Terrible service! The waiter is unfriendly and complains loudly if you order too little in front of all the irritated guests. The Prosecco was completely deflated and came in a white wine glass. Once, and certainly never again!

Expensive food that's unfortunately not worth the money. I had a salad for €25, which, in terms of quality, was comparable to a discount salad in the refrigerator. Unfortunately, the service was very unmotivated; I felt unwelcome. It's a shame; I used to enjoy this place, but it's no longer worth a visit.

My best friend and I had dinner twice here while visiting Munich and I have to say it was excellent! Panos and the team were extremely attentative and welcoming! The food was top notch, flavorful and presentation was on point!

I went for dinner with a friend. Luckily, the restaurant is open on Mondays. They have a regular menu and a weekly special. The staff also accommodates personal requests, and today I got a salad with chanterelle mushrooms, which wasn't on the menu. It tastes like a standard Italian meal, but nothing special. When the weather's nice, you can sit on a large terrace.

We came here with friends, hoping to spend a pleasant evening with good beer. Instead, we had a very unpleasant experience. They only serve one type of beer—which would have been acceptable if the service hadn't been so disrespectful. Beer mats were practically thrown at our table. The waiter treated us as if we were unwanted intruders. Any friendliness or a smile? None. Questions were answered with curt, almost dismissive answers. I work in the restaurant industry myself and know how important it is to treat guests with respect—there was no sign of that here. To top it all off, we only learned at the end that card payments are only accepted for amounts over €20. An evening I certainly wouldn't want to repeat (😢)

We were there for lunch. The service was beyond attentive. Our drinks were left on another table. It took a while for the waitress to notice. The glasses weren't clean. We were offered a spicy oil for our pizza several times, but it never came. Unfortunately, the pizza wasn't particularly tasty either, rather soggy and doughy.

Stay away from this restaurant – we encountered an incredibly aggressive and rude young waiter, a no-go. Moreover, both pizzas were unfortunately dry and bland, but far too expensive. All in all, an experience you'd never want to have.

Salotto is like a mini-vacation in Italy—but without the stress of the airport. The service reads your wishes so quickly that I'm considering just keeping quiet next time and testing whether they can still deliver everything. Shoutout to Panos and his team—you simply rock! Tip: If you ignore the daily specials, you often miss out on the most delicious surprises... and believe me, you don't want that! "Mamma mia!"

One of the best restaurants for pizza and pasta! The food is absolutely delicious, with a great variety of options to choose from. The service is outstanding, the staff are professional, attentive, and communicate very well. Our waiter, Panos, was especially excellent: knowledgeable, friendly, and regularly checked in to ensure everything was perfect. I highly recommend this restaurant. The food is good, lunch is better than dinner. Unfortunately, the service isn't as good. However, they've recently trained the staff and are finally ready. A nice place to sit in the summer.

Do not go here if you're not local. We got very little attention from wait staff, and then German-speaking guests got food well before we did. People who sat down 45 minutes after us got their food (two bowls of pasta and a pizza) before we did (just ONE simple pizza). And then they brought us the WRONG pizza after I asked politely where our food was after having been sitting for an hour and a half. We asked for our check, she said she would get it, and then we sat there for another fifteen minutes while she bussed tables (this place wasn’t even busy!) around us and ignored us. We ended up having to ask other staff for help (who didn’t help, they also ignored us and told us to just walk inside?). We walked inside and our waitress was there, who without saying a word to us gave us the check and our receipt. I’ve honestly never dealt with someone so blatantly dismissive and rude. Also if you sit outside there are wasps everywhere flying into your food. Honestly terrible. Never again.

I went there for the first time yesterday because it was pouring with rain and I was early. I had to wait half an hour and even asked if I could pay for a coffee with a card. The place was almost empty inside. Apparently, in retrospect, it wasn't okay that I was there and only ordered a coffee after hearing people insulting me in Greek. They probably thought I didn't understand them... Two stars because the coffee was good, and I still ended up sitting there for half an hour...

