The food is delicious, but the service staff's attitude is very bad. Every black employee is ok. The rest are very rude to customers. The small, Asian employee is very unpleasant to customers.

Extremely friendly and welcoming staff. We arrived late and with a large group - the staff made everything possible for us to still have a nice and chill dining atmosphere and were super friendly. Food is tasty and plenty and the front-cooking kitchen gives the place a real honest and authentic vibe. PS: even though the menu does not seem to have that many veggie options, you can swap meat with tofu in almost every dish!

Friendly staffs that speaks English. Love all the food from their menu. Not the first time eating there, I had been there many times when I had Thai food cravings. The portion was huge too! Worth it! The one that I ordered was crispy duck with red curry! Awesome as always!

Went here for lunch today. The food was above avarage but also not quite 5*, the portions were rather big. Service was great and attentive. The thing I liked least was the atmosphere. It was quite noisy inside and the smoke and steam from the open kitchen often spilled over into the seating area. Considering everything, the food was rather expensive.

The restaurant is packed, so it's worth making a reservation in advance. Large portions, fair prices, very tasty...

Delicious and very palatable. Went to eat on Sunday. The shop has moved to a place near the train station exit. It's bigger than before, with lots of seating both inside and outside. The staff are lovely, both Thai and German. Beaming This is the highlight. There are pictures of the food we ate to tease you 👍🏼🍺

I am the friend of the guest who found a fly in his drink at this restaurant and I would like to sincerely apologize on behalf of my friend and especially the fly. I think it's great that the restaurant reacted so calmly and didn't allow itself to cause unnecessary fuss over a small fruit fly. Finally, one should not forget that a fly is also a living creature that is apparently just as welcome in this restaurant as paying guests. I admire the philosophy of this house: live and let live – in the truest sense of the word. So if you are a fan of natural diversity on your plate or in your glass and are not afraid of contact with the little flying companions, you should definitely try this restaurant. A place where you can dine so close to nature is truly rare!

The food here is really delicious, so I recommend everyone to visit this restaurant - but only if you are skilled at scaring away flies while eating.😜😜😜 During my visit there were flies everywhere in the dining room, but apparently that's not a problem with the restaurant, but with the guests, who just don't react quickly enough. In any case, it was only after drinking that I realized that I had probably involuntarily consumed protein. The staff was nice enough to offer me a new drink, but made a point of saying it wasn't a problem on the restaurant's part. So if you're looking for a culinary adventure with a little "lively" challenge, you've come to the right place!

Very quick and friendly service, would recommend sharing the main courses between two people as the portions are very generous. Had two starters, a main course and a dessert as well as drinks for around €30 per person.

Edit 2024 Unfortunately the cuisine has deteriorated or the taste has changed so much that we no longer come. At first we thought the kitchen had had a bad day, but the next time we visited we were also disappointed with the taste. Unfortunately, price/performance is no longer suitable for us. Too bad! Therefore I only give 3 stars instead of 5. After we experienced a terrible failure in a "Thai restaurant" a few days ago, we resorted to Mun Mun, one of our two favorite Thai restaurants. The queue in front of the restaurant in itself speaks for the restaurant. After a short wait, we got a table. Service as always quick and friendly. The food was also very, very good as always. No matter what we have eaten in the last few years, be it here in the new restaurant or in the old, small restaurant. There was never any reason for criticism and that means something in today's fast-moving times when restaurants are closing because they lack staff in the kitchen and service.

As always, very fine - authentic down to the last detail. We always enjoy coming here, waiting for a place is just part of it. And the fact that on Friday afternoon around 4 p.m. you find a crowded restaurant with a total of 10 people waiting for a table says it all...

Nice Thai restaurant with quick and friendly service, attractive ambience and very tasty food (it's pretty close to Thailand). The bad thing is that you can't make a reservation and have to wait so long in the cold. Still not good: ordered Thai pet (in Thai) and received it very mildly 😳😳 January 2025

Good food, unfortunately overpriced! Fast 'clearance' - no longer comfortable.

