We thought the Gourmet Temple was simply amazing. It tasted amazing, and drinks were included in the all-you-can-eat menu, which we especially loved. And my kids loved the soft-serve ice cream machine. We'll definitely be back.

All you can eat AND DRINK…wine, beer, soda, water…wide variety…and did I say ALL YOU CAN EAT AND DRINK. One price (31 Euros), 2.5 hours and 3 euros for every hour after. The food is endless as well; typical Chinese, Mongolian BBQ, sushi, frog legs, kangaroo, beef, chicken, lamb and so much seafood. Buffet food is buffet food but this place has enough variety to satisfy just about any taste. I believe it’s one of the best meal deals you’ll find in Kaiserslautern. Highly recommend if you’re hungry or thirsty or hungry and thirsty.

We have been here a couple times and service is always impeccable. Last time we had a dinner party for 35 people and they were very sweet and accomodating. Told me I could come earlier to decorate, always made sure we had everything we needed and even gave us gifts upon departing. With drinks being included this is a great place to bring a large group making it easy to pay and leave after. Would definitely recommend to anyone hosting a large group, retirement party or any event. Thank you so much!

Yes, you can eat well if you like the food! In the evenings, there's a grill station and all drinks are free. It costs a little more than at lunch.

Absolutely no longer recommendable! I went to eat at this restaurant with a friend last weekend. After we had paid our bill and stood up, people ran after us and shouted across the street that we were deadbeats and that we had NOT paid! Of course we wanted to inform the police straight away, but strangely enough the owner of the restaurant quickly refused. When the waiter who had taken our money came over, the bill suddenly appeared and confirmed that we had paid! They apologized but we will NEVER visit this place again. That is not how you treat customers! If it weren't a waste of my money and it wasn't "unnecessary", I would love to report it to my lawyer or file a complaint with the police for slander! So that other people who want to eat there are not insulted or falsely accused in the same way!

Some of the food was so bad. We pointed it out to the waiter, and everything was thrown away. Definitely not fresh. Not even an apology for rotten food. Not recommended.

Simply fantastic! We'd love to come back. Great selection of food and drinks. Our daughter, 1 1/2 years old, was supposed to pay €4, but the manager waived it because she ate very little or nothing.

Highly recommended for lunch. Very affordable, lots of choice, and usually relatively quiet. In the evening, however, you pay almost double the price. The staff are always very friendly and helpful, and you feel at home. The food is decent for an all-you-can-eat restaurant. You can't really complain.

A disaster, only the included drinks were bearable. After 6 years I was there last week, the food was a complete disaster. For €31 you can drink 10 beers and the evening is ruined!

I went out to eat with my mother and daughter on Mother's Day Sunday... The price for the Sunday buffet is €28, including drinks, which I think is really reasonable, but then I read on the menu that if you leave 100g on your plate and haven't finished your opened drink, you'll be charged €5 extra, which I think is ridiculous... But what I found even worse was that when the bill came, it said €31 per person... I asked why it said €28 on Sundays... He then said it costs €31 on public holidays... But Mother's Day isn't a public holiday, it's just a Sunday... And that's why we won't be going there again.

Very clean. The selection is very good, the food itself tastes very good. I didn't like the sushi. Otherwise everything was great. Were there for the second time now and were very satisfied.

Yesterday I had a spontaneous lunch with my parents at the gourmet temple. There was a very rich buffet, including coffee, wine, beer and soft drinks (all you can drink), the buffet cost €31 per person. cost, it was definitely worth it. My father has celiac disease (must eat gluten-free), the owner knows everything about it and showed my father everything, so my father was able to enjoy the buffet without any problems. There were various types of meat and fish that you can have prepared at the grill station with your desired sauce and/without vegetables. A rich selection of desserts (including a chocolate fountain) rounds the whole thing off. We will definitely be back and I can only recommend the restaurant!

