Our favorite restaurant on Rügen. We have eaten there many times and are always thrilled! The food is excellent. Great atmosphere with very friendly staff. The service is absolutely top. We'd love to come back.

It was our first time there and we really liked it. As soon as you enter the restaurant you are rewarded for the journey. You actually feel like you imagine it would be on the real Nautilus. Furnished with attention to detail. We also really enjoyed the food and the service was very friendly. The only thing I was missing was a little history about the restaurant. What was it before, how did it come about and how long did it all last? You have a little time to read while waiting for your food and there are plenty of questions. We can happily recommend the restaurant.

The restaurant is visually stunning, absolutely not run-of-the-mill. The service is super friendly and on the ball. There are still no 5 stars. The noble fish platter was delicious, but I expected a homemade sauce and not a ready-made hollondaise.

I can't write anything about the rooms on site as we only visited the restaurant. However, that was impressive. The entire interior is based on an old submarine. Of course, there was no aquarium in the nautilus back then. However, with a little imagination, you believe that you are on an exploration trip and see the underwater world outside. The food was simply the best we ate on our entire vacation. So simply put, unsurpassedly delicious. Our big thanks go to the service force. Hello! We were there for 2 days. It was beautiful, the good Lord took his time there. The surroundings are so peaceful, the captain's suite is lovingly furnished. The welcome was very warm and every question I had was attempted to be answered. The staff, caretakers, etc. were great. Friendly, nice, good team. We felt right at home there. We'll be back Kind regards

I was breathless when I walked into the restaurant today. The atmosphere is extremely beautiful and unique. The food was very tasty and a lot. The staff is very attentive and accommodating. Extra requests are implemented immediately. I can only recommend the restaurant. We will definitely come here again.

We stayed in the beautiful Hotel Nautilus in Putbus/Neukamp for a week. We had a captain's suite with a view of the bay. A dream. The suite was beautifully furnished with its 38 square meters. Everything was very clean and lovingly furnished. On the first day we had a small problem with the stopper on the sink. We let them know and when we came back from breakfast everything was already fixed. Breakfast was rich and there was something different to choose from every day. The staff were all friendly and attentive. So we immediately realized that we preferred a latte macchiato and got one every day. We ate in the restaurant in the evening on 4 days. You just have to see it from the inside. Every detail is recreated from the Nautilus submarine. Simply amazing. Here too, the employees were all super nice and attentive. And the food is just great. Requests for changes were noted and implemented immediately and without any “murmurs”. In any case, it is advisable to make a reservation, otherwise it could happen that you do the journey for free. All in all, we were thrilled with our stay, where the price-performance ratio was also good. We'll definitely be back. Be it the hotel or the restaurant.

Went to the Nautilus restaurant yesterday. Extraordinary ambience that stimulates children's imagination. The staff very friendly. The menu is absolutely delicious. Would go again.

Update from October 24th, 2024 Unfortunately, a service worker tears down everything that the kitchen has built. The food was, as always, very good. Sufficient portions and very well presented to the eye. The problem started with the drinks. Unfortunately, the Diet Coke wasn't as fresh as you're used to. The answer was that it was poured fresh from the bottle. Topic settled. The service staff came by several times at all the other tables and asked if everything was OK or if something was missing. Unfortunately that wasn't the case at our table. Well presented. But why we are writing this update is that when we wanted to pay the bill, the question was what to give back. Begging the guest for a tip. We have never experienced anything like this before and were shocked that something like this happened here. Without words. But as I said, a service person can tear everything down. Whether we will come again is currently up in the air. OLD: You wouldn't believe what's inside the building. Incredibly beautiful. Here the word “dive” takes on a whole new meaning. Nice and friendly staff and great service and food. Be sure to reserve in good time. We'll definitely come back. Thank you for the hospitality.

We ate in this very special restaurant. At first we feared that the really great decor would be the main attraction of this place. But far from it, the food was fantastic, the service professional and very friendly. Upon request, we were even sent a recipe for a meal that we particularly enjoyed. A service that really cannot be taken for granted. A very “big” recommendation for this house from us!

Wir waren in diesem sehr besonders gestalteten Restaurant essen. Zuerst befürchteten wir, dass die echt tolle Einrichtung der Hauptanziehungspunkt dieses Lokals wären. Aber weit gefehlt, das Essen war fantastisch, der Service professionell und sehr freundlich. Wir haben sogar auf Wunsch später noch das Rezept eines Essens zugeschickt bekommen, das uns besonders gut schmeckte. Ein Service, der wirklich nicht selbstverständlich ist. Eine ganz "dicke" Empfehlung für dieses Haus von uns!

There is such a friendly and nice employee working at the bar. I was very surprised by their willingness to help.

