Everything was acceptable and ok, although we expected a bit more quality service and food. The worst part of our evening is that we did not get real truffles. We ordered the carpaccio di manzo with truffles but the dish had no whatsoever taste of truffles. Quite disappointing since it was quite expensive. Pizza was good, but nothing extraordinary.

Edit: I went there again today (8/31/24) after a break to get pizza and it was definitely the best pizza I've ever eaten in Munich. Apparently the current pizza maker is even better than his predecessor, who also made good pizzas. Big compliment and thank you for this culinary delight! A nice restaurant with an authentic flair, good food and reasonable prices. First of all, we were there as a larger group and felt like we were on vacation in Italy in the best possible sense. The only small point of criticism was that we were served later than the neighboring tables, even though they had arrived after us. On another evening we ordered pizzas to pick up and were pleased with the quality as well as the speed and the good price/performance ratio. It's very nice to have such a nice restaurant in the neighborhood! :-)

The only thing, that the cashier made an issue to pay with card after midnight, and they didn’t inform us before.

We didn't like it... the atmosphere of the place, the quality of the pizzas, the spritzes were good but nothing more (it lacked prosecco and sparkling). In short, the pizza does the job but we don't come away satisfied.

I come from Ibiza to visit Munich for a couple of days after a walk on the English Garden, at a certain point I find myself in front of a restaurant in a beautiful area of ​​Munich, a gentleman called Franco invites me to a Prosecco and so I take when it came time to stop for lunch he was practically the only one looking at me and managed to understand my tastes! I am not sure how this place has such a high Google review score. Let's start with the food: the pizza has to be in the top three worst ones I have had... And as an Italian who spent half of her life living outside of Italy, I have had my fair share of bad pizza. But the other members of the top three at least had the excuse of being pizzas I consumed 20 years ago much further from Italy. Using industrial fake cheese when it's so easy and relatively inexpensive to get mozzarella is inexcusable. Now with the service. The place was seriously understaffed, in spite of being less than half full. What were they thinking? The waiters tried to be friendly, so two stars for that... But our party of three still had to wait almost an hour for our food, and when it got there one of the pizzas was the wrong one, so another 10 min or so until my husband could eat. No bread, bread sticks or anything of that kind. As for the atmosphere... Our table cloth had visible dirt on it (crumbs and ash and a few unidentified black marks). The TV was playing a YouTube playlist of the cheesiest Italian pop you can imagine. Enough said. In Italian we call an open secret a "pulcinella secret". The open secret about this place is that it's a really bad restaurant.

Unfortunately the service was very bad. At first no one took our order for about 20 minutes. This only happened upon request. We waited about an hour and a half for ours and had to order everything several times. In this respect, there was absolutely no friendliness, but you almost had the impression that you were being disturbed with your order. There was no normal bread with the carpaccio, but when we ordered bread we were first told that there was no bread at all and then after about 20 minutes when we had finished the starter we were brought a Pizza Pane Rosso, even though we had already had one before. The pizza dough is pre-made and comes ready-made from plastic bags. With the exception of the pizza pane, which was OK, the food was inedible. The pasta was cooked completely without salt. The filled pasta with ricotta and spinach (price around 16)) was pre-made from the supermarket and not homemade or at least of a better quality that you would expect at this price. They were completely tasteless. We know Italy and Italian food very well and are very surprised at the good reviews. The restaurant is absolutely not recommended and is a rip-off for the guests. This was also confirmed to us by a waiter who was here to help out for a few days. He confirmed that the staff is ashamed of the food. There was no apology or response from the owners to our complaint. Unfortunately everything is very unsympathetic!

