MOZZAMO in München

TREMENDOUS DISAPPOINTMENT. After a day of sightseeing, we decided to go to an Italian restaurant based on positive reviews, but it was a mistake. Upon entering, a disgusting smell greeted us. It took 20 minutes to bring us the menu and the waiter, with a contemptuous attitude, needed three attempts to write down the order, suspiciously drunk. We waited an hour to receive a poor quality meal, which included suspicious hairs. The facilities and treatment were equally regrettable: they did not allow my daughter in a wheelchair to enter, forcing us to leave her outside, which was fatal. Also, the waiters were rude, spit on the table and forced us to leave a large tip under threats. In short, a disgusting and deceptive place.

The morzarella bar is a culinary delight. Tip: smoked morzarella with artichoke hearts. The pizza is also excellent in my opinion, which is mainly due to the dough, which turns into an airy delicacy in the oven

Are you looking for a good Italian restaurant?? Then you've come to the right place. For me the best Italian restaurant I've ever been to. And I've actually been to a few. The ambience is great and definitely invites you to linger with another delicious wine after your meal. The welcome is super warm. And then we get straight to the service. This is capitalized here. I haven't been served as well as I have here in a long time. Friendly, warm and welcome. Everyone here had a smile on their face the whole time, even between the holidays. We will definitely come back the next time we visit Munich. The food is unbeatable in terms of taste and quality. We had a pizza and a lamb dish. As well as the smoked mozzarella for starters. Don't read reviews - go there and enjoy, otherwise you'll miss out on something, because some things can't be described, you have to experience them.

We were there for lunch and I have to say it was simply great. A great lunch menu and first-class service. It's a small restaurant with a large stone oven for pizzas. Everything was incredibly tasty and the atmosphere was great.

Beautiful and well-kept environment, the only flaw is the noise and the heat (too much). The pizza was good and the ingredients were of high quality, perhaps a little too bland for my tastes. The service is disappointing, they clearly want to be a higher quality restaurant but the service needs to be fixed. For example, don't bring the bread plates before taking the orders, in my case, in fact, having taken the pizza the waiter had to bring back the bread plates which we had touched in the meantime. In general the service was not very attentive, the waiter left the POS on the table for about ten minutes and forgot about us. When he came back to make us pay he even demanded a tip. Good but not great.

Last week I visited Mozzamo, the ambiance, the taste of the Pizza and the friendly service. Everything was on point. I simply experienced happiness !

Unfortunately our visit to this restaurant was a huge disappointment. At the reception we were greeted with an unfriendly and mushy “Hello” from the chef – not a good first impression. The selection of drinks also started disappointingly: the Hugo we ordered was far too sour, almost inedible. The main course, penne with scampi, was unfortunately also a disappointment. What was positive was the waitress who tried hard and initially promised to remove the dish from the bill. But then she came back and explained that the boss wouldn't allow it. Instead of speaking to us personally, the boss preferred to keep his distance and didn't even greet the guests in the restaurant. Overall a very unpleasant experience. Friendliness and customer service look different. Unfortunately no recommendation.

The lunch menu was extremely tasty and the wait was completely reasonable. The little gift beforehand was particularly nice: white bread with high-quality olive oil. A special highlight of the restaurant is the open stone oven, where you can watch the pizzas being freshly prepared.

Since the Mozzamo opened at Romanplatz, we have always enjoyed going there. Very good service and always friendly waiters. The food is always excellent.

One of the best Neapolitan pizzas in Munich. Light and airy, the best ingredients. You won't find a thinner, crispy pizza here, but opinions differ here. The seating could be more comfortable. Prices are now pretty high and if things continue like this we will look for something else

Als Familie waren wir beim Mozzamo am Romanplatz. Mit zwei Kleinkindern mussten wir 10 min. am Eingang warten, obwohl freie Kellner uns wahrgenommen haben, haben sie uns warten lassen (es waren auch Tische frei und nicht viel los). Wir wollten für Kinder kleines Besteck haben, es kam nach 20 min. nach dem die Kinder sattAls Familie waren wir im Mozzamo am Romanplatz. Mit zwei Kleinkindern mussten wir 10 Minuten am Eingang warten, obwohl freie Kellner uns wahrgenommen hatten. Es waren ausreichend Tische frei, und es war nicht viel los. Wir hatten um kleines Besteck für die Kinder gebeten, das erst 20 Minuten nach dem Essen eintraf, als die Kinder bereits satt waren. Auch die Messer für die Pizzen kamen später als das Essen. Die Gerichte waren kalt, was darauf hindeutet, dass man sie möglicherweise alle auf einmal servieren wollte. Die Auswahl auf der Speisekarte war begrenzt. Die Bedienung war insgesamt unfreundlich; es gab weder ein Begrüßungs- noch ein Abschiedswort. Wir werden nicht wiederkommen.

