Sehr Lecker , und der 375 Gramm brüger einfach nur top und der Server einfach nur nett und schnell ebenso das Essen kommt sehr schnell

Waren hier zum Public Viewing, die Cocktails waren sehr lecker und auch das Personal durchweg sehr freundlich:) wir kommen wieder

Eine sehr angenehme Location. Trotz der Tatsache dass es Samstagabend war und schon ca 21.30 Uhr, konnte ich noch etwas zu essen bestellen. Der Service ist freundlich und aufmerksam, Cocktails und Essen kann ich nur weiterempfehlen! Komme in zwei Jahren (geschäftlich) gerne wieder hierher 😃

Wir Waren ein paarmal Essen und neulich wieder Mal zum Frühstück. Sind vom Personal, Ambiente und der Küche sehr zu Frieden, vor allem vom reichhaltigen Auswahl. Gerne wieder :-)

Ich bin mit meinem Freund hierher gekommen und ich hatte den Hashbrown Burger. Als der Burger kam, war ich ein wenig überrascht, da der Burger kein Brötchen hatter. Das Resti solite die Basis sein, stand leider nur bedingt auf der Karte. Ansonsten sehr lecker! Service war super aber durch den Bahnhof ist das draußen Sitzen gewöhnungsbedürftig. Preise sind fair.

Jede sekunde kommt ein Kellner "Möchtest du was noch trinken". Man fühlt sich hier als schwarzfarbiger Unwohl durch die Blicke der Manager und der Kellner

Ich bin immer wieder gerne hier. Das Essen schmeckt super, die Cocktails sind Klasse und das Personal hat mich bisher auch jedes Mal überzeugt.

Ich war wirklich enttäuscht von meinem Besuch in diesem Restaurant. Das Essen war zwar durchschnittlich, aber das eigentliche Problem ist der Geschäftsführer. So ein unfreundliches und respektloses Verhalten gegenüber Gästen habe ich selten erlebt. Schon beim Betreten wurde man kaum beachtet, und auf Nachfragen reagierte er genervt und teilweise sogar herablassend. Statt sich um die Gäste zu kümmern oder zumindest höflich zu bleiben, hatte man das Gefühl, komplett unerwünscht zu sein. Auch bei kleinen Problemen wurde nicht lösungsorientiert gehandelt, sondern eher abweisend. Man sagt ja „der Fisch stinkt vom Kopf“ – und genau diesen Eindruck hatte ich hier. Wenn die Führung so auftritt, ist es kein Wunder, dass der gesamte Service darunter leidet. Ein Restaurant steht und fällt mit dem Service und wenn die Leitung so mit Kunden umgeht, spiegelt sich das leider im gesamten Erlebnis wider. Ich werde definitiv nicht wiederkommen und kann es auch niemandem empfehlen.

Das essen wars ganz gudd und der service auch

Als Gießnerin muss ich sagen das Mr Jones ist wirklich schon lange nicht mehr das, was es mal war. Ich war heute dort und habe eine Portion “frech Fries” bestellt nun was soll ich sagen. Da hätte ich auch nebenan zum Döner Grill gehen können so hat es geschmeckt. Da sitzt man in einer Bar/restaurant/Café und die Pommes schmecken schlechter als von einer Pommes Bude. Total lieblos auf den Teller geklatscht, ne Riesen Flasche Ketchup dazu (von Heinz, aus Glas, wenn man die Flasche öffnet, schwabbt einem der ganze Ketchup raus). Also nein, hier gehe ich ganz sicherlich nicht mehr hin. Jedes Mal ist es die vollste Enttäuschung.

Ich kam bis jetzt immer spontan mit Freunden und wir mussten nie lange auf einen Tisch warten. Bedienung ist auch freundlich und es ist lecker dort.

Autoritätre Chefin mit wenig Empathie musste ich erleben. Nicht wirklich zuvorkommend. Schade, werde es nicht empfehlen können oder dort künftig speisen.

