I had the R3. Incredibly delicious, not too sweet, not too salty, perfect balance and amazing flavor. Large portion. Very good, friendly, and personal service! Professional, but not stuffy! Special thanks to Ploy!!

The five stars that everything truly deserves – the food was excellent, the service was excellent – ​​I simply can't give because I'm annoyed: I ordered still water with my meal, received tap water, and had to pay €4 for it. Annoying.

I originally gave 5 stars, but unfortunately, I have to revise my rating. Part of our group of eight (including three small children) was already seated at one of the large tables. When the rest of us arrived, we were still asked to leave – in sub-zero temperatures. While we waited, smaller groups were seated immediately. When we inquired, we were told that larger groups generally have to wait longer, as they clearly prioritize optimal occupancy. While I understand the reasoning behind this, I don't approve of the communication: No alternative was offered (e.g., coming back later or splitting up at several tables). The impression was unfortunately: "We're busy – if you want to eat here, we decide how it's going to happen." This doesn't make you feel welcome as a guest. Recommendation: Don't come in large groups. Therefore, unfortunately, only 1 star.

A poplar thai restaurant, conveniently located outside the train station. Expect to queue during peak hours. Clean comfortable seating with friendly helpful staff. A favourite is the crispy duck with rice, a must try. The chicken basil was tasty and the papaya salad was standard. No Thai ice tea served 😢. Otherwise one of my go to place for Thai food in munich.

In this restaurant, which we visited for the first time, we unfortunately had to freeze in the middle of winter due to a malfunctioning air conditioner, and even had to eat our meal wearing our coats. However, I must confess that despite this misfortune, the food, the service, and of course the atmosphere were so good that we didn't want to leave the already busy restaurant. If you're really hungry, this is indeed a Thai restaurant with excellent dishes that will fill you up. The portions are almost large enough for two people, and the selection is very diverse. If I hadn't been so cold, I definitely would have given it a perfect score.

Great authentic food, friendly service, good value for money

We went there on a Saturday evening based on a recommendation. We didn't have a reservation, so we had to wait about 10 minutes for a table. It was incredibly busy, but we were still served quickly and very courteously. Our drinks and food arrived very quickly. All the dishes we ordered were delicious and the portions were huge. Therefore, the slightly higher price was completely justified.

I've asked for three vouchers twice, as requested via email, but haven't received a response. Apparently, they don't need any guests.

It was our first time there, and we'll definitely be back. Delicious Thai food in a lovely atmosphere right by Münchener Freiheit. I had Gai Yang Isan, marinated chicken from the display case. It tasted fantastic. The service was also very friendly. We were completely satisfied.

We did not have a reservation, but we were able to find a table without waiting. The portions are quite large, and the food is tasty and well prepared. It is a bit pricey, but you are also paying for the nice ambiance and atmosphere. It may not be the best Thai food we have ever had, but it is still worth trying, especially if you are nearby.

I went to MUN MUN - Thai Cooking with friends, and the restaurant deserves an absolute 5 stars in every respect. And I have to say: the service was top-notch! Super friendly, attentive, with a touch of humor – but never too much. Despite the restaurant being full, our food arrived quickly, and everything was perfectly coordinated. A thoroughly enjoyable evening with a great atmosphere, fantastic food, and a great team... After dinner, we went to the Christmas market, which is right next door. Highly recommended!

This was my first time at Mun Mun – Thai Cooking, and I was really pleasantly surprised. While the restaurant is a bit pricey, the food is incredibly delicious, fresh, and authentic. The portions are generous, the flavors are perfectly balanced, and you can tell that they cook with a lot of love. What's more, I had what was probably the best Pad Thai I've had in Munich so far. I'll definitely be back!

Great food. Menu is larger and more varied than typical Thai place. Very busy location, so it seems that service struggles to keep up a bit. Right at the Münchner Freiheit train station, so easy access.

A fantastic Thai restaurant in Schwabing with a unique concept! I was there again today and I'm thrilled. Although the restaurant is quick and easy (thanks to the great live cooking), the food is of very high quality and authentic – and all at fair prices. The yellow curry, the Pad Thai, and the beef noodle soup were perfect. A particular highlight: the large communal tables. It's easy to meet new people, which creates a refreshing and sociable atmosphere. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to enjoy good Thai food quickly and in good company.

MunMun at Münchner Freiheit is absolutely fantastic! The food is outstanding – fresh, flavorful, and prepared with great care. The portions are truly generous; one is usually enough for two people. I had the roast duck, which was cooked to perfection: beautifully crispy on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside. Since the portion was so substantial, I had the leftovers packed up – and it still tasted amazing the next day! The service is very attentive and friendly, and the food arrives very quickly, despite the restaurant often being full. You can tell that the team is well-coordinated and genuinely cares about their guests. A reservation is definitely recommended – those who arrive without a reservation might have to wait a bit. But: The wait is absolutely worth it! A truly wonderful experience – top-notch food, fast service, and excellent value for money. I will definitely be back!

The food was too sweet for me. I ordered fried chicken with ginger and vegetables, but I don't understand why there was so much sugar in it. For someone like me who never uses sugar when cooking, it just wasn't to my taste. The staff, however, were friendly.

For what felt like ages, we searched for this place — Münchner Freiheit should be an easy landmark, yet the address led us in circles, as if the restaurant were enchanted to stay hidden from hungry travellers. A venue may serve delicious food, but if guests cannot find it, the magic fades quickly. We recommend the owners update the location information and signage, because no guest should feel like they are chasing a ghost restaurant while their dinner plans vanish into thin air. A frustrating quest, and sadly, one we could not complete.

