Salotto is a very nice Italian restaurant. We were there to end a pleasant week in Munich. The quality of the food is very mixed. While the truffle pasta is second to none, the Caesar salad consisted mainly of bitter stalks. It's a shame, because visually it was excellently presented. The drinks are also impressive in terms of taste. The service was very friendly and courteous. Now we come to the big but: When paying, the waiter asks everyone who paid directly whether an extra 10% for the service is okay, with a matter-of-factness, as if this was the minimum to be expected. I like to tip, even a generous one would have been appropriate for the service. However, the fact that the service is expected to charge 10% for the service seemed very bold to me and my table companions. Maybe not every service employee in this restaurant is so demanding, unfortunately our visit ended up with a very unpleasant “Gschmäckle”.

Before you visit this restaurant you should be aware that your waiter insists on tips! If you don't want this, it will be explained to you in detail that he now has to pay for your food or that he has "charges to the bar" that were caused by you. So don't be surprised if there could be an unpleasant discussion at the end of your evening. By the way, from experience we wouldn't wish the waiter in question a "nice evening" either, because the only thing that could come back is a "not to you!" if they didn't give a tip. In other words, if you feel like incredibly unfriendly service, “Salotto” is the right place for you. Because this restaurant would be absolutely amazing and would stand out if they had replaced one or two waiters or properly trained them in hospitality. We've never experienced anything like this before.

Food & ambience top. However, service was a complete disaster. We were happy with everything and expressly said that we would give it 5/5 stars. However, we were then expressly advised to tip and pointed out the taxes that the waiter had to pay himself. After a little discussion, I wished you a “nice evening,” to which we only received a “not to you.” It's up to you whether you want to buy friendly service by tipping or have a disrespectful discussion. Kind regards, we don't come any more.

Yesterday we were walking around Lehel and wanted to eat pizza. Normally this place is always full, but this is no reason to be arrogant with customers right? We decided anyway to order to go. The cashier was absolutely rude (zero customer orientation). My 3-year-old daughter wanted a Hawaiian Pizza but the man told us in a very sarcastic way “here is not Italia Bella". We know this place is an „authentically italian place“ and therefore no way to use pineapple in pizza but… is this how you answer to your clients and specially to a 3 year old girl? When paying, my two cards did not work and the man said again "we accept cash and obviously cards that work". Wow...they should have devices that work because my cards worked at the next location without a problem. I understand that the poor man was stressed out, but elegance and class come along with respect, and that is not there here. I have to say that the pizzas are really good, and always have been, but visiting a place is much more than just delicious food. Take care of your customers…

When I wanted to pay €44.8 I was asked again if I actually didn't want to give a tip. I then confirmed €44.8 (I'm still a student and we've just come back from vacation so unfortunately money is a bit tight) then the waiter said: 10% is usual but in a tone as if I had personally insulted him, the bill was given to me then handed out with a derogatory rating. I've never experienced anything like this!

Tables are very close together, water from the tap costs €3.90 and the waiter's tip wasn't enough when paying. When paying he asked “no tip?” to which I pointed out the tip, he said you can keep that. So anyone who doesn't tip at least €5 is not welcome here. Generally very unfriendly, but the pizza was good but expensive.

After many years I was here again on Saturday afternoon. The store was well filled outside and inside, but the service was still very, very friendly and quick. The food was really sensational, I had homemade gnocchi. There is no need to say anything else about the great ambience outside. All in all we felt really, really comfortable.

I had lunch there with a friend. We waited for a very long time until someone came to us and then ( more than half an hour) for the food. The food was ok , nothing special large dishes. The waiter was very rude, didn’t know English or pretended not to understand, so couldn’t help us with the menu and didn’t try to. In the end when we asked for the bill without asking me he took on the credit card 10% for the service when I found out about it it was after the payment so I didn’t cancel it although he didn’t deserve it.

