Caterpillar in food. Very gross. Unfortunately the kitchen doesn't seem to be very hygienic.

Long queues...if you want to eat outside...it's better to get it yourself. Food very good

Among all reviews I will write honest one, this place is overrated and here is the several reasons for that. Way too expensive. No, I’m not joking place hold prices like it’s in middle of Monte Carlo. 22€ for a duck. Taste : average. I don’t mind to spend on food in good restaurant but when you have middle heated up oil duck what else can you say. Literally it was 5 of us and we all have tried different dishes none of them worth the price. Feeling sorry for the co worker who invited us. Not sure why prices are like that, it’s not only Asian restaurant around definitely not only good one. Waiting que is too long sometimes and waitress rush people out what is creating an impression that you are not welcome there at all. Literally give us money and go out. Among all I’m not eating there any more.

Ordered a prawn and veggie soup for lunch, 8.50 Euros. What came out was a little bowl for for a child. The one prawn had it's its poop shoot dangling in the soup and the veggies were raw mushrooms. The broth was ok, however very salty. Not feeling full or satisfied, won't come back. The staff is attentive and kind.

I recommend this restaurant. Delicious, big bowls. Definitely coming again.

Thai food stall in the former Cafe Münchener Freiheit (branch) directly on Münchener Freiheit. Food (duck with wok vegetables) was very tasty (very large portion in a bowl). The atmosphere (inside) was very loud. All of my clothes smelled terrible through the kitchen in the dining room! If again, then only outside.

Really nice Thai food in Munich and big portions (however, smaller than last time). We tried the noodle dishes and the sticky mango rise for dessert and everything was very tasty!

Disrespectful from the employee (a lady with glasses and a tattoo), according to the other employee she is the boss (manager), I would like to express my dissatisfaction with the behavior of the service staff during my last visit to your restaurant. On Sunday October 20th, 2024 I was a guest at your place with a group of friends and unfortunately inappropriate behavior was shown towards us. This wasn't my first visit to your restaurant, I'm a regular customer!! The staff spoke to us in a rude and disrespectful tone which made the entire visit very unpleasant. A loud tone was used and it gave the impression that the staff assumed we would not be able to pay our bill. This was extremely offensive and unacceptable, especially in a restaurant of your reputation. We felt very uncomfortable and expect a restaurant of this class to treat guests respectfully and professionally. SOIL WAS ALSO FOUND IN THE SALAD BUT WE GOT NO FEEDBACK (NOTHING RESPONDED) AND STILL WE PAYED FOR IT!

Been there because the Google reviews Som Tom papaya salad very salty and I order fish the flavors very strong and salty too..

Found this plastic thing in my ice cream. Showed it to the waiter and asked what was it. Did not offer to cover the check, I still had to pay for the mango sticky rice. Waiter did not return to me, I looked for her to ask what was the plastic thing. Said it was something from the wrapping. I would have expected more consideration for hygiene and my unpleasant experience.

You can eat very tasty food in this restaurant. The vegetables are always fresh and crunchy, the dishes come quickly, the portions are large and the staff is very friendly. Always enjoy coming here to eat.

The food was simply MEGA. Love the authenticity. 🫶🏽😋 P.S.: if you have only eaten fried noodle box from Asian snack bar, Yumyum noodles, or Maggi sauce in your life and insist that you are not open to authentic specialties... these two dishes (fish & papaya salad) might be very unusual for you be.

The best Thai curry I've ever eaten. Chicken skewers with peanut sauce were also really tasty. Absolute recommendation!

The portions are really very large. Unfortunately, the Pad Thai with tofu completely lacked authentic taste. There is still a lot that could be improved. The ingredients were crisp and fresh, but the dish as a whole was simply bland. The high price of €16.90 for the vegetarian Pad Thai is only justified for the quantity, but not for the quality. Outside you sit surrounded by 1970s concrete on the forecourt to the Münchner Freiheit subway station. Inside it's probably quite cramped in a very nicely designed Asian atmosphere, where it can also get busy and loud. Cooking takes place in the restaurant behind glass in a visible area. Mun mun is obviously very popular, from 6:45 p.m. guests were lining up outside the door for a seat. Personally, I think the place is overrated and I won't come back because of the inflated prices. I'm happy to pay more, but then it has to be special. This doesn't apply to the food, service or ambience. They are probably too spoiled because of the high demand.