Katastrophe sag ich da nur der Schichtleieter oder Betriebsleiter ist nicht freundlich

Sehr schönes Ambiente, jedoch war der Service nicht zufriedenstellend. Wir saßen zu viert an einen Tisch und drei Bedienungen sind andauernd an uns vorbei ohne uns zu beachten. Mussten lange warten um eine Bestellung aufzugeben.

Wir waren gestern zum Frühstücken da . Das hatte leider nicht ganz so viel Auswahl, wie wir es uns vorgestellt hatten. Trotzdem wurde man auf jeden Fall satt. Besonders der Pfannkuchen mit Nutella war sehr lecker. Die Bedienung war außerdem sehr nett und aufmerksam, was den Besuch insgesamt angenehm gemacht hat.

Ein Lehrstück in mangelnder Gastlichkeit „Ein Stern ist objektiv betrachtet noch großzügig bemessen. Aufgrund des Schneechaos waren wir gezwungen, im Mr. Jones Zuflucht zu suchen - eine Entscheidung, die ich schnell bereute. Während das Personal bemüht war, glänzte der Inhaber durch eine bemerkenswerte Empathielosigkeit. Obwohl sieben von acht Personen bestellten, sah sich der Chef genötigt, die einzige Person ohne Getränk zu maßregeln. In einem leeren Lokal zahlende Gäste zu bedrängen, die sichtlich erschöpft vom dreistündigen Warten in der Kälte waren, zeugt von einer erschreckenden sozialen Inkompetenz. Dies deckt sich mit meinen Erfahrungen aus einem früheren Vorstellungsgespräch: Arroganz gepaart mit absurden Fragen. Dass Praktikanten abgelehnt werden, weil sie sich - völlig logisch - erst einmal orientieren wollen, unterstreicht das starre und rückschrittliche Weltbild dieses Hauses. Wer zudem die Rezensionen bezüglich der Frische der Speisen liest, ist am Ende fast dankbar für die Ablehnung. Ein Besuch hier ist keine Empfehlung, sondern höchstens eine Notlösung für Gestrandete."

Wir waren bei Mr. Jones zum frühstücken. Es war eine sehr angenehme Atmosphäre. Die Bedienungen waren unfassbar freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Auswahl an Essen hätte etwas mehr sein können. Aber an sich war die Qualität sehr gut. Das Preis Leistungsverhältnis stimmt auch. War ein schöner Start in den Tag dort.

Der Sonntags Brunch war leider sehr enttäuschend. Früher wurde hier richtig viel aufgefahren, es gab warme Speisen. Ein tolles Müsli, Croissants und Ähnliches, frische Waffeln. Jetzt gibt es Frikadellen aus der Verpackung und die billigen Waffeln aus dem Supermarkt. Für 18,90 € auf gar keinen Fall zu empfehlen.

Mein Wrap war fast kalt und auch sehr trocken und der Beilagen Salat mit viel zu viel Essig. Das burger Fleisch war auch nicht gut gewürzt und man hat raus geschmeckt das es alles tiefgekühlt Gerichte sind. Kibba war lecker.

Mr. Jones is a great place to eat. The food is tasty, although a lot of it is obviously frozen, but it still tastes good. The prices are a bit too high for what you get... even considering it's right next to the train station. The atmosphere is also... sometimes it feels a bit cramped. But otherwise, it's a great place to stop by... especially when the train is delayed.

Very welcoming staff and friendly towards dogs. We were immediately given water for our dog. The buffet was plentiful and delicious. The staff was very attentive and regularly checked on our well-being. Highly recommended!

We stopped here briefly for lunch, as it was conveniently close to the train station. The waiter was very friendly, and we had really delicious cocktails and good food. Definitely recommended.

During the "Resist the Right" weekend (Friday and Saturday), the restaurant was a wonderful host for the "Grandmas Against the Right" in the evenings. The grandmothers from Giessen and their many guests from all over Germany received an exceptionally warm and attentive welcome and service. I'm sure the restaurant gained many new customers.

Yesterday, seven of us went out for breakfast, and well, what can I say? We didn't find it tasty at all. We like hearty food and were really looking forward to the bacon, but unfortunately, it had bones and a rind that was barely edible. The eggs tasted like nothing, and there were only three or four types of sausage.

