We always love coming here, whether with family or friends. The service is always friendly and attentive, and the food is very good. Since it's always busy, it can sometimes take a little while for the food, but that's well worth it.

On our way home from Wiesmoor, we took the opportunity to try this highly acclaimed restaurant. Unfortunately, we were disappointed. The ambiance on the terrace (3:30 p.m. in the afternoon) in the sunshine and the very attentive service were initially very positive. The "Spaten" beer we ordered was undrinkable. Perhaps it had been in the tap too long? We then ordered water and a Cardonnay, which was extremely well-rounded and very tasty. The bruschetta appetizer was extremely tasty, very harmoniously seasoned. Top-notch!!! The large veal schnitzel with a very dark pannate sauce was unfortunately very lightly seasoned with fries. The hunter's schnitzel, with its pannate sauce, and the meat here too, was very lightly seasoned. The mushrooms with onions were completely overcooked, with no bite, no seasoning, and no flavor. The fried potatoes were inedible. Industrially reheated goods are a no-go for a restaurant with this reputation. We sent them back. Maybe the timing (cake time) wasn't right??

We've been here several times; the food was always great and the service very friendly. However, today, on my husband's birthday, we were truly disappointed. We waited an hour and 20 minutes for our food. When we asked, the explanation was that there were so many groups at the same time. The restaurant was full, but if the kitchen couldn't handle it, they should have fewer tables. We had to wait from 1:00 PM to 2:20 PM for our food. We think that was way too long and we find it truly rude to waste other people's time like that. We were really looking forward to a delicious burger, so we persevered, but the patty was lukewarm and not freshly cooked, the cheese melted and hardened again because it wasn't served immediately after preparation. We've eaten a burger here many times before and can truly appreciate the difference to today. This really isn't acceptable, and my husband's birthday was ruined. Even though we said we didn't like it and I left almost everything, the full bill was still charged as a matter of course. We won't be guests there for a while. It's a shame, but we won't risk it again.

I found all the dishes on the menu very appealing. Great selection. I chose a bowl from the seasonal menu (quinoa, cucumber slices, edamame, falafel, lettuce leaf). It came with a dip, perhaps it should have been a dressing, but it wasn't enough and wasn't runny enough. It's a very simple dish. I have to honestly say that it wasn't worth the €16, and I regretted choosing it. When I was speaking to the waitress, I got the impression that she was more concerned with sales. That was a bit odd, but otherwise she was friendly. On my second-to-last visit to the Mühlenhof, I had a burger and I have to say it was very good. I'll be back, but I won't order a bowl.

Good and extensive menu. Reminiscent of a chain restaurant. Unusual salad bowl offerings! Unfortunately, the fish is frozen, which underlines the chain restaurant's appearance! Dangerous access just a few meters behind the entrance door due to a poorly marked extreme step. ❗️Increased risk of accidents; we witnessed someone fall there and hit their face...🥴 This should have been fixed long ago or secured much better! Otherwise, highly recommended!

Cozy atmosphere, very friendly service, and delicious food. Everything was really fresh, tasty, and, of course, beautifully prepared. The meat was cooked to perfection! We always enjoy coming here. Today, August 1, 2025, we ate two burgers. Delicious, but the buns weren't fresh. There's still room for improvement. Please go for something special for the price, like crispy rye buns. Anyone can make a burger. At over €20, this should be a little different from the usual.

A very nice restaurant. We sat in the beer garden, which was very cozy and not too loud, even though it was busy. The interior was beautifully decorated. We had the mixed antipasti platter for two. It was very tasty and plentiful. For the main course, we had schnitzel and pasta, both very tasty and well-seasoned. Dessert was a chocolate cake and ice cream, cooked to perfection with a liquid center. We'd be happy to return. Excellent food, excellent service. Good price, 3 courses, a Puls drink, under €90.

We were there this early evening with our bowling club. A beautiful restaurant with fantastic waitresses who are happy to change anything you want, and a fantastic chef who prepared my steak really well and excellently, and my husband's mixed grill. We've been to the Mühlenhof Restaurant several times and have always been satisfied. On Whitsun Sunday, there were three of us in the restaurant and we each ordered a fish plate. The portion was a child's portion: three small fish fillets and a small portion of fried potatoes. We went home hungry.

I've been here three times so far and have not been disappointed. The food is high quality and beautifully presented, with a sufficient selection. The drinks selection is also plentiful. The staff are consistently friendly. Every guest is greeted warmly and shown to their table, and what's especially important to me – they don't forget you. Once your drinks are finished and your hunger is satisfied, they ask if you need anything else. It's important to make a reservation in advance, as otherwise it will be difficult to secure a table.

