Three nights in a row for a couple on the Edersee. Three different meal sets. All of which were amazing. The menu is simple and robust. They’ve taken the best items from a few different cuisines and mastered them. Something for every craving. Pommes frites are crisp and seasoned, and drinks aren’t over filled with water or syrup. Easily the best restaurant in Germany after over 6 years of living here.

The MUN restaurant is truly amazing! The view is fantastic, and the walkway along the piers right next to it is perfect for a relaxing stroll after dinner. The food tastes really good, and the portions are just right. The service is incredibly friendly and professional. Plus points: The small beach area and the indoor/outdoor options mean there's something for everyone! The prices (€20-30 per person) are very fair. Definitely worth a visit!

The MUN is a truly beautiful restaurant, with a fantastic ambiance and incredibly delicious food. The service is top-notch! Super fast and super friendly. We've been there twice now, and nothing was left to be desired. The prices are good and perfectly reasonable for the restaurant's location and the quality of the food. Our kids love the burgers and the delicious ice cream. There's also a great selection of drinks and cocktails. I'd been here before in the spring and was delighted by the lovely ambiance. I ate there today and was incredibly impressed. A truly delicious bowl with shrimp and couscous. Amazing! Highly recommended. The service was so friendly. This place is simply a must-try! We go to Scheid once a year, but this is the first time here with the new owner. Top-notch!

The food was truly delicious. Everything is freshly cooked, and you can taste it. The spare ribs, in particular, were incredibly tasty. The portions are generous, so you'll definitely be full. The atmosphere also looks very cozy and relaxed. I ordered the food for pickup (no long wait, despite it being freshly prepared). The fried onions on the burger were also homemade, kudos!! It's a beautiful restaurant/bar with a very nice and cozy interior. The outdoor area is also very stylish and cozy, and it's definitely worth a visit for young and old. The staff are super friendly, and we felt very comfortable. There were two of us with our dog, and he was also given a very friendly welcome. He was immediately brought a bowl of water and even received a few treats at the end. The food was delicious and fresh, and the prices were completely reasonable. The homemade lemonades were also great, but the cocktails, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic, were also great.

Drink and snack break on the Knorreichenstieg hike. A beautiful spot with a great view of Lake Edersee, very friendly and fast service, and good drinks and food. We had bruschetta, a non-alcoholic cocktail, and a non-alcoholic wheat beer!

We visited the Bar Restaurant Mun on the Edersee this weekend, and it was absolutely fantastic. The staff are incredibly friendly and attentive. You immediately feel at home. I ordered the burger and my wife opted for pasta. Both were really delicious. The drinks were also excellent. A little tip: Maybe use a little less salt on the feta dish; the cheese already adds enough flavor. 😉 Otherwise, everything was great. Thanks for the wonderful evening. We'll definitely be back.

The food was okay, but no culinary highlight. The fajita dish was rather plain – a side dish label would have been sufficient. The pinsa, on the other hand, was a pleasantly large size and tasted really good, a small saving grace. The service? Relaxed to slightly irritated – even though the place was almost empty. You can tell that a lot of travelers stop by, which is no surprise given the location. There aren't many alternatives in the area. Okay for a quick stop, but not a place you'd head straight for.

Very friendly service, delicious food; the warm goat cheese on salad was a flavor explosion, and the spaghetti with salmon and the one with feta and shrimp were also delicious. We had cocktails with it. The view and the weather were perfect; a great end to the day. Highly recommended 👍🏻 The weeds and the self-service area could use a bit of gardening.

Super good restaurant. There were two of us there with our large dog. It was no problem at all. We had a mixed lemonade, which was more like a fruity, sparkling cocktail. Highly recommended. For lunch, we had the vegetable tortillas with fries. The vegetables were perfectly fried and deliciously marinated in a small cast-iron pan. You can fill the tortillas yourself, so they don't arrive soggy. There were three different sauces to go with it. If you only use guacamole, the dish is even vegan. Unfortunately, the card machine didn't work when we paid. The employees quickly provided a PayPal address that we could use as an alternative. Super uncomplicated. Beautiful restaurant. Excellent service, very considerate and helpful. The view of the Edersee after a hike around Scheid was a great way to end the day, close to Strandsee. Delicious lemonade and a small, tasty menu. One criticism would be that they no longer serve pizza and the Thai curry is incredibly spicy, but that could easily be changed.

Nach einer längeren Wanderung kehrte ich spontan im Restaurant MUN auf der Halbinsel Scheid am Edersee ein. Ich nahm auf der Terrasse Platz, von der aus man einen schönen Blick auf den See hat. Kurz nach meinem Eintreffen wurde ich freundlich begrüßt und erhielt direkt die Speisekarte. Meine Getränkebestellung wurde zügig aufgenommen. Die Speisekarte bietet für jeden etwas: Man findet z. B. Wiener Schnitzel, Lachs oder Pastagerichte. Daneben gibt es Burger-Kreationen, Pizzen und eine Auswahl an kleinen Speisen wie Bruschetta, Calamari oder Bowls. Ich entschied mich für den Boston-Burger mit Pommes und Rotkrautsalat. Alles war sehr lecker, gut gewürzt und reichlich – genau das Richtige nach einer aktiven Tour. Die Wartezeit war trotz gut gefüllter Terrasse völlig in Ordnung, und der Service war durchweg freundlich und aufmerksam. Besonders angenehm fand ich die entspannte Atmosphäre mit Blick auf das Wasser. Auch das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis passte für mich. Fazit: Ein gelungener Einkehrstopp am Edersee – gutes Essen, netter Service und toller Ausblick. Gerne wieder!

