Mühlenhof Bagband in Großefehn

We ate at the Mühlenhof for the first time and it was good but nothing special. There was definitely not enough sauce for a mushroom cream schnitzel and you could count the mushrooms. The fried potatoes were only lukewarm. The staff is very friendly.

At Mühlenhof Bagband you should reserve a seat before you receive excellent service. There is almost always a very busy crowd there. The prepared dishes taste very good. The staff is very friendly, competent and approachable. The price-performance ratio is ok. The restaurant is very conveniently located on the B 72. Here you can also visit the windmill at certain times. A visit is always worth it.

Very nice atmosphere, service is very friendly and attentive. We had dip me, bruschetta, Wiener schnitzel with fried potatoes, tagliatelle, schnitzel Viennese style with fries that could have been a little crispier, as well as affogato and chocolate cakes, all together very tasty The star deduction comes from the fact that despite the flaw in the pepper sauce, it was found on the bill. At the neighboring table, a guest also had the pepper sauce, which was not eaten because it tasted "musty" and the waitress said that this had probably been complained about the day before. So I wonder why this pepper sauce continues to be served for consumption? All in all a lovely evening and good food. Please take this pepper sauce from the menu or another recipe, e.g. found directly at Ankerkraut on the homepage.

Cozy atmosphere in a converted and renovated farm

A very great restaurant! As soon as you enter, you are greeted by the beautiful, cozy ambience, which exudes a very special atmosphere due to the historical backdrop of the mill. The staff is down-to-earth, friendly and offers warm hospitality to ensure that you feel completely at home. The food is also super tasty.

We had dinner at Mühlenhof last Saturday. Even though we didn't have a reservation, we still got a spot. The food was very tasty. Only complaint. There could have been more mushroom sauce with the schnitzel. The atmosphere is very nice and the service is very nice

We spent a very cozy evening in a large group at the Mühlenhof; the East Frisian ambience of the converted barn impresses with its cozy and inviting elegance; All of the dishes we ordered were a visual and taste delight. Food of good to very good quality in a stylish ambience. Friendly attentive staff. You shouldn't apply the standards of a steakhouse to the steaks, they are OK but not to the point. The waiting time for the food was unexpectedly long during our visit. We even had to wait a long time for an appetizer we ordered, even though the restaurant wasn't very busy. All in all, always worth a visit and the long waiting time is probably not standard but for a reason that we don't understand.

We had dinner there this evening. All very good though!!!! At the next table there were two women who had a dog on the bench and to top it off they ordered strawberry ice cream for him. The dog was then spoon fed. I could have puked. Tomorrow the next guest will simply get the spoon and the waitress will see it and say nothing. Sorry but I was there for the last time today!!!!

Today I was at Mühlenhof Bagband for the first time. The waitresses are without exception very friendly and accommodating. The restaurant is nicely equipped and when the weather is nice you can also sit outside. Four of us shared bruschetta and an antipasti plate as a starter. For the main course I then had the monkfish on saffron risotto. The food was really excellent throughout. Both mine and those of my companions. The portions are very good and the price-performance ratio is very fair.

A super chic restaurant, a very warm welcome, the service is super friendly and accommodating. The food is very tasty and affordable. We'd love to come back.

Very beautiful and tastefully restored location. The selection on the menu is large and varied, the food is very good and the portions are large enough to fill you up, at least for “normal eaters”. Everything is very clean and the food came quickly, despite it being a Saturday evening and the tables being well occupied. Online reservation is very practical, card payment is no problem. Particularly noteworthy is the extremely friendly service, where you can always see how much fun they have at work! We'll be back.

First of all, the staff is very courteous and nice, exemplary. The food, we were there in the evening, is rather average, no offense intended, not a failure. It feels like convenience products are used because of the enormous speed between ordering and serving six different dishes. But please, that's a guess.

We would also give 10 stars if possible! We went here for dinner last night at the recommendation of our Airbnb and loved it so much that we went back again this morning for the Sunday breakfast buffet. Super attentive and very friendly service! Our Doberman dog was also warmly welcomed and was also provided with water. Although not relevant for us, but definitely worth mentioning are the vegan alternatives for breakfast, which are available upon request. Also a great selection from the menu for vegetarians! In November we will be on vacation an hour away from here, but we would like to make the journey again to eat here with our husbands.

