It's a good idea to eat here before the performances at the Isarphilharmonie. The staff is quick and very friendly.

Ideally located for a drink or a snack after the concert. Or before. Unfortunately, the service is very unfriendly, slow, and inattentive, and the prices for wines by the glass are high. Therefore, it's regrettably not recommended, as you don't feel welcome as a guest, but rather like an intruder.

Very poor organization, long wait times for ordering and food, and insufficient staff, especially during peak hours before an event. You shouldn't have to queue to pay at the register on top of that. The pizza is good.

It started with the online reservation only being confirmed after I inquired. The food would have been really good. But the service is absolutely terrible. I received the wrong food. The dessert I ordered never arrived. The payment process took forever, and then there were dishes on the bill that I hadn't eaten. When I complained, they reacted with incomprehension, let alone an apology. Besides, the place is too expensive to put myself through that again.

Gum-chewing waitresses, constant table mix-ups when serving food, and a bartender who comes out of the restroom without washing his hands... many company cafeterias have a more pleasant atmosphere. At Gaja, it seems they're more concerned with making a quick profit than with the customer.

What made you uncomfortable—the chewing gum—is also unpleasant for me and generally inappropriate in my role. However, for health reasons, I need a special type of chewing gum to strengthen and exercise my facial muscles. Treating our guests with respect and courtesy is extremely important to me.

We didn't receive an online reservation confirmation from Gaia Restaurant for two days. We also couldn't reach them by phone after more than ten attempts. We finally got through and were rudely told, "The restaurant is currently full, so please call back later." Then we couldn't reach them again. We've now reserved a table for eight elsewhere.

We went to Gaia before a concert. The service was very attentive and we had a lovely corner table. The pizza and the Caesar salad with scampi were both excellent and of very high quality. We would definitely come back.

The food is wonderful and very refined. However, the grumpy waiter ruins everything. Incredibly unfriendly, no eye contact, doesn't know the menu, and delivers incomplete meals. He slams the plates down on the table without a word and belatedly places the forgotten breadstick in the wrong guest's seat. This makes it difficult to wolf down the otherwise excellent food. When we went to pay, the promised waiter never arrived. We ended up handing our money to the friendly female server. In short: The owner doesn't have to worry about business, as hungry customers flock in before and after the performances at HP8. We saw how the waiter treated other guests as well. In a different location, the restaurant would soon be empty.

The restaurant is in a sensational location right next to the Isar Philharmonic Hall. On the booking website "Fork," it advertises vegan dishes. These consisted of a salad without dressing and a marinara pizza. Unfortunately, when asked for alternatives, the service was very irritated. What a shame. The online menu also differs significantly from the one in the restaurant.

This restaurant simply doesn't deliver what it promises. The pasta povere was not correct. It was served with a very simple pasta dish, with pesto and parmesan. The portion was too small for the price. A quick glance into the kitchen raises concerns about chain restaurants.

We waited there to eat before the concert. The service was very friendly. The food arrived quickly and was very tasty. I was able to get around easily, even with a wheelchair.

We were there for the pub quiz and had a fantastic evening with great questions and delicious drinks. We'll definitely be back!

A small but fine menu with high-quality, delicious Italian dishes. The seasonally changing salads, for example, with creamy burrata, and more unusual pizza creations like the pizza vitello are particularly recommended. We've been there twice now for the summer pub quiz. Very cool prizes, and the quizmaster was just as charming as the rest of the staff. It's just a shame that the terrace is so shady, even in summer. There are patio heaters for the evenings, though.

As a family of four, we've been to Gaia a few times now. The food was always very good, the service was sometimes better, sometimes good, sometimes a little less so. This time it was excellent, courteous, fast, and family-friendly. We were then invited to take part in the quiz, and since our children didn't have to go out the next day, we stayed for an hour. It was great, fun, nice people, a good atmosphere, and challenging questions, but great. Thank you very much, and see you next time.

Best pizza in a long time! The crust was crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and the tomato sauce was fruity and perfectly seasoned. You can tell they use fresh ingredients. Simply good, genuine food in a relaxed atmosphere – that's exactly how pizza should taste. Super friendly and helpful staff.