I've been there twice and tried the soupy noodles and Pad Thai. It's delicious and the portions are plentiful. There was a lot of meat in the soup noodles, and although it had a slightly spicy taste, it was still filling. Because there is so much Pad Thai, half of it is thrown away, which is not good for the environment. And it's not a cheap restaurant, but the employees don't really care about the customers. He didn't even say hello and just came in sullenly, took our order, brought us food and ordered noodles, but he didn't even give us chopsticks and when we asked for them, he just left them behind. While I was waiting for my friend for 10 minutes, I saw two employees flirting with women passing by in front of the store, one employee meeting a friend, and two employees (cooks) smoking... And although it was delicious, it felt awkward among the many employees. I don't plan on going again because I don't want to just sit there and wait for people to make eye contact.

Did a take out order of red duck curry and was very impressed with the taste. Their menu is extensive and I will be back to try other dishes. The restaurant is located right at the entrance to the train station and boosts an outside seating and a very chic indoor dining atmosphere. Staff is friendly and service was prompt.

I used to love eating here and always recommended this Thai restaurant because the service, prices and taste were right. I always came for the fried noodles with chicken, which initially cost €8.90, and the sate gai, which cost €5.00 back then, two or three times a week. Over the last few years the prices have increased so much that I only treat myself to this meal every three months. Sate is now priced at €7.50 and pasta at an unbelievable €16.90! There is a price increase of almost 100%, even though Munich restaurants have become 10-20% more expensive on average. Pure madness and greed for profit. It's no fun anymore. Anyone who lives in the area and often walks past the restaurant knows that it is always busy. I think the landlord deserves a golden nose here. Why not, if people pay the prices anyway. I'm no longer a regular customer, so I'm probably not the only one. If the prices were lower more people would eat there, just like Lidl, but that doesn't seem to be an option. Too bad.

We were there on a weekday and had a relatively short wait. Food and service were great! Definitely worth a visit.

I liked the location and the surroundings. The food was tasty and served in a good portion. The staff were also polite and friendly.. the only thing that may be improved is the sanitary.

Opens throughout the day so best to drop by outside the lunch and dinner rush hours if you can. Staff are very efficient and helpful and the food is of a pretty decent standard. The crispy duck with red curry and rice is very good and the portions are quite large. Worth a trip if you are in the area.

Extremely friendly and welcoming staff. We arrived late and with a large group - the staff made everything possible for us to still have a nice and chill dining atmosphere and were super friendly. Food is tasty and plenty and the front-cooking kitchen gives the place a real honest and authentic vibe. PS: even though the menu does not seem to have that many veggie options, you can swap meat with tofu in almost every dish!

I have never been complimented so rudely out of a store in my life as I was there. We supposedly had a reservation and were literally told off by four ladies that there were no reservations at this location! Went of course!! You can happily do without something like that.

When one bee fly into your drink in front of everyone, they will take care of it by pouring your drink away without any notice and return with an empty glass. Then the waitress will tell you to “take care of your drinks by yourself friendly” and charge the same even I did not have a taste yet. It is the most “pleasant” dinner I had in Munich. Thank you.

All in all a good restaurant, the advantages outweigh the disadvantages, I haven't eaten so well in a long time, the portion was perfect, I was full again for the first time, the service was super friendly and quick! The only stupid thing was the long queue of 20 minutes and the limited space in the restaurant, it was really very tight! That's why only 4 stars! Really bad experience. We came here for several times, no one told us to the service fee is compulsory. This time the waitress ask for the service fee with a rude face and bad attitude. The food is always good. The service was good when I came here. BUT not this time. You cannot ask for service fee with that attitude.

It can be tough to snag a table at the Thai Restaurant at the Münchner Freiheit but find a hiding spot and then pounce. It's so worth it. Hausmannskost straight out of the Thai countryside with lovely drinks and friendly, attentive service. Mun Mun is a great asset to Munich and Germano-Thai relations.

My friend's food came 10 minutes later even though we ordered at the same time. Excessive prices and we ended up waiting 25 minutes for the bill.

Very tasty variety of Thai food

I finally found an authentic Thai restaurant in Munich, Pad Krapau Gai Kai Dau is simply awesome!

I had a very tasty dinner here today with my dad. We ordered Tom Yam Gung and Tom Kha Gung soups. Tom Yam Gung was asked to be made less spicy than the original recipe. We also ordered Ped Thod Krob and Gäng Phet Ped. They served us efficiently and quickly. Portions are large and flavorful. Thank you for this wonderful opportunity to experience a little gastronomic journey through Thai cuisine.