For many, many years, it's been a regular haunt in Giessen, formerly with my buddies, now more often with the kids – huge praise for doing a clean, reliable job! We've always left Mr. Jones completely satisfied.

Very friendly and helpful service. The Caesar salad was excellent. And they also had my favorite beer.

We were there today at 12:31 AM, and even though the noticeboard and the internet said it was open until 1:00 AM and there were still a lot of people sitting there, we were told it was closed. We ate at Mr. Jones with a large group of about 30 people on a Friday evening. Since we were among the first guests in our group, we placed our orders right away. Unfortunately, the service was very disorganized from the start. While my friends received their food relatively quickly, I waited over two hours for my burger. Despite repeatedly politely asking the waiter in charge (young, blond, tall), I simply received the reply that the food would be included "in the next round." Even when guests who arrived much later were served long ago, my food never arrived. On my third request, the waiter reacted rudely and even told me to "calm down" and stop getting so upset about a "shitty burger." I consider such language towards a guest to be absolutely disrespectful and unprofessional. Other members of our group also had problems: orders arrived incorrectly or weren't served at all. The food also didn't taste great – the burger was described as bland, and the chicken salad was very dry. Several guests also complained of stomach aches later on. I used to work in the restaurant industry myself and know that stress is part of the job. But I would have at least expected the waiter to actively check whether my order had arrived in the kitchen instead of fobbling me off with empty promises. Overall, it was unfortunately a very disappointing evening. The service, friendliness, and quality of the food were not up to the standard one would expect from a restaurant visit. Conclusion: I cannot recommend Mr. Jones in Giessen. Reply: Dear Mr. Jones Team, Thank you for your feedback. However, I would like to comment on a few points: First of all: I was only present at the event that evening as a guest and did not make the reservation or organize it. The reference to my professional experience in the hospitality industry was merely a comparison to illustrate that I understand the processes and stresses of serving staff – nothing more. Regarding wheelchair users: In this day and age, accessibility should be a given. As a group, we took care of the guest, carrying him upstairs and back down again. I find it inappropriate to use this as an explanation for the organizational difficulties. Furthermore, I didn't voice my complaint "behind the scenes," but rather politely approached the responsible waiter several times on the spot. Unfortunately, they didn't check whether my order had even been received by the kitchen. Instead, I was simply repeatedly told to be patient. We went there for breakfast today. The breakfast buffet included a variety of sausages and cheeses, scrambled and boiled eggs, sausages, fruit salad, quark, muesli, rolls, and bread. The price includes coffee, tea, and orange juice. The staff was very friendly.

Very unfriendly conditions. We were a group of students and had arrived with the goal of meeting at Mr. Jones's, having breakfast, and then going on a city tour. Some members of the group arrived shortly before opening. We sat down and waited for the rest of the group. The staff repeatedly reminded us that the restaurant didn't open until 10:00 a.m. and asked us to leave the outdoor area immediately and go somewhere else. So we changed our meeting point and left. Neither my students nor I had ever experienced anything like that. That was the first and last time at Mr. Jones's for me and my school...

I had a meeting with some friends at Jones today. Since the weather was very nice, it was a good idea to sit outside. The cocktails looked very good and also tasted delicious. We didn't have to wait that long, which of course made us very happy. I can actually only say the same thing about the food, even if it was a bit expensive. But a visit is worth it.

Mr. Jones was only good for his cocktail cube montage, but putting it on hiatus every summer is suspect to me. Well apparently they make enough profit that they can afford it. It's also shocking that the prizes have been increased from 1-6 to 3-8 depending on the number rolled. It's no fun anymore. No wonder why it's not so crowded on Mondays. Of course I can understand that the prices have increased, but 3-6 would have been enough. 3-8 is just disrespectful. In addition, my friend and I both rolled an 8 three times in a row. If the dice aren't marked, I don't know what to do next. It's not what it used to be. Too bad!

I was really disappointed with my visit. There were aphids in my drink, which I politely told the manager. Instead of showing understanding or offering a solution, I was fobbed off by saying that it was a “natural product” and that “no one else would have complained”. I find this reaction completely inappropriate as hygiene and customer service should come first. Unfortunately I won't be coming back here.

