Best Italian food in an upscale atmosphere. I had a mixed fish platter: great! Pizza (takeaway): doesn't get any better than this. Ten points.

Firstly the atmosphere is very beautiful and suitable to have a conversation with the lightly played music in the background. I loved the bread, it was really great. We enjoyed our pizzas as well, all the foods were fresh and tasty

Incredibly outrageous! We wanted to reserve a table for two people, the gentleman on the phone was super rude because he didn't have anything free at the time we wanted (7 p.m.), his answer: what nonsense, he only has 6 or 8 p.m., and he mentioned that right from the start to: Minimum consumption would be 100€, people who come and only drink one drink and eat a pizza do not make any sales. He couldn't even pay his cleaning lady out of that 😂 I don't understand how you can take that out of it when you just want to request a table for 2 people and he doesn't know what you want to eat 😂 I haven't experienced such crap in a long time. You often read here that I have no idea how you can run a business with such behavior.

We were in the restaurant with 3 people at lunchtime today. Very nice romantic atmosphere, very good food, for which we didn't have to wait long, best service from the boss himself, who always made us laugh with his funny sayings. We'll definitely be back!

Wonderful culinary experience! The ingredients are very fresh and the chef prepares the plates with a lot of passion! Definitely recommend to everyone! Linguine vongole was fabulous with fresh herbs and garlic also the tiramisu is a must. ———— It was a super dining experience. The chef really pays attention to every plate. Could not recommend it LESS. NEVER have I been treated so poorly at any establishment. The owner made it his mission to yell at us and humiliate us. Why? Because we asked to order our food (at a restaurant - shocker). We had been at our table for 45 minutes and nobody came to take our order. Tables came and went, and they were serving people that arrived after us... I politely signed at the waitress when she came around. She said "ya" but never came. So I politely signed at the next waiter that came around, who just turned out to be the incredibly rude and arrogant owner. The owner yelled at me saying "We're just 2 serving, you can't expect to order whenever you want." I will come back when I can." We had been at the restaurant for nearly 1 whole HOUR at that point, we weren't rushing anyone. I also understand it's demanding, and I would never be rude to anyone who's serving me, so I just said ok. The owner came back after literally 2 seconds and yelled again, "If you're in such a rush, what do you want?". As soon as we put in our order he sarcastically yells again, "Since you can't wait, we will close the kitchen just for you and you'll have it." At that point we just wanted to leave, but there didn't seem to be any going back. Why have a restaurant if this is how you'll treat your customers when they're just trying to order food? I will add - as I've seen that this seems to be his argument when replying to Google Reviews — we were not being loud, dressed "inappropriately", or behaving in any way that is inappropriate for a restaurant. As small as it may sound, we always made it a point to say "please" and "thank you," even after being literally yelled at multiple times. He just kept going. I ordered a glass of Pinot Grigio but was brought a karafe of Chardonnay. I politely told the waiter (not the owner) that I had only ordered a glass of Pinot Grigio. He seemed sweet, apologized and said he would replace it. However, it was the owner who brought me the glass of wine afterwards, and made it a point to scream at me again. He brought the food, and yelled specifically at me (since I was the one who politely signaled that we were ready to order). I can't even remember what he said at that point, but I had enough and literally had to tell him to stop. I am not exaggerating when I say I was on the verge of tears. The carbonara was ok. I've had better, and frankly my friends and I had completely lost our appetite by that point. He came back to ask how it was, in his sarcastic tone again. Since it had escalated so much (or better, since he escalated it so much), my friend explained to him in German that we didn't rush him. That by the time he came to take our order we had been at our table for 50 minutes, and all we wanted was to eat some nice food. He yells at us once again, with a smile on his face, "Do you want an apology from me. Is that what you want? Ok, I'm sorry." It was a shame because we were really excited to try the restaurant after looking at positive reviews, and the place was in fact beautiful; but the service absolutely ruined it. Didn't want to literally write an essay of a review on a Sunday morning, but here we are. If you managed to read all of this, I do not recommend this place at all, unless you're into being humiliated and treated like garbage.

