We didn't like the food at all, it was packed very carelessly, we had to look for a waitress and we didn't have a friendly facial expression. This review is our experience, it may not have been their day, but that shouldn't happen.

We were there in the evening. Bad service and bad ambience! We are definitely not against children (we had one with us ourselves) but the owners' child constantly came to the table and cleared the guests' plates even though they hadn't finished yet. Took our child's toy away and at the end of this terrible visit the child wanted to call the police because it didn't go his way and we had kindly told the child that we wanted to eat in peace. The mother (probably the owner) noticed and said nothing. Never again !

This restaurant is not recommended. Went for a buffet dinner. Price/performance not acceptable

We tried to save food using the To Good To Go app, but any help came too late. The food was inedible, there were maggots in individual pieces of meat The buffet was careless and almost empty. We politely pointed out the condition that there were maggots in the meat and she insulted us. Not recommendable!!!

Very familiar, nice and delicious food

We were there again last Saturday after a long time and wanted to test it because we weren't at all satisfied last time. This time there was nothing to complain about. As always, the service was excellent and very friendly. The ambience is quite okay. For food: we had a buffet, including a Mongolian grill. The normal buffet has a very good selection, the food is decent and tasty. But the Mongolian grill is awesome! There is a good selection of fresh fish and meat, vegetables and 6 different sauces to choose from, which are then freshly prepared. Delicious! 😋 We agree: Next time we'll have the Mongolian grill again.

We stayed with the WU family for a family celebration over the weekend to eat and sleep. The restaurant and the food are okay, the hotel complex is very outdated. But it really had potential after a renovation. There is free WiFi throughout the house and a playground in the backyard for the little guests. Dogs and children are very welcome. Final conclusion - I have to say that Ms. WU and her husband really do everything they can to make the guests happy. Keep it up & thank you for your hospitality.

We eat there repeatedly with the family. There is currently water damage in the sanitary area, e.g. Currently being repaired. Replacement toilet facilities are easily accessible. Nevertheless, we still enjoy going there because of the very good food and buffet. And today we saw that the water damage was quickly repaired by the craftsmen from our rural region with GREAT CRAFT SERVICES. From mid-June onwards, larger family celebrations will be held there again with the well-known very good cuisine!!!!! Then it says again: Delicious food at Mr Wu in Hermannsburg!!!!! ....and today, June 20th, we were there again for the delicious buffet: Great dining experience again!!! The water damage has been repaired!!! Big family celebration on the weekend!!! Have fun and enjoy your meal!!! The food was plentiful - hot and freshly prepared food was constantly being delivered to the display. We prefer that to having the bowls full and kept hot using buffet technology!!!!!

You should check the reviews beforehand. We were there around 1 p.m. and were surprised that no other visitors had found their way here. Now we know why. There was hardly anything in the bowls at the buffet, it wasn't even enough for one person and there was little choice. The meat was overcooked, dry and apparently from the day before. The taste ranges from inedible to so and cold. The only alternative the chef offered was to microwave the food. The “salads” also took a lot of getting used to. I took some cucumber, it tasted like fish. Also in the soup were indefinable parts, soft and tasted like a wet dog smells. It was only much later when I checked the receipt that I noticed that a much higher amount had been deducted for the buffet than was stated on the card. My wife thought about the food after 20 minutes and then again an hour later and it wasn't because of my driving style. Furthermore, the restaurant is unkempt, cracks in the plaster, the plaster and paint are peeling off, the half-height paneling is dirty, foxed or even moldy. Stomach problems are inevitable here. We certainly won't get lost here again.

I always go there when I'm in the heath, it's always been delicious for the last 3 years, whether to take away or on site. I come from Extertal and there is nothing there that would be comparable and so friendly. Again and again👍👌

You can argue about the ambience, it's okay inside, but unfortunately not from the outside. The à la carte food tasted very good. The service was very friendly. Prices are okay.

We went there for a buffet dinner with a birthday party. Everything was very tasty and the service left nothing to be desired. Prices completely okay. Perfect !