A very nice, rustic restaurant, very clean and with a really comfortable atmosphere. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. However, the drinks were unfortunately not regional - beer from Bavaria and Saxony-Anhalt - which just doesn't suit a restaurant like this. At least there is a local brewery 1 km away - unfortunately this wasn't on the menu. I'm used to the plaice the Finkenwerder way with crab, but that wasn't the case here either. The food was very tasty, but everything was far too crispy - which isn't right for fish. The salad was very tasty. Please use loose tea instead of East Frisian tea, it suits the Frisian atmosphere better.

I would like to look forward to my visit on April 30th. and unfortunately express my regret about the quality of the asparagus buffet. The asparagus was not fully cooked and the schnitzel was tough, which significantly affected the enjoyment of the food. Unfortunately the food wasn't warm either. In addition, I found the discussions with the waitress to be unpleasant and unprofessional. I had the impression that my feedback was not adequately addressed. They would always cook the asparagus there al dente and if I had wanted it cooked through, I would have had to say so. Very unfortunate. The buffet wasn't worth the €36.

Sehr nettes gutes Restaurant. Preise sind akzeptabel. Hatte dort Spargel mit Schinken und Sauce Hollandaise für knapp 22 €. Dazu Getränke 0,5 l Bier für 5,80 €. Sehr freundliches Personal und gutes Ambiente. Das Restaurant kann ich nur empfehlen. Allerdings sollte man einen Tisch vorbestellen, da es sehr voll sein kann.

A very nice, good restaurant. Prices are reasonable. I had asparagus with ham and hollandaise sauce for just under €22. Drinks included a 0.5-liter beer for €5.80. Very friendly staff and a pleasant atmosphere. I highly recommend this restaurant. However, you should reserve a table in advance, as it can get very busy.

Today we spontaneously went to dinner at Mühlenhof Bagband. The house was very well attended, the service staff still seemed relaxed, were friendly with every contact, the staff were present but not intrusive. The food was, there is no other way to describe it, very tasty. Price-performance ratio is absolutely appropriate. It's not a threat, it's a promise, we'll tell you more and come back.

Nice service, nice ambience. But overall the price is not appropriate for the service - the Wiener Schnitzel in particular was a bad joke for the high price. Significantly too dry and tough. All that was offered as “compensation” was a scoop of ice cream on the house. Unfortunately we won't be coming back here again.

Been there several times for dinner in the evening. And that wasn't the last time either. We like to go there. Cozy atmosphere and the food was always great.

Unfortunately I have to give this review after a conversation with our guests this evening. They didn't want to spoil the birthday that day. Both had the steak for a whopping 35.10, which was so tough that under normal circumstances we would have returned it. We also waited forever for the food. According to our guests, this is an impertinence.

We booked the breakfast buffet. There was plenty of choice and it was very attractively presented. There was a separate sausage and cheese platter for vegan guests. Despite the buffet, the dining room wasn't too narrow and the room wasn't overcrowded. You could still have a conversation at a normal volume. The seating is very comfortable and the service is very accommodating, attentive and friendly. Highly recommended!

Today we met for breakfast. Very spacious, idyllic. A visit is worth it. Only the rolls didn't quite suit our taste. Otherwise it tasted great. Large selection. We'd love to come back.

I spent a cozy evening there with friends and ate the best burger I've ever eaten... with goat cheese... With delicious beef, fresh rocket and homemade blueberry chutney... really top notch and a large portion.

Everything is still great, unfortunately the pearl gold from the nearby brewery is no longer available. That was the only reason why we took an hour to arrive and depart. Too bad! Was the last visit.

I was at the Mühlenhof Bagband several times around Christmas, in different groups. Between 4 and 17 people. The service was always friendly and accommodating, everyone involved was happy with the food, and the quantities were good. The atmosphere of the old, developed estate is great. My favorite is the Bagbander Mühlenburger with the house-made lemonade. I will definitely visit again.

We were at the Mühlenhof on December 22nd, 2024 and celebrated the baptism of our granddaughter. And were thrilled. The food, the ambience, everything was very good and nice. We sat upstairs, and above all all the children had the opportunity to play, paint, do crafts, etc. The service was really nice and very friendly. A day to really remember. THANKS...

At Christmas every two hours, groups come and go, the service is very speedy, there is a 20 minute wait for the bill because the food from the neighboring tables has to be taken in first. The dishes we ordered were very different. Starter salmon rolls with wild herb salad very good, creative and tasty. Schnitzel with fried potatoes, well, standard for that, expensive and a little side salad would have been expected. A modification such as leaving the pepper out of the chili sin carne wasn't possible, everything was already prepared? The volume went down, the wooden ceiling absorbs a lot of sound. Still unpleasant when the chair hits the next table when you get up.

