MUN in Waldeck

We had dinner there on a wonderfully cool autumn day. The ambience of the restaurant is quite appealing. The service also deserves a 1 with stars. What was particularly pleasing was the fresh preparation of the dishes, which were also very tasty. Dear team, keep it up and thank you. We'd love to come back.

We stopped at MUN during our vacation at Edersee and had a delicious meal. Everything fresh and prepared with high quality food. You could taste the love with which the kitchen team prepared the food. Another great ice cream for dessert, what more could you want. If we visit the Edersee again, we would be happy to come back.

The food is great, the location is fantastic and the decor of the restaurant is very modern, friendly and cozy. The vegetarian selection is also very good, which you can't necessarily expect in the region.

Had a drink and an appetizer platter. The gentleman in service was friendly and attentive, and the platter was good as a small snack on the side. Next time we would like to eat more.

The location is quite nice; You can look out over the lake from the terrace if you sit at the front. We only had a café crema and a cappucino. Both were as bad as the service. The male service worker was obviously in a bad mood and therefore his tone was very rough and short. The Café Crema was thin and was probably more like colored water. The cappucino also tasted like watery coffee with a bit of milk foam and was far from a proper cappucino. We won't be coming back here again.

We came across this great restaurant by chance after a very strenuous bike ride and had an excellent meal on the terrace with a view of Lake Edersee. Everything was very tasty, freshly prepared and the taste was simply great. Had linguine with basil pesto and buffalo mozzarella, Pacceri Gamberi and tiramisu. Will definitely come back next time we're here.

Delicious burger and again delicious cocktails. Location also great, right on the lake. The only thing is: Scheff and his employees shouldn't gossip publicly about other employees... That's not possible.

Well, everything looked so great on the internet. Staff running around aimlessly. Several employees are on the move ordering and delivering food and drinks, but no one knows which table has already been served. Sometimes it is brought to the tables incorrectly or twice. If you want to pay you should be patient. We ate burgers, unfortunately the patty wasn't really good (bulk-produced goods). Fries were served in a fancy metal basket, but unfortunately it was unsuitable because the ketchup and mayonnaise ran out of the basket.

Overall, decent Italian cuisine. Sometimes very tasty. But if you order the same food from the menu a few days later, the same dish may be completely different, not nearly as good, as it was a few days before. Then it says, “different supplier” or “different chef” or “the ingredient xy was all there.” Very unfortunate for the guest. The potential is there, but there is a lack of consistency and continuous professionalism.

We were here with 9 people and all in all everything was good. The location is great, the staff are very friendly. Unfortunately, two dishes arrived late, which meant slight deductions in the B grade. The food itself was good to very good. Would come again again.

The food at Mun was very tasty. The burgers can be highly recommended and the service was very accommodating. We'd love to come back. When the weather is good you can sit outside with a view of the lake.

A really beautifully located restaurant, only separated by a street, right on the water. Beautiful seating options were also created outside using pallets and chairs. The restaurant was probably 50-75% full and the other guests and we seemed to have mostly come for dinner. Unfortunately, the staff was extremely overwhelmed. Some guests waited more than an hour for their food. In the meantime, others got up because even the drink orders weren't taken. I also waited almost 30 minutes for my bottle of water. With two employees in the restaurant, there is probably no war to be won given the number of guests. Maybe it makes sense to simply take out a few tables and have fewer, but satisfied guests who order properly and don't leave the store cursing. It also creates a nicer working atmosphere for the staff because they get it. Unfortunately, I also got a bit annoyed at some point - sorry at that point. I will definitely visit the restaurant again, but never again during rush hour or outside of the holidays. Maybe things will go better then.

I ordered food and asked for no onion and no mayo. Both arrived on my plate. What did not arrive was sweet potato fries which I ordered and never received. How hard can it be?

Overall a nice restaurant with a nice atmosphere. The service was very quick and super friendly. Now this: No arugula on one arugula pizza, forget the pepperoni on the other pizza. It can happen... But unfortunately cutting is not possible with the bad knives there. In the end we tore our pizzas rather than cutting them 🙄🙈.

