We occasionally order for pickup. The burgers, burritos, and fries are always delicious, and the service is friendly and fast. The only downside: why do you have to use Australian beef?! Locally sourced meat would be more sustainable, fresher, and therefore certainly better!

As others have already mentioned, "IT USED TO BE BETTER." We enjoyed eating there or ordering takeout. Last weekend, however, was very disappointing, and everything (an order over €35) simply ended up in the trash (the fries were very dry, the guacamole was sour, and the burgers were raw inside and smelled like cows! The food was definitely not fresh!). When I asked about it, they said, "I don't know anything about it, I wasn't there, and I'll pass it on." I haven't had a response yet! Very unprofessional and not customer-oriented. I wish you all the best and hope that things change in the future. Peace

Very good burger! The taste is absolutely top-notch! The service was friendly, well, at least the standard phrases. Unfortunately, the nice lady seems to have not yet fully internalized the customer service thing. The chef and server were quite busy; mistakes happen, it's perfectly normal; we're only human! The server accidentally charged me for two sides instead of one. When I called up my order, I told the lady that I only ordered one fries, but my bill showed two. When she served me my meal, the second side also arrived, and she added, "If you had told me earlier, I could have negotiated." I didn't touch the item; she could have easily taken it back. There was neither an apology nor a refund. Next time at the checkout, maybe repeat the order briefly to avoid mistakes. If any errors do occur, they should be more responsive. Still a recommended burger!

Super delicious, and visually, a 10/10. We ordered takeout, and despite the packaging, both burgers looked like they came from a good commercial. The plant burger, in particular, looked very good. My Double Smash and my wife's plant burger were delicious. You'll probably be seeing more of us from now on.

As an American that's eaten a lot of Burgers, this place is my sleeper pick for Burgers in the area.

The service was also very friendly, and everything was freshly prepared... the ingredients are perfect. Unfortunately, I couldn't take a photo... the burger was eaten too quickly. 🤣🤭

They were definitely better. Meat in fries polked was partly dry, otherwise not bad. When you call, the receiver is put aside and you are neither greeted nor told to wait a moment.

Burgers are extremely tasty, big and fresh! Highly recommended for takeaway for the price. Each burger/burrito can also be ordered with a veggie patty (curry patty or Mediterranean patty, no extra charge)

I recently visited Alte Metzgerei - Burger & Grill and had a fantastic experience. The burger was absolutely delicious, with perfectly seasoned meat and fresh toppings that made every bite enjoyable. So the burgers are great! The pulled pork fries are not that tasty, pulled pork is different. It was far too dry, there wasn't enough of this BBQ sauce and it tasted store-bought. It's a shame actually. I ordered sour cream, I got home and it was mayo, that can happen, but it's still a shame. Service is fine, I wouldn't say I was treated unkindly, but I rarely see customers in the store, why do people look at me like they don't want me there?

We ate there for the first time and unfortunately for the last time. I don't know how the good reviews came about, but what kind of burgers were they? The patty fell apart, the bread was far dry and the ingredients all tasted pretty bitter. We also had the cheese fries and the cheese sauce had nothing to do with cheese. It was soggy and didn't taste like anything. But the service was friendly.

Great classic burger, I recommend it

Update: I was here a second time and tried a burger with fries for a change. It was okay, much better than the burrito from last time (see below), but I find the prices quite high for a takeaway. Depending on the burger (only 150g patties), you can easily pay €18-20 in total with fries, dip and drink! These are prices that you now pay in averagely good restaurants, but not in snack bars. The price-performance ratio simply doesn't fit here, there are simply better alternatives at this price. There is definitely no (price-wise) attractive menu offering here. --- A small shop with very friendly staff. I only ate here once and ordered a burrito. Unfortunately the burrito was pretty bland for my taste. The burrito was huge, generously filled and obviously made with a lot of love. Visually it's a real feast for the eyes. However, the filling with chili con carne was too firm and not well seasoned. I've eaten a lot of burritos at different Mexican restaurants, including in California. The basis is usually a good tomato-based seasoning sauce or pico de gallo. Something like that would improve the burrito enormously here, maybe also some coriander and guacamole. Somehow the tortilla didn't taste particularly good either. Unfortunately everything was relatively dry and without any seasoning. The shop obviously doesn't specialize in Mexican food, but it does offer various variations of hamburgers and burritos as the main course.