It was great again! We are always thrilled. Special praise also goes to the staff!

We went here for the breakfast buffet at 9am on a Sunday morning. We made a relatively spontaneous reservation the evening before online via the homepage. For €21.50 per person we got rolls and bread, cold cuts (everything your heart desires from cheese to salmon, liver sausage, meat salad and vegetables), scrambled eggs, bacon, boiled eggs, juice, water, coffee + tea, Bircher Muesli and yogurt with fruit and melon. I would say: Everything you need for a good breakfast was there. The staff was really friendly and attentive, we were asked several times if we needed anything else (and there were a few tables occupied). It was also filled up quickly. We really enjoyed it and left absolutely full. If we are in the area again we would come back at any time. Another plus point: the building is great and there are lots of parking spaces.

Great, delicious food and great attentive service

Went there for the second time yesterday. The food was again very tasty. Reasonable price-performance ratio. The only small drawback yesterday: we waited almost 2 hours for the food. To be fair, it has to be said that it was very full and I don't know whether there were any short-term absences due to illness. The girls in service were really busy, but were still very friendly. We will come back in any case.

Was there over 20 years ago and thought it was very good

Unfortunately the grill plate was a disappointment. Potatoes raw, vegetables overcooked, the meat carelessly prepared and clearly not enough for €33. Burgers were ok, fries and potatoes were very salty. Not even the children ate them. All in all, unfortunately not recommended given the prices. The highlight was the friendly waitresses!

We were with you at the Mühlenhof again this week and once again we really enjoyed it. The restaurant has an incredibly feel-good atmosphere, the service is totally professional and friendly and the food is really top class. There are not many restaurants in East Frisia where (like yours) everything is just right! It's always fun to come to you! Keep it up!

I was there twice within a week. Why? On the first evening I was there with the staff and was very enthusiastic. Today again privately because it was so good. What was good? A varied but not too large menu, the food is beautifully prepared and absolutely tasty, modern furnishings in a comfortable atmosphere and service that is absolutely friendly and calm. To recommend!

Great atmosphere, we got a nice table even without a reservation and felt very comfortable. The food was very good, you couldn't decide what you wanted to eat. At home I would have licked the plate. A small dessert was also appropriate. A nice evening at a removable price-performance ratio. We will come back.

Good and extensive menu. Reminds me of system catering. Unusual salad bowl offers! Unfortunately, fish is frozen goods, which unfortunately underlines the appearance of system catering! A really nice restaurant, with some vegetarian and vegan options! Dogs are also allowed here, which is great! :) The waitresses were all extremely nice and friendly and the food tasted great. We had to wait quite a long time for the food, but it was still great! We will be back definitely :)

Wir waren als Familie im Mühlenhof. Das Essen war sehr gut und auch der Service ist aufmerksam, aber nicht aufdringlich. Mein Sohn hatte den Grillteller, meine Frau einen Burger und ich die Spareribs. Wir alles sind satt geworden und das Essen hatte eine hohe Qualität. Wir freuen uns auf den nächsten Besuch.

The Mühlenhof in Bagband is a beautifully decorated old building...tastefully furnished. After we had now visited the restaurant 10 times or more in various constellations... with friends and/or family... we had to realize on our last visit... that it was absolutely no longer worth it, to eat there. I had invited my children and their families for a special occasion...I had specified a very specific table request when making the online reservation...that worked. We had a reservation for 5:15 p.m....we were there with 6 adults and 4 children...the place was still very busy...but then it started to fill up...we then ordered drinks straight away.... .at 5:45 p.m. a service employee finally came and took the food order...we had made a special reservation for an early date (5:15 p.m.) because we wanted to spend the evening with 4 small children without the whining children. However, the food didn't come...it still didn't come...after we complained 3 times to different service staff and other guests who got there much later had already finished the starter and main course, we got our food... at 6:45 p.m. The children were pretty unbearable at times... the table was only reserved for us until 7.30 p.m.... we had to eat in a real rush. There was no apology from the kitchen or from the service... my daughter's request to bring a round of drinks on the house due to the long waiting time was rigorously rejected. Unfortunately, the quality of the food was no longer up to the standard we were used to there.

Unfortunately, due to the VAT increase, not only have prices risen, but portions have also shrunk. Wafer-thin schnitzel. With little side dish. In October 23 it was significantly more. The service was super nice as always.