Aphids in the glass - and the manager just said that this was normal, after all a natural product. Excuse me? None. We didn't want a discount or replacement at all, but some understanding would have been nice. Instead, the water with the aphids continued to be freely available to all guests. If you like extras of this kind, you've come to the right place...

We've been to the buffet before and thought it was good. This time too we were really looking forward to the visit, but what we experienced was simply disappointing. There were aphids swimming in the water at the buffet – yes, you read that right, aphids. When we politely pointed this out to the staff, we were told that this was “normal” and part of a “natural product”. It's nice that they explained to us right away how little our opinion counts, because "it doesn't bother anyone else." It seems that hygiene is interpreted relatively here, and criticism seems to be ignored rather than taken seriously. Thank you for this “experience”. A visit that we will certainly not repeat. We didn't want a discount or anything like that, but I think the water would have had to be put away, but it was still freely accessible to everyone. Good morning, Was there for the first time and found it really outstanding. The atmosphere is very appealing and the drinks were very excellent. The staff brought the drinks very quickly and was super friendly. I haven't tried the food, I'll probably have to next time. All in all, only recommended. I won't be a regular there. We were only there because we were invited. I would not choose this location as a host. 1. No parking spaces (only parking garage and that is expensive 3 hours 5.70 euros) 2. If you have to sit upstairs and have to walk down to the buffet every time, that's inconvenient. 3. The scrambled eggs were ice cold by the time I got to my seat upstairs. I can't get around well with a slight walking disability. 4. It pulled really hard, my leg was ice cold, like scrambled eggs. 5. The waitress had something with her ears or the music was too loud. 6. Conclusion for me: once and never again!

When my wife told me she wanted to go there and compared it with other restaurants in Frankfurt & Wiesbaden, I was at least curious. 2.) The team An outstanding team from the first contact to the end! Polite, courteous, kind, careful, professional, attentive,… I can think of other words. But I also don’t want to make it hard to read. 3.) The ambience Anyone who has been out and about here and there in Germany's metropolises, whether in the evening or in the morning, will know this type of restaurant. Everything seems round, inviting and gives a feeling of coziness. “A touch of vacation,” my wife remarked and I can only agree! 4.) The Food - Brunch on Sunday morning I like to take a break from everyday life, even with children, on Sunday mornings. So I've already tried a few places. What did I get here in the middle of Gießen - even in comparison? Two things surprised me more than positively from the first moment: as much coffee as I wanted (they didn't expect me! 😁) and the hygiene! Here's the highlight: The offering of jam and butter was in small, closed jars. The offer itself can be described as “small” compared to various alternatives. However, nothing is missing and, as if by magic, the relatively small amount of each meal is quickly replenished as it nears the end. So I got the impression and tasted that the things were all fresh. 5.) Conclusion Unusually short: I love it! And I will definitely come back! Thanks to the team in front of and behind the kitchen door!

The service was there quickly and the drinks we ordered were brought quickly. However, we found the mixed finger food for 20 euros to be a bit low compared to the price. There was a mozzarella stick and two chicken wings. Plus a few potato wedges and tortilla chips with two dips. The cocktails were all very tasty and the service was very nice and quick.

Dear Mr.Jones team, we visited you yesterday for the first time in about 15 years (OMG, could it really have been that long ago?). With children and a lot of luggage and on the way to the train heading north. Since the large fast food chain in the train station has been frequented too often during our travels, we decided to take a detour to Mr.Jones. Due to a small hiccup in the travel plan, we had less time than expected and had to order take-away food - but you still gave us a very warm welcome, took the order quickly, served drinks and made the kids very happy with the prompt delivery of the large children's menu to color in made. It sweetened part of the long journey for them. The club sandwiches I ordered had plenty of toppings, everything was crisp and fresh, and my order - without sauce/dressing - was carried out completely correctly, labeled well and the sandwich was still super tasty. The fries survived the journey to the train well and were very well received. The portion sizes were generous and, in my opinion, the food was not too expensive compared to other providers. The missing star in the ambience is due to my preference for smaller locations and only has something to do with the fact that it often gets too loud for me in such large, open rooms later in the evening (if this is no longer the case for you due to structural measures Of course the 5th should come along 😉). But that is a personal feeling and will certainly be perceived differently by many people. Architecturally it has something to offer, the high ceilings. In any case, we will come back next time we visit Giessen and have more time with us.