We ate here on the terrace on a Thursday; the salad and pizza were excellent. I don't understand the bad reviews due to poor service. The staff was always friendly and on the ball. The live music on the terrace rounded off the evening nicely. It wasn't too loud, and the selection of songs was well-balanced.

This was by far one of the worst restaurant experiences I've ever had. The food was a disgrace—tasteless and tasted like cheap, ready-made sauces from a packet. The four of us sat inside for pizza and were completely satisfied. The service was extremely attentive, the pizza was delicious, and the atmosphere was great. The only thing was that the Prosecco we had with it didn't taste good from the bottle. The Lugana, however, was even better! We'd go back anytime!

The drinks distribution during the “Night of Long Music” was poorly organized, there were too few staff and waiting times were too long

I rarely leave bad reviews, but the service at this restaurant was absolutely unacceptable. From the moment we arrived, the waiter took forever to even get to us. Then he acted like we were a burden. No greeting, no smile—just attitude. When we asked a simple question about the menu, he rolled his eyes and gave a snarky response. It only got worse from there. Our order took forever to arrive, and when it finally did, it was wrong. Instead of apologizing, the waiter blamed us for the mix-up. No check-ins, just a cold, dismissive attitude the entire time. We felt completely unwelcome. There are too many great places in town to waste time and money on a place that treats customers like this. Definitely won’t be coming back.

If you have a reservation and get a table after a concert, you will be ignored as soon as you sit down. After 20 minutes of unsuccessful attempts to order, we left. There are other restaurants in the area.

Were there for the second time yesterday, the pizza is simply unbeatable!!!! Best regards to the kitchen!!!! A dream for every hipster, but a nightmare for everyone else. As an "Italian restaurant" not even having pasta classics, but only offering some hipster variants and pizza only in the evening, is an absolute disgrace. The “service” in general has never been looked up in the dictionary. Next time, I'll order something from McDonald's to the door before the concert!

You should either update your menu or stop charging people for what is not on the menu! I ordered red wine which you had only!!!! Wrote the price for 0.1 for 6 euro something on the menu...then you charge me for double because you bring me 0.2 which is not even showing on the menu? Come on...there are better ways to do business.

Terrible experience. A waitress by the door could not speak english, so she let me sit down. After 10 minutes of waiting came another waiter with a menu. While reading the menu, he came back to ask me if I had a reservation, which I had not. He kicked me out of the nearly empty restaurant! Never again. The best part is when I met my two colegues, who came into the very same restaurant 10 minutes after me without reservation and were normally served!!!

Unfortunately, the offerings at the Gaia Bar and the snack bar in Gasteig HP 8 are not good at all and are overpriced. The sandwiches are flabby and taste like nothing, the wine is way too expensive and warm, the cappuccino with H milk. It's a shame, the Vhs participants and lecturers are there every week and would unanimously want a better, cheaper offer.

I can only rate the small café in HP8 and not the restaurant itself. But nice service, who also let me take my coffee and other goodies with me to my learning spot, even though I had their dishes etc. I also got a tray so I can carry everything as comfortably as possible. Sandwiches were great and were a positive surprise.

I actually didn't want to be influenced by the bad reviews and see for myself. Unfortunately we were obviously very unlucky with our waiter. Although the restaurant was still almost empty when we arrived at 5:40 p.m. and it only filled up after 6 p.m., we received the starter late and didn't get the pizza at all! We pointed this out to the waiter several times and asked how it was possible that all subsequent guests received the pizza before us. The answer was no apology, but rather “we would have had a starter”. After 60 minutes of waiting and the announcement that we would probably have to cancel if the food didn't arrive within the next 10 minutes, he said we should just cancel. We did that and went to the Philharmonic hungry. Unfortunately, the sandwiches offered there weren't tasty at all! It's a shame that such a poorly run restaurant has such a great atmosphere. Although the waitress who served our next table was quick and friendly. The guests at the next table left the restaurant satisfied after a complete meal followed by coffee, just as we received our starter.