AWFUL SERVICE The waiter forgot our order twice and we have to wait for one hour and twenty minutes in order to get our food delivered to our table. AND THEY DID NOT EVEN SAY SORRY!! Asked us twice about our order, first in 30' and then after one hour, and did not received even an apology. That's got us on our nerves. I'll never come back. Never. The food isnt very good so our time was wasted. Diavola with salame picante and peperoncino, but none of them were spicy!! Everything senseless and not worth it. I have been to this restaurant several times in the past and had good experience, but today we had the worst experience in a restaurant - Because of the Waitress! It is a young lady who can be identified with big full lips… she really ruined our night with her HORRIBLE attitude. - we went inside where 90% of the tables were free , we were five including a kid she gave us a small four person table next to the toilet. I asked to change to another table she agreed with reluctance and said okay but you need to bring over the cutlery by yourself , which we did. - we ordered three big drinks to start. She asked: “but you guys are four”. I said okay another big bottle of water. - we waited 45min until food finally came. We finished eating and needed to leave as soon as we could as it’s already late for the kid, so I went to tell her can we pay please? She got offended and said: “how can I know you want to pay ? You guys are still eating. “ as if it was my mistake to go tell her we need to pay and I should have waited on the table until she came… I still do not understand why she reacted that way by a simple request. - when she came to give our bill she appeared still angry said “how can I know you guys done eating? Look there is still food here” I said we need to leave now as we waited long time for food and the kid is tired we need to go home. She said: “but it is normal in a restaurant to wait for the food! “. I was Shocked to hear that. - I didn’t give her any tips which made her annoyed and kept challenging me as if I did wrong. I told her I’m not happy with the service today and I need to leave now and do not want to comment more. But she didn’t let things go and kept on arguing, talking out loud while we were leaving the restaurant. I do believe all the other waiters and staff working there know how she is and I could tell from their faces they were not surprised by her getting an unhappy customer. The food is alright but it’s such a SHAME we were treated this way by this waitress! Now I look into all the low star reviews here and I start to see BAD SERVICE is a common one, especially in last couple months, wonder if it’s due to the same waitress… I really recommend the owner to think twice keeping that lady with customer facing job! Her attitude is unacceptable!

Quick and somewhat easy. Hard to go outside the menu though if you are not a native German or Italian it felt like. We got the salad after the main course was served and they broke glass into it. Not a joke. I have no idea how at first takes 25min to make a pasta bolognese and then only 5min. Regardless, a bit of a fawlty towers without the malice. Asked if we wanted tiramisu after I had asked for the bill noting that we were leaving. Piece of trivia, pizza man was spinning his paddle on the floor, pizza side down. Other reviews rate it high and overall, knocking of a star for service for the mishaps. Overall, had a way worse here in Munich.

The food was amazing in both taste and presentation.

We were there yesterday and ate and enjoyed the tasting menu. Of course with a very good red house wine. We were greeted so warmly by the boss and served so lovingly by everyone. Uniquely great and we will definitely come back.

We ate here today with our two boys (6 & 11) and felt completely at home. Hospitality is very important here, an ambience like being on holiday in Italy, very warm, always courteous "waiters", and actually many rather genuine hosts. We felt very welcome, especially the children, the Parma is freshly sliced, you can watch the pizza maker, everything is 100% clean, including the wine glasses, and that. Most important: the food was excellent. Totally recommended!

Everything in itself would be excellent, but unfortunately the lasagna was definitely from the day before, as it was very, very dry and not at all fresh. The taste was certainly delicious on the day it was prepared, but unfortunately it was disappointing... service was excellent.

We were at Pulcinella for the second time today. The service was very stressful but still polite. There wasn't everything on the menu because the kitchen couldn't keep up. The pizzas were burning in the pizza oven and the smell of burning was so strong that our eyes and other guests' eyes really hurt and watered. The pizza was average and my tuna was good quality but fried to death (more like shoe sole). My request for a side dish didn't work out either, but the service visibly struggled with the overwhelming demands but always remained attentive and polite. In the end, the bill for the two of us was well over 100 euros and no card payment was allowed without prior notice. Not everyone has that much cash with them, how else would they have solved it? Despite the mediocre cuisine, it's worth remembering that the service always remained polite, even under stress. Unfortunately, service is only part of a good restaurant experience. At the end there was an apology, but even the coffee was charged. Well, rather high prices for mediocre food and polite service and an unacceptable ambience (stress and smoke everywhere), then probably not again. A pity!