The service is very friendly but our food was a disaster. We ordered baked potatoes and a cheese burger. The baked potato was floury and already quite cooled down, the chicken was cold and so were the mushrooms. The burger was only lukewarm and the fries were also cold and very limp. We went here on a recommendation but the food was a disappointment.

Today we wanted to go to Edersee with the family (10 people), so yesterday I found out which restaurant was open on Mondays. The mun, according to Google and its own website, 7 days a week. So we set off for over 100km to enjoy the day at Edersee. But unfortunately the mun is not open 7 days a week. There is a note on the door that says Thursday-Sun open from 12 p.m. The Thursday has been crossed out with a colored pencil and has been replaced by Mon. 200km there and back for free. Prepared for the mun and then find a restaurant that is open on Edersee on Mondays. Oh yes, there is hardly any internet at Edersee to see if anything is open. Please update the opening times

The *Mun*! A “must” if you are on holiday at Edersee. Everything is just right and it is delicious 😋. We felt so comfortable and will definitely come back 🥰...

We were pretty disappointed. There was no beer on tap or in bottles…. And it's supposedly been going on for 2 days, so can we organize something? The food came on a plastic tray with paper on it…. It was ok but not anymore.

Be careful and careful when paying with card in this restaurant. The incident occurred in April 2023. The two of us had dinner. When paying with a card, an error was made when entering the numbers into the reader. Instead of €45.00 (with tip) the amount of €450.00 was entered. We didn't notice this straight away, but only when we checked the debits at home. We confirmed this on site that evening with the PIN. The restaurant owner was then contacted and confirmed this error. He then confirmed in writing that he would return the money. Up to and including today, even with a seizure order from the court and bailiff, we have not yet got the money back. Update as of June 10, 2024: Despite the court order, payment has not yet been made. The bailiff also did not obtain any payment.

Waited 30 minutes to even order. When we were finally able to order, the waitress interrupted and walked away. After successfully ordering, we waited forever for the coffee, and then at some point the ice cream arrived. Some varieties no longer existed. The water we ordered for coffee came when we wanted to pay. Annoyed staff, definitely never again. Is not recommended. There are much better cafés where you feel comfortable.

☆ Prices on the internet are not all correct! ☆ Incredible. We came to dinner at 6 p.m. on a cloudy day and there was no more Radler or wheat beer. The pizza for the main course was also forgotten. But that came quickly.

We were at MUN today and were a bit surprised by the menu. The menu on the Instagram page had significantly more choice. Our choice fell on burgers and pizza. The burger buns were large, unroasted and straight from the bag. You had to look for the meat patty on the burger and was at most half the size of the burger bun. Add two slices of tomatoes, a lettuce leaf, two to three onion rings and a little pickle. Unfortunately the fries and pizza were unsalted. Unfortunately, many things were no longer available, such as parmesan, which was actually a topping for the pizza. The burgers really had no similarities to the photos shown here, unfortunately we didn't take any photos.

Unfortunately, there is almost no alternative to the restaurant if you have rented a holiday home there. That's why it's often quite crowded. You should make a reservation, but we managed to get a spot two evenings in a row The food is good, everyone can find something. However, the portions are small to normal. But I prefer that to huge portions. The ambience is beautifully designed and the finished cocktails from the bottle are surprisingly delicious. The homemade lemonades were great. We sat at the same table two evenings in a row. My stains from the night before had not been removed. Likewise the dirt from the guests beforehand, which was definitely older than 24 hours because it was already there on the first evening. The staff is either new or not very experienced. Without exception, every waitress forgot something from our order, so we sometimes had to ask several times. Even getting a menu sometimes took several requests. Sometimes our corner of the terrace received little attention, so you had to get up and ask in the restaurant. All in all, you can eat and drink comfortably there, but you shouldn't be a choleric or someone who gets upset easily.

We spontaneously decided to eat at MUN. Outside there was a great view of the lake. The Western Burger was very tasty and the Buffalo Chicken Burger was one of the tastiest chicken burgers I've tried! We'll definitely be back!