Well, what can you say, it could have been so nice. The Mr.Jones is nicely decorated and the service was friendly...but that's where the positive ends! Unfortunately, the food is of poor canteen quality. Frozen goods, tasteless and overpriced. For the prices you expect at least solid food. If you walk out of the store and think that I could have done better at home for a quarter of the price, something is really wrong. We thought that after we hadn't been to Mr.Jones for a good 10 years, we could eat there again (the food there used to be quite good). Unfortunately, an absolute zero number. After we ate (because we were hungry) we told the waitress that it wasn't really good. We were then told that we should have complained about it at the beginning and then they would have brought us something else. To be honest, it makes no sense if the chef has unfortunately already declared taste insolvency on the first try. We didn't want a discount either! We see it as a lesson.

I was very disappointed with my visit to Mr. Jones today! I have been eating there regularly for many years since the store opened, the last time was 8 years ago and up until then I was always very satisfied with the food on offer. Everything tasted great throughout! However, today I was served something that was more like a poor canteen meal and was absolutely not worth the €19.90! My chicken strips called "Creamy Chicken" were not creamy in the least and had a tasteless watery sauce, with industrial topiary chicken (like the frozen chicken strips from Aldi) and 3 mushroom strips that you had to look for. There were also 3 tiny little Rösti that seemed to come from a large package from METRO and were also tasteless and barely hinted at a potato taste! The best thing was the included salad variation. Since I was so hungry and all the service staff had either disappeared behind the counter or were otherwise busy, I ate most of it and only expressed my dissatisfaction when I was paying! I didn't expect to have to pay anything for my food, but saw it as a lesson and mentally wrote off the place because I know that there are some better alternatives in the catering sector in Gießen that are cheaper and understand their craft better. The gentleman from the shift management, who was called over by the nice lady from the service (who couldn't do anything about the food) because of my criticism, unfortunately didn't react in a particularly understanding or customer-oriented way! He just said that I should have reported earlier so that I would have been offered something else to eat! Plus, “he” has been eating Creamy Chicken every 2-3 days for 14 years and it’s always good! But that doesn't mean that it's good for everyone else and is a guarantee!!! I demonstrated to him the wateriness of the sauce that covered the plate, but he wasn't interested! Mentioned that the description of the food on the menu was misleading, he talked his way out of it! I also said that I didn't want any other food because my partner's food wasn't good either and I wouldn't expect anything else to taste better, let alone wait half an hour for new food when I was hungry you don't even have to! Just wanted to criticize! Didn't have the feeling that they were getting into it in any way! As expected, we ended up paying the full price and however, unfortunately I will no longer recommend Mr Jones! What a shame! Unfortunately, I thought that if you go to a professional and pay professional prices you will also get professional quality! Unfortunately not with Mr. Jones!

Unfortunately, I was very disappointed with the holiday breakfast. The price of €18.90 is absolutely not justified for me. Very little selection and cheap quality, for example, fresh egg waffles from the package from the discount store are simply dusted with a little powdered sugar. The “fruit salad” actually only consisted of apples. I expected much more and have already gotten it in other restaurants for the same price.

My pregnant wife ordered a non-alcoholic cocktail and received one with alcohol. Under no circumstances should this happen! When the waiter brought the drink it didn't really look like what we expected. When we asked again whether the drink was really non-alcoholic, he assured us again that it was definitely non-alcoholic. Unfortunately it wasn't alcohol free. They apologized and then brought the right drink. This one looked nothing like the first. Color and glass were different. The waiter should have noticed this, at the latest when we asked. Absolute disaster...

Overall, I enjoy coming here. The service is great, as is the selection of drinks and food. But what really bothers me: warm orange juice at the breakfast buffet and €8.50 for this tiny chocolate cake, which is really a bit excessive in my opinion.
