The pizza is okay, but nothing special enough to make you want to come back. The service has a lot to learn, especially in terms of friendliness, and the location is okay.

One of my favorite pizzas in Munich! Really great. In the summer you can sit outside with delicious drinks.

Delicious food, but abysmal service. We had reserved a table for 8 pm. Until 8:45 pm, no one came to take our order, not even for drinks. We waved several times, but no one acknowledged us until I got up and politely asked at the counter if we could order. The drinks and food arrived relatively quickly. However, shortly after 9 pm, we were the last guests still eating. At 9 pm, the lights were dimmed and the music turned up loud, so we could barely see our food and could hardly have a conversation. After we finished eating, no one came by for almost an hour. We would have liked to order more drinks, but apparently the Mozzamo team didn't. When we finally paid, another person came, who was incredibly unfriendly. I understand that when it's busy, the waiters are stressed. But they could at least apologize if they completely forgot about us, instead of adding a silly comment afterward. The food was truly exceptionally delicious, and thankfully there are other Mozzamo restaurants in Munich. Because we certainly won't be coming back here.

MOZZAMO in Munich has become one of my favorite Italian restaurants in the city. The moment you walk in, you feel right at home: a modern, cozy ambiance, pleasant music, and an atmosphere that's perfect for both a relaxed dinner and a get-together with friends. I chose the Pizza Prosciutto – and it was a real highlight. The dough is thin, crispy, and wonderfully airy, just as a perfect Neapolitan pizza should be. The prosciutto tastes fresh and aromatic, the tomato sauce is fruity and not too acidic, and the mozzarella melts into a deliciously creamy mess. With every bite, you can tell that high-quality ingredients are used and that the kitchen staff truly knows their craft. The service also deserves high praise: friendly, attentive, always present, but never intrusive. You feel welcome and well taken care of. Overall, a thoroughly enjoyable experience – fantastic pizza, a great atmosphere, and a professional team.

I have never experienced such poor service in any restaurant, and it was particularly unpleasant during the business lunch. I won't be back. Best of luck with it.

Positive aspects: - The pizza was good. - The waitress was very friendly. Negative aspects: - Tables were placed wherever possible. There was hardly any room to get to other tables. - The restaurant was very noisy due to the tables being so crowded. - The appetizer was forgotten. - The waitress was super friendly, but completely overwhelmed by the number of customers. Meanwhile, a colleague was just standing at the door managing reservations. A different division of tasks would be much more sensible. - It took 20 minutes before we could even order drinks again, and another 10 minutes before we received them. - The overall look is okay. - There isn't even a toilet seat in the men's restroom.

I went to Mozzamo and had a pizza there – by far the best oven-baked pizza I've had in Munich so far! The dough was perfect, the ingredients were fresh, and the flavor was simply outstanding. Add to that a beautiful ambiance that immediately makes you feel at home, and the service was attentive and friendly. Many thanks to the entire team – we'll definitely be back!

I have to agree with the critics: the food was good, the service not. We had to wait an hour for our food (and a long time for drinks too). Some of the people next to us, who arrived after us, got their pizzas earlier. The tables for two are tightly packed. If they removed a table, the atmosphere would be more relaxed. They're asking guests to leave a positive review after receiving negative reviews, allegedly due to an understaffed evening. However, there are also older negative reviews that repeatedly express the same criticisms. It would be better to remove one or two tables, be less focused on sales, and focus more on service; then this could become something long-term.

Beautiful interior - abysmal service: Despite having a reservation, we were initially rudely turned away and made to wait. Then we waited over an hour for drinks (one water, one beer, two Aperols), and almost another hour for the pizza, with no apology whatsoever. Overall, absolutely unacceptable – we certainly won't be back.

A very nice restaurant, but clearly understaffed. We had to wait half an hour each for our menu, after which we had to wait another hour for drinks and food. They also made us wait 15 minutes outside the restaurant, despite having a reservation. Instead of apologizing, the head waiter acted as if nothing had happened and explained the delay with a supposed lack of wine glasses. The food itself was solid, but nothing special compared to the wide selection of fantastic Neapolitan pizzas in Munich. Despite the generally good reviews, this restaurant was a huge disappointment and, due to the disastrous service, I would not recommend it.

The food is delicious and the service is excellent. The only drawback is that the tables are placed too close to each other. Other than that, the restaurant is of a very high standard overall.

Despite our reservation we were kept waiting and then seated at a table that had been free all along. The order came late, and no one checked on us during the meal. Very nice restaurant with high stucco ceilings. Apparently, it was once a famous coffee house 100 years ago. Great waiter: Gigi Unfortunately, the food was just average. Signature mozzarella was ice cold. Bruschetta was boring. The focaccia, however, was very good and crispy. Wine recommendation: Pinot Grigio, okay.