The food was delicious, as on our previous visit. Unfortunately we had to wait a very long time for our food. Apparently the kitchen didn't process the receipts for pizzas in the original order, so one table was clearly late and ordered two pizzas, as we did, but was already finished eating before we got our pizzas (over 40 minutes after ordering). . Even friendly service can't save it if the organization in the kitchen isn't quite right.

Good gastro in itself, only one minus point: it's a bit outrageous to sell the finished Aperol Spritz from the bottle in the HP8, to which only a small piece of orange is added, for 8.80 euros! 5 euros would be enough too!

We were warmly welcomed and felt comfortable from the start. The food was delicious, the prices are okay for Munich standards. The TasteTwelve voucher book was accepted without any problems and the cheaper dish was free. The Grappe on the house at the end rounded off the evening nicely. Recommended!

Before an event I had a very good meal with my girlfriend.

The proximity to the HP8 is practical. However, the shift manager in service yesterday was so rude that his behavior overshadowed the entire visit and we will never visit this restaurant again. Despite a reservation, my family and three adults were seated at a table that would have been very small for two people. The group of three directly after us got the larger table we had reserved. In general, the tables are placed extremely close to each other. Later, a friendly service person accidentally misunderstood an order from our table and the wrong pizza was brought to our table. Unfortunately, when the shift manager discovered the wrong pizza at our table, he was extremely rude and unprofessional and didn't apologize for it. There were apologies from the service employee who had misunderstood the order and the correct pizza was also delivered. The outrageous behavior of the shift manager is absolutely unjustifiable and we won't be coming back, there are plenty of pleasant alternatives near the HP8.

Sorry, but I was very disappointed that the restaurant was overcrowded, extremely loud, the waiters were overwhelmed and in the end no card payment was possible. Never come back.

Excited from the first minute. Super friendly welcome, beautiful, simply elegant atmosphere. Even our dog was specially greeted by the boss 😍. Absolutely friendly staff, short waiting time and rarely had such good pizza. Come again.

The waitress was constantly chewing gum and waited 20 minutes just to order drinks despite the restaurant being almost empty. Tables full of used dishes and glasses, and incredibly noisy there.

The price is for luxurious dishes, and the portion is for a baby, but the pasta is hard.

Service disaster. A lady throws everything. But everyone is deeply relaxed and chats with guests for several minutes, even though the finished pins were left on the counter for 15 minutes and got cold. No parallelization whatsoever. We were also not allowed to get menus while we were cashing in with lots of musing. Even though it wasn't busy anymore, we didn't see our food until 70 minutes after we were seated. Taste ok. Reasonable price-performance ratio with Groupon promotion.

We had reserved for 6 p.m. and then had to wait in line for about 15 minutes. Then two ladies who had just had their cappuccino were asked to clear their table for us in front of us. Then the four of us were seated on this table for two. We did not receive extra chairs from service but from other guests. Food was actually quite good. The service neither apologized nor feigned regret. Once is enough…

The menu is very well designed. The dishes are exceptional and taste good. Despite the restaurant being full, we didn't have to wait long for our order. But the staff is obviously overwhelmed with the restaurant being full. We would have to wait an eternity for the bill, despite the many people waiting on the table outside. That was strange😬 Unfortunately it's also very loud inside and it's difficult to have a conversation there.

Unfortunately, the service here is overwhelmed when the restaurant is full before a concert in the Isarphilharmonie. You have to call the waitress over and over again to order drinks and food. If you order wine that is priced at 0.1l on the menu, 0.2l will simply be brought and charged without asking. The side salad was served 5 minutes after the main course. We were put off several times when paying and then spontaneously cashed in at two other tables on the way to us. No one asked whether the food was tasty. It's not good to sit on the benches. These are uncomfortable and far too low. The taste of the food was okay, the pizza was better than the burger. I would have expected more from the homemade bread roll.

There is still room for improvement here. Food was OK - but a bit tasteless. The young waiter tried very hard, but unfortunately his colleagues were damaged in other ways.