I live in the neighborhood and often get a pizza here in the evening. All the employees are super nice and helpful, and according to my subjective “case study”, the pizza is the best in Munich. The price is reasonable for the location, the size and quality of the pizza and the taste.

The delivery of the food took a very long time. But we were there at lunchtime and all the tables outside were occupied.

The kitchen has closed so no more pasta available. The pizzas are good but not amazing.

Ordered several pizzas, all of them were partially burnt and not edible...sorry that's not possible.

I ordered a margherita to take away. Was a somewhat unpleasant experience. First of all, I was deliberately not given any change, only when I pointed this out did the gentleman who took my order give me the change. I then had to wait 45 minutes until the pizza was ready. In the meantime, when I asked how long it would take, I was told by the unfriendly waitress that you have to wait longer for good pizzas and that such long waiting times are quite common in their shop. The service that gave the unfriendly impression was always the same. The others were friendly. The pizza was also quite tasty. The store is understaffed and you can expect very, very long waiting times.

Unfortunately, today I ordered a salad with turkey strips, only small flies in the salad, not just one but several, the salad was either not washed at all or not washed properly. I then had to throw the salad away and proudly paid 16.90.

Although I'm from the countryside, I'm well aware that Munich is expensive. But the price/performance ratio wasn't right for me. I think Carpaccio di Manzo in a portion size of just under €20 is a lot. I will still go back and choose pizza. Service was very good.

Portion size of the main course of fish was very clear and too expensive. But it was tasty, even if the quantity was more for one child. Nice service.

The food is really very good (both pasta and pizza). Unfortunately not 5 stars, because 34€ for two to-go pizzas is already very steep, even for Munich. However, all dishes are recommended and the service is also top.

Never again . Despite waiting almost 55 minutes, my calzone came, tasteless. The mushroom was cold. Mozzarella was cold, I told the waiter and he didn't respond! Lots of dough and we were long past our lunch break (60 minutes).

The Salotto gains its charm from its location on Sankt-Anna-Platz, one of the most beautiful and original squares in Munich's Lehel. If you get a spot outside in the summer, you can sip a spritz or wine here close to the city center. Food is so "okay", actually too expensive for what is on offer, but here you also pay for the location. There are better pizzas: B. in grano or in La Pizza, better Austrian cuisine in Gandl opposite, much better in Louis Cuisine. My tip as a local resident: come here for a drink on a cozy summer evening.

Leckeres Essen, Pizzas, Nudeln, Salate, Nachtisch alles war Frisch und eine Superbedienung. Das alles in einer ruhigen Lage, weg von der Hauptstrasse.

Despite some negative reviews, I had good experiences with the service. The calzone was huge and I really enjoyed it. The prices are OK. If you eat here, you should expect to pay at least 30 euros.

Nice ambience and nice service. The food isn't bad, but it's completely overpriced. In my opinion, the price-performance ratio doesn't match at all. The menus are all very sticky! That's really not nice. Card payments only start at 20 euros, which is easy to achieve given the price of just under 18 euros for a pizza and 4 euros for an apple juice spritzer.

I had to transfer at Lehel Station on the way from Nymphenburg to the surfing spot, so I went there while looking for a restaurant, but other restaurants had break times, so I chose this place and it was very delicious. 3 people ordered 2 menus and we were full!

Whether it's worth it, now that Pepe Nero, 100m away, is closed, it's now €16.90 (!!!) for bruschette, €13.90 for a margharita pizza, €14.90 for the lunch pizza and a similar amount for penne all'arrabiata (with cheap parmesan from the shaker) remains to be seen :)

Leckeres Essen! Service könnte besser sein, bei einer Gruppe von 10 Leuten wurden Bestellungen vergessen. Preise etwas zu hoch, für 20eur wäre eine 5te Tortellini auf dem Teller schön gewesen Getrenntes Bezahlen bereitet dem Personal Schwierigkeiten, ist aber dennoch möglich

The service is what really shines here. They are all very nice and accomodating. Highly recommend getting a reservation. The pizza, the pasta, the wine are all great at very reasonable prices.