We found a spot for our group on the terrace at 9:30 p.m. It was really nice, but the service was unfortunately terrible. The waiter wasn't very friendly and got annoyed when we only ordered a bottle of wine for our table. The food was very good, the pizza was ready quickly, and really delicious. At the end, the waiter rudely asked for a tip. We wanted to give cash, but unfortunately, he was very aggressive, and we left. Then he insulted us in Italian, saying "vaffanculo" and that we were stingy. That was the first time a waiter had insulted me, so we were shocked. That's why I'm only giving it one star.

The pizza was really good. However the servers are all extremely focused on getting you to order more. We were asked multiple times if we are sure we don’t want to order starters, desserts etc. As soon as we were finished eating and did not want to order another drink immediately we were asked to leave. Mozzamo is a real discovery! The pizza is spectacular—soft and light dough, super-fresh ingredients, and truly perfect flavor combinations. You can tell they're passionate about what they do! The staff is incredibly kind and helpful, always smiling. The atmosphere is relaxed, the place is well-kept, and the place is welcoming—perfect for an evening with friends or a casual yet quality dinner. I tried the Margherita and the Diavola: each one better than the last! I'll be back soon to try more. Mozzamo is tops! ❤️

Mozzamo is a beautifully decorated Italian restaurant in impressive premises, centrally located in Maxvorstadt. The service is friendly and very professional. Normally, the restaurant only offers a few classic vegan options, such as pizza without cheese, bruschetta, or the occasional pasta dish. However, we were there during the vegan promotion week – and we loved it! 🌱 From lasagna to pizza with king oyster mushrooms, there was a great selection, and everything was absolutely delicious. Just as worthy as the Nymphenburg Palace of a trip out. MOZZAMO has an excellent selection of flavourful and fresh Italian bites that are sure to impress and satisfy. From their complimentary fresh focaccia to their delectable pizza and decadent desserts, MOZZAMO brought a fantastic end to our time in Munich. Despite its lack of an English menu, MOZZAMO made us feel welcome with its helpful staff providing insightful tips on how/what to order for a balanced meal. Ciao MOZZAMO!

Very good pizza, best I’ve tasted in Munich so far, made freshly in front of you. Price is reasonable for what you get, other than the drinks which is expensive (5 euros for water 🥲). The restaurant has a very unique layout with the chef making pizza in the middle of the room, directly in front of you. Wait time is long but worth the wait because of the pizza. Tiramisu was very good, light and creamy! Very satisfied overall.

Great food. Original pizza! Very good drinks. Just to get a proper Italian meal (prima, secondo, etc.) you need around 100 euros per person, including drinks.... The portions were too small for me. Good value for money. So, 100 euros to fill you up... Okay in the summer, for a pizza in the beer garden. It's very loud, like most places. Vehicles pass by within 20 cm of your back.... Better to enjoy the atmosphere inside. It's great. But it's too hot to sit inside in the summer. I'm already looking forward to the next pizza!

Friendly staff, the beef was cooked just right, with a lovely herb crust. Like in a family Italian restaurant, a member of staff came by to check if everything was ok. For this quality it was not expensive at all. The downside might be the relatively small selection of main dishes other than pasta, but even the pizza was superbly prepared. Fast service and elegant atmosphere.

Food was really nice as was the service. What really let us down was the waiter serving us. Very friendly the whole time but as soon it came to paying he asked, do you want to give me tip which normally I would without asking but when staff are begging for it it completely puts me off. He then became very miserable with us despite acting like we were best mates the whole time inside. People shouldn't feel forced into tipping, this isn't the US...👎

The Mozzamo completely convinced my girlfriend and I! The people are friendly, always have the guests in mind and serve very good food at an absolutely fair price. It was slightly too cold for us, but there wasn't that much going on when we visited.

I recently dined at Mozzamo, and while the food itself met my expectations, the experience was marred by service issues. It was clear the staff was stretched thin; some of our orders never arrived, and there was a significant delay between my meal and my husband’s, with his arriving about 15 minutes after mine. The seating arrangement could also use improvement, as the tables are placed quite close together, making it feel cramped. Given the premium pricing, I would expect a smoother dining experience and more attention to service capacity. I would suggest that the restaurant consider limiting reservations during busy times if they are unable to meet the demand comfortably.

Despite the lack of staff, we got everything in good time and everything was very tasty, especially the sea bream. Thank you very much!

The ambiente is very nice. The food was average but the pasta had little taste. The service was not good. The waiter only came once in the beginning and not again to ask if we wanted another drink, a dessert or anything else. I was there twice now but will not go again.

The table was next to the door to the emergency exit/kitchen/toilet and there was a draft. Chairs were too low. We were told several times that we had to leave soon. I have rarely felt so unwanted. The pizza was good.

