To start with: The food was fantastic, you can't complain about that. A little expensive, but it tastes good. Now about the service. We were there primarily as an English-speaking group, which is why some things took a little longer. The waiter was visibly annoyed and generally had a very arrogant manner about him. When we ordered, I asked about the possibility of getting my tartare without egg (due to allergy). The waiter's literal answer: "I can't say that, Signora, we are very busy today". Aside from the fact that this restaurant obviously doesn't cater to allergies, I no longer felt confident with my food choices and ordered something that I didn't feel like, but at least it wouldn't kill me. The waiter was still extremely unfriendly. Since everything was on account for us, we wanted an interim invoice towards the end so that we could check the amount. His answer: “But only if there is a tip.” Um, what? Incidentally, according to the statement, there were few tips. And that was for the good food, but not for this rude, arrogant individual.

We spent a wonderful evening at Il Mulino. The pizza was very tasty, the service was super friendly and in a very good mood 🤩🤩 we would love to come back.

First and last time in this restaurant. I wanted just go with my boyfriend for delicious Italian food which I found online. Pizza dark around and his pasta over priced for the taste. I don’t recommend.

The service is now just bizarre, a caricature of hospitality, rude and even sometimes rude. In addition, the kitchen has deteriorated significantly, listless mediocrity, the food regularly comes to the table lukewarm/cold. I've been happy to ignore it for years, now that's enough, goodbye

A pleasure for decades, even after gentle renewal

What started as a random find on Google Maps turned into one of the most beautiful dinners I've ever had with my partner. Starting with the choice of seating, our table was at the edge of the terrace, there was enough space and we could chat in peace. You were also well separated from the street by a kind of hedge and were now not disturbed by cars or the like and therefore also had a visual barrier to the residents. The food was excellent, the waiting times between the starter and the main course were optimal and our waiter provided us with many different extras at the table, such as homemade chilli oil for the pizza or various spices. The service was just as good as the food, the staff is extremely friendly and quick when it comes to ordering drinks. Highly recommended if you want to eat really good Italian food. As a nice ending we were given a schnapps, all in all a very nice evening.

Very fine truffle pizza!!! Was very fine. The garden seating area is super nice and cozy. The chairs are a bit uncomfortable and if you're tall you don't have much space under the table BUT the good service and the delicious food made up for it all. The restaurant is family-run and Nonna helped out, which I thought was really nice.

Very nice atmosphere with lots of greenery and a nice cozy atmosphere. Waiters are very attentive and if things don't go smoothly, they handle it excellently. Good selection + good regularly changing weekly menu with good vegetarian selection. Very good food!

The food is simply fabulous! Never had such good pizza bread. The tagliolini with truffles are so fresh and simply outstanding.

A restaurant with Italian dishes outside of the typical pizza and pasta variety. I was here with a group of 16 and the service handled it wonderfully... many thanks to Lucia! The outdoor terrace offers a smoking and non-smoking area. The food was really very good, for 5 stars there just needs to be that certain something. For me it's a restaurant that I can only recommend!

My visit to Il Mulino restaurant was a wonderful experience. Both the salad and the meat and pizza were superbly prepared and of excellent quality. The dishes not only tasted good, but were also beautifully presented. The drinks were also very good and complemented the meal perfectly. The selection was varied and every sip was a pleasure. The service was attentive and friendly, which made the visit even more enjoyable. Overall, I can highly recommend Il Mulino and am already looking forward to my next visit.

Excellent food and good portions. Well worth the price

The pizza was tasty, the meat too, but it wasn't cooked enough and it got cold almost immediately. I assume that it could have been prepared much earlier and they just warmed it up for us instead of cooking it. I know what I'm writing about, since we've been eating meat in different places for several days now... It's a shame that such an expensive dish is "prepared" like that. We ate because we were very hungry, and there was no point in conflict without knowing the language...

Today we didn't have such a good experience at Il Milano. Because firstly there were pieces of plastic on 2 pizzas, and secondly a and the waitress typed twice as many bottles of water. Lasagna was burnt, but my spaghetti carbonara tasted good. After the complaint, the boss refunded us the cost of the pizzas with plastic and water.

Extrem unfreundliches und unmotiviertes Personal. Zu einer Bestellung wird man gedrängt. Kann nicht schnell genug gehen. Die Rechnung wird kommentarlos auf den Tisch gelegt. Keine Frage ob zusammen oder getrennt, mit Karte oder in bar. Nachdem wir den Betrag in bar auf den Tisch gelegt haben, wurde er, auch wieder kommentarlos, eingesammelt. Absolut unmöglich. Das war jetzt endgültig das letzte Mal, das wir dort gegessen haben.