The ambience of the restaurant is undoubtedly charming, but the overall impression is marred by some disappointing aspects. We had to wait a long time for service and our individual requests were not taken into account. The quality of the Parma pizza left a lot to be desired as the grated!!! Cheese came out of the bag, which diminished the dining experience. Additionally we had to wait over 30 minutes for the bill and at the end we were told that there is no internet to print the bill. Payment was made “cash on hand”🤦‍♀️. We had no other choice. It is unfortunate that such deficiencies detract from the visit, especially given the appealing ambience.

A dream! We celebrated our civil wedding at MUN and have only been raving about it ever since. From the first appointment when we discussed the menu to the actual day of the celebration, it was perfect. The food was lovingly prepared and was incredibly tasty. A spontaneous platter of delicacies was no problem at all and was beautifully served. The MUN also took over the printing of the menu card. The owner, chef and all employees were incredibly friendly and accommodating. We are really looking forward to the next occasion to dine with you again! Simply great! Kind regards Jessy and Anton

We were able to reserve a table on Sunday evening without any problems. The service was very friendly and in a good mood. The drinks and food came very quickly and tasted wonderful. We particularly liked the Pinsa, which had a very crispy base but a super fluffy dough. The Penne Salmone e Zucchine also tasted good and fresh. The prices are normal, for 2 main courses and 2 drinks we paid €31.50. Gladly again!

Achtung und Vorsicht beim Bezahlen mit Karte in diesem Lokal. Der Vorfall ereignete sich im April 2023. Wir haben zu zweit zu Abend gegessen. Beim bezahlen mit Karte wurde ein Fehler bei der Eingabe der Zahlen ins Lesegerät gemacht. Statt 45,00 € ( mit Trinkgeld) wurde der Betrag von 450,00 € eingegeben. Wir haben dieses nicht gleich bemerkt, sondern erst bei der Kontrolle der Abbuchungen zu Hause. Bestätigt haben wir das vor Ort, an diesem Abend, mit der Geheimzahl. Der Gaststätteninhaber wurde daraufhin kontaktiert und bestätigte diesen Fehler. Daraufhin bestätigte er uns schriftlich das Geld zurückzugeben. Bis einschließlich Heute, auch mit Pfändungstitel per Gericht und Gerichtsvollzieher haben wir das Geld noch nicht zurück.

Trotz Reservierung keine Tische bekommen, erst nach hin und her

Wir waren vor einer Woche dort zwei mal essen und müssen sagen sehr freundlich uns gegenüber. Sind auf unsere Wünsche ein gegangen und können es nur weiter empfehlen wir werden auf jeden fall wieder hin gehn wenn wir am edersee sind.

Leider scheint es der Inhaber dieses Restaurants es nicht mehr nötig zu haben das Saison Geschäft, welches sich nunmal von April bis Oktober am Edersee abspielt mit zu nehmen. Ich war am 3 Oktober dort zum Essen, an einem verlängerten Wochenende und Feiertag und Ferien in NRW. Es gab nur noch ca 50 % von dem Essen auf der Speise Karte, keinen einzigen Cocktail, keinen Kuchen am Nachmitag, obwohl es wunderschönes Wetter bei 25 Grad im Schatten war. Finde es wirklich sehr schade, es gibt keine echte Konkurrenz für dieses Restaurant auf Scheid. Der Inhaber sollte dieses Mango denke ich fürs nächste Jahr schleunigst überdenken, da ein enttäuschter Gast der extra dort hin fährt, da Scheid nunmal kaum Durchgangs Gäste von seiner Lage hat höchst wahrscheinlich nicht mehr wieder kommt.

Wir wurden von der Mitarbeiterin sehr freundlich begrüßt und konnten uns einen Tisch aussuchen. Es ist ein sehr modernes Restaurant mit offener Küche. Auf unseren Hund wurde sofort eingegangen und Wasser gebracht...Klasse! Das Essen war reichlich und hat wirklich gut geschmeckt! Sehr zu empfehlen!