I hope I save some people reading this from having to go to the toilet. Where should I start. We ordered "Too Good to Go: Save Food" via the app and picked up the food and had it filled into our Tupperware containers. When we got home and unpacked the food, we could hardly believe what we were given... Spoiler: IT WAS GODDESS! We had all kinds of meat, chicken, beef, duck... (At least I think so. Everything was black, brown and partly charred and slimy... A tupperware container was full of random vegetables completely dipped in several different, unidentifiable sauces. The meat smelled extremely like rotten meat. After my girlfriend vomited in the toilet, I still tried the meat. I couldn't keep it in my mouth for 2 seconds and then had to share the toilet bowl with my girlfriend. We would have vomited until the next day if we had eaten the meat. I suspect that the meat was pure salmonella bunker. Afterwards I thought to myself, "Come and try the vegetables. Maybe they would taste good in combination with the unidentifiable sauces, which, by the way, all smelled. As before, the smell was unidentifiable. Well. Did the vegetables taste good with the sauces? Far from it. I sat on the toilet for the rest of the evening. We tried to save the food as it says in the title of the app. But unfortunately we were too late... All in all I have to say that it was really inedible. I had to decide. Never use the app again or never go to Mr Wu again... But in the end I decided to leave the restaurant AND the app behind me... Life must go on. (With hopefully better food than here)

I have a feeling that that meal was from yesterday. Sat there for 2 hours and not even real sushi was made. Duck was so dry and not tasty. Soup smelled. Chocolate dessert smelled like fish. This is worst Chinese restaurant.

It was terrible. We ordered and received a box full of indefinable meat. Shortly after we started eating, we vomited several times. The "meat" was inedible RIP to everyone who goes there

We really enjoy going to this restaurant! Even for just a few registrations, the buffet is always fresh and the selection is as large as usual! And the price/performance is just right 👍🏼 A special thank you goes to the family that runs this restaurant! It's always a family atmosphere there and everyone is extremely friendly! I celebrated my Christmas party there with my team and was also allowed to decorate everything in advance. Thank you for the great hospitality! We would love to come back 👍🏼

On November 10, 2023, my wife and another couple were in the Mr.Wu restaurant in Südheide. We were looking forward to a cozy evening with good food, but we did the math without the innkeeper. A table was reserved, but it wasn't necessary as the dining room was empty except for one couple. Already at the entrance you walk past the buffet and it looked very clear with only a few dishes and also many empty bowls. Seated at a table for four people. The waitress came and we ordered two cokes and two more drinks. The coke was non-carbonated so the two women complained about it. The waitress defiantly said that she had just opened the bottle and took a glass and exchanged this one for a cola, also without carbonation. Afterwards we helped ourselves to the buffet, some of us had the Chinese soup, which tasted good and was hot. But that was it with the food - all the dishes were cold and gave the impression that they were from the previous day. Dry, greasy and unappetizing taste. Nevertheless, we tried one or two dishes and all four of us came to the conclusion that it was an impossible and even harmful buffet. Complaints were denied with outrageous behavior. We were very dissatisfied and expressed this when paying. It must also be pointed out again that the price charged did not match that of the card. The Mongolian grill was also included in the price, but we didn't want to take the risk of something spoiled. When paying, we once again pointed out our dissatisfaction and the fact that we were leaving the restaurant hungry and would have liked a price reduction, but the insolence never ended and the high quality was pointed out once again in an unfriendly manner. So we paid and left. We came to the decision to report the possible health risk to the responsible health authority. From our experience, we can only advise everyone not to eat there.

I went to dinner with my girlfriend. The first and last time with Mr.Wu! The buffet was completely shabby and unappetizing. My meal "fried rice with chicken" was gray and was very salty, my friend's meal "chicken with red curry" got cold very quickly, the meat and vegetables were very plain. After complaining, the service staff became very unfriendly and unreasonable! For us, this restaurant will definitely not be considered again and we cannot recommend it to anyone!

Very very hospitable. Great with small children too. The food was simply great and the price-performance ratio was absolutely fair. We would like to come again!

I came here with a few friends and even though I'm allergic to gluten, they made the dishes specially without gluten. The service was very nice and almost everything went without any problems. The hot Peking soup is best. I highly recommend this!

Das Essen von Buffet war teilweise kalt und sah nicht mehr wirklich appetitlich aus. Der mongolische Grill war der einzige Pluspunkt, da war dann zumindest das Essen heiß. Im Service war nur eine Dame im Einsatz. Dementsprechend lange dauerten Bestellungen. Das Ambiente war nicht wirklich ansprechend, es wirkte schon alles ziemlich in die Jahre gekommen. Für den Preis, alles in allem nicht empfehlenswert.

Lecker lecker immer ein Besuch wert

Das Essen ist sehr lecker. Eine große Auswahl ist vorhanden. Man wird Familie aufgenommen die Behälter werden immer nachgefüllt. Alles ist sehr sauber und ordentlich

Das Fleisch und die Nudeln waren okay, Soße und Wan Tan waren nicht lecker. Das Essen hat auf den Magen geschlagen.