Despite reservations, unfriendly request to leave. We had booked a table for 2 people at 6:00 p.m. The reservation was confirmed by the restaurant for the period 6:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. At 6:45 p.m. we were very rudely asked to leave because several people were waiting for a table. I understand that you want to increase sales before the concert at HP8, but then you can't throw out guests with a reservation for 1.5 hours after 45 minutes, or you have to fundamentally rethink the reservation system.

Modern restaurant with mostly older guests who want to eat something before an event at HP8. Higher-priced Italian dishes are served. My wife and I chose a Pizza Diavola (with chili, Spianata Calabrese, Nduja) and Pizza Capricciosa. Both were well baked, had plenty of toppings and the Diavola was really spicy. The non-alcoholic Codrino spritz was pretty good too. Be careful with the open wine: the prices for 0.1 liters are shown on the menu. However, if you order a glass, you will receive 0.2 l. (The service probably doesn't always indicate this.) The "Gaia Restaurant" isn't bad, but we didn't really get excited about it.

Terrible restaurant, fully empty at 7pm and they had a total of 5 mains available (one of which is pasta with butter). Their excuse was we don’t have a pizza maker at the moment. Perhaps a good idea is to add a few extra main dishes or communicate this ahead of time! We had ordered drinks before being told anything about the kitchen situation. I visited the Gaia restaurant last night and absolutely loved it! We received a warm welcome as soon as we entered, and the service was first class throughout the evening - attentive, friendly and unobtrusive. The atmosphere is cozy and stylish at the same time, so you immediately feel at home. The selection of food and drinks is varied, and the quality of the ingredients is evident in every bite. The prices are absolutely fair for the high quality that is offered. Overall, a thoroughly successful evening. I highly recommend Gaia and will definitely be coming back soon!

Hello everyone, Now I have to stand up for Gaia... we were there yesterday before the Vicky Leandros concert, we had reserved and it was very full. We had very nice, friendly and courteous service, delicious food and the payment was quick. We were even given a drink because they thought it would have taken a little longer... but we're only talking about 5 minutes. So, all in all, a successful event and a nice experience. We'd love to come back ☺️

Big disappointment. The pizza was good, the Vitello Tonnato too, and the antipasto (cold meats) was manageably small. The Tafelspitz main course was not good. Tough as leather, it's almost a good thing that this portion was so manageably small. The waitress just shrugged that the food wasn't good. The salad was totally frozen, inedible. Since we didn't see a waiter anymore (there was no replenishment of water and the cleaning of the kitchen was noisy in progress (shortly after 2100), we got up and paid at the bar. The service was no longer visible at the table, after dessert was brought.

It can't get any worse. Let Aperol Sprizz go back 3 times because of dirt and insects in the glass. Glass was exchanged, but the drink was only spilled. The cocktail tomatoes on the pizza tasted old and fermented. With the pizza we got chili oil with a deceased wasp in a jar. The waiter reacted extremely unfriendly to our complaints. We were there with a Groupon voucher, the meal had already been paid for, otherwise we would have left before the meal.

There were two people waiting and they both had the Black Tiger prawns on a summer salad. Was served quite quickly, the three prawns were cold. The salad was more like a side salad. In my opinion the sauce was cocktail sauce from a bottle and there was way too much of it. In the salad, which obviously came directly from the cutting machine to the plate, there were several pieces of lettuce that were still tightly attached to each other and had to be pulled apart first. When I found the third stalk of lettuce, I stopped eating. The “pizza bread with garlic” only came when we asked; the waiter apparently didn’t realize that this was part of the dish. To charge €23.90 for this impudence is Munich satire. The service itself was otherwise fine. The salad with the lettuce stalks was not charged. However, I won't go to this store again.

Ordered the Black Tiger Prawns on summer salad for lunch. Sounds great! Got a side salad with shrimp. 23.90 euros 😂😂😂 Garlic bread was a few small rolls with a little oil...garlic? My wife had the linguine, which was cold. Maybe the pizza is good, good luck🤞🏻