Amazing food variety, tasty and top service

Service was fun. But what I was missing was signage. No allergy information and no signs about what kind of ice cream they are. The large cup was missing from the coffee machine and unfortunately there were no labels on the cups either. Unfortunately, the food was just so-so. The fried rice was very hard

Come here often, the food today wasn't as good as usual. Unfortunately, the meat was very dry in places, the taste was soapy with 1 type of pork in sauce. There was also something wrong with the langoustines. Sting strong and the taste was def borderline. When I was told that I thought they were no longer good and smelled strongly, I was told that this was completely normal. Likewise with the clams, I was dismissed as "ignorant". If I spit my food into a napkin, that means something... The avocado in the sushi was also rather mushy It's a shame, we're not used to this...

Der weite Weg hat sich gelohnt. Aber unbedingt reservieren, insbesondere am Wochende. Sehr freundlicher Service, der sich trotz vollem Restaurant nicht aus der Ruhe bringen läßt. Riesenauswahl an Speisen. Zu Empfehlen ist das all inklusive Menü das auch die Getränke enthält.

We visited this wonderful Chinese restaurant and were absolutely delighted! The dishes are incredibly delicious, with authentic flavors and fresh ingredients. The menu is very varied - there is plenty to choose from and there is something for everyone. I was especially pleased with the service: the staff is attentive, polite and always ready to help with your choice. The atmosphere is cozy, with pleasant music and a beautiful interior, which makes dinner even more enjoyable. We will definitely come back again and recommend it to all lovers of Chinese cuisine!

Chaotic distribution of staff was taken, reservations are not taken into account, coffee could not be drunk because the cups were not refilled, seating at the door is not recommended!! People were walking out and back in every 3 minutes. It was very cold. We often closed the door as we went to the buffet! Seat will be changed next time.

Very good quality at the buffet, but at over €30 per person you can pay well for it. The restaurant participates in the app togottogo, where leftover food at the end of lunch or dinner is given away cheaper. I've now taken a surprise bag from the lunch buffet three times (you can't choose what should be in it) unfortunately it was no longer a surprise because it always had the same thing in it, a bowl of fried food, a bowl of sweet and sour chicken and fried noodles. The quantity was more than sufficient. However, I would have liked more variety as the buffet itself is very varied.

The staff is friendly and helpful. The food is overall ok. Some dishes were very tasty, but some were not so good and also cold. More mass than class. I most recommend the Mongolian buffet, where you put your own plate together, choose a sauce and have it freshly fried. I found the decor appealing and the ambience nice.

It was my first time there on a Monday or during the week and I was pleasantly surprised. Relatively large buffet with everything there is, even on the weekends. It was also very pleasant there because it was much less crowded. In the future I will only go during the week. Really great. Parking was also great.

However, when I look at the toilets, my stomach feels different 😔 Unfortunately the toilets are very very dirty. And no, that's not from one evening. There is definitely an urgent need for action. We actually really enjoy being there. Just going to the toilet there with children is very questionable. Unfortunately, this is a big issue, which is why I don't want to eat there anymore at the moment. The toilets weren't always as dirty as they are now. Please please change that the toilets are hygienic again. 🫶🏼 You are a great restaurant. It would be a shame if it had to close at some point.

Selection and ambience as you would expect.

Very disappointing if you booked for 12 people, paid a lot of money (extreme surcharge on public holidays) and were asked to leave after 2 hours, even though there was a card at every table that said 2.5 hours. The table was then simply cleared away... we were told to take the coffee with us and drink it in front of the door... so we won't be coming anymore.

We were there for Christmas dinner with the family. Super friendly and accommodating staff! Thanks for that! As always, the food is varied and fresh. Something for absolutely everyone! I hope we can spend many more Christmases with you!

We reserved a table yesterday, December 25th, 2024. When we arrived, all the tables were occupied. No tables were empty and the other guests who had reserved were all standing around at the entrance. Since there was no chance of getting a seat, we left at 6:30 p.m. That was very frustrating and a very difficult time Bad end to Christmas! We are very disappointed and cannot understand why reservations are not taken into account and simply ignored! We don't give any stars for that! Unfortunately, you have to give a star in order to be able to post the post

There is a huge selection of food but the quality is correspondingly high and the furnishings are getting old. If you're looking for mass, this is the right place for you, but not for us as a family. However, I find the management's responses when criticism is expressed to be completely unprofessional; they should take something positive out of it and perhaps change something about it.