Very good pizza, nice ambience, but unfortunately the knives (ALL knives!) don't cut... least of all pizza. As a restaurateur, this flaw could be quickly remedied. Therefore, because something like this shouldn't happen, one point is deducted from "Service" (sorry, dear Mozzamo staff: your performance was otherwise top!).

Schade, ich bin Stammkundin bei "Mozzamo" in Nymphenburg und eigentlich immer zufrieden gewesen. Leider war der Besuch im Restaurant in Schwabing nicht erfreulich. Extrem dunkel, Tische viel zu dicht gestellt, Bänke hart und ungemütlich. Auf Anfrage, warum es so dunkel sei, erklärte der Ober, dass die Lampe an unserem Tisch defekt sei. Wir könnten aber gerne den Tisch wechseln. Wir bestellten. Das Essen war in Ordnung, aber mehr nicht. Als wir aufgegessen hatten, ließ sich der Ober nicht mehr blicken und wir mussten dann etwa 10 Minuten vor den abgegessenen Tellern warten. Es war im Lokal wenig Betrieb. Als der Kellner endlich von seiner Zigarettenpause kam und abräumte, wollten wir noch ein Dessert und einen Espresso bestellen. Es wurde zusehends noch dunkler im Lokal - die Lichter wurden abgedreht - und wir brachen erbost auf. Nie wieder!

Vorspeisen und Pizza sehr gut, Pasta hätten noch 1-2 min. gebraucht. 2h Zeitfenster sind etwas sehr knapp bemessen,wenn man zu viert Vorspeisen und Hauptgänge konsumiert. Nachtisch ist zeitlich nicht mehr möglich,wenn man nicht alles hintereinander reinstopfen möchte, schade .Ansonsten aufmerksames und sehr nettes Personal , schönes Ambiente im vorderen Bereich.

The food and especially the service were above average, and the ambience also appealed to us. Definitely coming back and recommending it (: A “better” knife for cutting the pizza would be great.

Pizza was good, smoked mozzarella was tasty. Salad portions are rather very small. A bottle of water at 7.80 euros was really exorbitantly expensive.

Wir wollten den Geburtstag von zwei Freunden feiern und wurden maßlos enttäuscht. Obwohl wir für 18 Uhr einen Tisch für elf Personen reserviert hatten, wurde uns beim Betreten direkt gesagt, dass wir spätestens um 20 Uhr wieder gehen müssen. Als Vorspeise wurde uns eine „Platte für alle“ angeboten – am Ende bekamen wir drei kleine Teller mit Mozzarella, wunderschön angerichtet, aber völlig unzureichend für zehn bis elf Personen. Die Überraschung kam mit der Rechnung: Statt einer fairen Berechnung wurden uns acht Vorspeisenteller à 15 € berechnet – also 120 € für drei kleine Teller Mozzarella! Unser Hauptgang kam erst gegen 19:30 Uhr, sodass wir unser Essen hektisch herunterschlingen mussten, bevor wir pünktlich um 20 Uhr aus dem Restaurant geworfen wurden. Kein Entgegenkommen, kein Extra für den Geburtstag – einfach nur unverschämt. Das Essen war zwar lecker, aber auch nicht besser als in anderen italienischen Restaurants. Nie wieder!

As the first guest of the evening with prior booking we were given a table next to the entrance which was terribly cold. I asked if we could be moved into the space a bit and the guy said this is the only available table. How can a restaurant with plenty of tables for two persons with no specific table booking options can have only one table for the first guests available? We said we have to go, and the staff did now seem to be sorry that guests leaving due to not being satisfied for any reason.

The Bufalina Is not worth it. It's a Margarita with a very very low quality, hard and extremely small mozzarella (and the taste was not Bufala Mozzarella at all). Overall, the pizza was good. Just take a simple Margherita.

Top class, we highly receommend Mozzamo in Schellingstr in Munich. We had a really lovely evening last night (14th Jan). The service was excellent, a really nice gentlman was our main host supported by his lady colleagues. All were super friendly, sophisticated, informed, funny and cool. The food was excellent, especially the cheeses which we enjoyed as a mixed starter. The fish was top! We enjoyed a Primitivo wine which was perfect. We will be back. WIsh the team at Mozzamo all the very best for 2025.

I gave this place three stars because, unfortunately, the food arrived cold, and the staff seemed a bit annoyed when we mentioned it. On the positive side, the ambiance is lovely, and the drinks are well-prepared. It’s a decent spot for a first date if you're more focused on the setting and drinks than the food.

The pizza dough was not really soft and fluffy, which you would expect from pizza napoletana - it was rather solid and chewy. The service was not great - we waited for a long time before anyone came to take our order, and there was also no feeling of being welcomed at all (maybe service workers were overworked and tired, but still). Overall the only truly great thing about the place is its interior - very beautiful and elegant.