All in all very nice restaurant. Very nice staff. Boss too. Pizza 100% top! The meat was perfectly seared and very enjoyable. 100% recommended!

Multo bene. It's rare that the entire dining experience is outstanding. The Mozzamo in Nymphenburg has achieved it. The waiter with his courteous Italian manner was already a good sign (satisfied employees are usually convinced of their own product). The bruschetta are excellent. Crunchy and super fruity. Perfectly seasoned. Even before that, the bread basket with the chili oil or garlic oil was a poem. The wine (Lugana) is very gentle and full-bodied, peach-like and fruity. And the Pizza Mozzamo is a recommendation. The show pizza maker in the middle of the restaurant is also an eye-catcher. Very happy again.

Average pizza and terrible service We recently ordered two pizzas there to take away. Together they cost 28 euros. The employee who served us said he had no more change. His colleague then said that we could give the two euros as a tip. We find it strange to ask for a tip, so we waited for our change. We waited outside and none of the gentlemen told us that our pizzas were already ready and cold. In addition, it was not considered necessary to pre-cut them. The pizzas were never worth the money either. Never again!! Not recommended!

Had a very nice and tasty meal here! The pizza was very good and the bolognese gnocchi very flavorful. We also enjoyed the friendly service and the staff were very nice and helpful. Would definitely recommend this for lunch or a quick bite when visiting Nymphenburg Palace nearby.

This was my second time at Mozzamo. That's why I now give it 5 stars. The food was great, the weekly menu was very good and the best thing was the waiter (bald head, beard, tattooed) so friendly, attentive and funny. The evening was very, very nice. Thank you Mozzamo and his team

Great service, delicious food... What more could you want :)

Upon arrival we were seated at our choice of tables. After receiving our drinks a waiter attempted to move between two tables and knocked over a partially filled beer bottle. It spilled on the table, my clothing and purse. Apparently because I wasn’t wearing a dress it was okay though. He acted like it was no big deal that my pants and purse were wet. I lost about 1/3 of my beer. Upon receiving our bill they didn’t comp the beer but they did add a $5.00 tip. This might be a Munich thing but I have never had a tip added to a meal anywhere else in europe. The restaurant really ruined what would have been a nice dinner. Pizza crust was soggy and extremely thin in the middle. Ragu was good.

It is located outside the historic center but close to Nymphenburg Castle. The place is very nice and welcoming, friendly and quick service, very good pizza, nutritious but light. The revisited Bufalina I chose is tasty. Acceptable prices, in line with the average standard in Munich.

Penne Arrabiata a little too all dente...but that's a matter of taste. Our waiter was stressed and overwhelmed. I can't understand it because the restaurant wasn't overly full at lunchtime. Here the restaurant manager should rethink the organization.

Eating out. Drinks ok. Bread from Brotkorb is excellent. Service absolutely not suitable for the price. You get better service at McDonald's. Waiters don't look at you. Orders were forgotten. I didn't feel welcome. Wouldn't come here again.

Pro: Pizzas are good! There was a caterpillar sitting in my arugula, I pointed it out to the waiter, who took the napkin and crumpled it up, it was simply ignored :) We didn't ask if everything was okay or if we would like something more to drink. The prices are too high for this service.

Waiters extremely arrogant, rude and inattentive...

The food was very good, I have nothing to complain about. Prices are higher. But what surprised me is the "speed" of the service. There were slowly more waiters than guests, yet we had to wait 100 years for everything. No apology came for the long wait and ignore, nothing. On the contrary, when paying, the waiter was not shy to point out that the tip was not included. You can sit inside or outside. The toilets could definitely be maintained better.

Waren viele Kellner da die man wirklich gut von der Ferne gesehen hat. Wir waren eine Gruppe, die eigentlich zusammen essen wollten, im Grunde wurde einfach in verschiedenen Etappen gegessen. Parmesan wurde am Tisch gerieben, netter Effekt wenn man den Parmesan nicht mit den Händen angefasst hätte. Nudel mit Flusskrebs 26,—für 50g Nudel wenn’s hochkommt ziemlich interessanter Preis. Sehr gut wenn man sowieso kein Hunger hat, dafür waren die Teller schön groß. Insgesamt schlechter Service, lange Wartezeiten und für den Preis geht gar nicht, für diese Leistung.

Das Essen war wieder sehr lecker! Der Service war sehr freundlich aber diesmal etwas überfordert, vermutlich wegen des Ansturms aufgrund der Euro 2024. Im Garten ist es richtig schön - besonders weil der Verkehr draußen auf eine Spur verengt ist, bekommt man von den Autos zur Zeit praktisch nichts mit.

Der schöne Pizzaofen und die offene Küche im Gastraum sorgen für einen authentischen Flair. Das Essen hat uns auch überzeugt. Vor allem die Pizza mit qualitativ hochwertigem Belag, die hausgemachten Ravioli sowie das Vitello Tonato sind im Kopf geblieben. Einziger „Kritikpunkt“ sind die doch etwas hohen Preise v.A. bei Pizza und Pasta, war uns das Erlebnis aber insgesamt doch wert und werden wieder kommen.