We only had a blackcurrant spritzer and a Crodino. We were made welcome. Unfortunately, the seating is very cramped at small tables outside. You hear everything: conversations, cigarette smoke... Service was friendly.

Girls' night, a cozy summer evening! A gorgeous setting at St. Anna Platz in Lehel. Service was very attentive and courteous! We shared two appetizers (breaded calamari, buratina with watermelon), which were both very tasty. The black truffle pizza, however, was a disgrace. It was apparently taken too early and kept warm for too long. The pizza was tasteless and hard as a board. The truffle was sparingly used. There was no trace or taste of the tomato sauce. In short, the pizza was a huge disappointment :( and that with a bill exceeding €100...

Delicious food (pizza and pasta). Service very attentive. We were there with a toddler and got our food quickly and there was free water for our son. Our stroller was outside and when it started to rain lightly, the awning was immediately extended without asking so that the stroller stayed dry. We liked it and enjoyed it.

Avoid this place at all costs! Hands down the worst food I’ve had—not just in Munich, but anywhere. The pasta was absolutely disgusting and somehow cost 25 euros. Completely overpriced for something that tasts like trash. On top of that, the customer service was terrible. The staff were rude and made it clear that a tip was expected—borderline demanded. When we didn’t tip, they treated us like garbage. This place genuinely ruined part of my trip. Don’t waste your time or money here.

The regular prices are above average, but for the posh area it is in, surprisingly fine. We very much appreciate that they automatically applied the sugnificant discount that is valid 14-17, even if we ordered a bit after 17.

The Salotto gains its charm from its location on Sankt-Anna-Platz, one of the most beautiful and original squares in Munich's Lehel. If you get a spot outside in the summer, you can sip a spritz or wine here close to the city center. Food is so "okay", actually too expensive for what is on offer, but here you also pay for the location. There are better pizzas: B. in grano or in La Pizza, better Austrian cuisine in Gandl opposite, much better in Louis Cuisine. My tip as a local resident: come here for a drink on a cozy summer evening.

Ambiente acogedor en una fría noche de diciembre, ocupado pero cálidamente recibido y sentado enseguida. Bebidas recomendadas y servidas a los 10 minutos de llegar. Un menú en inglés fue dado y especiales explicados en inglés por nuestro amable camarero. He viajado a Italia varias veces y me pareció que esta comida era auténtica y deliciosa. Tuvimos un entrante de carpaccio de salmón con granada y un aderezo de mostaza dulce del menú especial y una clásica Insulata Caprese. Seguido de Linguine con scampi, zuccini y tomate cherry. Muy disfrutado y muy recomendable.

The three of us decided to visit at short notice and therefore hadn't reserved a table. Nevertheless, they made the effort and were able to provide us with a table. The service was really very good. The pizza was also excellent. We felt very comfortable. Thanks.

Salotto is a very nice Italian restaurant. We were there to end a pleasant week in Munich. The quality of the food is very mixed. While the truffle pasta is second to none, the Caesar salad consisted mainly of bitter stalks. It's a shame, because visually it was excellently presented. The drinks are also impressive in terms of taste. The service was very friendly and courteous. Now we come to the big but: When paying, the waiter asks everyone who paid directly whether an extra 10% for the service is okay, with a matter-of-factness, as if this was the minimum to be expected. I like to tip, even a generous one would have been appropriate for the service. However, the fact that the service is expected to charge 10% for the service seemed very bold to me and my table companions. Maybe not every service employee in this restaurant is so demanding, unfortunately our visit ended up with a very unpleasant “Gschmäckle”.