We redeemed a voucher. The table reservation online worked very well. The atmosphere is cozy, rustic and modern at the same time. The service processes are very well coordinated, the service itself is flawless, fast, friendly and very professional. However, the size of the restaurant suggests that individual side dishes (e.g. fried potatoes) are kept ready-made in the kitchen. The starters (bruschetta and baked goat cheese) were perfect, kudos for that. The main courses, on the other hand, were a little disappointing. The fried fish was dry, the light sauce was not suitable and not tasty either. The rump steak was cooked perfectly medium rare. However, the pepper sauce was a light, thick convenience product, definitely not made from a demi-glace. The fried potatoes - see above - were unevenly brown from very light to very dark, definitely kept warm in advance and therefore very soft and unfortunately not remotely crispy. Rather salty. The dessert - affogato al caffè and three very large scoops of ice cream with cream - was again very good. It was very nice that we received a digestif because of the complaint. Overall, a lot of light and some shadow. Personally, it's too big there, I prefer to go to smaller restaurants.

Service and ambience were very good.. Friendly staff... But the Wiener Schnitzel didn't work at all.. Fries were also served cold.. The schnitzel was too limp for me.. A little more spices would have been good.. I would like a schnitzel I didn't have to season with pepper and salt afterwards... the cranberry dip was delicious!

My wife and I come from the Lower Rhine and were there for the first time in mid-2022. Now we're back in the area for a week and didn't miss the opportunity to eat there again. Simply great, especially since your dog is allowed with you if you register in advance. Highly deserved 5 stars in all areas

We went there for dinner last weekend with a birthday party. There is a large, free parking lot. A really great and cozy location. The service staff was very friendly and helpful across the board. My wife and I had a schnitzel hunter style with fried potatoes. Well the meal went like this, the schnitzel was really very very fatty! The prices are on the higher end, we found it really expensive for what we got!

Food and ambience are good. We were there with 6 people. Unfortunately, we were told shortly before 9 that the coffee machine would be turned off and there would be no more coffee and half an hour later the last order would be because they wanted to call it a day. I think it's a NO GO

We were with a group at the Mühlenhof Cafe on a Saturday. The open-plan restaurant was “crammed full”. Several groups were there and a birthday party was taking place up on the gallery level. It was very, very loud. Not just the conversations...no, there was also 90s music playing in the background. So if you want to have a quiet meal on a Saturday evening, you should go to another restaurant. About the food: everyone liked the food (everything from snacks to fish to burgers and bowls was there). Only the fried potatoes were said to have been too salty

We ate at the Mühlenhof for the first time and it was good but nothing special. There was definitely not enough sauce for a mushroom cream schnitzel and you could count the mushrooms. The fried potatoes were only lukewarm. The staff is very friendly.

At Mühlenhof Bagband you should reserve a seat before you receive excellent service. There is almost always a very busy crowd there. The prepared dishes taste very good. The staff is very friendly, competent and approachable. The price-performance ratio is ok. The restaurant is very conveniently located on the B 72. Here you can also visit the windmill at certain times. A visit is always worth it.

We had dip me, bruschetta, Wiener schnitzel with fried potatoes, tagliatelle, schnitzel Viennese style with fries that could have been a little crispier, as well as affogato and chocolate cakes, all together very tasty The star deduction comes from the fact that despite the flaw in the pepper sauce, it was found on the bill. At the neighboring table, a guest also had the pepper sauce, which was not eaten because it tasted "musty" and the waitress said that this had probably been complained about the day before. So I wonder why this pepper sauce continues to be served for consumption? All in all a lovely evening and good food. Please take this pepper sauce from the menu or another recipe, e.g. found directly at Ankerkraut on the homepage.

A very great restaurant! As soon as you enter, you are greeted by the beautiful, cozy ambience, which exudes a very special atmosphere due to the historical backdrop of the mill. The staff is down-to-earth, friendly and offers warm hospitality to ensure that you feel completely at home. The food is also super tasty.

We spent a very cozy evening in a large group at the Mühlenhof; the East Frisian ambience of the converted barn impresses with its cozy and inviting elegance; All of the dishes we ordered were a visual and taste delight. Food of good to very good quality in a stylish ambience. Friendly attentive staff. You shouldn't apply the standards of a steakhouse to the steaks, they are OK but not to the point. The waiting time for the food was unexpectedly long during our visit. We even had to wait a long time for an appetizer we ordered, even though the restaurant wasn't very busy. All in all, always worth a visit and the long waiting time is probably not standard but for a reason that we don't understand.

We had dinner there this evening. All very good though!!!! At the next table there were two women who had a dog on the bench and to top it off they ordered strawberry ice cream for him. The dog was then spoon fed. I could have puked. Tomorrow the next guest will simply get the spoon and the waitress will see it and say nothing. Sorry but I was there for the last time today!!!!
