Mr. Kumpir in Köln

I've never had kumpir. But today I discovered this delicacy with Eat Kampir. It was truly delicious, especially the baked potatoes mixed with cheese, which makes a delicious mash. You can choose a meat base and add whatever vegetables and other ingredients you like. The prices are inexpensive, a real treat for the price. I recommend it if you visit Cologne.

I ordered Kumpir and was unfortunately very disappointed. The employee seemed unmotivated and unfriendly. It was also unclear whether she understood German or Turkish – communication was difficult. The food itself was neither fresh nor tasty. The next day, I had severe stomach pain and diarrhea. The prices were clearly too high for the quality. Unfortunately, it wasn't a good experience – I won't order from there again.

I visited the store to try a Kumpir and was initially pleasantly surprised: The potato was very large and generously filled. There was a good selection of toppings, which were generously applied; they definitely didn't skimp on the ingredients. Unfortunately, the taste wasn't entirely convincing. The spices were completely missing, and even the salt was barely present. This made the Kumpir seem rather bland overall. With a little more seasoning and perhaps a bit of cheese, the whole thing would have tasted much better. Conclusion: Very appealing in terms of appearance and portion size, but rather disappointing in terms of taste.

Great store, very well managed, better service and best quality! I can only recommend it to everyone, keep it up men💪🏻

The delicious food (wow what a taste you can get out of a potato), the friendly staff, the beautiful and chilled atmosphere, everything is just right here!

It was the first time I tried Kumpir. The seller explained to us in detail how he prepares the Kumpir. There are ready-made Kumpir and ones that you can put together yourself. All the ingredients on display look fresh. The drink selection is plentiful. The store is very clean and modernly furnished. The only thing that bothers me is the loud music in the dining area. All in all, it was a successful visit and I can definitely recommend this restaurant.

Hello, I ordered an iced matcha latte with strawberry and unfortunately I have to say that the quality is not good. Unfortunately, the milk (cow) is of poor quality. This makes it inedible for me and I have returned it and personally complained about it. I was offered to add more matcha, but I declined. The service was friendly.

The best buddies I know. The restaurant has had a fresh, new design for some time now. The selection of fresh ingredients is very large. The service is always very friendly and, above all, fast. Vegans will also find what they are looking for here. Maybe the vegan offering will also expand. Instead of the aluminum shells, I would like to see more environmentally friendly versions. There are certainly nice porcelain bowls for consumption on site. But otherwise there is really only good things to report here. The opening times are also very long. In summer there are also some seats outside. If you haven't tried it yet, you should. Highly recommended.

An absolute insider tip in Cologne! Not only was the Kumpir huge and perfectly cooked, but it was also full of flavor and freshness. Every bite was a delight! Friendly staff. They are caring and the place is nice. I ate baked potatoes for the first time and even though I said I wouldn't be satisfied without bread, I was stuffed :) I didn't like the sauerkraut, it was a bit raw, other than that, everything was good, thank you.

I tried the Kumpir America and was absolutely thrilled! The baked potato was crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and the filling was simply delicious. The combination of ingredients was really well coordinated, simply a taste experience! It was definitely worth it and I can really recommend it to anyone who wants to try something different. Will definitely come back! 😋

I ordered a baked potato to take away and have now been waiting for over 50 minutes - for a whopping €12. Prices are rising, but apparently there are cuts in staff. That can't seriously be the claim.

To charge €11.90 for a baked potato with a few vegetables and perhaps just 50g of kebab meat is simply outrageous. Such pricing should be checked more closely by the public order office, the city of Cologne and the tax office.

I ordered Mexican 1 hour ago and had a big thirst at the beginning, it was okay after a few disgusting ones

The Kumpir were very tasty. The shop was nicely decorated, very modern. The woman at the counter wasn't that friendly, but it worked. The man at the counter was very nice. The waiting time was great, the food took less than 5 minutes. The drinks are very tasty, there are delicious drinks that are not available everywhere. The only small catch is the toilets. They are relatively clean but very small. You can hardly wash your hands. Otherwise, the store convinced me and I would go there again.

Just ordered "Chicken" kumpir. 0 chicken inside, very disappointed, just some sauce on top. Normally like the place, but wouldn't recommend to order "Chicken".

The taste was okay. Unfortunately there were too many toppings on the potato, which were unfortunately also cold, so the potato got cold quickly. Unfortunately, service was very improvable Wouldn't welcome them when they come in And then it was just “what do you get” and we wouldn’t talk about anything further Then our potatoes would be prepared and then we would be asked again what we wanted. However, at the end we asked if we could pack up the rest and everything worked well. I would come again but then use fewer toppings.