The rooms are nice, even if it is loud. The bread was very tasty. The service was friendly and relatively quick. The soup was completely tasteless, the apple spritzer was cheap, the green salad was bland, the noodles were tolerable. The espresso was good. We probably won't come back.

Ordered spaghetti, salad and pizza. Spaghetti arrived after about 40 minutes, followed by the wrong salad. The spoon only came with the spaghetti when asked. Salad came after almost an hour and the pizza was completely missing. After we complained about the pizza, it came - but cold. No excuse - nothing! It's a shame, I used to enjoy being there. No more recommendation.

Unfortunately we are very disappointed with our stay at this restaurant today. We ordered the following: Pasta with prawns Pizza with Parma ham and rocket Tomato salad We had to wait 45 minutes for the food. Unfortunately only one dish came (the pasta). After it became clear that the pizza wouldn't come for a while, my daughter started eating. After another 15 minutes, the tomato salad arrived, which we had originally ordered as a starter. After my daughter finished eating her pasta, we finally had the opportunity to inquire about the whereabouts of the pizza, which still hadn't arrived at that point. We emphasized that it was a shame because we would have liked to eat the meal together and we had already been waiting an hour for the meal. There was no apology from the waiter. In our opinion, he had forgotten the court. He then asked us whether we wanted to take the pizza with us or eat here. After over an hour we have now received the pizza COLD. Rarely have I seen such loveless and poor service. Neither an apology nor any attempt at redress from the restaurant. Unfortunately extremely disappointed and not recommended.

Repeated very well. Price/performance absolutely appropriate. Standard and weekly menu has a good selection. It's nice to sit by the large windows inside. So far it's always been well attended when we've been there, so reservations are recommended, but as is usual in Italy, it sometimes worked without it.

The food was very tasty and there was a large selection of pizzas as well as other food. It was very quick and the staff was very friendly. You can also take pizzas with you.

We were here for the first time since the reopening and unfortunately a bit disappointed. Atmosphere nice like a simple Italian pub. Extremely hard-working, even though there were very few guests there. For the main course there was new cutlery that was so dirty, but the waiter didn't notice it. Salad with artichokes was good, but the fish was bland and still raw in the middle. We probably won't come back for a while.

Went there for lunch for the first time since it reopened. Former regulars... The dishes were all very tasty 😋 - the baby squid in the starter salad was nicely grilled, the pizza Diavola had a pleasant spiciness, the pizza base was nice and thin and crispy, the spaghetti aglio was plentiful, with finely roasted garlic and cherry tomatoes. Parmesan, salt, pepper and vinegar/oil... Everything perfect! However, we find the prices (10.50 -12.90 €) for a glass of wine (0.25) della Casa to be high... The waiter was very reserved, despite there being fewer guests. The previously warm Italian hospitality was somewhat lacking - a shame... Maybe next time it will be different? We would definitely like to come back!! Maybe we'll get to know the friendly Davide, with whom I was in contact by phone 🤗😁!

