Mr. Zhao HOT POT in Kaiserslautern

First time at a hotpot was not disappointed, the food was great. Lots of options and flavors. Location was easy to find. Customer service was good and restaurant very clean and they take card.

Hot pot buffet with plenty of ingredients. Relatively speaking, I think if the boss can improve the atmosphere, the business will double.

We have been very satisfied with every visit so far. A great selection of food and drinks. Also highly recommended for a vegan diet.

The service and food were impeccable! The ingredients were all fresh and were replenished straight away! In addition to the large selection of meats, there were plenty of vegetarian options. The broths are basically all vegetarian. If you don't know Hotpot, that's no problem! Everything will be clearly explained and shown to you! Highly recommended! :)

Mr. Zhao was fantastic. The hot pot was super nice and really tasty. The restaurant is quite small, so it's best to call ahead. The price was super fair for hot pot standards. I hope this store will be around for a long time.

Great for alot of food and you still feel fresh after eating. Unlike when you eat fried foods.

What a great restaurant !! Friendly, opening, clean, gives you a quick run down if it’s ur first time at a hot pot restaurant. Food only got 4 stars ONLY because I love pork belly with my hot pot and it sadly wasn’t available. Doesn’t take away from anything else that was great ! :) Definitely coming back!!!

Were there for the first time today and were warmly welcomed. After the broth arrived at the table, we were able to help ourselves at the buffet and get vegetables, seafood, pasta and meat, as well as put together our own sauce. Everything tasted great and the service was very friendly. It felt very homey. It's priced a little higher but for an all-you-can-eat it's totally fine. A plus point is that everyone has their own pot, so the whole group doesn't have to worry about allergies/etc. from an eighth. All in all very good and we will be back :)

Unfortunately not recommended. We have visited many hotpot restaurants in Europe before. This one couldn't compete in any way. 1. the selection of ingredients was rather limited and some were not refilled (buffet) 2. the broth was unfortunately almost tasteless 3. The selection of sauces was sufficient, but the taste was not good 4. the price-performance ratio was not good (approx. 37 euros per person for the HotPot)

The staff is very nice and friendly, the food was delicious, the atmosphere was also cool, I can recommend ❤️

It was just ok... not worth the almost 40€ per person price tag. On the night I was there, some items were freezer burnt -especially the fried tofu and the ramen noodles. I don't plan on returning. The employee was nice.

I highly recommend it. We were there for the first time. The nice owner briefly explained to us how it “works”. Then the pot came to the table and we could start simmering. The selection was absolutely sufficient. Lots of seafood, tofu, balls, lamb, beef and pork and delicious chicken pockets. Many types of mushrooms, vegetables and pasta. Plus the sauces to mix yourself. There was also a small selection of desserts.

Chinese fondue with 2 recipes. Personally I prefer the spicy version but I like the mushroom version just as much. All-you-can-eat service.

We have been HotPot fans for quite some time and have always had to drive hundreds of kilometers to get to the next one. We were all the more pleased when we heard about this locally. We have been to so many HotPot restaurants, but in my opinion this one overshadows the renowned HotPot restaurants in the Japano district in Düsseldorf. The food is ultra fresh! very large selection and the absolute plus: EVERYONE HAS THEIR OWN HOTPOT! We'll definitely be back

Outstanding shabu-shabu/hotpot. Super simple and perfect for a date. It's pretty tiny inside, so make a reservation for busy times.

A new and unknown restaurant in Kaiserslautern, but definitely worth a visit. All you can eat hot pot buffet with a wide selection of meat, seafood and vegetables. Typically Asian as you know it from your Asian vacation. The price is a little higher at €33.90 without drinks, but the price really includes a lot of fresh seafood. Each person gets their own pot with either hot or mild broth. Of course, if you want both broths you won't be left behind either. Simply add the ingredients to the boiling water and the food will be ready quickly. The only drawback are the somewhat small tables, as you have plenty of plates and cutlery in a smaller group. All in all, still unknown in Kaiserslautern but definitely worth a visit!

Very good hotpot, unlimited meat and seafood! A little pricy but very tasty. The ramen they had was tender and flavorful. Would come here again soon!

Had hot pot there for the first time today. The owner explained everything to us really well, answered our questions and drinks arrived super quickly. For the price of just under €33, the buffet has everything your heart desires. The experience alone was very cool, the store itself is very inconspicuous but clean. Food is fresh. The price is justified for that. I would happily recommend it and come again!

