Sitting outside in the sun and looking into the botanical garden - wonderful!

Absolutely recommended, especially for private events. We had a great afternoon in the very nice event room. The food (sweet and savory) and the service were great. All guests including many children felt very comfortable. Thank you also for the very nice and relaxed organization of the event!

Great atmosphere, right next to the Botanical Garden, especially the sunny terrace is wonderful. The service lags a bit behind on busy days, but is mostly friendly. The food and drinks on offer are good, but a bit expensive. Fassbender’s cakes and tarts are particularly recommended.

We enjoy going here and are always satisfied. It's better to reserve on weekends.

Männliche Bedienung viel zu langsam (es war nicht voll). Mussten lange warten, bis wir die Karte erhielten. Mussten für Bestellung und Bezahlung der Bedienung hinterherlaufen…. 1Stück Kuchen, 5,35 Euro. D.h. 2 Kaffee und 2 Stück Kuchen ca. 20 Euro….

We are still overwhelmed by our wedding party that we were able to celebrate in Nees in December. The location itself is an absolute eye-catcher and its style provided the perfect setting for our celebration. The meal was a culinary highlight and was highly praised by all guests. The service was excellent and our contact person, Veronika, helped us with all of our questions and implemented our decoration wishes perfectly with great attention to detail. We are so happy to have chosen this location and can only recommend it to everyone.

Delightful place! I never miss the chance of a meal with my family there, when visiting them in Bonn.

Very good atmosphere. The view is beautiful. On every table there is a rosemary plant that diffuses a pleasant scent. The service staff are very nice and accommodating 😊

A nice café in the Botanical Garden. Very good, very courteous service. Pleasant conclusion to the greenhouse visit with very good coffee and a piece of berry crumble. Then an excellent ginger-lime tea, freshly made, and then back out into the cold, wet November. Clean, cozy, ambience,... Absolute recommendation.

Wonderful food (try the pumpkin soup on a cold day; unbeatable), courteous staff, great tasty coffee. Warm and clean premises with stylish toilets. Steady arrival and departure of patrons means no wait on the day I was there. English spoken without hesitation. Really nice to relax here after an hour or two in the remarkable Botanic Park.

Disaster! So far we have been a fan of the cafe and the terrace. But this time it was a disaster. The coffee is already overpriced in comparison and at the pain threshold! The staff pushes forward and jumps at the guests' feet. And the gardeners “absolutely have to” rattle past the crowded terrace with their lawnmowers and tractors at lunchtime. Combined with the fire siren, it was the full blast of three noise sources at once! Extremely stressful. Why doesn't this work with the machines in the morning or at another time when no one is there? People come there to have peace and quiet!

The food was delicious and the atmosphere and lighting were great. The prices are a bit steeper than I am used to (cake, soup and tea came to just under €20), but I would still definitely go again.

The café is very nice and the drinks and food are always delicious. Unfortunately, the lack of staff is also noticeable here and the service could be more attentive. I once asked for a sip of tap water to take medication and was refused. Then I drank from the toilet tap. Unfortunately that's not possible and that's why I have a point deducted for the service.

Zuwenig Fachpersonal bzw. Ausgebildetes Service Personal. Dazu ist es äußerst unangenehm, in einem ständigen Durchzug zu speisen. Türen zur Terrasse und dem Eingang sind geöffnet. Die Toiletten sind ein Desaster. Schade !

The occasion was a funeral with 42 guests. A menu with soup, quiche and salad was ordered for a price of €50 per person. A buffet was delivered with lukewarm soup, small chunks of quiche that had been warmed up and cooled down again in far too small quantities. The dressing was far too limited for the leaf salad. A disgrace for our guests that also cost €2,300. The staff was very rude, untrained and overwhelmed. We had to clear our own plates. Never again!!

In ausgezeichneter Lage Mit Großer Terasse idyllisch gelegen am Rande des botanischen Gartens; Flotter , freundlicher Service Überschauliches Angebot.

Die Lage ist fantastisch, das Essen ganz gut, besonders die Vorspeisen. Es wäre noch schöner und stimmungsvoller gewesen, wenn man auch draußen Tischdecken und größere Servietten gehabt hätte.

Went to a wedding. Top service, always very courteous and friendly. The food came as a buffet, but it was really good. The location is beautifully located and there is a very relaxed atmosphere around it.

We had the schnitzel and the ravioli. Sooo good, the pfifferings were perfect, and the kartoffelsalat was too good.