I really enjoyed my visit to Eat Kumpir. Since I was a little disappointed with the Kumpir in other stores, I was even more pleased here and was convinced of the opposite here. It tasted very tasty. I wasn't entirely convinced by my visit to Eat Kumpir. Unfortunately, the chicken disappointed me - it had more of the taste and consistency of a meat substitute, which I didn't like. The potato was quite small overall, but the price was okay. The positive thing is that you have the opportunity to put together each ingredient individually to create your perfect combination. Nevertheless, I would only maybe visit the store again, it is not a must for me. However, the renovation was definitely a big plus - it was long overdue and was good for the ambience.

It has been beautifully renovated, but due to the crowds the quality has fallen by the wayside. We paid almost €40 for 2 Kumpir and a fries with 2 drinks. Which is intense. That aside, the worst thing were the fries, apparently they were old and had been warmed up again in the deep fryer (which still meant they weren't hot) so the fries were totally greasy and disgusting and when we mentioned it we just played dumb and didn't have any New fries offered. The two Kumpir were cold, at most luke warm, the taste was still good. Side dishes or toppings very cold (like the sausages for example). We will never eat there again and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone

Ordered the Mexican Kumpir. The potato was baked to perfection. The mashed bits were absolutely fused in the cheese perfection but it still wasn't overpowering. The zaziki was perfect in combination with the American salad, couscous, which i usually don't enjoy, red cabbage, the amazingly well-marinated chicken breasts with the soft texture, the nacho-chips, the black beans. Loved it.

Our beloved Mr. Kumpir has been renovated. Unfortunately, the charm has been lost and the shop now looks like a wannabe hip fancy shop in Berlin, only now designed for hip stylo Ehrenfelder who want to spend upwards of 12 euros on a potato with side dishes 😉. The Kumpirs are still at number 1 in Cologne and are unsurpassedly delicious. The only thing that shocked us was the new prices after the renovation: 3-4 euros more per potato! Phew, it's time to check out the competition again. It's a shame, a Cologne feeding authority says goodbye 👋

Staff was nice, restaurant was renovated so it was nice too. However, the meat was not really edible and had too much fat on it, which is why it was put aside.

I actually love Mr. Kumpir a lot and ate there regularly, but I was unlucky twice that the falafels were moldy with the other ingredients, which then made me doubt the quality of the other products. It was always really tasty, but due to these two incidents, I can't go there anymore! :(

My greeting was not acknowledged and the lady initially chatted with an employee and initially ignored us. CONCLUSION: Unfortunately it didn't taste good at all. The presentation of the toppings wasn't that nice either. Didn't finish eating and still hungry. The lady was nice and friendly at the end. Went there spontaneously because our main Kumpir store was closed. Unfortunately I won't be coming back and won't recommend you.

The taste was great, the Veggie Kumpir was in front of me after (not an exaggeration) 30 seconds on Sunday evening. You can of course break the food down into its components from a business perspective and take the world market price for potatoes into account. But you don't have to. Instead, you can also be happy that you got enough for 8€ hehe.

Leckeres Essen, aber ich finde es etwas zu teuer. Besonders die Kepabland Kartoffel war sehr gut! Das Menü welches am Tisch ausliegt, zeigt leider noch die „alten“ Preise. Im Lokal war es viel zu warm und zu nass. (Die Fenster waren beschlagen und das Wasser lief an der wand und am Fenster herunter). Dadurch war unser Fensterplatz sehr unangenehm. Es gibt keine Karten Zahlung!

Die Bulgarische Bedienung war leider zu sehr mit Tratschen am handy beschäftigt anstatt für Ambiente zu sorgen. Anstatt musik im hintergrund hat man Leider gebrochene türkisch gehört. Und das beste ist ja noch so eine lust lose Bedienung. Knüller war das mann Bar bezahlen musste, weil angeblich Kartenzahlung nicht Funktioniert🤣🤣🤣. Was man nicht eintippen braucht, braucht man auch nicht "VERSTEUERN"!!!

Leider kann ich es nicht empfehlen. Zunächst wartete ich an der Theke und wurde einfach ignoriert. Meine Begrüßung wurde nicht erwidert und die Kolleginnen quatschen weiter als wäre niemand da. Als ich dann bestellen konnte viel mein Blick auf die Zutaten, die für die Kumpir zur Auswahl standen. Da wurde ich unsicher. Es sah nicht frisch aus. Nur eingelegte Sachen und die Fläche dazwischen auch nicht sonderlich sauber. Dennoch nahm ich zwei Kumpir mit, da ich unbedingt Mal probieren wollte. Das Geschmackserlebnis war ernüchternd. Es schmeckt einfach nach nichts. Weder den Käse noch die anderen Zutaten schmeckt man richtig. Alles wässrig und billige Zutaten. Mein Bauch hat sich danach echt nicht gut gefühlt.Totale Enttäuschung sowohl geschmacklich, hygienisch als auch vom Service.