We were there for 10 days a few weeks ago. We were lucky that we had great weather. The service was very nice. Breakfast was also plentiful. Maybe a small note, since I also worked in the breakfast service myself, a little more variety, maybe make a herb curd myself, cut other fruits into the fruit salad, or put other cheese or sausage platters, but otherwise everything was great. Maybe change the dishes on the restaurant's daily menu, otherwise it's really tasty. There are also hidden places where you can just be by yourself. You can enjoy the peace and nature in these places. We'll definitely be back!! It was sooooo beautiful there, unfortunately too short. We wish the team all the best, stay healthy and see you soon. I had the fillet of Iberico pork with port wine and tarragon jus, on tagliatelle, vegetable nest and sour cream, it was very, very tasty!!! I can only recommend it!

a very nice hotel. We were very happy with the staff, service and rooms. There was always a contact person who responded to our wishes. Only the food left something to be desired. We have been to this hotel several times and the food was of better quality.

The Nautilus is always worth a visit. Whether in summer or winter. The building looks unspectacular from the outside, but the interior is worth seeing.

I'm only rating the restaurant here because we've only visited this one - twice so far and we'll definitely be back! Unique ambience, a visit would be worth it for that alone. However, it would be a shameful omission not to experience the excellent food. My fish platter was sensational and my husband, who unfortunately cannot eat fish, was also extremely happy with his meat dish. The portion size was generous and the service was friendly. Clear recommendation!

Were here for dinner on September 17th, 2024. It was a delight for the eyes and the taste buds! The service was also exceptionally good...we are already looking forward to our next visit....

Our visit to the Nautilus restaurant on Rügen was a real highlight. As soon as we entered the restaurant we were fascinated by the extraordinary furnishings. It's like stepping straight into the world of Captain Nemo - the rooms are designed to make you feel like you're in a submarine. The wealth of detail with which the maritime backdrop was recreated is impressive and creates an incomparable atmosphere. Lunch was also a treat. The menu offered a fine selection of dishes, with the fish specialties particularly standing out. Everything was fresh and excellently prepared, and the flavors harmonized perfectly. We were particularly impressed by the fresh fish dishes, the regional products and the well-balanced spices. It was noticeable that a lot of emphasis is placed on quality and freshness here. The service was also friendly and attentive. We felt well looked after at all times. The combination of delicious food, a unique ambience and the courteous staff made our visit unforgettable. If you are on Rügen, you should definitely not miss this experience restaurant. We can highly recommend the Nautilus and will definitely come back!​

Wir wohnen auf der Insel und laden immer wieder gern Freunde und Familie ein, um einen schönen Abend zu haben. Schon im April wurde uns von einer Servicekraft erzählt, dass der vorherige Koch von 2022/23 nicht mehr dort arbeitet und es einige Gerichte vorerst nicht mehr gibt. D.h. Anfang des Jahres war die Auswahl an Speisen sehr reduziert. Nun waren wir Anfang September 24 wieder im Restaurant und auch das letzte Mal. Einen Koch scheint es wieder zu geben, aber leider schmeckt es nicht mehr. Ich bestelle immer den Pannfischteller und vor dem Kochwechsel gab es 3! unterschiedliche Fischsorten. Vorgestern gab es für 26 € nur noch ein kleines abgeschnittenes Seelachsfilet. Schade, dass ich mein Handy nicht dabei hatte! In einem wirklich kleinen Fischpfännchen gab es nur noch dieses eine kleine Seelachsfilet mit Bratkartoffeln und einer sehr dicken, eher pampigen Sauce. Es sah wie eine Kinderportion aus. Letztes Jahr schmeckte die leichte Senfsoße hervorragend, jetzt kann ich eher abraten diesen „Pannfisch“zu bestellen! Schade, schade ich kann dieses Restaurant nicht mehr empfehlen. Anmerkung zum Gericht unserer Freunde: Spanferkelbraten mit Soße war lecker, aber keine Kruste, da das Gericht aufgewärmt schien und die Kruste ungenießbar.

We went to the restaurant spontaneously based on a recommendation and were lucky to get a table without a reservation. As soon as you enter you feel like you are 20,000 leagues under the sea. So lovingly implemented down to the smallest detail that I can understand why you shouldn't actually take photos. But there is so much to discover that you can't completely resist. The service was great and the food was delicious 😋 sure, the prices are a bit high, but what you get for it is absolutely worth it. If the opportunity arises, we would be happy to come back!

Haven't eaten so beautifully and so well in a long time. So far😊 the ambience is overwhelming. Everything is lovingly detailed. There's a lot to look at and marvel at. From the outside you can't imagine the beauty that reigns inside. Definitely worth a visit.