Spontan vorbei geschaut und es war eine sehr gute Entscheidung. Eine der leckersten Pizzas die ich in der letzten Zeit gegessen habe. Die Auswahl ist super, neben "Standard" Varianten gibt es noch ein paar extra die ich so noch nicht kannte. Die Bedienung waren schnell, freundlich und zuvorkommend ohne zu stören.

Atmosphäre, Playlist und ein mid-century-zuvorkommender Service machten den Kurzbesuch während eines verregneten Sonntagsspaziergangs zu einem kleinen Erlebnis. Guten Kuchen und gutes Bier gab's obendrein.

Sehr schönes Lokal in toller Lage im Lehel. Der Wein und Tomate Mozzarella Salat waren sehr gut und wir wurden immer wieder mit kleinen Bretzeln zum snacken ausgestattet. Wir saßen schön aber leider war unsere Bedienung nicht immer so freundlich. Preislich ist es auch eher teuer.

Na ja...wollten "nur" einen Kaffee trinken. Wir wurden sofort darauf hingewiesen, dass wir bitte nur 15- 20 Minuten bleiben mögen. Die Aussentische sind für Gäste mit Essen angedacht. So geht man nicht mit Menschen um, die im Viertel wohnen. Schade!!

The pizzas were good and didn’t have to wait a lot for food. However, one of the rudest service I’ve received so far in a restaurant and the waiter still expected me to give him tips like proper asking for it.. but for what his disgusting attitude ?

The atmosphere is good, servers are very friendly, the location is also very convenient (just a 1-2 min walk from Lehel underground station). The food looked amazing, but the taste was ok. It did not taste as good as it looked.

Mittagstisch lauwarme und kleine Lasagne mit Salat für 12,90 EUR ist natürlich ein stolzer Preis. Bedienung super freundlich.

Sehr lange aufs Essen gewartet. Geschmack und Zubereitung mittelmäßig bis nichts besonderes. Trinkgeld war der Bedienung zu wenig, wollte es nicht annehmen und wenn dann mehr. Obwohl wir im gleichen Stadtteil wohnen werden wir nie wieder dort essen. Überteuerte Preise.

Haben lange voraus einen Tisch für eine größere Gruppe reserviert . Als wir den Tisch mit Kindern (!) am R-Tag belegten, wurde uns auf einmal gesagt , dass wir den Tisch nur 1,5 Stunden haben können, da er im Anschluss wieder reserviert und vergeben ist . Dieses stellte sich als Lüge heraus, da die „angebliche“ Anschlussreservierung spontan vorbeikam (was wir im Gespräch mit den Gästen herausfanden). Fakt ist: Dem Salotto „Chef“ hat es scheinbar gestört, dass 1/3 unserer Gruppe aus Kindern bestand (= wenig Umsatz ?! Obwohl alle ein vollwertiges Gericht inkl Getränke bestellt haben!) und hat es nicht für nötig gehalten , dies persönlich uns mitzuteilen , sondern hat permanent seine Angestellten vorgeschickt. Fazit : unfreundliche und unverschämte Behandlung inkl. dreister Lüge. Nie wieder !!!!!!

War immer begeistert vom Salotto, jedoch sind die Zeiten langsam vorbei. Pizza ist immer noch echt gut aber leider mittlerweile echt teuer und der Service lässt zu wünsche übrig. Zuest mal ein warmes, schalles Bier bekommen, als ich den Mitarbeiter darauf angesprochen hatte, wusste er schon um was es geht- aber man kann es ja mal probieren. Habe dann ein neues bekommen. Saßen 3 Stunden und mussten jedes Mal aktiv fragen ob wir was zu trinken bekommen. Super unaufmerksam. Der Chef steht auch gerne draußen und erfreut sich über die volle Terrasse aber mithelfen ist auch nicht drin. Tische sind auch so eng gestellt, dass es eher ein Gruppenevent ist- Privatsphäre gibt es kaum. Naja, das gute ist, es gibt in München immer wieder neue gute und bessere Optionen.