It was okay, definitely not one of the best.

The food, ingredients, flavors, and portions were impeccable, leaving nothing to be criticized. While the price is relatively higher compared to other Thai restaurants, it is absolutely worth it. So, in terms of food, there are no complaints at all. However, the biggest issue with this restaurant is the service. The staff appeared listless, with an air of indifference, and their attitude toward customers was extremely perfunctory. I’ve always been generous with tips, but this time, after being ignored multiple times despite trying to get their attention, I decided to just round up a special small amount to let them feel the furious of the customer. My personal opinion, the service at this restaurant has crossed the line and has enormous room for improvement.

It's great that the site says you don't need a reservation. But the reality is different. Luckily there is honghong a few minutes away. And it's significantly cheaper too.

A few years ago, I used to come here often for lunch since the prices were very reasonable and the quality was excellent. Today I came back and was shocked to see that the prices have almost doubled from a few years ago… The food is still very good but I must say, charging 21€+ for a curry is outrageous, considering that the place gives more casual dining vibes (you often have to line up and then sit on a bench at a long table shared with other guests) than luxury vibes…

Very tasty and the service is friendly, no question. But the price monster has also struck at Mun Mun - the food has become twice as expensive within 5 years.

Update: I have been a loyal customer of this restaurant since 2019 and have always appreciated it. Unfortunately, this time I had a very disappointing experience. When I politely asked for tap water, I was refused on the grounds that it was not allowed. However, guests at the neighboring table (native German speakers) got tap water without any problems. The waitress's reaction was also rude and seemed disrespectful. I feel like my request wasn't taken seriously because of my accent, which was very hurtful to me. Such behavior should have no place in an otherwise esteemed restaurant. Review from five years ago: Delicious Thai food. Portions are very big! Nice outdoor area, the indoor is quite small. We waited 10 minutes sitting and no waitress came around, you actually need to order inside & pay; then they will bring your order to your table 🙂

I used to love eating here and always recommended this Thai restaurant because the service, prices and taste were right. I always came for the fried noodles with chicken, which initially cost €8.90, and the sate gai, which cost €5.00 back then, two or three times a week. Over the last few years the prices have increased so much that I only treat myself to this meal every three months. Sate is now priced at €7.50 and pasta at an unbelievable €16.90! There is a price increase of almost 100%, even though Munich restaurants have become 10-20% more expensive on average. Pure madness and greed for profit. It's no fun anymore. Anyone who lives in the area and often walks past the restaurant knows that it is always busy. I think the landlord deserves a golden nose here. Why not, if people pay the prices anyway. I'm no longer a regular customer, so I'm probably not the only one. If the prices were lower more people would eat there, just like Lidl, but that doesn't seem to be an option. Too bad.

Overall, unfortunately very disappointing. Right at the entrance they just said "here is your table, cards are out", you didn't really feel welcome. The duck and mango sticky rice were below average, (far) too expensive and are still heavy on my stomach today. Will definitely not come back, quality has significantly decreased compared to before. Too bad.

Among all reviews I will write honest one, this place is overrated and here is the several reasons for that. Way too expensive. No, I’m not joking place hold prices like it’s in middle of Monte Carlo. 22€ for a duck. Taste : average. I don’t mind to spend on food in good restaurant but when you have middle heated up oil duck what else can you say. Literally it was 5 of us and we all have tried different dishes none of them worth the price. Feeling sorry for the co worker who invited us. Not sure why prices are like that, it’s not only Asian restaurant around definitely not only good one. Waiting que is too long sometimes and waitress rush people out what is creating an impression that you are not welcome there at all. Literally give us money and go out. Among all I’m not eating there any more.

