My Hao Vietnamese Vegan Cuisine in Nürnberg

The food was very good, but the service when paying was unfortunately terrible. You can't spend the evening in peace because you have to leave straight away after eating.

Unfortunately it has diminished significantly. Were there 2 weeks ago and all of our food was lukewarm or cold, even though the restaurant was almost empty. The peanut sauce tasted like it had been stretched with water and neither the vegan duck nor the vegan chicken can compete with other vegan restaurants :(. I'm super disappointed, otherwise I really enjoyed going there. Also, the drinks are usually a bit too small well too expensive

Sehr unhöfliche Mitarbeiter. Mittwoch 08.01.25. 17:00 Uhr. Sehr schade. My Hao Erlangen war anders. Like Emma, customer that commented one day earlier, exactly same thing happened to us. Rude, arrogant and unprofessional. Even 1 Star is still too much. After ordering we were already pissed off and wanted to leave. At the end we did not leave and regreted after this experience.

This place is not worth visiting. The two female staff working in the afternoon were extremely rude. When you look at them, they immediately avert their eyes with an annoyed expression, as if they’re already irritated by the thought of a customer asking for something. The slim staff member with heavy makeup didn’t even say “Excuse me” or explain the name of the dish when serving food. She just suddenly came, dropped the food on the table, and walked away. Later, I asked the second, fat staff member if they had spicy Vietnamese chili. She frowned and silently pointed to the chili oil without saying a word. That’s not what I was asking for. The staff never checked on our table until we finished our meal. If their English skills are poor, they should at least try to be polite, but the staff here are not only bad at English but also incredibly arrogant. I’ve traveled to Vietnam before, and it was the worst destination I’ve ever been to. The lack of basic manners and poor civic awareness in Vietnam left a terrible impression on me. Today confirmed it for me Vietnamese culture is consistent, even in this restaurant. There is not a single exaggeration in my review. To make matters worse, the food here isn’t even good. I will never visit this place again.

Very good food, huge portions, fast service

This place pleasantly surprised me, we entered without knowing that it was vegan and we realized when we finished because we read it. The PHO soup typical of Vietnam was very good, I thought it came with beef, highly recommended. Their Sushi menu is very good and it also looked like fish, everything was very well prepared and delicious. Good value for money. The service is good as is its atmosphere.

Great experience at My Hao! The staff were super friendly and attentive, making sure everything was perfect. The service was quick, and the waiters were very polite and helpful. I really appreciated that the restaurant was open on Christmas when most others were closed. It was such a relief to find a place with great food and welcoming service during the holidays. The food was fresh and tasty, with good portions. The cozy atmosphere and central location make it a great spot to enjoy a meal. Definitely recommend for anyone looking for good vegan food in Nuremberg!

I'm skeptical of the friendly reviews. The staff here are incredibly rude. I have traveled and dined in many European countries, but I’ve never encountered a place as rude as this. I can speak a little Vietnamese, and the two servers were making negative comments about the customers. It was an uncomfortable experience throughout the meal. Their behavior was also unhygienic—one of them was scratching her head and cutting limes at the same time. Shockingly, all of this happened during a visit of less than an hour. To top it off, one of them used profanity as she watched us leave. Don’t assume that all foreigners can’t understand your language. I felt sorry for the other tourists in the restaurant. I would never recommend this place to anyone.

Wife - “I have been all around the world and no where was as good as here. The density of the soup with the right amount of salt and spice made each bite make me feel like I was in heaven. I loved the softness of the noodles. You get a variety of vegetables so you feel how much healthier this food is. If this place was a religion, I’d join it and worship this food.”

I'm still here at the restaurant, I swear the food is spectacular, and I'm not vegan, if you're looking for a vegan place with the best food in Europe this is the place, only criticism is the natural mineral water natural must be free, amzing FOOOOOOD

The food was really very tasty. I had the bamigoran (probably spelled wrong) and can only recommend it. There was a 2 star deduction for the ambience because it was very crowded. All in all, a clear recommendation

We came to the restaurant without reservation and asked for a table. The employee was not so friendly at the entrance, she was nervous to hear that we don’t have a reservation. She didn’t say something. We waited likely 1,5 minute in silence and wondered what she will say. At the end, she offered a table for 1 hour for us and we sit. The offer was really kind and I appreciate, but we were also ok if there were no place. It was not needed to see a nervous face. The problem is the behaviours of the employee. It irritated us in this way. Restaurant offers total vegan options. We ate crispy duck, gyoza and Miso soup. Generally they were good.

In spring I ate alli, alone, and I loved it. This week I returned with my husband :) We loved it

After the visit (eating + drinking) we left our umbrella at the toilet. We noticed it outside shortly afterwards. We wanted to go back in and get him. They didn't want to let us in because they thought we were toilet tourists. The service lady didn't understand enough German to explain it or didn't feel like it. Another “accepted” guest helped us and then got an umbrella.

A must when we are in Nuremberg from time to time. Food is top class and everything is vegan! My favorite: The Pho!

Small update. 5 stars on the food. Service is also good, but the restaurant is a bit inflexible when it comes to special requests. I wanted the crispy duck on the fried rice instead of tofu and charged a surcharge of €5 for it... Well. The ambience is nice inside, there could be fewer tables, the outside area is well thought out. Kitchen should be open later than 9 p.m.