Gutes Essen, Möbel schon etwas benutzt

War zum Mittagessen gegen 12:45 h dort und dachte es wäre geschlossen. Die Inhaberin, bzw. Frau des Inhaber, saß in einer Ecke und es war noch alles dunkel. Auf Nachfrage ob offen sei, bestätigte sie mir es und machte umgehend Licht. Am Tisch, nachdem ich gewahlt hatte, bekam ich zunächst das gewünschte Getränk. Schon kurze Zeit später, kam die von mir, als Vorspeise, gewählte Suppe (wiedermal sehr lecker). Auch das Hauptgericht (Ente süß sauer) entsprach wieder voll meinen Erwartungen. Alles in allem sehr zu empfehlen. Einziges Manko, in früheren Zeiten, gab es Mittags kein Menü, sondern man konnte sich selber zusammenstellen, was man essen möchte. Also von allen etwas probieren und soviel man möchte.

Das Essen vom Buffet war leider teilweise schon zu kalt

Die Bedienung und das Essen waren ok. Das Ambiente entsprach nichtmal im Entferntesten den Bildern auf der Website. Es war sehr dunkel, daß Mobiliar war abgerockt und wir haben im Lokal gefroren. Die Sanitären Anlagen, waren sauber aber auch extrem alt. Die Fliesen waren kaputt, übrigens auch im Eingangs Bereich. Schade, uns wird dieses Restaurant nicht wieder sehen.

Haben uns für das Buffet entschieden Auswahl könnte deutlich besser sein. Geschmacklich könnte es auch etwas besser sein,war teilweise doch ziemlich fade. Preis zu hoch

Sehr leckeres Essen, war frisch zubereitet aber der Reis war teilweise hart.

Wir hatten dort bei einer Hochzeit gegessen und es war mega lecker. Reichhaltiges Buffet und Mongolischer Grill. Das Fleisch war Butterzart. Das Restaurant ist Renovierungs bedürftig aber in der aktuellen Situation halt schwierig umzusetzen. Aber das macht dem Essen und dem wirklich Kinderfreundlichen Service keinen Abbruch.

Der Preis für das Buffet ist schon sehr hoch. 19,90€ finde ich persönlich viel zu teuer und die Preise für die Getränke stimmen auch nicht mit den Preisen, die in der Karte stehen. War schon sehr erschrocken was man für 4 Personen bezahlen musste. Trotz allem waren sie sehr freundlich.

Buffet ist reichhaltig und abwechslungsreich. Der mongolische Grill ist auch zu empfehlen. Der Schokobrunnen ist vielleicht nicht ganz chinesisch, aber als Abschluss gut.

Nachdem hier so viele positive Berichte sind haben wir uns gedacht, wir versuchen es noch Mal. Das Essen war lecker, die Sachen vom Grill besonders. Die Buffetschalen waren manchmal leer, aber es wurde dennoch regelmäßig nachgefüllt. Allerdings finde ich es schon etwas unverschämt für ein 1 1/2 jähriges Kind einen Preis von 6,50€ für das Buffet zu berechnen. Auch hatten wir den Eindruck, dass die Kellnerin eigentlich nur von uns genervt war, obwohl sich unser Sohn wirklich tadellos verhalten hat (ich kenne ihn ganz anders). Für uns war es zumindest das letzte Mal bei Mr Wu.

Leider zu Kalt um zu Essen. Schade das der Abend zu kurz war als Geburtstag.

Wir waren als Pärchen über das Wochenende in der Heide. Bei Mr.Wu belegten wir ein Doppelzimmer für 2 Tage. Es war alles da was man erwartet und braucht. Sauber, freundlich und das Frühstück war absolut ausreichend mit frischen Bäckerbrötchen. Parkplätze direkt ausreichend vor Lokal.

Tolles All you can eat Buffet. War sehr lecker. Preislich okay. Nettes Personal☺️

Ein angenehmes Ambiente. Die nette Chefin hat uns eine große Auswahl am chinesischen und mongolischen Buffet angeboten. Das Essen wurde vorzüglich angerichtet und hat sehr gut geschmeckt.

Habe mich nicht willkommen gefühlt, wenig Auswahl beim Buffet, Essen versalzen und angebrannt.

Wir besuchen Mr. Wu seit vielen Jahren. Die Räumlichkeiten sind hübsch und sauber, die Bedienung ist freundlich und familiär. Auch heute haben wir uns zu viert wieder ein leckeres Menü schmecken lassen und hatten einen wundervollen Abend. Vielen Dank und bis zum nächsten Besuch. :)

Leider kein Buffet wie angegeben. Das Essen ist eher unterstes Mittelmaß. Die Eingangstür schließt nicht mehr, daher fällt sie bei jedem Windzug mit einem lauten Knall zu. Absolut keine Empfehlung.