Fries were super crispy. It was just a little very stuffy in the store.

Super tasty and fresh burgers. You can taste that everything is made by yourself. Burger sizes that fill you up! The vegetarian version is also recommended. Potential to become the Burladen we trust!

War mein 2. Besuch, dieses mal früher. Der Burger (Chilli Con carne chese) ist einfach super lecker, das Brötchen ist gut, das Party sehr lecker, chili con carne ebenfalls lecker. Bedienung ist nett und freundlich. Küche ist einsehbar, Zubereitung sehr zügig, Preis Leistung stimmt ebenfalls alles in allem 5 Sterne und das zu recht.

Hab nichts zu meckern, war geil.

Leckere Burger zum fairen Preis würde ich sagen. Bedienung war freundlich und Küche ist offen einsehbar. Kleiner Laden leider ohne Klima.

Der Name passt zum Konzept, einfach eingerichtet und voller Fokus aufs Produkt. Tolle und ausgefallene Burger in sehr guter Qualität mit tollem Geschmack, auch wenn ich bei den Fritten etwas Pech hatte. Komme beim nächsten Besuch in Köln aber auf jeden Fall wieder.

Keine Parkmöglichkeiten und somit erst einmal einen Fußmarsch. Dann harte Pommes, trockene Bunns, das Patty hatte keine Struktur und war von den anderen Zutaten nicht zu unterscheiden. Das Personal ist nicht das freundlichste. Alles in allem nie wieder. Wenn ich könnte würde ich keinen Punkt geben.

Bester Burger, so leckeres Fleisch einfach ne Wucht, sucht seines gleichen.

Hier soll es einmal gute Burger gegeben haben. Heute eher das Schlechteste, das ich jemals gegessen habe. Außer der sog. Biersoße, die eher nach billiger scharfer Tomatensoße geschmeckt hat, Null Geschmack von Rindfleisch, Gurken/Zwiebeln oder Brötchen. Das „Rindfleisch“ war weiß, feinkrümelig und ohne Bindung und Geschmack. Auf Nachfrage nach fehlendem Besteck, wurden wir auf die Behältnisse auf den anderen Tischen verwiesen. Preis 11,- Euro 1/2 Stück. Die andere Hälfte ging mit dem Teller zurück.

Einfach ein Burgerladen wie man ihn sich vorstellt. Klasse Vielfalt, frisch belegt und hochwertiges Fleisch! Immer wieder :-)

Würde sagen einer der besten Burger in der Kölner Umgebung und unschlagbare Preis/Leistung. Hier besteht auf jedenfall Wiederholungsbedarf.

Der beste Burger den ich gegessen habe. Alles wird frisch zubereitet. Auf jedenfall eine 1+ Wurde mehr Punkte auf jedenfall geben wenn es möglich wäre. Super miejsce. Lubię dużo zjeść, ale burger z frytkami to była naprawdę ogromna porcja, ledwo się stamtąd wytoczyłem po posiłku;) Burger bardzo dobry, solidny rozmiarem i podany w ten sposób, że można bmgo było w miarę łatwo jeść. Miałem tylko wrażenie, że jest minimalnie zbyt suchy, było odrobię za mało sosu. Frytki dobre, takie grubsze,sosy również ok. Niestety, nie ma piwa. Lokal jest dość mały, raptem trzy stoły, ale można w nim powiedzieć na czas konsumpcji;)

Fleusch ist schmackhaft und saftig, die Buns sind genau so wie sie sein sollen. Die Jalapeños sind scharf und der Sour Cream erfrischend zu den knusprigen Pommes. Die Jungs sind gut drauf & freundlich 😊 Hier gehe ich gerne wieder einen leckeren Burger essen 👍

Wir haben hier immer gerne essen geholt, da es sehr lecker war und von sehr guter Qualität. Heute leider die absolute Enttäuschung. Checken Wings verkohlt (was wir auch telefonisch reklamiert haben), die Pommes alt und scheinbar nochmal aufgewärmt. Für die Preise leider ein No Go. Wir werden zukünftig daher leider nicht mehr zu Euren (bisher treuen) Kunden gehören.