The food is great! There were 4 of us and everyone tried each other and was always thrilled. Portions are good too, you'll be full! Service was a bit slow for us, as the very nice waitress was alone, so everything took a little longer. We'll be back! 😁

Outstandingly good taste. I had the Nasigoreng, in total we had 4 different dishes and we were all very enthusiastic.

I wanted some hot noodle soup, so I found this vegetarian restaurant，ordered pho soups and vegan Gyoza. They were both delicious, a little bit salty for me.

It's really great that there is such a vegan restaurant in Nuremberg. The vegan salmon maki sushi was really very good and tasted surprisingly real. The vegan duck wasn't quite as close to the original but still good. The service was also good. However, the toilets were a bit small. second visit there: It was again very tasty and the service was also great.

Super tasty and completely vegan! It's nice that you finally have a real selection. Everything was fresh and tasty, the meat substitute (not always my thing) had a great consistency and taste. My usual meat-eating companion was also very impressed. Also recommended are desserts and starters. The ambience is more of a bistro atmosphere and relatively loud when full, but ok. We'll definitely come more often.

So far the yummiest vegan pho soup I've ever had, good and fresh spices. It was only missing a bit more of the "beef". Otherwise super good! You must book a table in advance, or you will have to sit in the terrace area when it's cold. We were so hungry we didn't mind and the soup kept us warm.

Interesting vegetarian and vegan dishes. The meat substitute wasn't so well received. But the vegan sushi tempura is even more so! Gladly again :)

I've been there several times, I enjoyed it very much every time, I love the summer roll. The food always came quickly and tasted fresh.

This place is a bit expensive, but also the quality and vegan options are amazing.. Your mouth will have a flavor explosion if you eat here. Due to the price, I don't eat here often, but it's a very special treat when I do eat here. It'd be nice to have some sampler options with a little bit of everything instead of needing to pay like 7 euros for every appetizer, but still there's not much comparable in Nürnberg in terms of quality and flavor. I love the chili sauce that's on the table, and I'm someone who grows my own super hot chilies.

Nice service, good location... Otherwise the food was catastrophically bad, I can't understand the good reviews here. Bami Goreng was extremely oily and heavy, no fresh vegetables and relatively expensive. A very bad experience

Really good vegan restaurant! The vegan duck was particularly impressive. Both the “skin”, which was crispy like the original, and the actual taste were really delicious. The portion size is also optimal, it fills you up well. As a starter we had edamame, which had a little too little salt, but luckily there was a salt shaker at the table. The service was also very courteous, but please don't clear an empty plate while the other person is still eating. Overall, the atmosphere in this restaurant was very convincing. It is nicely decorated and gives an Asian touch.

As a vegetarian I was in heaven. Wanted to try everything, but I chose only spring rolls and crispy vegan duck and it was delicious. I really recommend everyone this restaurant.

Unfortunately that was nothing. At that price, I want to make sure I'm getting a pho with flavor and that I'm getting fresh and enough ingredients to at least be satiated. 3 tofu cubes, 3 mushroom pieces, ... with the selection in Nuremberg you don't need that. Ambience is fine, the location is of course positive. Other dishes were not tested.

I came across your restaurant by chance on my day trip to Nuremberg. The vegan duck immediately made me curious, so I stayed spontaneously and was not disappointed. Very friendly service, and of course very tasty, crispy, fresh vegetables and all in the middle of Nuremberg. We recommend.

Update: One more star for the restaurant's polite and constructive response to this comment. 🤝 I would like to give 5 stars just for the fact that this vegan Asian restaurant exists in southern Germany. 🙌🏽 Otherwise I would have to drive from Baden-Württemberg to Peace Food in Essen, and that is significantly further away than Nuremberg. However, the ambience and the quality of the vegan food also seem to be better at Peace Food, as I found it only average here: Hardly seasoned, hardly any spiciness and few fresh, refined ingredients. A pity! Most of it is made from Seitan, gluten-free is almost non-existent. And it is very expensive! The place doesn't look nice either, it's a simple snack bar, a bit shabby. But well located and within walking distance right next to the Nuremberg market square. The waitresses were curt, seemed annoyed and uninterested, and you felt like you were being ignored. I've experienced much friendlier and more communicative employees in restaurants! The drinks in particular didn't convince me: They were overly expensive, very sweet or boring in taste and consisted largely of ice. 😳

Food was okay so far. We mainly had starters, all of which were good. My main dish was Ga Sa Ot, which was too dry for me. The soup as a starter was very good, unfortunately they forgot to mix in the coriander. I would go there again, but then more for the soups

Great vegan food. We had the chicken ramen, crispy duck, spring rolls w/ mince meat, and gyoze - all were delicious. Kind service, too.

I had booked the table for 9:15 and I was there. When I ordered the food they didn't let me dine in and were saying to just take it away. Due to this I was unsatisfied with that. I was really disappointed with their service.

Excellent food, location on the Pegnitz is great, seating rather pragmatic and not very inviting. However, the lovingly prepared food easily makes up for this. Fast, fresh, tasty

We both ordered Pho and unfortunately we weren't that impressed. The broth was bland and one pho had fried onions in the broth which made everything taste like that. Service was good.

Always incredibly delicious! Ate sushi today. A feast for the eyes and the palate, the homemade lemonades are also a delight!!! Always happy to come back.

Because of your vegan crispy duck we now have to drive 70 km to Nuremberg more often. The sushi was also super tasty. Thank you for having such a delicious vegan restaurant... and not even expensive! 🙂👍🌱
