"Anderer´s" Taverna - Ihr Genuss-Restaurant in Südheide

We tried the Monday pizza deal and ordered a “large” pizza for €12. The edge was dry and the middle was undercooked. For us it had nothing to do with an “Italian pizza”. In the future we will prefer to bake our pizza ourselves or buy it somewhere else. After the change of ownership, the quality of the food decreased dramatically.

Delicious food in a quiet environment, friendly service. Take your time, it took a while for the starter to arrive.

Finally a meeting again with my former Bundeswehr comrade in Hermannsburg! This time the meeting was to take place at this Italian's place. The reviews looked good: Yelp: 4 stars from 17 reviews Google: 4.5 stars out of 550 reviews The first thing I did was look at the website. It was a bit simple, but the information content was good. I liked the interior and exterior pictures, as well as the food pictures on Yelp and Google. From the menu I settled on either a rump steak if I was very hungry or spaghetti Bolognese if I was slightly hungry. When I arrived in Hermannsburg after a several-hour drive including traffic delays, I was very hungry, and since my friend also wanted to order steak, nothing other than a steak was an option. I decided on a rump steak from Argentinean Angus beef, my friend ordered a "Rump steak "Basilikata" - 180 g rump steak with Italian herbs, fresh, fried mushrooms, diced ham and onions" and, as a starter, balled bread with herb butter. I was absolutely thrilled with my steak, really tender and juicy, that's how a steak should be! It was a very nice stay with delicious food and interesting conversations, we sat outside because of the good weather. My initial intention was to invite my friend, but we agreed to split the bill, including the tip, we paid €80 (my friend €30, me €50). I can only recommend La Taverna in the heath town of Hermannsburg. I would just give the management a tip to make the website a little more appealing. Update, August 24, 2024: The last meeting with my former Bundeswehr comrade in Hermannsburg took place over two years ago; high time for another meeting! We agreed to dine in this restaurant again, but there had been a change of ownership in the meantime, so it was no longer called "La Taverna" but "Anderer's Taverna"; The homepage said: "In mid-2022, we (Jessica and Steven Anderer) took over the popular taverna in Hermannsburg. We bring in our extensive gastronomic experience as hosts. We attach particular importance to good home-style, Mediterranean and regional cuisine freshly prepared dishes[…]" The concept didn't seem to have changed much; the menu continued to be a combination of Italian cuisine and regional dishes. Reviews: Yelp: none yet Google: 4.5 stars from 896 reviews Facebook: no rating yet, 103 likes I reserved a table by phone for 5 p.m. either outside or inside, depending on the weather. I visited my former place of work, Munster/Örtze, before I pulled up to the taverna. It was raining when I arrived, so we were allocated a table in the cozy indoor area. My friend ordered "medallions from the cork oak forest - Iberian young pig fillet with fresh mushrooms in cream sauce with sautéed princess beans and potato croquettes", I decided on a 180 g steak cooked to "blue rare" with fries. While we waited for our food, a few more guests arrived, most of whom had made reservations. After about half an hour of waiting, it was served. I was very happy with my steak, tender and juicy. My friend was also thrilled with her medallions. It was a pleasant evening with funny and interesting conversations after an eventful day; Regarding the taverna, I learned from my friend that only the owner had changed, but that the kitchen and service staff were still the same. Of course, I paid the total bill of €68 by EC card, and my friend contributed a tip of €2.50. We can only recommend Anderer's Taverna in Hermannsburg!

It was really a very nice evening. The meal was excellent. Everyone in service was very nice and attentive. The atmosphere is very cozy, outside as well as inside. My 100% recommendation, always again

We ate here one evening during our vacation in Hermannsburg. Very good service, very tasty food. Ambience also very good. It makes sense to reserve a table in advance. We can recommend, among other things, the spaghetti Bolognese and the fine tomato soup. Very good selection of drinks.

Begrijpelijk als het door personeelstekort wat langer duurt, maar handig om dit te melden bij de telefonische reservering. Nu zaten we ruim drie kwartier te wachten op de menukaarten en daarna nog ruim een uur op het eten. Na bijna twee uur wachten waten ze het wel zat. Door de drukte was de serveerster ook onze bestelling vergeten door te geven aan de keuken. Hoop dat de problemen worden opgelost, ook voor het personeel.

We stayed here for the first time today and were very pleasantly surprised. We were initially greeted in a very friendly and courteous manner, and even our dog was immediately given fresh water without being asked. The first positive impression was confirmed again during the meal. The Primavera pizza was very fresh, the tomatoes were delicious and the homemade basil oil had a fresh, delicious aroma. The salad is also recommended, fresh and tasty with unusual dressings. All in all, highly recommended Mediterranean cuisine. Thank you

June 2024. There were two of us here. The pizzas are good but quite small at 20 or 26cm in diameter. But a proud price for that. Beer 0.5 liters for over 5 euros is not okay.