Heute Abend zum ersten Mal Hot Pot gegessen, ein Wunsch den ich schon seit Jahren hatte ! Hätte nie gedacht, dass es sowas jemals in Kaiserslautern geben würde. Riesiger Pluspunkt für die Stadt ! Das Essen war unglaublich gut, authentischer geht es einfach nicht ! Service so so nett und sympathisch ! Man fühlt sich einfach richtig wohl dort. Es fehlt wirklich an gar nichts, kein einziger schlechter Aspekt. Bin froh dass ich das Restaurant schon so früh entdeckt habe. Werde definitiv in Zukunft weiter vorbeikommen. Habe es so sehr genossen. Vielen Dank für den schönen Abend und weiter so !!! ^-^

Alot of people did not know this hidden gem 💎 in Kaiserslautern. They just currently changed their menu to fully Chinese Hotpot, and the seafood are very fresh and has many varieties. If you into Japanese Dhabi Shabu or Fondue for winter time, here is the right place for you. Especially trying out their sauces, highly recommend the green one which is homemade chives ginger sauce.

The hot pot was great! It's all you can eat, you get your own bowl. The staff speaks English and was very friendly. They do take cards but sadly it was down at the time so we paid in cash.

Tasty Hot Pot for a good price being its all you can eat and includes desserts! Large options of vegetables, seafood, and meats. My only gripe is there was only one small soy sauce for everyone to use. But other than that, it was good! Will definitely return!

Finally a Chinese style hotpot place in Kaiserslautern! Although a little pricy at 35euro per person (not including drinks), I think it's still worth it since I don't have to drive all the way to Mannheim or Frankfurt to get it. What's nice is you get your own individual pot so you don't have to worry about friends being squeamish about sharing. You can choose between spicy, not spicy, or half/half for broth. They have sliced lamb (my favorite), pork, beef. They have pork, beef, fish meatballs, beef stomach. They have a decent amount of veggies like cabbage, cilantro, spinach, bok choy, and 2 other greens I forgot the Chinese name of. They have lotus root, enoki, oyster mushroom, shiitake, tofu, dumplings, rice cakes, tons of different types of noodles. For seafood they have crawfish, whole shrimp, peeled shrimp, octopus, artificial crab, mussels. There's a few other toppings I didn't grab, but the variety is enough for such a small place. For dipping sauce they have most of the basics like peanut sauce, oyster sauce, chili crisp. I was surprised they didn't have fresh garlic and ginger, but they have Bärlauch which fulfilled that flavor profile. If you need that ginger, they will chop up some for you if you ask. The dessert choices were ok as well. They have donuts, brownies, cakes. Our favorites were the banana eclairs. They don't have that many tables, so I do recommend calling for a reservation. I saw one person get turned away because there wasn't enough space. I really hope this place succeeds. They're shy about speaking English, but theor German is great.

Food is freshly made to order. Family business with powerful flavors. You can hear the sizzzle from the kitchen. However, the dining room should be cleaner and paint pan should not be visible.

I ordered veg noodles and it was amazing. The taste was amazingly spicy and yummy 😋

Ich war jetzt 3mal dort und habe vor Ort verschiedene Gerichte probiert. Das Essen ist super lecker. Meine Fragen zu den Zutaten wurden freundlich und zuvorkommend beantwortet. Der Eigentümer spricht sehr gut deutsch. Ich wünsche dem jungen Team viel Erfolg bei seinen Zukunftspläne. Vielen Dank.

Got egg soup, chicken and broccoli, fried noodles with fried chicken, steamed gyoza, fried gyoza and egg rolls. Everything arrived warm and tasted pretty good. The soup lacked some flavor but was just trying it to try it. I enjoy trying lots of stuff as you could tell by the order. I will def try more things to order from here and would recommend it to others as well.

Food was tasty, it's not gourmet but it was hot and fresh and lecker. And the staff was nice and easy to understand. And not expensive either! I'll definitely be back :-)

The Wonton Soup from Mr. Zhao saved my life. I didn’t think it would have so much flavor and just the right about of spice. It really hit the spot, was super hot and made my evening. I’d take a picture but it’s GONE😻

Das Essen erinnert mich immer an meine Businessreisen nach China. Sehr lecker.

Ich kann die Bewertungen in letzter Zeit hier absolut nicht nachvollziehen. Geschmacklich mit Abstand der besten der Stadt und preislich für die Qualität aufjedenfall gerechtfertigt. Eine Preiserhöhung findet in 90% der Fälle nur statt wenn Lieferanten/Produzenten den Preis erhöhen ( bei der Pandemie leider üblich ). Kann ich aufjedenfall weiterempfehlen!