A classical Thai restaurant in a vibrant part of München. Highly recommended for Thai food lovers. The food was delicious. We did order The curry was full with the flavours. The portions were good. I found it a bit pricy but it is worth it. Depending on the dish hour, the preparation time of the food after taking the order varies. We had to wait for a while for our dishes to arrive to the table. The ambience is calm and pleasant, and the outside seating area is also nice. The staff is highly friendly and welcoming. They always have people waiting in the line during the peak hours, so please check in advance because they do not take table bookings. I would definitely recommend this place.

They served me green curry that already went sour. And when they said they would fix it they literally took it back and reserved me in the SAME plate. JUST WARMED. How was I sure? Cuz they didn't even bother to rearrange the plate and it look like how it was when I took a bite out of it the first time. Then they had the AUDACITY to be racist when we refused to tip them (given the horrible food), implying our country is the reason why we can't afford to tip, when this waiter didn't deserve it in the first place, given they were slow, non responsive (ignoring our Asian table in favor for other tables with more westerners), and rude.

The food is delicious! When you eat in, the portion sizes are large, but when you order takeout, they're significantly smaller for the same price. For me, the value for money isn't there.

The food was good by Asian standards and arrived fairly quickly. However, the service was terrible. The red-haired lady who served us had a terrible attitude. We'll be back and hope the next visit will be better.

I spent over four years in Thailand and would say that the Pad Krapao Gai at Mun Mun is one of the best I've ever eaten in Europe. Yes, the price is reasonable and the dish is somewhat adapted to European tastes, but the quality is good 😃

The food at Mun Mun was really delicious and it was definitely worth waiting in line for half an hour. I really liked the red curry and pad Thai.

MunMun never makes me disappointed! I visited many times already and it always has good quality with good portion! Even if it is a bit pricy, i would visit here for sure, instead of taking risk from other Thai restaurant paying cheaper price.

The food was very good, the price was high, but the value was good. At €40 per person, however, I expect that strangers won't be seated at my table. The waitress reacted a bit snappily when I told her I didn't want that, since we weren't in the cafeteria. Just get smaller tables or live with it.

I’ve lived in Thailand for 6 years and Germany for 14. I go back to Thailand twice a year and this restaurant was the best and most authentic Thai food I’ve ever had in Germany. I had the Laab Gai, and papaya salad. Which was perfectly seasoned and cooked just like Thailand. My friends had the massaman and penang curry which also was exquisite. Probably not always ideal for the German pallet who like less spicy and more savoury. But for those who want that fresh Thai taste this is the place to go.

The food was very good, with relatively cheap prices for Munich. They made the outdoor area unexpectedly cool, as it’s located right next to the train station.

Mass processing with premium taste, but zero style We hadn't even finally taken our seats when the first server was already standing next to us: menu in hand, asking for drinks. We'd like to see first. 30 seconds later: Another server, same question. We'd like to see first. Another minute later: Drinks ordered. A start as nervous and hectic as a jackhammer on speed. And it continued in exactly this rhythm: everything fast, everything functional, everything without any calm – but friendly. And yet: The food itself was truly outstanding. Top quality, very well prepared – no criticism possible. Unfortunately, it was served in a setting that was more reminiscent of an airport terminal than a restaurant: loud, hectic, rushed. Style? None. Prices? Overpriced. Value for money? Not right for me. Conclusion: Culinary excellence, atmospheric weakness. Anyone who values ​​relaxed, stylish dining will hardly be happy here. I've actually had more relaxed meals at the airport.

Very cozy. Friendly service. Since I'm allergic to some ingredients, I was able to skip them. The dishes are freshly prepared. Super fresh vegetables and delicious food! It was easy to have a conversation, even though it was a bit noisy. The food arrived at different times; it would have been better if it were served at the same time.

Appetizers: 2 spring rolls, only 1 spring roll was brought. I complained. Then nothing came for a while – and then 1 chicken skewer. 🤷‍♂️ I accepted it because something had finally arrived. The skewer was simply dry and tough, even worse than the spring rolls. My main course, duck, was especially fatty. The taste was below average and not worth the visit. The seating, with simple beer benches without backrests, matched the service well. Service was limited to someone who spoke English.

As much as you could find closest authenticity Thai dishes for German, this would be one of the places in Munich. Great service indeed. Plenty of different menu items from various parts of Thailand. Just bewear of cooking odor if you have meeting afterward.

It comes with rice, which makes it feel like a complete meal — very good value. • 🍜 Duck noodles – A bit on the sweet side, but the duck was tender and the broth was comforting. • 🍢 Beef satay – Grilled well, flavorful, and the perfect savory contrast to balance out the sweetness of the noodles. The portion sizes are just right, not too heavy. Perfect for lunch or a light dinner. Staff were polite, sweet, helpful, nice and the service was fast. We ordered fish and had to wait ONE HOUR. By the time the fish finally arrived, we were completely out of appetite. We only ate a third and had the rest packed to go. Unfortunately, we forgot the bag when we left. We came back 5 minutes later, but the food was already gone. The server told us it was too late and was thrown away. We are very disappointed. We had to wait an hour for the food, but they couldn't even wait 5 minutes. 😭😭

We had lunch at Mun Mun today. We had a great spot. It was in the summer, with the waterfall in the shade – wonderful. It was truly amazing, with a summer-in-the-city feel. Plus, the service was excellent and extremely friendly. Then came the food. For me, it was the tastiest, freshest Thai beef salad I've ever eaten. I've eaten quite a few in my life 🙂. Highly recommended!