The ambience and location are great, the service is young and hectic, the food is completely overpriced. The "crunchy market salad with goat cheese and honey" was a good handful of mushy, ice-cold chopped lettuce with a rather bland taste. 4 half cocktail tomatoes as decoration. The goat cheese was okay, you could only guess at the honey. Despite additional bread (baked goods), I remained hungry and I can only eat small portions. Sorry, for €17.50 I expect to be full. The cappucchino was small, strong and unfortunately not hot.

Ein fantastischer Ort, hätte sehr viel Potential! Leider war die Chefin nur zur Begrüßung anwesend. Danach spürten wir deutlich die abnehmende Lust des Servicepersonals. Wir mussten nach der Vorspeise lange auf den Hauptgang warten, obwohl nur 6-7 Tische besetzt waren. Keine Entschuldigung, keine Erklärung, nada. 🙁 Mit der Dessertkarte ließ uns die Belegschaft eine Viertelstunde allein, was unseren Wunsch zerstörte, den Abend in diesem Lokal mit etwas Süßem ausklingen zu lassen. Das Essen war ok, nichts Begeisterndes, aber auch nicht mangelhaft. Ob eine „3“ die Preise rechtfertigt??? Der Wein war lecker.

Beautiful cafe in the middle of the botanical garden. I shared a Parmesan truffle potato dipper and one drink each with a friend and it was delicious. Our server Bell was so kind and lovely and served fast & efficiently despite how busy it was.

The Cafe itself is in a lovely area just infront of the botanical gardens so there is a wonderful atmosphere. The food itself was delicious and brought out withing minutes of ordering. To top it off we were served by Bell who was extremely helpful and polite making the whole experience a 5/5

Ich war jetzt öffter dort. Jedes mal hört man reserviert kein Platz, ich habe dann gewartet. Mann sollte auch ein paar Tische frei lassen für Gäste, die vom spazieren kommen und etwas zu sich nehmen möchten. Personal ist trotz ihrer Aussagen bemüht und freundlich. Kaffe ist zu dünn, vorallem der Eislatte. Die Aperitif sind super.👌 Gläser immer voll. Ich komme trotzdem gerne wieder.

Das Ambiente war sehr schön, das Essen gut aber preislich relativ hoch angesetzt. Der Kellner hat wenig Geduld gehabt und hatte - obwohl an dem Abend kaum etwas los war - Zeitdruck.

Very nice café and restaurant, right next to the botanical garden. When the weather is nice, definitely enjoy the terrace with a view of the greenery. Food of high quality, including the cake.

To be honest, we were a little disappointed. The restaurant seems like an upscale restaurant, at least based on the prices. Portions small, no bread with the salad, no greeting from the kitchen. Toilets dirty, no toilet paper etc. It's a shame, we probably won't be back. Service was friendly and of course the view is great.

We really enjoyed coming here because the place is very nice and the food is good. Today we wanted to have a few drinks and a little something to eat in the direction of the castle. I ordered at the bar and was told that this site only serves coffee and cake. So I just ordered drinks. A few minutes later, the table next door received a full meal, whereupon I reported to the staff. Instead of making amends or apologizing, the person responsible disappeared and spoke to his colleagues. We were left speechless. A pity.

Today, while we were already seated on the terrace, we were greeted by the “manager” with the words: “It's raining, you're welcome to stay seated, but we won't serve you!” Mind you, the terrace was fully occupied at the time and the people around us were served accordingly. Extremely unfriendly behavior and definitely not recommended.

It's a great location with a wonderful garden terrace with a view of the Bonn Botanical Garden. Service very good and friendly. Food not run of the mill, but a little unusual. Price performance completely okay.

Very nice atmosphere. Great selection of cakes and sweet treats. Very friendly service. However, it was a bit crowded on Sunday. The staff is a bit overwhelmed and there is only one toilet...with a long queue.

We were invited to a private event and were very satisfied. Only the toilet situation at the entrance is a bit strange. Otherwise, gladly again

Great from planning to the last second. We recently celebrated my mother's 60th birthday here and she, I and all the other guests really loved the location. The planning of the event was very pleasant and personal; requests were taken seriously and implemented. The food was fantastic and the service that evening was also very good. Also highly recommended for a nice dinner or a cozy piece of cake on the terrace.

Very tasty food in a nice restaurant last night. Unfortunately, the service staff was busy all evening loudly restocking the counter with drinks, clearing dishes and cleaning right next to us. Unfortunately, that didn't fit the atmosphere (and the prices) of the Nees at all.

Sehr hübsches und nettes Café/Restaurant mit schönem Ambiente und schöner Terrasse zum Botanischen Garten hin! Wir waren sehr zufrieden mit unseren Speisen und der sehr freundlichen und jungen Bedienung! Gerne wieder!