Wir waren mit dem Essen, den Getränken und der Freundlichkeit des Services zufrieden. Auch die Location an sich ist schön, wir saßen im Freien und haben auch ohne Reservierung einen Platz bekommen. Großes ABER: beim Bezahlen (mit Karte) wurden wir gefragt, ob "10% Service Beitrag" ok seien. Man wird also direkt schon gezwungen, 10% Trinkgeld zu geben, wobei dieses nicht als solches betitelt wird. Das ist uns sauer aufgestoßen und führt dazu, dass wir nicht wiederkommen werden, obwohl das Lokal für uns gut zu erreichen wäre nach der Arbeit auf einen Feierabend-Absacker oder zum Essen. Wir sind immer noch in Deutschland und hier erhalten die Kellnerinnen und Kellner ein Grundgehalt, das dann durch by the way steuerfreies Trinkgeld aufgestockt werden kann. Betonung liegt auf KANN. Wenn man derart aggressiv (der Ton war es nicht, aber die Art finde ich persönlich sehr aggressiv) darauf hingewiesen wird, wie viel Trinkgeld man zu geben hat, dann ist das eine Unverschämtheit. Wir haben übrigens das Trinkgeld immer in bar zur Hand, auch wenn wir mit Karte zahlen und es sind meistens sogar mehr als 10 Prozent. Ich würde dringend empfehlen, dieses Verhalten abzustellen.

Before you visit this restaurant you should be aware that your waiter insists on tips! Yesterday we were walking around Lehel and wanted to eat pizza. Normally this place is always full, but this is no reason to be arrogant with customers right? We decided anyway to order to go. The cashier was absolutely rude (zero customer orientation). My 3-year-old daughter wanted a Hawaiian Pizza but the man told us in a very sarcastic way “here is not Italia Bella". We know this place is an „authentically italian place“ and therefore no way to use pineapple in pizza but… is this how you answer to your clients and specially to a 3 year old girl? When paying, my two cards did not work and the man said again "we accept cash and obviously cards that work". Wow...they should have devices that work because my cards worked at the next location without a problem. I understand that the poor man was stressed out, but elegance and class come along with respect, and that is not there here. I have to say that the pizzas are really good, and always have been, but visiting a place is much more than just delicious food. Take care of your customers…

When I wanted to pay €44.8 I was asked again if I actually didn't want to give a tip. I then confirmed €44.8 (I'm still a student and we've just come back from vacation so unfortunately money is a bit tight) then the waiter said: 10% is usual but in a tone as if I had personally insulted him, the bill was given to me then handed out with a derogatory rating. I've never experienced anything like this!

Tables are very close together, water from the tap costs €3.90 and the waiter's tip wasn't enough when paying. When paying he asked “no tip?” to which I pointed out the tip, he said you can keep that. So anyone who doesn't tip at least €5 is not welcome here. Generally very unfriendly, but the pizza was good but expensive.

After many years I was here again on Saturday afternoon. The store was well filled outside and inside, but the service was still very, very friendly and quick. The food was really sensational, I had homemade gnocchi. There is no need to say anything else about the great ambience outside. All in all we felt really, really comfortable.

I had lunch there with a friend. We waited for a very long time until someone came to us and then ( more than half an hour) for the food. The food was ok , nothing special large dishes. The waiter was very rude, didn’t know English or pretended not to understand, so couldn’t help us with the menu and didn’t try to. In the end when we asked for the bill without asking me he took on the credit card 10% for the service when I found out about it it was after the payment so I didn’t cancel it although he didn’t deserve it.

I live in the neighborhood and often get a pizza here in the evening. All the employees are super nice and helpful, and according to my subjective “case study”, the pizza is the best in Munich. The price is reasonable for the location, the size and quality of the pizza and the taste.

I ordered a margherita to take away. Was a somewhat unpleasant experience. First of all, I was deliberately not given any change, only when I pointed this out did the gentleman who took my order give me the change. I then had to wait 45 minutes until the pizza was ready. In the meantime, when I asked how long it would take, I was told by the unfriendly waitress that you have to wait longer for good pizzas and that such long waiting times are quite common in their shop. The service that gave the unfriendly impression was always the same. The others were friendly. The pizza was also quite tasty. The store is understaffed and you can expect very, very long waiting times.