Last week (3/09) I went to Germany to see my wife, who had to go do a project there. The one who was visiting, I planned to go to this place to surprise her since we were going to Munich but she is a great lover of Italian food. The place looks pretty good and matches the theme of the place, but its workers are something totally different. They took a long time to provide services, they looked at you strange. My wife dropped her knife on the floor and it took 15 minutes to give her a new one. We lost a salad and a couple of pizzas and the food was not of the best quality, some looked like they had been open since the previous week, the dough was chewy and not to mention the vegetables in both dishes we ordered. I paid a bill of more than €80 to order three dishes and a bottle of wine that we almost didn't finish because of its “typical Italian flavor” as they told us there. In short, I ran out of money and disappointed my wife. Thank you so much.

I wish I could give more stars because the food was good and the atmosphere was nice, but the way the owner treated us was absolutely unacceptable. My friends and I completely lost our appetite after his rude behavior. It’s unfortunate, but I feel obligated to leave a 1 star review to be helpful to potential foodies considering this place. A great Italian restaurant in Munich! The food was delicious, and the staff was friendly and professional. We were a group of five, and every dish was excellent. The wine was superb, and the dessert was delightful. The place has a cozy decor, and parking nearby was easy. If I visit Munich again, I’d definitely return.

A disrespectful owner, I have never been treated so badly in a restaurant. Contemptuous and racist treatment. The rating of this restaurant is completely overrated. Never recommended. Bad experience, the owner is disrespectful

We managed to get our order taken after 50 minutes and the owner came to speak to us in a disrespectful manner telling us that we were not the only ones in the restaurant. Then he made derogatory comments about us to the other tables saying that we were in a hurry. I have never received such bad attention. A shame since the restaurant is nice.

Small and fine shop. The owners are very friendly, attentive and hospitable. Although it was busy in the evening, we didn't have to wait long for our drinks and food. The food is deliciously presented and tastes delicious.

Amazing delicious and authentic Italian food in Munich. Beautiful and romantic setting with a massive pothos. We were personally greeted and seated by the owner. We were able to order in English and all the food was delicious. The desserts were excellent, I could eat strawberries and mascarpone forever.

A very nervous owner: he is totally unfriendly and snaps at you if you only want to have a drink. My friend arrived a bit later, and he refused to serve him because he didn’t want to order food. “No drinks without food.” The pizza had a burnt, black crust. The dough was also of poor quality. The old man should retire and leave the place to someone more pleasant. I don’t understand how the good reviews come about, as we’ve had bad experiences repeatedly. It was probably the owner who didn't want to give us two seats without a reservation at 6 p.m. even though the whole place was empty. No employee would dare to treat people like that when they want to come to eat: aggressive and unfriendly! You can also see this in the responses to negative reviews.

The atmosphere is cozy and very elegant, with low and very pleasant lighting. The food is excellent, we had a starter of salami and coppa, followed by gnocchi and lasagna. The preparation of the pasta is fresh, I have never eaten such soft and tasty gnocchi. For dessert we ordered a mousse, and the owner suggested tiramisu. To please everyone, the dish came with three desserts, all of them delicious.

It was our first time there and it blew us away. The atmosphere is a dream, the staff is super friendly and the food tastes excellent. We will definitely come by more often.

The owner then said that he doesn't reserve in advance, he only accepts reservations 14 days in advance and he asks for a deposit of 150 euros because many guests cancel. I told him that I won't pay and said to him the guest is king, he will do as he pleases, then he shouted at me and threw me out of the restaurant Very very unpleasant owner

The food was delicious and the welcome was great, the owner tries so hard to make everyone feel at home. The Italian temperament is completely there, which we thought was wonderful to see.

I can only confirm the negative reviews. I have never experienced anything so unfriendly. As soon as we arrived, he was screaming at his guests on the phone. Then he yelled at us and told us several times that he didn't have to work anymore and that he didn't have his guests anymore would have to operate. Then why do you still run a restaurant? We then left because we hadn't ordered anything yet and he was getting louder and louder. Instead of letting us go without comment, he shouts after us. Embarrassing... instead of taking care of your other guests and avoiding such a circus. The restaurant still has its good reputation from before but that is long gone.

I accidentally reserved a table and politely called 15 minutes later to cancel the reservation. The landlord reacted unprofessionally and said we would never get a table again. This reaction was disappointing and unfriendly. That's why I can't recommend this restaurant.

I would like to give 0 stars! Today I made a reservation for two in my name and had to cancel 1 1/2 hours before the reservation due to health reasons. A very unfriendly Italian shouted at me and claimed that someone had already called and canceled because we would rather go to the beer garden. We should never make another reservation again because we would no longer get a table in this restaurant. I had absolutely no way of explaining to him that it was a misunderstanding and that no one else was calling because he just hung up. So I called again to clarify the misunderstanding. He yelled at me again that he didn't have time for me, he had to work and told me again about the caller who had apparently already canceled and just hung up again! I've really never experienced anything like that in my life!!! Absolutely unfriendly, unprofessional and disrespectful!