Now getting old. Unfortunately, the food is just mediocre. The drinks are now included in the price but it also costs an impressive €32.

Don’t waste you money on the buffet. The meat at the hibachi came back half cooked and the rest of the food, mainly the vegetables, were way over cooked. My wife got the seafood for the hibachi and that was half cooked too. I spit back out my food and let the staff know but they still charged me even though I only ate 2 “vegetable” spring rolls that were filled with noodles and drank a coke. Now I get to sit back and wait for the impending diarrhea that I had to pay for.

Unfortunately, at least lunch is not fresh at all. Especially after the last visit, I got a stomach ache the following day (for the second time) - hence the review. Price ok/fair for lunch buffet. I don't know about dinner. Nice, usually attentive service staff. Floor but sticky.

This is a good Asian buffet in Kaiserslautern. If you’re looking for a wide selection of Chinese and sushi offerings, their buffet was kept very fresh when I visited. Desserts were many and small, so many could be tried without over-indulgence. Their all-you-can drink selection of soft drinks, beer, wine and water was included with the one-price meal. The alcoholic drink selection was limited to a couple German pils and 1-2 basic red/white wines, but good enough to meet expectations. All drinks are self-serve, so I could get as many as I’d like with the food. Kids are charged at a different rate based on their age and 2-under eat free.

There is a lot of choice of food and dessert, and the price is right

Very rich offering in buffet form. We were particularly impressed by the Mongolian buffet. Fish, shrimps etc. and lots of vegetables. We like coming here.

DO NOT try the Singapur art Rice Noodles. It was quite weird in taste and didn't have the feel of a Singaporean "fried rice". The noodles were super thin. I had also ordered spring rolls which were good paired with the sweet chilli sauce. The crab crackers were unique but were too much in quantity. Overall, the main course that I ordered didn't taste well and got wasted. I would've avoided it but there were no reviews about it on Lieferando or on Google commenting about the rice.

If it were possible I would give ZERO stars! Absolute juice shop. As soon as you go out for a smoke between meals, the kitchen staff even comes running and watches you until you're done smoking. (It couldn't be more inconspicuous) We have never felt so pressured and watched while eating! Absolute no-go!!

Food and service is great. Unfortunately the cleanliness has deteriorated significantly. The playroom is always a hit with the kids. But the ventilation system there seems to be broken. It's burning hot and smelly when the children play in it. They still need to improve these two things, otherwise everything is great!

I've been to this restaurant three times and it's always been of the highest standard. The staff is friendly, always fresh and varied food, various drinks that are already included in the price. The toilets are always clean, even despite the large crowds. There is also a room for children to play and not stop you from spending time. You can pay both in cash and by card. I always recommend this place to my friends and acquaintances.

Gourmet Tempel is hands down the best Chinese eatery in the KMC area! Every dish was seasoned to perfection, making it a top choice for authentic Chinese cuisine. The only downside was the lack of air conditioning or proper airflow, which made the environment a bit uncomfortable. However, the amazing food more than made up for it. Good buffet, but quite small for the large number of people there

It's clear that you don't get the world for the price at a buffet. But what is on offer in the restaurant is unfortunately really subterranean. The floor and tables were glued endlessly. Unfortunately, the food was almost always not good. The meat was almost inedible, the vegetables and rice were incredibly overcooked and tasted like nothing. The fruit on display looked like it had been sitting for a week, so I opted for tiramisu for dessert. It tasted like everything but tiramisu. As if it had been left open in the fridge for 2 days and absorbed the taste. What I found worst, however, was that the pieces of paper on the buffet describing the dishes didn't match the actual contents in the buffet bowl. So instead of fried chicken we had fried fish, even though the note definitely said chicken.

We always come from Idar-Oberstein because of the large selection, the delicious food and the very friendly staff! The absolute highlight for children is the beautiful playroom! The ambience is also very nice!