We had a very nice restaurant visit in the Nautilus. The service was super friendly and attentive. We had the goat cheese, spiced meat, the burata, the vegetarian bowl, the fried fish and the solyanka - everything was very, very tasty, not oily and we can recommend everything. The atmosphere of the submarine resemblance allows you to discover a lot. We really like it there.

It was supposed to be a special evening due to a special occasion, so we reserved a table in good time, knowing that there were so few seats on the Nautilus. We were looking forward to offering our guests something special because after several visits to the Nautilus, we were always thrilled. Even the reception wasn't very emphatic. The service person we were assigned to showed little enthusiasm and actually failed to order drinks and appetizers. Only very brief answers to our questions followed. When we read the menu we were visibly surprised, because on the one hand it was a completely new menu and on the other hand it was really very clear (which doesn't necessarily mean a bad thing). But everything simply didn't fit together and, in our opinion, dishes were simply randomly removed from the menu. Anyway, we wanted to make the most of it and ordered. The courts were more likely to be viewed as sober. My fish platter, consisting of 3 different pieces of fish fillet with roasted potatoes and fried peppers/zucchini vegetables, was quite clear. The fish fillets were very small and also very dry - the taste was gone. The roasted potatoes and vegetables were just too fatty. The situation was similar with the other dishes. The quality of the dishes was below average for all of us. When it comes to the prices of the dishes, I would say that it was simply far too expensive for the quality and quantity. The service staff seemed very listless, which you could also see from their facial expressions and the 1x1 of the operating regulations. To be honest, from the very beginning the Nautilus was always something special that could be recommended to every visitor. Unfortunately, this status of the locality has been lost. Even though I have new kitchen and service staff, this shouldn't be a reason to ruin this once beautiful restaurant, not even the inventory can make up for our disappointment.

My food was subpar. Fried potatoes were floating in the oil, nothing crispy, just like the vegetables were overcooked and the purest flow of oil underneath.

Good atmosphere and nice waiters, but what we didn't like was the menu, which was mainly aimed at fish eaters

We have been coming to this restaurant for over 15 years. This time we were very disappointed, the dumplings were pre-bought and not even properly cooked, they were still raw inside. When we asked the waitress about it, they didn't even apologize appropriately and there was no accommodation, e.g. in the form of a free drink or dessert. Instead, the full price was charged. We don't know yet whether we will visit this restaurant again.

We visited the restaurant for the first time. The design of the restaurant is very successful. You can discover something on every corner and quickly pass the time until the food is served. The staff is very friendly. The food is a bit expensive, but the quality and quantity are correspondingly good. We will eat here again when we are in the area.

Only been to the restaurant and have already recommended it to others! Someone has made their dream come true with huge effort, the equipment is phenomenal. Food is also excellent, even if the new menu appears to have been reduced. All in all: go there (make a reservation!), marvel and enjoy

You have to be here! The restaurant is decorated like the Nautilus in 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea. Very detailed and lovingly made. That alone is a real experience! Highly recommended, along with the super-nice and very attentive service and the fantastic fish dishes! We were definitely not here for the last time.

Like 13 years ago, everything was great

Unfortunately not so great. We were in the restaurant. It was recommended to us by friends (who were here a few years ago). As soon as we arrived, the staff was in an oppressive mood. The ambience was as expected from pictures, an eye-catcher for children, it didn't blow me away. And just the look doesn't make a good restaurant... Unfortunately the food wasn't tasty and it was expensive. First of all, very large portions that a "normal" one can never manage. Furthermore, the potato puree was already solid/dried on the surface, my liver was partly hard and the underside of the same piece was soft. My partner had baked potatoes with quark, which was very heavy on the stomach. (was definitely not fresh) and salmon, which unfortunately wasn't really fresh anymore either. Overall it wasn't very busy and the waiters themselves seemed dissatisfied. Discussions about the roster at the counter and guest conversations about some colleagues leaving recently doesn't make it any better to come here again. I would say that the restaurant had already seen its best days. Too bad, not recommended.

Today we ate at the Nautilus restaurant. We had reserved a table for 3 people for 5 p.m. in the U-boat. We received a very friendly welcome and were assigned a corresponding table. It was still rather empty in the dining room, but that would quickly change. The ambience is really special and fully deserves the description “dining experience”. The menu is clear, but offers a selection of delicacies for every taste. We chose the fried zander, the Neukamper fish pan and the fillet of Iberico pork. Special requests were naturally taken into account and implemented 100%. The dishes were moderately seasoned so that the original taste was only emphasized. For those who like it more strongly seasoned, salt and pepper are available on the tables. The meat was tender and the fish was cooked to perfection. For dessert there was the warm chocolate cake with a liquid chocolate center. What a finish! The bill was absolutely reasonable and the prices were certainly acceptable for most families to take the children on a short culinary journey into Captain Nemo's world. By the way, there is also a children's menu. We weren't guests at the hotel and had a 45 minute drive from our vacation spot. It was definitely worth it for us.