Been there 3 times, service varies greatly. Sometimes very, very good, sometimes quite the opposite. The food was very bad last time, good before that. Last time the capraccio came frozen and you couldn't eat it. We had half the plate returned, but still paid in full. Ambiance is very nice inside!

Durch Zufall haben wir dieses Lokal gefunden. Wir wurden sehr nett empfangen, der Service war schnell, zuvorkommend und freundlich. Die Pizzen waren Hammer, so ein leckerer Teig, mit fluffiger, knuspriger Kruste. Es scheint, die negativen Bewertungen von früher, die hier auf TA zu finden sind, haben zu Änderungen geführt. Wir waren durchaus zufrieden. Wir fanden die Preise auch sehr angemessen, die Auswahl der Speisen auch. Die Inneneinrichtung ist gut gelungen. Ja, es mag eng sein, wenn es voll ist, aber mein Gott, es ist München, fast Innenstadt. Im Brauhaus sitzt man genauso eng aufeinander.

The tables are tastefully arranged, creating a pleasant atmosphere that is perfect for a relaxed evening for two or a small group. Culinary: The food at MOZZAMO is consistently good. Particularly noteworthy are the pizzas, which prove to be an absolute insider tip. The crispy base and the high-quality, freshly prepared ingredients make them a real treat. The pasta was also convincing, even if it fell just behind the pizzas in terms of taste with a solid rating of four out of five stars. The dishes are creatively prepared without being over the top. Service: The staff is friendly, attentive and always available without being intrusive. Price-performance: Prices are in the middle range, around €30-50 per person including drinks. The price-performance ratio is right, especially with regard to the quality of the food and the service. Arrival and parking: The restaurant is centrally located and there is on-street parking nearby. These are subject to a fee, which is common in Munich. Conclusion: MOZZAMO is a clear recommendation for lovers of Italian cuisine who value a beautiful ambience and good service. The pizzas in particular are a highlight and worth a visit alone. Overall, a successful evening – we would love to come back!

Food is good, but it's better to go to the Hirschgarten. Service there is 1a, unfortunately in Schwabing it's the opposite.

I can't understand the hype. Staff slow, never experienced such a bad bartender. Put everything else away and don't make any drinks. There are cobwebs hanging on the toilet. Food okay

It used to be one of our absolute favourites. And we really enjoyed each visit of Mozzamo until today. Even though it can be quite busy most of the times, the waiters and waitresses on the floor were highly professional, attentive and very friendly. The pizzas are great (especially their flagship Mozzamo) and the overall experience seemed to remain consistently fantastic. Also the dessert options with chocolate mousse and soufflé are a great combination. However, the restaurant might have changed staff since this time we asked if there was a table available on the upcoming day and the answer in return was just a rude „it’s a Friday what do you think?“ Well, not only manners, but also simple politeness seem to be totally foreign to some in this corner of the world. It definitely left a bitter taste. But maybe it was just a one off.

Tasty food but rude behavior and poor service. Better take another Italian! We were not told that we only had the table for a certain time. At some point someone came and said we could order something else and then we could keep the table. 5 minutes later after the drinks were there we were told we had to leave because new guests were coming. It was claimed that this was exactly what was communicated before. There were 10 of us and no one got it! It was a shame to let us order first and then throw us out.

The place is stylish, no question about it. However, I definitely won't go there again because of the food. The mixed salad as a starter was extremely bland and consisted of 90% plain leaf lettuce - mainly iceberg lettuce. The narrow range of pizzas tries to score points with an extraordinary few ingredients and a special emphasis on the mozzarella or burrata topping. Ultimately it's definitely a question of taste, but I don't need lukewarm, half-melted burrata on an otherwise bland pizza. In any case, you won't find anything like a pizza, Quattro Stagioni or pizza with seafood at Mozzamo in Munich.

The unbeatable pizzas, totally recommended. However, the service would have to improve a lot, since they suddenly moved us to a worse table after having assigned us a seat just to try to accommodate people who came behind us (there were fewer of them). In addition, they play small tricks like serving you water without asking, which they then charge at a high price. They will make a little money with these maneuvers, but the customer leaves the establishment with the feeling of having been scammed and certainly not very happy.

One shop from the chain of italian-leaning restaurants specializing on neapolitan pizza in a woodfire oven. Elegant ceiling is mixed with rather contemporary overall interior, nice little twist that gives some charm. Ravioli fatti in Casa were superb.

My Pizza personally wasn't cooked...so much so that I had digestion problems all night. Very expensive and it is absurd that water should cost almost 8 euros and a beer at 5.40. Definitely not one of the best Mozamos in Munich.

Ein sehr schickes Restaurant, es war richtig lecker und ein sehr, sehr nettes und schnelles Personal. Was uns nicht so gefiel war der Weg zur Toilette, der ging an der Küche vorbei wo immer auch das Essen raus kam.