The food is truly excellent. Unfortunately, the menu didn't match the online menu, which was initially disappointing. And only when we asked did they list what was out of stock. After ordering, someone had to change their order because they were out of stock. It was incredibly busy, which speaks volumes about the place, but unfortunately, it also resulted in long waits for service. The food was really good, though. The only annoying thing was that they kept leaving the door open, even though we asked them to please close it, as some people were freezing. Nevertheless, it's definitely worth recommending; we'd come back! :)

Absolutely not recommended. We had a reservation for six people yesterday. Upon arrival, we were told there were no seats available because the guests outside had gone inside, so we were unlucky. A family of three who were standing directly in front of us were seated at a table for six. It's better to go to the pizzeria up by the parking lot than to spend money there, where it seems you only get friendly service if you're a regular. We'd like to thank you again for having to leave with two deeply disappointed children.

Longest meal ever. Food was really good. Food was fresh so assume that drove the slowness, but a 30 minute wait for a forgotten gelato? hmm.. We weren't in a hurry, but two hours for a pizza, ceaser salad and gelato was a bit excessive. The real issue was that their credit card reader was down and we didn't have cash. Might be a good idea to tell the customer this information before they order.

We were at the MUN and had booked a table for three people for 5.30 p.m. The first impression was great. The waiter brought us the menu, which had very few dishes. At the same time, he explained to us that many of the dishes were already sold out. This presented us with a big problem as one of us was gluten intolerant. There was no dish available for her. I have never experienced most of the dishes being sold out by 5.30 p.m. The kitchen was not prepared for this day. On days like this, you have to plan better; you have to have food in stock for the relevant dishes. We had a drink and left without anything to eat. The waiter was very nice and apologized a thousand times for the disaster.

The three of us were at MUN today, we had made a reservation a while ago and were prepared for a cozy end to the day. Everything turned out differently than expected. The menu came, completely different to what we had previously seen online, then also a daily menu, the waiter was very nice and didn't pose a problem, but he gave us direct information about what was no longer available on the menu and that was a lot (no potatoes, no pizza, no salmon, no this, no that) since one of us unfortunately has a severe intolerance, that posed an additional "problem", we just drank something and left again. We could have saved ourselves the trip, at 5:20 p.m. in a restaurant far away from the crowd, on a Sunday, we have never experienced such a poorly organized kitchen. The star is for the nice man from service.

The food was good. However, the lemonade and cocktails were not at all enjoyable. Far too much water added so that you can barely taste anything. Tequila Sunrise for €9 was a lot expensive for the quality, I didn't taste the tequila. You should also make a note on the website that you cannot pay by card. If so, Paypal or cash. Unfortunately, Paypal didn't work either because the reception in the store or on the terrace was 0-1 bars. In the end you had to pay in cash. Luckily we had pocketed €50.

Modern ambience with a view of Lake Edersee

Absolutely recommended, we were here in the preseason and sat outside on the terrace in wonderful weather, with a view of the lake, and ate delicious calamari and perfectly prepared spaghetti with asparagus. Found a place to feel good and enjoy.

Very tasty and attractively arranged food. Unfortunately, there is less on the plate for the new season! There is considerable potential for improvement in the service. The young lady who served us had no overview of her tables. After a few rounds of waiting for forgotten side dishes, multiple questions as to whether we had ordered this or that food, we had to wait 25 minutes, during which we asked three times to be allowed to pay. As we were about to make our way to the counter to finally pay, she came to the table. The young man, who apparently had just been trained, showed more potential in his early days. We hope that some of this will skip over.

I would like to give the house more than one star - but despite positive opening times on the Internet (own site and Google) we found ourselves in front of closed doors. Anyone who thinks that we might forget to update the opening times can be assured that we felt “arrested…..” at the latest when there was a handwritten board in front of the closed restaurant saying that it was open 🙈🙈🙈🙈 P.S.: Just by the way - the fact that you can still enter the data for Corona contact tracing on the MUN pages does not show that you take customers and the Internet seriously.

We stopped at MUN during our vacation at Edersee and had a delicious meal. Everything fresh and prepared with high quality food. You could taste the love with which the kitchen team prepared the food. Another great ice cream for dessert, what more could you want. If we visit the Edersee again, we would be happy to come back.

The location is quite nice; You can look out over the lake from the terrace if you sit at the front. We only had a café crema and a cappucino. Both were as bad as the service. The male service worker was obviously in a bad mood and therefore his tone was very rough and short. The Café Crema was thin and was probably more like colored water. The cappucino also tasted like watery coffee with a bit of milk foam and was far from a proper cappucino. We won't be coming back here again.

We came across this great restaurant by chance after a very strenuous bike ride and had an excellent meal on the terrace with a view of Lake Edersee. Everything was very tasty, freshly prepared and the taste was simply great. Had linguine with basil pesto and buffalo mozzarella, Pacceri Gamberi and tiramisu. Will definitely come back next time we're here.

Well, everything looked so great on the internet. Staff running around aimlessly. Several employees are on the move ordering and delivering food and drinks, but no one knows which table has already been served. Sometimes it is brought to the tables incorrectly or twice. If you want to pay you should be patient. We ate burgers, unfortunately the patty wasn't really good (bulk-produced goods). Fries were served in a fancy metal basket, but unfortunately it was unsuitable because the ketchup and mayonnaise ran out of the basket.

Overall, decent Italian cuisine. Sometimes very tasty. But if you order the same food from the menu a few days later, the same dish may be completely different, not nearly as good, as it was a few days before. Then it says, “different supplier” or “different chef” or “the ingredient xy was all there.” Very unfortunate for the guest. The potential is there, but there is a lack of consistency and continuous professionalism.

We were here with 9 people and all in all everything was good. The location is great, the staff are very friendly. Unfortunately, two dishes arrived late, which meant slight deductions in the B grade. The food itself was good to very good. Would come again again.