So einen schlechten Service hatten wir noch nie !!! Lange Wartzeiten , sehr unfreundliche Bedienung. Nachdem wir uns Beschwerd hatten, meinte die Bedienung,dass andere Gästen auch lange warten müssten, und die Gäste selbst Schuld wären. Denn wenn die Bedienung an den Tisch kommt, sollte man wissen, was man möchte. Nur blöd, wenn es das Ausgewählte nicht mehr gibt und man sich umentscheiden muss. An den Edersee immer wieder gerne, hier Essen gehen.... .NEIN DANKE

Nie mehr wieder!!! Bestellt hatten wir „normale“ Fish&Chips. Serviert wurden Süßkartoffelpommes und frittierter Lachs (bäh). Ohne Erklärung, ohne Entschuldigung. Letztlich wurde uns gesagt, dass man keine Pommes mehr gehabt habe und wohl auch keinen weißen Fisch. So nach dem Motto „sei froh, dass Du überhaupt was bekommen hast. Sorry, aber das sage ich den Gästen vorab oder spätestens beim Servieren. Statt beleidigt zu sein, wenn wir nicht zufrieden sind. Total unprofessional, total überforderte Bedienung und Chef. Schade, denn Ambiente mit Seeblick und Inneneinrichtung ist nett und eiiiiigentlich den Besuch wert

Sehr schöner Ort am Edersee. Essen ist lecker. Bedienung sehr freundlich. Aussicht sehr schön. Preise etwas teuer leider. Aber liegt daran weil es sonst nichts anderes in der Nähe gibt

Wir waren super zufrieden. Kellnerinnen waren beide total freundlich. Auch die Küchenchefs/Köche haben beim Eintritt ins Restaurant herzlich gegrüßt und uns willkommen geheißen. Essen war wirklich sehr lecker, Preise fair und Portionen groß. So solls doch sein☺️ mein Freund und ich kamen mit unserem Hund. War gar kein Problem. Der Hund 🐕 bekam sofort etwas zu trinken und einige Streicheleinheiten. Da es abends kühl war, saßen wir drinnen, alles sehr schön eingerichtet. Wir wollen demnächst nochmal mittags hin und dann in der Sonne draussen sitzen. Schön mit Blick auf den See! Echt Klasse! Jederzeit gerne wieder ☺️👌

Das Essen ist sehr gut, der Service ist zuvorkommend und witzig und die Aussicht auf den Edersee ist toll.

Das Essen schmeckt echt lecker und vom Preis geht es auch, nur die Bedienung ist anscheinend nicht sehr aufmerksam. Man wartet ewig auf sein Essen, es wird kein Besteck gebracht und man wird gerne des Öfteren übersehen.

Wir waren am Samstag im Mun.Wir hatten um 20 Uhr einen Tisch reserviert.Eine Freundin war zuerst da,wir verspäteten uns etwas.Unserer Freundin wurde gesagt,dass sie schonmal bestellen sollte,da viele Gerichte schon aus seien...ah an einem warmen Samstagabend zu Monatsbeginn.Wer konnte damit rechnen,dass Gäste kommen!Als wir dann eintrafen und bestellen wollten war so gut wie nichts mehr da.Keine Burger,kein Fleisch,keine Bratkartoffeln. Wir sind dann gegangen!Wir suchten dann also um 20:45 mit einem Baby ein Restaurant,dass noch geöffnet hat. Die 2 Sterne gibt es nur,da wir vor 2 Jahren einmal dort waren und da alles soweit ok war. Wir werden nicht wieder kommen.

Essen könnte für den Preis wirklich besser sein. Ansonsten tolles Ambiente

Das Lokal war früher mal 1A mit Sternchen, ich war zur Neueröffnung das erste mal dort und bin danach immer wieder gerne dort essen gegangen. Leider hat die Qualität des Essens nachgelassen, sehr schade.