We have been regular guests at Nees for a long time and have never been disappointed! On the contrary, in the last few months the food in particular has gotten better and better. I always love how beautifully the plates are prepared. And it's always delicious.

I recently ate here and can only say that it was an extremely bad experience. I ordered 2 starters: a root beetroot soup and the vegetable tempura with glass noodle salad. The soup tasted like a sweet and sour soup from the Chinese store. The somewhat reddish color was probably caused by the addition of some root beetroot juice. Since this construct was inedible, I had it returned. The best thing I can say about the parsley root soup is that it was better than the other soup. The vegetable tempura consisted of 2 pieces each of red pepper, green asparagus and eggplant. These were not breaded in tempura batter, but in the batter in which you get the fried bananas for dessert in the Chinese restaurant. The eggplant tempura was soft and slippery - eggplant just doesn't lend itself to being made into tempura. The included glass noodle salad consisted of glass noodles mixed with a mushy, mushy sauce that tasted like the sweet chili sauce mixed with a little satay sauce that you would find in the Chinese store. However, the ambience and location of this restaurant are nice in contrast to the food.

The location is nice and food/drink was ok. Cake had some lint, I was able to remove it. Service but unfortunately subpar. Arrived first and simply wasn't served; But everyone else around me does. It doesn't work at all. I had to run to the waitress twice and in the end pick up my cake myself. Sorry nil. I can't recommend it!

We had dinner at Nees. It's really nice to sit inside and have enough peace and distance from the other tables to have a good conversation. Service was good. Now for the negatives: The food is expensive and bad. The tempura was served mushy on an over-salted glass noodle porridge that tasted more like glutamate than anything else. The quicke was dry and lay on the plate next to a listlessly arranged green salad. The gnocci were average. Only the homemade ginger lemonade was very good. I would go there again anytime and have a nice drink and a chat. But really not recommended for eating at all.

We celebrated our wedding in Nees at the end of October and it was a wonderful celebration. Delicious food, good, courteous service and a wonderful ambience. Exactly as we imagined. The arrangements in advance also worked wonderfully. There was always an open ear and enough time for our questions and requests. We would want to celebrate there again at any time! This service is no longer a given today!

By far the best Wiener Schnitzel in Bonn

Wir hatten über die Sendung "mein Lokal dein Lokal" gehört, das der Küchenchef auf einen Stern hinarbeitet. Hübsche Location im Bonner Süden. Passt eigentlich. Die Gerichte waren wirklich gut, prima Fleischqualität. Da sind sie auf einem guten Weg. Allerdings ist alles Andere nicht, aber auch nicht annähernd Sterne-verdächtig. Papier-Servietten? Schwaches Weinangebot, und alle deutlich überteuert. Kellner mit breitem Kettchen und sagen wir ausbaufähigen Manieren. Zum Abschluss fragten wir nach einem Cognac, den gibt es nicht, dafür wurde ein "Bourbon" angeboten. Schwacher Abgang.

Wir sind immer wieder gerne dort. Schöne Atmosphäre, nettes Personal, gute Karte.

Wir sind seit langerZeit "Genießer" von Nees. Gerne kommen wir im Winter als auch im Sommer in den schönen Garten.

Theoretically very nice café, unfortunately we couldn't try it. When we came in (and half of the terrace was empty), the waiter pointed out that “he already had too many guests.” We offered to get the three coffees ourselves. That was also “too much work” for him. OK then not….

Wir kamen zufällig hier her und hatten einen sehr schönen Abend. Ansprechendes Ambiente, kreative Speisekarte, hochwertige, leckere Speisen und vor allem ein sehr freundlicher Service. Absolut empfehlenswert!!

Hallo, wir hatten die Ochsenbäckchen. Portion zu klein, nicht gewürzt, und das Fleisch zu fest! Wir waren schon öfter da, aber wir werden nicht mehr kommen.

