets dirty, no toilet paper etc. It's a shame, we probably won't be back. Service was friendly and of course the view is great.

Today, while we were already seated on the terrace, we were greeted by the “manager” with the words: “It's raining, you're welcome to stay seated, but we won't serve you!” Mind you, the terrace was fully occupied at the time and the people around us were served accordingly. Extremely unfriendly behavior and definitely not recommended.

I ordered at the bar and was told that this site only serves coffee and cake. So I just ordered drinks. A few minutes later, the table next door received a full meal, whereupon I reported to the staff. Instead of making amends or apologizing, the person responsible disappeared and spoke to his colleagues. We were left speechless. A pity.

Great from planning to the last second. We recently celebrated my mother's 60th birthday here and she, I and all the other guests really loved the location. The planning of the event was very pleasant and personal; requests were taken seriously and implemented. The food was fantastic and the service that evening was also very good. Also highly recommended for a nice dinner or a cozy piece of cake on the terrace.

Very tasty food in a nice restaurant last night. Unfortunately, the service staff was busy all evening loudly restocking the counter with drinks, clearing dishes and cleaning right next to us. Unfortunately, that didn't fit the atmosphere (and the prices) of the Nees at all.

I recently ate here and can only say that it was an extremely bad experience. I ordered 2 starters: a root beetroot soup and the vegetable tempura with glass noodle salad. The soup tasted like a sweet and sour soup from the Chinese store. The somewhat reddish color was probably caused by the addition of some root beetroot juice. Since this construct was inedible, I had it returned. The best thing I can say about the parsley root soup is that it was better than the other soup. The vegetable tempura consisted of 2 pieces each of red pepper, green asparagus and eggplant. These were not breaded in tempura batter, but in the batter in which you get the fried bananas for dessert in the Chinese restaurant. The eggplant tempura was soft and slippery - eggplant just doesn't lend itself to being made into tempura. The included glass noodle salad consisted of glass noodles mixed with a mushy, mushy sauce that tasted like the sweet chili sauce mixed with a little satay sauce that you would find in the Chinese store. However, the ambience and location of this restaurant are nice in contrast to the food.

The location is nice and food/drink was ok. Cake had some lint, I was able to remove it. Service but unfortunately subpar. Arrived first and simply wasn't served; But everyone else around me does. It doesn't work at all. I had to run to the waitress twice and in the end pick up my cake myself. Sorry nil. I can't recommend it!

We had dinner at Nees. It's really nice to sit inside and have enough peace and distance from the other tables to have a good conversation. Service was good. Now for the negatives: The food is expensive and bad. The tempura was served mushy on an over-salted glass noodle porridge that tasted more like glutamate than anything else. The quicke was dry and lay on the plate next to a listlessly arranged green salad. The gnocci were average. Only the homemade ginger lemonade was very good. I would go there again anytime and have a nice drink and a chat. But really not recommended for eating at all.

The arrangements in advance also worked wonderfully. There was always an open ear and enough time for our questions and requests. We would want to celebrate there again at any time! Wir hatten über die Sendung "mein Lokal dein Lokal" gehört, das der Küchenchef auf einen Stern hinarbeitet. Hübsche Location im Bonner Süden. Passt eigentlich. Die Gerichte waren wirklich gut, prima Fleischqualität. Da sind sie auf einem guten Weg. Allerdings ist alles Andere nicht, aber auch nicht annähernd Sterne-verdächtig. Papier-Servietten? Schwaches Weinangebot, und alle deutlich überteuert. Kellner mit breitem Kettchen und sagen wir ausbaufähigen Manieren. Zum Abschluss fragten wir nach einem Cognac, den gibt es nicht, dafür wurde ein "Bourbon" angeboten. Schwacher Abgang.

Wir sind immer wieder gerne dort. Schöne Atmosphäre, nettes Personal, gute Karte.