Good food, in a pleasant atmosphere with friendly service.

Service was warm, the atmosphere was cold and dreary and the capaccio was ok, the wild salmon pasta was supposed to have shrimp in it, but what it was was small North Sea crabs. Sauce was mixed with roux.

Absolute recommendation. The service was very good: nice and friendly, not overexcited, courteous and at the end surprising when, after a conversation, a wedding anniversary surprise was unexpectedly served. The food was great and delivered what was promised and then some. Very well prepared and tasty. It's nice to sit outside under the vines and parasols. A little too close to the main street, which is a bit annoying. All in all: always worth a visit.

Hey, we've been back for a long time, with 3 adults and two children, the weather was so nice that we could enjoy it outside, the service was great and the food was delicious, we'll definitely be back and can only recommend it !!!

The kitchen is supposed to be open until 10 p.m. You want to order something at 8:30 p.m. and they say the kitchen has been closed for 15 minutes... when you ask why that is, you get the cheeky answer that if you read correctly it could say there would be The shop would generally be open at 10 p.m.......I speak the German language and can read, top notch!!! You choose something that takes time only to be so rudely disappointed... what a shame

Top restaurant with an artistic atmosphere 🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞 Visit!!! The opening exhibition on June 16, 2024 attracted an interested audience and was a complete success. Everyone also really enjoyed the musical accompaniment with guitarist Laurent Quiros from Spain, as was evident from the huge applause. You can see acrylic paintings by the artist and/or eat delicious food here in Anderer's Taverna in Hermannsburg 🤗

The food tasted good and the staff were very friendly. Unfortunately, the selection of vegetarian dishes is quite limited and very simple (and sometimes labeled incorrectly - Gorgonzola is not vegetarian due to the rennet). In my opinion, the lack of an allergen card is also out of date. The portion sizes vary so much, so it's almost a matter of luck whether you're full or not.

So it's been a long time since I've eaten so well, everything was on point and our service was so cheerful, attentive, smart...whether it was pizza, fish, etc.. just awesome.. Gladly again with 10 people all different dishes and we could eat at the same time. It took a while, but we were richly rewarded

Because of the consistently good reviews, we decided to eat here. The staff was very friendly. The salmon taigatelle was delicious, my steak was cooked perfectly, but one star was deducted because it was only lukewarm when it arrived. The fries were very hot. On the whole we were satisfied.

Very friendly service, nice atmosphere. Drinks take a long time even though there is a lot of staff. The food is delicious, but it's not enough to fill you up. With the neck steak there was 1 dollop of mashed potatoes. Visually everything is nicely arranged, but as I said, too sparse. Going to the toilet is, well, just unpleasant with chips Color. The toilet looks clean if you don't look closely. Lots of cobwebs on the top of the cabins, the floor also has stains. When paying in a larger group, you also need to be careful that the actual amount of drink is correct. We were there for the first and last time.

Have been there several times. The food was always good, whether steak, pasta or pizza. The service is really great. Very friendly and funny, the dog was always allowed to come with us, we always looked for a table where it could lie quietly, there was always a water bowl and usually even a small treat. We like to come back regularly, it's always a great evening there. 😊

Good morning, Nice restaurant but if you want to fill up you should eat something beforehand. I chose the 300g rib eye. My wife for the 220g rump steak...mine was significantly smaller and of course the most expensive on the menu. I found that quite a shame. I also got cold fries as a topping.

Das Essen war ganz ok, habe aber schon besser gegessen. Nur der Service muss unbedingt an sich arbeiten. Ich war ca 20 min früher da als die anderen. Es kam keiner und hat nach was zu trinken gefragt. Während der Bestellung,lief die Bedienung weg und das Essen wurde auch nicht richtig geliefert, wie besellt. Für den Preis muss noch dran gefeilt werden.

Super Restaurant und sehr freundliches Personal.

Nach meinem ersten Besuch hätte es eigentlich nur einen Stern geben müssen! Das bestellte Steak war erst zu roh und dann zu durch. Der Service war unhöflich und schlecht! Da habe ich allerdings erfahren das die Dame die uns bedient hat wohl aus dem anderen Restaurant zum aushelfen da war und die Abläufe wohl nicht so gut kannte. Trotzdem hätte man mal lächeln können! Als ich das Restaurant verließ war ich mehr al enttäuscht! Trotz allem gibt man jedem Restaurant eine zweite Chance! Als mein Sohn dann im Oktober Geburtstag hatte, war das der richtige Anlass als Mama und Sohn zusammen essen zu gehen! Trotz später Stunde und ohne Reservierung sind wir von der lieben Sabine äußerst zuvorkommen behandelt worden! Jede Frage wurde beantwortet und auch auf meinen Sohn (6) wurde super toll eingegangen. Die Getränke waren super, das Essen war fantastisch! Und der Service hat gestrahlt! Ein anderer Kollege der da war war auch super lieb! Auf dem Tisch stand ein happy Birthday Schild. Und als großes Finale gab es für meinen Sohn ein Dessert aufs Haus mit einem kleinen Tisch Feuerwerk! Das ganze Restaurant sang happy Birthday und mein Sohn und ich sind satt und glücklich nach Hause gefahren. Vielen lieben Dank! Wir werden sicher wieder kommen!