Very good hospitality, the food was excellent and not too scarce, the furnishings are very well presented like Captain Nemo from Julius Verne's story. Simply great if you are on Rügen a must.

Gestern haben wir hier mit vier Personen gegessen und waren sehr angetan. Von außen ist das Restaurant eher unscheinbar, innen jedoch liebevoll ausgestattet im Sinne von Jules Vernes Kapitän Nemo und seinem U-Boot Nautilus. Sehr originell und mit Liebe zum Detail! Aber die Ausstattung ist in einem Restaurant ja nicht alles ... Auf's Essen kommt es vor allem an, und das war großartig. Wir waren begeistert von Geschmack und Frische der Speisen. Auch alles sehr schön angerichtet in ansprechenden Portionen. Und die Bedienung war auch sehr aufmerksam und professionell. Das "Nautilus" kann man bedingungslos empfehlen!!

We had reserved a month in advance because we wanted to be sure that a table in the "U-BOOT" would work out. It should be a nice birthday evening. But as soon as we arrived at the reception it became clear to us that he wouldn't. We were shown into an adjoining room and seated at a table with no reserved sign. Our mood went to zero. When asked if something was wrong, the waitress replied: "Look at it positively, after all you can get something to eat and drink here." We will not visit this restaurant again and will not recommend it to others. Didn't want to give a star, but you can't rate without one.

There's not much to say about the restaurant. The menu was manageable. The food was good. The furnishings were great. We had rented a holiday home. Unfortunately, not everything was great here. Spiders accompanied us all day long. Windows were left open without fly screens and we were busy vacuuming on the first night. There were long black hairs everywhere. The dishes weren't checked, some of them were dirty. The extractor hood was greasy. No hedges or the possibility of making windows opaque. You can watch each other chill out. Busy path and no hedge or bush here either. In the evenings the hikers walked across our terrace. The facility itself is very high quality but I wouldn't book here again. There was no refund, not even breakfast for free because we didn't book directly. A report wouldn't have helped. The first night and the first impression would have been ruined. But I would have expected a different reaction when checking out than actually charging the entire price without a real excuse. And, we know the problem with the spiders, that's everything, just no excuse. And the cleaning lady has long black hair, either.

Applies to the restaurant: The food was delicious, although I remember that the menu used to have more fish dishes... Overall, definitely a recommendation, just because of the furnishings.

We had a fish platter and cod in a beer coating. Unfortunately, neither was tasty at all. The cod was dead cooked and dry. The three types of fish tasted almost the same and were not prepared to perfection, even mushy. Every fish sandwich in the harbor tastes more authentic! “Our” waitress was very unfriendly and short. When asked if there was a change in the kitchen, we only received a curt "yes". Our child's rice pudding with applesauce was fine. When we asked if we could take it with us, the lady brought us a plastic container into which we could pour the remaining food at the table... In short, we are excited to see how long the restaurant will be around.

We were in the restaurant. Very great scenery. Especially for the children. The menu was well chosen. Specializing in fish, of course. The homemade fish fingers for the children were particularly great. The goat cheese was good too, a little more would do. What I found negative was that 1 euro was charged for each portion of ketchup (20ml Heinz from the plastic tube).

Price – service are disproportionate We visited the restaurant on August 2, 2018 at 6 p.m. We were served by the “light seaman Carsta”. We were 16 people and had reserved in advance. We were seated at 3 different tables. It was really hot in the restaurant and the setting sun was in some guests' faces, forcing them to put on their sunglasses. After all the guests in our group had their food, the “light seaman Carsta” noticed that she had “not booked” my mother-in-law’s order. When I asked what there was to drink in “her house” to tide over the breakdown, that counted “Light Seaman Carsta” asked what there was to drink at her house. When I asked again what the restaurant had to drink as a “bridging measure” for my mother-in-law, there was no answer. Disappointing for a restaurant with this price structure and standards and will unfortunately remain in the memory of all of us (16 people)…

Unfortunately, the menu is very limited because there are new chefs, and the delicious platters for two people are no longer available. We were very disappointed as we have been coming here for years.

Really good. We came across this on a tip. It's better to reserve in advance. You can't tell from the outside of the house, but then you walk through the door and you're really in another world. This is really how you imagine J. Verne's Nautilus to be, or that's almost how it looked in the film. Great ambience. And the food and the Nautilus beer were excellent. Prices absolutely justified. This will be on the agenda again for the next vacation.