The Mühlenhof Bagband Großefehn impresses with its appealing ambience and its always lively atmosphere. The polite and professional waiters contribute significantly to the overall pleasant experience. However, the menu leaves a lot to be desired. The plain, colored paper doesn't quite match the upscale ambience of the restaurant and gives the presentation a rather impersonal touch, and no advertisements should be placed on a menu. My choice for the starter was the Brushetta for €9.30. The portion consisted of four small slices of bread, which tasted good but wasn't entirely convincing for the price. The main course, a Viennese-style schnitzel for €15.90, was okay in terms of taste, but nothing special for this price. The side dish, fried potatoes, was a bit disappointing as it was more like thick potato slices that were only fried briefly. The drink prices at €3.80 for a cola (0.33l) were reasonable and in line with the average of other restaurants. Unfortunately, the dessert was forgotten, which meant we had to wait about 30 minutes until we asked and it was then served quickly. While the ambience and service of the Mühlenhof Bagband Großefehn stood out positively, the food didn't completely convince me. Although the dishes tasted okay and were attractively presented, they lacked the certain sophistication and wow factor that I would have expected at this price level.

We were there with friends and a small child right at opening time. The food was very tasty. The service is generally very friendly. The only downer was the absolutely unfriendly bar service. We had already paid and sat for a moment and she almost shouted at her that this wasn't a kindergarten and that we should leave now. Our child laughed too loudly and other guests didn't seem to mind. On the contrary. It wasn't like we were there particularly long🤷. So, definitely do not visit with children.

Cozy atmosphere, food was tasty, although there could have been a little more side dish with the salmon, but the salmon was cooked well and wasn't dry. The staff was friendly but sometimes a bit "headless", glasses were broken at the counter, the spoon for dessert was forgotten, right after the main course we were asked if we could have something else, we asked for a short time to think about it, that's what happened then 35 minutes until we could order dessert. Late in the evening (while guests were still eating), crates of drinks were already being moved through the restaurant on a hand truck, so you got the feeling that you had finally paid the bill and left so that the staff could finish work on time. Unfortunately that was very loud and annoying. It could be that we had a bad day, the reputation is actually quite good, so we'll try it again at some point in the future.

Wir waren schon diverse Male im Mühlenhof. Es ist wirklich alles gut. Nette Bedienung und gutes Essen. Heute jedoch haben wir zum ersten Mal das Kalbsschnitzel. Es war sehr lecker. Jedoch eine viel zu kleine Portion und einfach zu teuer. Da stimmt die Preis-Leistung nicht. Ich bin der Meinung, dass die Preise nun an die Grenze gekommen sind.

Wir waren mit einer großen Gruppe zu einem sehr ansprechenden Frühstücksbuffet im Mühlenhof und alle waren sehr begeistert.Aufmerksames,sehr nettes Personal hatte die Tische sehr schön gedeckt und den Tee gab es auf Stövchen in der Kanne. Qualitativ hochwertige Produkte, sehr leckerere Brötchen ,tolles Brot und auch an Veganer wurde gedacht. Da gehen wir wieder hin.

Der Mühlenhof ist stets gut besucht, Reservierung empfehlenswert. Preislich etwas höher angesiedelt, damit habe ich aber kein Problem, Hauptsache die Qualität und Portionsmenge stimmt 🙂. Wie jedes mal wenn wir im Norden Verwandte besuchen, waren wir auch diesmal in der Bagbander Mühle. Wir freuten uns auf das tolle Ambiente das gute Essen und den netten Service. Leider bestellten zwei von uns das Tagesgericht. "Hirschragout" die Beilagen waren lecker auch die Soße geschmacklich wie erwartet, aber ein bzw zwei Ragout mit je 2 Stückchen Fleisch ist mehr als mager...Als darauf Angesprochen wurde kam nur ein "ich geb es an die Küche weiter" und das war es... keine Entschuldigung kein Entgegenkommen...Da Schwiegers keinen Ärger wollten belies ich es dabei... Für uns ist aber klar, das war vorerst der letzte Besuch. Besser wäre gewesen zu sagen, dass das Gericht aus ist also so Portionen zu servieren...

Toller Abend in einer sehr gemütlichen Atmosphäre. Wir waren das erste Mal dort und alle schwer begeistert. Service extrem freundliche, Essen super 👍.