Wir wurden weder begrüßt noch wurde freundlich mit uns umgegangen. Kinderstuhl wurde angeboten und mit Ja dankend angenommen, kam aber nie. 2 Pizzen bestellen, eine mit Oliven, dann kamen die Pizzen aber die Oliven waren auf der falschen drauf. Darauf hin werden die teller wieder mitgenommen (ohne einer Entschuldigung) und zurückgebracht (immer noch kein Sorry); Oliven wurden einfach von einer zur anderen transferiert! Nachdem ich an die Theke bin und die 3 Herrschaften vor mir informiert habe, dass in der Herrentoilette keine Seife mehr ist, haben sie sich einfach gegenseitig angeschaut und italienisch gesprochen. Eine Stunde später war jemand anders vom Tisch im WC und es gab immer noch keine, was ich unserem Kellner mitgeteilt habe. Darauf hin fragte er mich in einem unmöglichen Ton, was er denn jetzt tun soll? Es müsste eine Firma kommen um die Seife aufzufüllen. Also gab es in dem Lokal, den ganzen Abend, keine Seife! Ich möchte gar nicht drüber nachdenken, ob die gleiche Firma für die Seife in der Küche zuständig ist. Dann kam es zur Rechnung… wir haben getrennt bezahlt, der Kellner hat alles ausgerechnet (hat uns die Rechnung auch nicht geben wollen). Danach haben wir uns zum Ausgang gemacht, da kommt der Kellner wieder in einem Ton angerannt und sagt da geht sich was nicht aus, was hätten wir denn jetzt bezahlt? Dabei hatte er das alles ausgerechnet und hatte die Belege noch in der Hand. Die Pizza war okay, der Schokoladenmousse war sehr gut (selbstgemacht). Aber dafür lohnt sich der Besuch nicht. Schade.

Posto carino, proprietari e personale italiano. Ci siamo fermati a pranzo, non avevamo prenotato ma abbiamo comunque trovato posto. Abbiamo ordinato i piatti del giorno: insalata di fagioli e cipolla + pizza al crudo di Parma (prezzo per entrambi 11,50 euro) e ravioli al radicchio e gorgonzola + insalata di fagioli (sempre 11, 50). Sia la pizza che i ravioli veramente ottimi! Prezzi onesti, consigliato

Normally I don't eat early but if you arrive early for dinner this Italian restaurant isn't busy. After 20.00 it's normally very popular. The food is good Italian style with the families personal touch.

We had an easy going dinner here on a Sunday night. Just wanted a pizza and some salad and that's what we got. Food was good, if nothing special and waitstaff was efficient and moderately friendly. Restaurant has a slightly less formal vibe compared to the Italian restaurant it used to be. Menu is slightly paired down. But honestly, not radically different. So if you liked the old Taverna del Sol, you will like this place. If you didn't....well.

Después de un largo día turisteando Múnich. Mi amiga y yo estábamos hambrientas. No encontrábamos nada cerca de nuestro hotel que estuviese abierto. Recordé este lugar y estuvo delicioso. Pedimos Lasagna, una ensalada mixta y Pizza. Una copa de vino tinto y una soda. Todos los ingredientes son frescos y la masa de la pizza delgada y crujiente en las orillas. Una delicia. La clientela es en su mayoría italianos. Y aunque el mesero no hablaba ni español ni inglés nos dimos a entender. Jajaja. Todo iba muy bien hasta que le comentamos que nos separara las cuentas. Eso si no le pareció. Así que para relajar la situación decidimos pagar junto. Pienso le debimos haber dicho desde un principio. Definitivamente regresaría. Recomendado. En general es buena idea ya saber que vas a pedir y no tardar mucho en la decisión.

In visita a Monaco per l'Oktoberfest siamo tornati al Ristorante Pulcinella e confermiamo le belle e buone impressioni avute nella nostra precedente occasione di alcuni mesi fa. Ottimo locale, cucina al TOP e pizza da vera Napoli. Sicuramente da consigliare.

Ein auf und ab. Sehr gemütliches und schönes Lokal. Das Essen ist lecker, aber die Pizza war schon etwas fade leider. Der Service...huch am anfang fanden wir die Laune des älteren Herrn schon orgendwie witzig, mit der Zeit bekam man aber schon fast Angs ihn um Parmesan oder Oel zu fragen. Denke der hat schon gute 40 Jahre Service auf dem Buckel, und die Strahlt er auch aus.Negativ. Untereinander total hecktisch und laut.