After I tried to cancel my reservation, I was told, "You don't need to call about that, you won't get a reservation in the future." I'm glad I didn't eat there. I really don't need such unfriendly staff.

A nice evening with good food and interesting conversation with the boss

We are regularly in Italy, Of course we tried all sorts of dishes there. With Fausto in Munich, you quickly feel like you're on vacation. We were there today and we all had a really good time. From starter to desert. The in-house tiramisu (without alcohol) is also suitable for children, a poem. We will stop there more often, even if we are not from Munich! Thanks to the team

Great ambience, average food & incredibly unfriendly service. The service was unfriendly & it felt like every question was too much. The owner initially assumed that his words were meant to be funny (sarcastic), but by the end of the evening it became clear that this was not the case. Rarely experienced something like that. We were basically told we should have left long ago. Drink was spilled and despite promises to bring a new one, none was brought. The table was also wet and this was not wiped up either. The first & last time! How you can keep a restaurant running with such an attitude amazes me.

On the last day of a business trip near the accommodation, I visited at the recommendation of my companions for Italian food. First of all, I highly recommend it. If you want authentic Italian food, be sure to visit. I especially enjoyed the meal because the owner was very passionate about golf and witty. From South Korea

Italian pasta and vongole are recognized as the best for their nutty flavor and richness. The meat is lightly seasoned so the quantity is a bit lacking^^~ The owner of the restaurant was serious about golf, and the flag he got from watching famous golf tournaments around the world was impressive, with autographs and photos of famous players. Jokes that convey memories and life wisdom to guests are the best. If I come to Munich again, it is to see Mr. Boss.

Family run Italian restaurant with excellent pasta dishes, wonderful bruschetta & tasty desserts. The atmosphere is like visiting Italy, you feel like you are there. The family Servers were efficient, fun & outspoken. We had a very pleasant evening.

Today I tried to reserve a table for a business lunch for eight people. I was told on the phone that I should transfer 200 euros (!!!) in advance to get the reservation. The reason is that so many people make reservations and then cancel at short notice. When I objected that I couldn't advance this privately because of the business occasion, I was told quite clearly that I wouldn't be able to eat at Da Fausto either and then hung up on me. I have never experienced such impudence! Incredible!

The Da Fausto restaurant is a very interesting and beautifully decorated restaurant run by the owners. It has an impressive guest list and the gallery on the way down to the basement is a real eye-catcher. The food is authentically Italian and offers exactly what you would expect from an Italian restaurant.

If you don't know your own prices and claim that 2 pizzas don't cost 15 euros, then you can't be helped anymore. 2. Sometimes two people just aren't that hungry, so they like to share a pizza. I hope enough people read your answer and prefer to eat at Marienplatz by the cathedral, you crazy clown. Here is the first answer from the owner: "If the three of you don't have 15 euros in your pocket and you want three people to eat two pizzas without drinking, you can't go to McDonald's!! Because it's even more expensive there than here!! You can at Marienplatz in the cathedral eat for free!!

I asked locally for a reservation for 8 people for a week. I was dragged into the kitchen to see a cook, a pizza maker and a dishwasher and then told that it was not possible to cook for 8 people and get a table. I was then very rudely complimented. Extremely unfriendly, there could be another way.

Even though we hadn't reserved in advance, we still got a very nice table. The owner himself welcomes most guests personally and accompanies the guest to his table. The entire staff (family) is very friendly. The restaurant is very cozy and immediately reminds you of Italy thanks to the ceiling paintings. The food was typically Italian and extremely tasty. Even at short notice, the patron strives to fulfill every wish of his guests, even if it threatens to exceed the capacity of his kitchen. I ate delicious tagliatelle with duck breast here and one of the best chocolate mousse ever. Italian-style jokes are very popular and other guests are often included and it's a great atmosphere here!

We wanted to reserve a table for 7 people by phone for Friday evening. According to the operator, you can only reserve a table if you pay a deposit of €100 and provide your credit card number. We are talking about a table reservation on a normal Friday, not a New Year's Eve where a deposit would be justified. This is how you scare away your “guests”. It's lucky we didn't visit this restaurant.