I had the pleasure of eating at this Thai restaurant and it was simply amazing! The food was super tasty and authentic. I would particularly like to highlight the friendly staff, who made the evening even more pleasant. All in all a great experience - I'll definitely be back!

The food is quite ok. - one would wish for more typical seasoning, but otherwise tasty. Service is very friendly, but slightly scheduled. If you go out to eat as a couple and one is already finished when the other is served, that is suboptimal. The ambience is just the concrete bowl of a subway entrance - you can't and don't want to expect much there and these expectations are met.

Delicious Thai food right next to Munich Freedom. The food was brought to us within minutes of us ordering and was beautifully prepared. The service was very quick and polite. You can sit inside and outside. It was more expensive than expected.

We had a delicious meal! Even something as simple as a (chicken) satay was perfectly prepared. Portions are huge! Food comes straight from the wok to your plate, so it's hot and tasty! Service is friendly and very alert. You only have to look at someone and she is there with you. No criticism whatsoever and definitely an addition to your visit in Munich!

Good Thai restaurant in Munich - would classify as „casual dining“. Quality used to be slightly better, prices have increased generously over recent years.

Went there spontaneously with 10 people on a Friday evening. The food was super tasty. I ordered the main course and dessert at the same time, but the dessert came 20 minutes before the main course, which was a bit stupid. Otherwise it was great and I can really recommend it. :)

There’s a bit of line but it was not long before we got a shared table outside. Service is fast but they confused our order with the one beside us, so we had to ask to swap it. Both the duck and the Pad Thai were delicious and huge portions (we had o to ask for a doggy bag). Good experience overall, would recommend.

I am a big fan of MUN MUN and really enjoy eating here. The food is authentic, delicious and always plentiful, so I usually have the rest packed away. I've never had any problems getting a place, even with up to 4 people, something was always available quickly. Reservations are not accepted. The service is very quick and the food comes to the table promptly after the order is placed.

It’s near in the bus and train station so it’s convenient to go there, it’s spacious lots of table and chair to seat in, the staff were approachable and they can speak deutsch and English. The food are tasty and looks good. I love the mango sticky rice.

Location: it’s directly at underground of Münchner Freiheit. Easy reach by public transportation, tram or U-Bahn. Meanwhile, there is an outdoor park lot nearby. Super convenient location. (5) Environment: Inside area is not big with open kitchen, it is a bit uncomfortable if sit inside next to the kitchen, but it has huge outdoor area with fresh flowers, it is nice to sit outside especially when the sun is shining. (4.5) Food: I came here three time, and I tried beef, duck and chicken. They are all yummy. The spicy beef with rice is a bit spicy, the chicken coconut soup is fresh. (5) Service: the stuffs speak English and German, they are friendly and supportive. (4.5) Price: starter and soup less than 10 euro, and main course is less than 20 euro. Avg. Price per person is ~20 euro with drink. (4.5) Overall: 4.7 It’s a good location for a quick meal with good quality and reasonable price.

Mun Mun used to be my most recommended restaurant in Munich. But maybe because business is so good, they don't care about the service and environment anymore. When we ate there today there were so many flies it was scary - it was like sitting next to a garbage can. Everyone had to be constantly on guard to shoo away the flies that tried to fly into our bowls. Unfortunately, even though we scared away the flies, we didn't expect the "surprise" in the noodles. We ate a rope. The waiter brought us a new Pad Thai, but the attitude was still brusque and cold. My last time at Mun Mun.

FLY!!!!! There was a fly in our food, we complained about it and asked for it to be canceled, but they said that this fly was not caused by them and most of the food had already been eaten, so they could not cancel it. Even though we said we would pay, as if that wasn't enough, another woman came and shouted at us in front of many people and said that the flies in the food were normal and there were flies everywhere. We definitely do not recommend it! It was such rude behavior!

The food is delicious, but the price is absolutely not justified. You can't go wrong with a vegetarian curry. But I think charging 20 euros for that is a bit excessive - especially since the atmosphere is more of a finer snack bar. It's nice to sit outside on the terrace in summer. You shouldn't be bothered by the fact that guests are processed quickly. Absolutely ok if you just want something quick to eat, I absolutely wouldn't choose this for a cozy evening with friends. In summary, the price for the performance is not justified.