I often go to this restaurant and have always been satisfied, but this time it was really the height of impertinence! We were a group of eight people who of course had reservations, as I always do. We got a place outside in the winter garden, but unfortunately the TV (European Football Championship) was above our head and was turned up so loud that we couldn't have a conversation. Turning it down wasn't an option for the boss! When asked whether the two tables next to us could be made available to us, he said: No, they would be reserved! It then turned out that that wasn't true. We were there for almost two hours and no one sat at those tables. It's really a shame that you treat your guests like that.

I’m not sure why this restaurant has such high reviews. The atmosphere and service was good. The prices for pasta and pizza are affordable, if you don’t select off the daily menu. But, the food is very basic. We had a pizza and pasta dish and weren’t very impressed. The prosecco choice was also very meh. The pasta was not made in house and the sauce was just alright. They are playing the EM games but without sound.

I visited this place after seeing the ratings and reviews on Google Maps, and I am very satisfied. Even though it was busy, the staff was friendly and cheerful. I ordered octopus salad, pizza, pasta, coffee, and mint tea. Everything was delicious, The price was 56.5 euros.

Ich habe eine besonders feine Lasagne gegessen und fand es prima, dass die Lasagne nicht in einer heißen Auflaufform an den Tisch gebracht wurde, sondern auf einem normalen Teller. Dadurch war sie nicht so lange viel zu heiß, man konnte sie besonders genießen! Seeehr lecker, gerne wieder!

Very tasty Italian, very friendly staff

We were there with a larger group, the seating there is quite comfortable, the atmosphere is pleasant. Tables are stylishly set, cloth napkins, it looks quite elegant. What was unfortunately a disaster was the spaghetti vongole. As soon as they were served, they smelled so strongly of spoiled fish that the people sitting next to me noticed it immediately and stopped me from eating them. It is extremely worrying when a seafood dish leaves the kitchen in this condition and then the service doesn't notice. On a positive note, I would like to point out that it was taken away immediately after I signaled that the mussels were spoiled. But there was no room for discussion when it came to the smell of the food. I got another dish, ravioli, which was okay, very heavily salted but edible. Conclusion: Better not anymore - unfortunately I can't trust a kitchen that lets something like that go out. It's a shame, because the restaurant itself seems nice.

Four of us had dinner a week ago and we were all very excited. Food delicious, wine perfect (good SVC recommendation), SVC good. You could even sit outside on the terrace and relax. We would definitely like to come back.

Patrone, a Jean Gabin lookalike, is quite stubborn towards his employees and guests, but if you insist on a different table he agrees the third/fourth time and you are sure of his respect and heart.✓✓Super nice waiter "Roberto" from Sicily, looks after you then makes you feel embarrassed and makes everything good again✓✓ The room on the left of the entrance = quieter than the larger room on the right and therefore louder in terms of background noise. We recommend the five-course menu, created in collaboration with the Munich daily newspaper tz, which is now €49 instead of €69 and is truly excellent. In any case, the campaign can compete with the "Eß-klasse" initiated by the Münchner Abendzeitung, except that the wines are included in the menu and can be purchased privately via www.rindchen.de. The kitchen team can really do something and has de facto earned a sixth star. The sauces and seasoning are literally at star level. From Monday to Friday there is even a lunch menu apart from Saturdays and Sundays✓✓ Drinks in the normal price level, wines quite good and selected. Local has a covered garden, weather permitting. Parking is a bit difficult because it is partly a licensed parking area, but you can always find something on Tengtstrasse, to the left and right of the children's playground and cemetery, even after the third/fourth circle.

The two of us had dinner at Il Mulino for our birthday and once again really enjoyed it. The service was unobtrusive, but always there. The individual courses arrived without waiting and at the same time for both, which not all restaurants manage to do. The quality and freshness of the food was excellent. We had tomato soup and lukewarm octopus salad as a starter, sole and monkfish as the main course and the chocolate soufflé as dessert. We really enjoyed the evening and would love to come back.

One of the best Italians in Munich.

My first and last experience. I found a pizza online on the homepage (takeaway menu) for €8.10 and ordered it over the phone. When we pick it up, we're disillusioned: the pizza is initially much smaller than average. But what was really bold was that the unfriendly employee told me when I was paying that the pizza would now cost €10.50. So a whopping €2.40 more. When I mentioned that it was different online, I got an annoyed look and he entered the amount into the EC device as a matter of course. No apology, no accommodation. But I brazenly cashed in and gave me a flyer with current prices. For me, this borders on fraud, also because the restaurant on the other hand is able to upload a new weekly menu every week. That was the first and last time. That's not how you run a business.

We had ordered lunch to pick up from the office. 2 pizzas, 1x Mulino salad and 1x ravioli spinach-ricotta from the weekly menu. Everything tasted great. Unfortunately, the prices for the take-away card on the website were not up to date, even though I asked specifically on the phone... it cost a total of around €52 instead of €46. And the portions were pretty small except for the salad. Except for those two things, we were really very satisfied. -was finished on time -friendly service -nice atmosphere (even if only noticed briefly when picking up) -well packed We will definitely order again

Very tasty Italian food. Good fast service. Nice clean spaces. It is worth to step a bit off the beaten path and visit this place. It appears most of the staff are authentic Italians and they greet you in Italian! Lovely experience, fair prices, Espresso Italiano Vero! Highly recommended!