Best Burger in town. Das Fleisch war perfekt zubereitet. Auch der Käsekuchen dort zerfließt praktisch auf der Zunge, sehr lecker! Das Personal ist kinderfreundlich und haben dem Kleinen sogar einen Keks gegeben. :) Sehr gutes Lokal. Nur weiterzuempfehlen!

Mit der Familie waren wir dort zum Mittagessen und hatten auch unser Baby mit dabei. Die Bedienung war freundlich und zuvorkommend, das Essen sehr lecker frisch. Nebenbei gab es noch ein kleines Bespaßungsprogramm durch den Koch für unsere Kleine. Wir werden dort auf jeden Fall wieder einkehren.

Wir waren heute Abend mal wieder im MUN - wie immer der Hammer. Das Essen hier ist jedesmal suuuper lecker, qualitativ hochwertig und toll angerichtet. Ob Burger, Pinsa, Schnitzel oder „nur“ ein Salat oder Bruschetta - alles ein Genuss und eine Augenweide. Tip: Die selfmade-Limonaden sind klasse ! Ja, auch wir haben schonmal ein paar Minuten länger gewartet, wenn es voll war oder vielleicht auch mal eine neue Servicekraft angelernt wurde - aber Leute, bleibt doch mal entspannt - hier sitzt man so sensationell, egal ob drinnen bei toller Einrichtung und Ambiente oder draussen auf der Terrasse mit Blick auf den See - hier will man doch eigentlich eh nicht mehr weg, also was machen da schon 15 Minuten 🤷🏻‍♂️. Und das ist ja auch nur die Ausnahme !!!! Der Service ist super nett und aufmerksam, und die Wartezeiten fürs Essen sind völlig in Ordnung. Rundum tolle Location. Wir sind gern und regelmäßig hier, obwohl wir fast ne Stunde bis hier an den A… der Welt fahren müssen. Fazit: Alle Daumen hoch !!!

Die Location sah sehr schön von innen aus. Hochtische und Bänke lockerten das Ambiente auf. Man hatte einen schönen Blick auf den Edersee. Der Außenbereich war auch sehr schön und mit noch schönerem Blick auf den Edersee Leider war der Service semi gut, eigentlich "katastrophal". Alle Mitarbeiter schienen komplett überfordert zu sein, es gab keine klare Linie und keine Führung Getränke wurden spät aufgenommen und diese kamen dann auch spät - schlechte Orga hinter der Bar Essen war kalt wenn es an den Tisch kam und beim Kassieren entstand auch Chaos Schade ... es hätte so schön sein können.... Essen war so lala Der Salat, der auf der Karte stand beim Schnitzel und beim Lachs entpuppte sich als "Deko" 5 Scheiben Salatgurke, ein paar Zwiebelringe und eine Tomatenscheibe, natürlich auch ohne Dressing Für den stolzen Preis hätte man einen kleinen Beilagensalat erwarten können in einer separaten Schüssel. Speisekarten waren komplett verknickt und klebrig, teilweise eingerissen - man sollte sich eine neue Art der Präsentation der Karten überlegen..... An einem Samstag Abend war das Mineralwasser aus!?! Ich würde sagen, schlechte Planung...

Als Studentin ist es sehr schwierig ein gutes und bezahlbares Restaurant zu finden! MUN hat mit seinem leckerem Essen und den günstigen Preisen, die der Chef aus Prinzip trotz Inflation nicht erhöht, mir dies ermöglicht. Dabei hatte ich einen wunderschönen Blick auf den Edersee und konnte wurde mit angenehmer Ambiente-Musik beschallt. Der Chef könnte ruhig die Preise erhöhen und seinen Mitarbeitern zu Gute kommen lassen, da diese mit ihrem Charme, Freundlichkeit und einer guten Portion Humor einen sehr guten Job im Service machen! Für den Ausblick, die gute Bedienung und Geschack würde ich sogar 1-2 Euro mehr zahlen! Viel Erfolg weiterhin mit ihrem tollen Geschäft!

Tent heeft een prima uitstraling en ambiance. Vlotte en vriendelijke bediening. Kunnen alleen geen Mojito maken. Voor een relaxte zit kan je er prima toeven.