Ordered a prawn and veggie soup for lunch, 8.50 Euros. What came out was a little bowl for for a child. The one prawn had it's its poop shoot dangling in the soup and the veggies were raw mushrooms. The broth was ok, however very salty. Not feeling full or satisfied, won't come back. The staff is attentive and kind.

Thai food stall in the former Cafe Münchener Freiheit (branch) directly on Münchener Freiheit. Food (duck with wok vegetables) was very tasty (very large portion in a bowl). The atmosphere (inside) was very loud. All of my clothes smelled terrible through the kitchen in the dining room! If again, then only outside.

Disrespectful from the employee (a lady with glasses and a tattoo), according to the other employee she is the boss (manager), I would like to express my dissatisfaction with the behavior of the service staff during my last visit to your restaurant. On Sunday October 20th, 2024 I was a guest at your place with a group of friends and unfortunately inappropriate behavior was shown towards us. This wasn't my first visit to your restaurant, I'm a regular customer!! The staff spoke to us in a rude and disrespectful tone which made the entire visit very unpleasant. A loud tone was used and it gave the impression that the staff assumed we would not be able to pay our bill. This was extremely offensive and unacceptable, especially in a restaurant of your reputation. We felt very uncomfortable and expect a restaurant of this class to treat guests respectfully and professionally. SOIL WAS ALSO FOUND IN THE SALAD BUT WE GOT NO FEEDBACK (NOTHING RESPONDED) AND STILL WE PAYED FOR IT!

Found this plastic thing in my ice cream. Showed it to the waiter and asked what was it. Did not offer to cover the check, I still had to pay for the mango sticky rice. Waiter did not return to me, I looked for her to ask what was the plastic thing. Said it was something from the wrapping. I would have expected more consideration for hygiene and my unpleasant experience.

You can eat very tasty food in this restaurant. The vegetables are always fresh and crunchy, the dishes come quickly, the portions are large and the staff is very friendly. Always enjoy coming here to eat.

The portions are really very large. Unfortunately, the Pad Thai with tofu completely lacked authentic taste. There is still a lot that could be improved. The ingredients were crisp and fresh, but the dish as a whole was simply bland. The high price of €16.90 for the vegetarian Pad Thai is only justified for the quantity, but not for the quality. Outside you sit surrounded by 1970s concrete on the forecourt to the Münchner Freiheit subway station. Inside it's probably quite cramped in a very nicely designed Asian atmosphere, where it can also get busy and loud. Cooking takes place in the restaurant behind glass in a visible area. Mun mun is obviously very popular, from 6:45 p.m. guests were lining up outside the door for a seat. Personally, I think the place is overrated and I won't come back because of the inflated prices. I'm happy to pay more, but then it has to be special. This doesn't apply to the food, service or ambience. They are probably too spoiled because of the high demand.

Came to Germany for 7 days and really missed Thai food. This shop can make you miss you. The taste is more delicious than many Thai restaurants. The Thai staff can request Thai flavors. Highly recommended.

I've been there twice and tried the soupy noodles and Pad Thai. It's delicious and the portions are plentiful. There was a lot of meat in the soup noodles, and although it had a slightly spicy taste, it was still filling. Because there is so much Pad Thai, half of it is thrown away, which is not good for the environment. And it's not a cheap restaurant, but the employees don't really care about the customers. He didn't even say hello and just came in sullenly, took our order, brought us food and ordered noodles, but he didn't even give us chopsticks and when we asked for them, he just left them behind. While I was waiting for my friend for 10 minutes, I saw two employees flirting with women passing by in front of the store, one employee meeting a friend, and two employees (cooks) smoking... And although it was delicious, it felt awkward among the many employees. I don't plan on going again because I don't want to just sit there and wait for people to make eye contact.

Did a take out order of red duck curry and was very impressed with the taste. Their menu is extensive and I will be back to try other dishes. The restaurant is located right at the entrance to the train station and boosts an outside seating and a very chic indoor dining atmosphere. Staff is friendly and service was prompt.