An excellent Italian restaurant in Munich. Abundant and delicious dishes, friendly staff even if not very organised. I tried the truffle tagliatelle, delicious and very tasty, as well as the carbonara, the tagliatelle with potatoes, the pizza and much more. A binge like few others, but of excellent quality. Prices a little high!

Sehr leckeres Essen und schönes Ambiente. Teilweise leider lange Wartezeiten; bis man bezahlen oder weitere Bestellungen aufgeben kann.

Wir haben dort Tagliatelle Emiliana und Kalbsmedallions bestellt. Die Pasta schmeckt gut, jedoch schmecken die Medallions überhaupt nicht! Nicht zu empfehlen. Das Essen wurde jedoch zügig geliefert.

Ein tolles italienisches Restaurant mit einem super Team, das sehr aufmerksam auf die Wünsche ihrer Gäste eingeht.

Die Kellnerin war super höflich aber etwas unkonzentriert und des essen war auch sehr lecker die Lamm Koteletts waren super knusprig und von innen saftig, Brot war etwas trocken. Aber super Lokal

Wir waren früh am Abend dort, dass Essen ist gut, preislich gehoben, der Service flott und sehr freundlich. Die Tische stehen recht eng, so dass es recht laut wird, wenn sich das Lokal füllt.

Die Italienische Küche bietet mehr als Pizza und Pasta, das wird hier zelebriert. Ich freue mich immer wieder dort zu essen!

Leckere Pizzen von freundlichem Personal serviert sind immer ein Besuch wert.

Wir hatten eine Reservierung für Samstag 19 Uhr. Als wir dort ankamen, war das Restaurant rappelvoll und schon mehrere Gruppen, die ebenfalls reserviert hatten, warteten auf einen Tisch. Nachdem der Gastraum schon recht voll war, wurden wir von der mürrischen Wirtin ohne eines Wortes der Entschuldigung in den kalten und zugigen Vorraum verbannt mit dem Hinweis "das dauert noch". Wir sind nach kurzem Warten dann wieder gegangen. Wozu reserviere ich denn eine Woche im Voraus?

Sehr leckeres authentisches Italienisches Essen. Ambiente ist auch schön, aber nichts besonderes. Habe hier auch schon Fußballer aus der Nationalelf gesehen. Preise sind für die Art des Restaurants noch recht günstig. Ich empfehle Penne Siciliana 🤤

Das Restaurant wurde uns von einem ehemaligen Kellner empfohlen. Also auf in die U-Bahn und... das kann man wirklich sehr gut machen. Die Leber verdient besondere Erwähnung. Einzige Einschränkung: Es kann hier sehr laut werden.

Mein Gesamteindruck beim Durchlesen der Rezensionen ist immer stärker der, dass ich, wenn ich mal wieder in München sein werde, wohl doch nicht mehr im "Il Mulino" einkehren werde, das ich übrigens vor dem Totalumbau wesentlich schöner fand! Ich muss wohl hinnehmen, dass das Lokal, so wie ich es kannte und mochte, eben "eine vergangene Kindheitserinnerung" ist. Denn der Mulino war von ca 1975 bis 1997, als er unter der Führung von Giovanni Carraro aufmachte und von Jahr zu Jahr besser und schöner wurde, unser Stammlokal. Erstens weil unser Opa uns immer einlud, zweitens weil es irre lecker war und bezahlbar und eine Riesenauswahl an (Fleisch)gerichten gab. Die Karte von heute ist kein Vergleich zu damals, da sind mindestens 2/3 aller Sachen rausgeflogen! Da der Wirt und seine Familie Nachbarn meiner bis zu ihrem Tode in der Tengstraße 3 lebenden Großeltern war, war es immer ein großes Hallo und wir waren gern gesehen. Schade, dass heute anscheinend, nachdem Giovanni Carraro 2007 plötzlich starb, nur noch der Name "Il Mulino" geblieben ist...

Italienisches Standardrestaurant. Voll. Pizza nichts besonderes. Der Primitivo ziemlich teuer aber in Ordnung, auch nichts besonderes.

Seit ich ein Kind bin gibt es das Il Molino in der Maxvorstadt Aber wir gehen nicht deshlb regelmäßig dort hin, sondern weil das Essen beständig gut, der Service immer sehr freundlich und aufmerksam ist. Die Preise sind auf jeden fall angemessen.

Hatten für 6 reserviert, kamen zu fünft, dafür vom Kellner Todesblick kassiert. Essen war bei allen leider echt nicht gut, das kriegt mein Italiener-Imbiss um die Ecke leckerer hin. Muss nicht nochmal sein.