There were three of us there with Bebi and we wanted to eat something - inside, as it was very windy outside and a little cooler in the evening. The waiter then said that there was no space for a stroller inside - the waiter seemed completely overwhelmed. You could have simply removed a chair from the table to place the stroller. You don't have to be Albert Einstein to quickly get past this. We were then forced to eat outside, which was very unpleasant for the bebi due to the wind. There was also a live caterpillar in one of the side salads, which we also told the waiter. At least he offered her a cappuccino. Summary: as a restaurateur you should train your staff better + we will spend our money at another Italian restaurant in the future!

The food is very tasty and the atmosphere of the place is very nice. But the service is something that could be improved quite a lot. Having 3 people walking around as staff and only 1 is allowed to take orders is quite strange. We made our order, this took 4 attempts as he was each time not paying full attention. We got our starter and after that nothing, while we did order a starter, some drinks and a main course. After 50min of us trying to get the correct waiter over (because the other 2 are for some reason not allowed to talk to people). The waiter his response was "Yeah you did not order anything else" So instead of saying oh it seems I have been mistaken and have forgotten to write this down, we got this answer. I am sorry but this is in Munich standards the worst experience.

Chic Italian restaurant with pizzas from the stone oven, homemade pasta and wonderful dolci. There are different types of mozzarella to choose from. We had pizza margherita and pasta with basil pesto and pine nuts, and for dessert panna cotta and chocolate tart. Everything was very tasty and the best pizza my husband has eaten in years. Service is friendly and attentive, the atmosphere is chic. You are welcome to take the bike or tram 18 to Romanplatz.

Nachdem ich das Mozzamo seit der Eröffnung kenne und nun nach 3 Jahre Abwesenheit wieder dort war, hat es mich völlig begeistert, wie das Team den ursprünglichen Geist und die Atmosphäre aus den Anfangstagen erhalten hat. Glückwunsch an das Team und bleibt so wie Ihr seid. Von mir eine absolute Empfehlung und ich freue mich auf schon auf den nächsten Besuch. Vielen Dank !!

Mozzamo is always a safe place if you want to taste real Italian food. It's pricy, but worth it. It's not the classical lousy and loud Italian restaurant, whereas it's more refined and enjoyable

The pizza was baked nice and light and the edge was fluffy and soft - for me the perfect pizza. The spritz was mixed really well, so it didn't stay with one person. ;-) The price was also absolutely right, so I'd be happy to come back again at any time!

Great Italian pizza in Munich! We were spontaneously hungry and wanted a pizza. We went to the restaurant based on the reviews. We didn't have a reservation, but we were able to get a spot straight away (which wasn't always the case in Munich). The service was very attentive. We had ordered pizza. The pizzas arrived within a few minutes. Pizza had a super tasty crust! Will visit the restaurant again when we are in Munich! Clear recommendation! 🍕⭐️🍕⭐️🍕

The food tasted delicious but unfortunately the service was overwhelmed due to a lack of staff (waiting time for food was 1:30 hours).

Wir haben mind. 15 Min gewartet! und da keiner der Kellner uns einen Tisch angeboten oder uns angesprochen hat (wir hatten eine Reservierung), mussten wir selber fragen. Bis wir bestellen konnten, hat es weitere 15-20 Min gedauert. Das Essen war gut, aber in meinen Augen überteuert. Ich würde nicht nochmal hingehen.

Incredibly delicious, we spontaneously got a place today given the beautiful weather. The Pino is also fine. The waiter was exactly what we wanted - attentive, of course friendly without being fake and unobtrusive - great. All in all, a successful visit to the restaurant...we would be happy to come back.

The pizza is simply to die for! And the perfect place to eat for all mozzarella lovers. The ambience is nice but it is very loud. Nevertheless, we will eat this heavenly pizza again soon. 😍

So anyone who writes a review and says that this is similar to a Neapolitan pizza has no knowledge of Italian cuisine. Apart from the edge, the Neapolitan pizza is thin, but a sheet of paper towel was thicker than this pizza. The counts fell off and so you were left with an empty piece of pizza in your hand. As a true Italian I say that pizza deserves a total failure.

Positive: Friendly, fast service. About the pizza: I had the Mozzamo Piccante with 'Nduja. The taste was really good, but: The pizza came to the table lukewarm, the thick crust had a rubbery consistency and the base was completely soggy. Admittedly, I'm more of a fan of Roman-style pizza, but Neapolitan style the crust should be soft and fluffy, not tough and rubbery. Given the relatively high price, I would have expected more.

They have excellent Margherita pizzas. I highly recommend them. You can eat here after visiting Nymphenburg Palace.