Wir waren dass erste Mal hier. Essen war wirklich sehr lecker und es herrscht eine coole lockere und lustige Stimmung, genau wie wir es lieben. Natürlich etwas teurer aber hier stimmt dass Preis Leistungs Verhältnis! Wir kommen wieder!

Die Woche das erste mal nach knapp 2 Jahren nochmal hier gewesen. Burrito chicken war ganz okay, aber früher geschmacklich besser. Der Burger hat echt merkwürdig geschmeckt und auch etwas komisch gerochen. Leider konnte ich diesen nach 3 bissen nicht weiter essen. Der Kollege am Telefon kommt etwas genervt rüber, aber die Bestellungen bekommen sie trotzdem hin. Pommes waren vereinzelt welche dabei, die nicht nur 1x frittiert worden sind. Krautsalat schmeckt eigentlich nur nach mayo. Für das, was man bekommt ziemlich teuer. Vielleicht gebe ich bald nochmal eine Chance, aber momentan würde ich nicht nochmal hin gehen

Kein großer Wurf. Burger und SpareRibs sind okay. Die schlechte Bewertung kommt von der fehlenden Resonanz, seitens des Managements. Haben jetzt ein paar Wochen auf eine Antwort einer sehr freundlichen Mail gewartet. Für eine eine Bestellung als TakeOut für rund 43€ fehlte die Hälfte vom SpareRibs Menü. Pommes und Coleslaw können also nicht bewertet werden. Da es keine Antwort gab, und es egal scheint, ist die Bewertung zwar ehrlich, aber vermutlich auch egal.

Das Essen war ganz ok... Leider ist 'Medium' sehr durch. Geschmacklich aber ohne größere Einwände. Für den Preis erwarte ich allerdings dann doch, dass Medium auch Medium ist. 😅😅😅

Früher war ich gern mal dort einen Burger holen, jetzt wurde ich enttäuscht. Unaufgeräumt, Tische nicht sauber, Preise gut angezogen, die Burger nur noch Mittelklasse. Aber der bun, das war gefühlt ein Brötchen aus dem Aldi vom Vortag, sehr knusprig aufgebacken. Schade.

Früher war alles besser... Trifft hier auch zu. Geschmacklich und qualitativ kommen sie leider nicht mehr an früher heran. Schade eigentlich. Scheint aber jeder Burgerladen in Köln so zu handhaben... Über die Preise brauchen wir eigentlich nicht sprechen. Würde an die Qualität von früher angeknüpft, wäre der Preis gerechtfertigt. Hoffe dennoch auf Besserung.

Seit Jahren unser Favorit. Wir haben schon sehr viele Gerichte dort ausprobiert aber Top 1 bleiben die Spareribs mit der BBQ-Sauce. Auch versch. Pommes und Burger mit Veggie Pettys schmecken auch toll (ps sehr cool, dass man die Pettys selbst aussuchen kann). Noch ein +Punkt ist die Papierverpackung. Dass die Preise angehoben werden, finde ich verständlich und qualitatives Fleisch kostet nun mal!

This was recommended to me as the best burger in Cologne. I wouldn't go that far. It was a great burger, and the fries are fantastic. I don't know if there was something wrong with the chipotle sauce we were served with the fries, but it was bad. The other aioli sauce was good. The staff were friendly and helpful. I would imagine that if you have a larger group, eating there would not be very easy. I don't think that more than 6 would work very well.

Burger haben super Qualität, aber warum setzt man die Preise auf einmal so extrem hoch und macht dazu die Patties noch kleiner. Deshalb bin ich kein Kunde mehr. Schade..

Die neue Karte ist für die alten Enttäuschend! Weniger Fleisch, dafür die Preise um über 10% angehoben. Ich bin leider kein Kunde mehr.

Die Burger sind weiterhin sehr lecker. Die Sternabzüge gelten der neuen Preise. Dass die Preise angepasst werden müssen und Qualität kostet ist mir durchaus bewusst, aber nicht in diesem Maße. Absolut überzogen und maßlos. In meinem Fall und Bestellung wurden aus 180 Gramm Patty 150 Gramm aber der Preis ist trotzdem um saftige 5€ von 23 auf 28€ gestiegen. Ich bin wirklich gerne zum Essen gekommen, aber diese Preispolitik werde ich nicht unterstützen. SCHADE!