Absolut nice people im.service. Pizzabäcker war leider krank. Zu empfehlen gebratenener Ziegenkäse. Lokal dürfte im vorigen Leben ein Pub gewesen sein

Restaurant mit Stammgastqualitäten. 😊 Authentisches und hohes Serviceverständnis vom Inhaber her, was sich auf das gesamte freundliche Team überträgt. Man merkt dass es Spaß macht hier zu arbeiten und dass Gäste wirklich herzlich willkommen sind. Vielleicht die besten Spaghetti Carbonara der Stadt! 😉 Darüber hinaus auch herrlich gelegen. I always stick to the classic buffalo mozzarella cherry tomatoes and basil pizza. It's always spot on. The servers are really friendly, go the extra mile if they see you're on a date. One of my favorite places for sure.

Unaufgeregter Italiener im Lehel. Zwei Tage hintereinander dort gegessen. Zweimal einen guten Tisch und sehr freundliches Personal. Das Essen war ein beiden Tagen sehr gut. Mein Favourite: Ziegenkäse mit gegrillter Melone.

Wir waren gestern Abendessen und fühlten uns am Anfang sehr wohl. Netter Service. Wir haben eine Pizza Salsiccia bestellt und geteilt. Uns hat beiden die Pizza nicht geschmeckt, insbesondere die Salsiccia. Diese war alt und schmeckte nicht gut. Wir haben dem Service erklärt, dass die Pizza nicht schmeckt und haben diese dann zurückgehen lassen. Ich habe auch erwähnt, dass wir nicht bereit sind die Pizza zu bezahlen. Daraufhin kam die Dame vom Service mit einer kleinen Schüssel, gefüllt mit Salsiccia, diese wäre lt. Koch einwandfrei und wir müssen die Pizza bezahlen. Der Service sagte dann noch zu uns die Pizza liegt in der Küche und wir könnten diese mitnehmen. Ich glaube kaum, dass die Pizza zuhause besser geschmeckt hätte. So sieht guter Service nicht aus. Mein erster und letzter Besuch.

Italiener am St Anna Platz in Lehel, gut erreichbar, die Ubahn Station Lehel ist nur ein paar Meter entfernt. Eine sehr nette Umgebung, ruhig und sauber. Das Restaurant wirkt etwas unnahbar, wir dachten erst, es sei geschlossen. Leider ein sehr dunkler Gastraum, dunkles Holz, stark gedimmtes Licht. Es war wenig los, wir durften uns einen Tisch aussuchen. Personal sehr korrekt, nicht aufgesetzt. Gerichte sind gut gemacht. Das Risotto mit Rote Beete Würfel, Schafskäse und Salcitta für €18.90 war sehr fein, aromatisch, frisch und nicht zu fett. Die Gnochi a la casa für ebenfalls €18.90 waren ebenfalls gut gemacht. Das Restaurant kann man daher empfehlen.

Wir waren zu viert am frühen Abend im Salotto. Das Essen war von der Vor- bis zur Nachspeise sehr lecker! Kleine Speisekarte mit abwechslungsreichem Angebot. Der Service war optimal, zuvorkommend und freundlich. Man sitzt sehr gemütlich!

Eine Bewertung ist uns leider nicht möglich da wir nicht bedient wurden. Anscheinend ist dieses Restaurant Stammgästen vorbehalten die aber offenbar sehr zuvorkommend umsorgt wurden. Schade.

Waren in der Vergangenheit mehrfachbehindert Jahr im Salottos. Der reservierte Tisch um 17:00 für 5 Personen- ganzes Lokal noch leer- war nicht geeignet um mehrere Pizzateller aufzunehmen. Wirtin hatte dafür kein Verständnis und meinte sie müsste uns nicht bewirten. Andere größere Tische waren erst ab 19:00 reserviert, bis dahin wären wir wieder weg gewesen. Schade. Uns sehen sie nicht wieder.