Selber Schuld, wenn man mit 10+ Menschen nicht vorher reserviert! 🤯 Platz war genug vorhanden, es wurde uns trotzdem mehrfach vorgehalten! 👎 Die Namensgeber-Pizza war nicht so der Bringer. Innen recht matschig, außen viel zu hart. Darüber hätte nur ein schärferes Messer hinweg täuschen können. Fazit: definitiv kein zweites Mal!

Ein sehr guter Kellner, mega freundlich und qualifiziert. Kennen das Restaurant seit vielen Jahren von den Vorbesitzern. Das Essen war perfekt und diesmal gab es auch gleich eine Weinkarte. Der ruckelige Anfang des Anderers ist vergessen. Tolles Haus in der Südheide. Kommen gerne wieder.

Essen ist ziemlich enttäuschend, wenn man es in relation zu dem Preis setzt. Ganz traurig ist, dass die Teller nicht angemessen vorgeheizt werden. Als das Essen am Tisch ankam war es bereits Lau Warm und das ist ziemlich schlecht für ein 25€ Steak oder Wildschwein. Service lässt etwas auch sich warten, ansonsten ganz nett. Ambiente im Hauptraum scheint ganz nett und warm. Das im Nebenraum is uninspirierend und kalt (auch von der Temperatur her).

Super lecker und sehr reichhaltige Portion., Das Fleisch war leider etwas zurückhaltend gewürzt und etwas sehnig. Das Lokal ist sehr ordentlich und sauber. Hervorragende Bedingungen für einen schönen Abend. Toller Service.

Waren heute zum Mittag da und ich war begeistert. Das Rumpsteak war super zart, leider etwas blutiger als bestellt. Dazu gab es eine Ofenkartoffel mit einer unfassbar leckeren Sour Creme. Der Service war sehr nett und zuvorkommend und kam immer wieder an den Tiwch um zu fragen, ob alles in Ordnung ist. Gern empfehle ich das Restaurant und komme gern wieder .

Great place for a group large selection of food and great food

Wir waren mit unseren 4 Kindern hier essen und gingen satt, gut gelaunt und mehr als zufrieden nach Hause. Schade das man Trinkgeld nur bar geben kann. Beim nächsten Mal werden wir definitiv was in der Tasche haben!

Super lecker! War ein wirklich schöner Abend

Sehr schön gestaltet Restaurant mit netter Bedienung. Wir hatten 2 verschiedene Pasta Gerichte die uns leider nicht so zugesagt haben. Beide Soßen waren sehr mehllastig und zu wenig gewürzt. Ist aber alles eine Geschmackssache. Die Portionen sind groß und die Preise sind völlig ok.

Sehr schönes Restaurant, sehr gute Pizzen und sehr aufmerksames Personal. Leider haben die Portionen der Speisen deutlich zum Vorgänger nachgelassen, die Pasta muss deutlich bissfest werden, ist Leider oft verkocht, daher 1 Punkt Abzug.

Toller Service, mit großer Gruppe dort essen gewesen. Alles kam gleichzeitig, war lecker und heiß. Immer wieder gerne!

Wir waren gestern mit einer Gruppe dort essen, und war es super. Alle sind sehr freundlich, ich persönlich hatte zwei Extrawünsche, die mir erfüllt worden sind mit einer tollen super lieben Art! Das Essen hat sehr lecker geschmeckt, von den Nudeln über den Burger bis zum Schnitzel. Wir empfehlen das Restaurant auf jeden Fall weiter! Besten Dank an den Chef und das Team, es waren sehr schöne zwei Stunden! :-)

Haben sehr gut zu zweit zu Abend gegessen, der Service war gut (Carpaccio, Pizza und Tagliatelle). Würden definitiv wiederkommen, wenn wir wieder in der Gegend sind. Montag abends gut besucht, Ambiente sehr schön. Unser Hund war willkommen.

Unheimlich lecker, wir hatten das Glück zur Pilz-Zeit dort zu sein und können die Pizzen mit Pfifferlingen absolut empfehlen! Auch sehr fair fand ich, dass uns der Chef sagte, es könne länger dauern bis das Essen kommt, weil gerade zwei Kleingruppen gekommen waren. Ging dann aber viel schneller als gedacht. Service war flott und unheimlich freundlich.

Solides Restaurant in guter Lage mit top Personal. Wir waren Gäste auf dem Hof Severloh und uns wurde von anderen Gästen die Taverna empfohlen. Man kann hier absolut nicht meckern. Gerne wieder !