Quiche Lorraine was delicious, rhubarb spritzer was fruity, and the espresso macchiato was artfully decorated. The background music was pleasant and the waiters were attentive. I can recommend the cafe. Next time maybe a piece of cake or cake, the offer seemed very tempting. :O)

Beautiful café with a delicious selection and great ambience. The cake and tea were great. The one waitress (who unfortunately didn't serve us) was extremely friendly. Unfortunately the other waiter didn't at all. He slammed the menu on the tables, forgot about us several times, including not bringing part of the order, not once smiling or being customer-friendly in any way, and then "empowering" a strange woman that she could just get a pillow from us take us (which of course wasn't the problem), but the way it was done was. He was also extremely awkward when paying and “forgot” the invoice (only a payment receipt) and then acted in front of his colleague as if nothing had happened. So gladly again but with different waiters

Mit 4 Freundinnen auf der Terrasse. Unverschämte Bedienung .Schepperndes Abräumen, Anrempeln eines Stuhles beim Abräumen, frechste Antworten. Wenn der Mann bei mir arbeiten würde hätte ich ihn sofort hochkant rausgeworfen. Krasser Widerspruch zwischen dem nach aussen getragenen hohen Anspruch des Cafes (auch in den Preisen ) und dem Service. Gastronomie z.T. mäßig. Vor dem Eiskaffee wurd ich von meinen Freundinnen als "ungeniessbar" gewarnt.

Tolles Ambiente, nette Bedienung, wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und kommen gerne wieder.

Sehr schönes Café/Restaurant, besonders im Außenbereich. Die Preise sind recht hoch, was sicher auch der Lage geschuldet ist. Kaffee und Kuchen waren sehr gut, das Personal war freundlich.

Die Portionen hätten durchaus etwas größer sein können in Anbetracht der Preise. Ein Amuse-Gueulle hätte es etwas ausgleichen können…. Vor- und Hauptspeise waren sehr gut, die Crème brulée mit Granatäpfeln war nicht so gut, zu flüssig und zu wenig süß, die Farbe der Creme wenig ansprechend, schade. Ansonsten haben wir uns sehr wohl gefühlt und kommen auch gerne nochmal wieder.

Gutes Restaurant in schöner Gartenlage und angenehmer Aussenterrasse. Das Essen war lecker und preislich angemessen. Hervorheben möchte ich den Service, schon lange habe solch einen freundlichen und professionellen Service in der Gastronomie nicht mehr erlebt. Empfehlung! 👍😃

Wir haben unsere Hochzeit im NEES gefeiert und sind absolut glücklich! Der Kontakt vorab war sehr freundlich und unkompliziert. Wir haben das gesamte Restaurant gemietet und konnten unsere Vorstellungen sehr individuell umsetzen. Das Buffet wurde auf unsere Wünsche angepasst und war hervorragend. Auch die Torte über Fassbender war ausgezeichnet. Das Team war sehr freundlich und engagiert und hat uns klasse unterstützt. Wir sind froh so eine tolle Location für unseren besonderen Tag gefunden zu haben und sind rundum zufrieden. Können das NEES uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen! Tausend Dank für alles :-)

Das Restaurant ist wunderschön gelegen - direkt im botanischen Garten. Wir waren so begeistert vom Frühstück, dass wir zum Kaffeetrinken nachmittags noch einmal wiedergekommen sind. :)

p: Lecker. Super Wiener Schnitzel. Mittelteuer. Entspannt. Freundlicher Service c: keine Tischdecken. Alles auf die nackten Blechtische. Nicht schön. Werden deshalb nicht wiederkommen.

Wir möchten uns nochmals ganz herzlich beim ganzen Team, beim Koch und bei unserer tollen und freundlichen Kellnerin bedanken. Für den Special-Drink ♥️. Es war einfach klasse.

Wir waren heute für 4 Stücke Kuchen & 4 Cappuccino = 37 EUR im Cafe Nees; das ist schon ein happiger Preis. Die Bedienung an der Kuchentheke war super gestresst und unfreundlich. Das permanente Umbauen von Metalltischen war sehr laut und störend. Fazit: 1 Stern für das Ambiente im Botanischen Garten, 1 Stern für die Qualität von Kaffee und Kuchen. Mehr hat sich das Cafe nicht verdient. Wir kommen nicht wieder. Übrigens: im Eingangsbereich des Cafés steht ein Schild, dass man für eine 5 Sterne Bewertung bei google 1 gratis Heißgetränk erhält. Dies nur als Hinweis mit Blick auf 5 Sterne Bewertungen...

Wir haben im Juli unsere Hochzeit im Nees gefeiert und sind total begeistert. Einerseits vom tollen Service und Ambiente. Andererseits vom super leckeren Essen (mediterranes Buffet) und den leckeren Drinks. Wir wurden von der Planung bis zur Hochzeitsfeier super betreut und haben uns rundum wohl gefühlt. Gerne würden wir mehr als 5 Sterne vergeben für die tolle Location und Mitarbeiter im Nees! Eine klare Empfehlung für Feiern jeder Art, insbesondere für Hochzeitsfeiern!
