Die Speisen und besonders der Kuchen waren sehr gut, unangenehm war, dass bei freien Plätzen wir eine Viertelstunde warten mussten, bevor wir platziert wurden. Bei angemessenen Preisen sollte es möglich sein, auch genügend Personal einzustellen und gut zu bezahlen.

Mein Besuch im Restaurant "Zur Historischen Mühle" hinterließ in mir ein Gefühl der starken Enttäuschung. Das Essen konnte meinen Erwartungen nicht gerecht werden, wodurch mein gesamter Eindruck des Ortes beeinträchtigt wurde. Einzig und allein die Getränke davor konnten einen Lichtblick in einer ansonsten unterdurchschnittlichen Erfahrung bieten. Titel enspricht dem Krautsalat, oder eben eher dem Kümmelsalat mit Kraut.

I have been here several times and have been satisfied so far. We always really liked the beer garden, delicious food and nice hospitality from the little hut. Unfortunately I drove home very angry today, I have never experienced such poor service. The restaurant wasn't full, there were at least 5 waiters and yet we were simply ignored. The menu didn't come for ages and some of the food came to our table incorrectly. The waiter looked for our order in his cluttered note pad. We weren't asked if we liked it and we had to wait forever for the bill, which wasn't exactly cheap. But there seems to be time to stand together with your colleagues and chat.

We were here for coffee on Sunday. Ambiance would have earned 5 stars, but: 1 star deduction for the lousy reception: The guests pile up in the entrance area and don't know whether they will be seated or have a free choice of seats. The obviously overwhelmed waitress cannot answer politely when asked. When asked to sit in the Palmengarten (winter garden), the answer was: “then you have to stand in line!” At the entrance to the Palmengarten, 20 m further on, there is a sign for placement. Here the 4 waiters (counted) constantly walk past without taking a look at the waiting guests. Only after being spoken to directly would you be put off and then asked to come to the table. This waiter was then very polite and friendly. 1 star deduction for the service: The crew (kitchen or service) was not able to serve three lattes and two pieces of cake and an ice cream sundae at the same time: first the cake came, 10 minutes later the coffee and another 10 minutes later the ice cream sundae . Conclusion: the service and therefore the restaurant falls far short of what is possible, especially since the (price) standards are supposed to be high (5.5€ for a milk coffee and over 11€ for a nut ice cream sundae with 3 small scoops and nut mixture from the bag) Ps: the tables were about 60% occupied Sorry, but we won't be coming back.

We had a birthday party in the restaurant in the “Charlottenhof” room there. Unfortunately, the preparations were a bit bumpy, but in the end the result was very impressive: all 20 guests were thrilled, the food was excellent (even intolerances were taken into account - thank you!), the service was good - note: it can In this day and age, guests are not expected to just snap their fingers to get their wish fulfilled, so a little patience is the order of the day! And here again expressly: THANK YOU! - and the ambience speaks for itself next to Sanssouci Palace. We were seated in this restaurant and waited for more than 10 minutes to receive a menu so we could order. The server passed our table 8 times and totally ignored us. Three other couples who came in after us got their menu cards but we were totally ignored. After more than a 10 minute wait, we left the restaurant without ordering. What I saw of the staff was that they were rude and arrogant and not suited for the hospitality industry.

We stopped here with a small child. Accordingly, I first have to praise the particularly great changing table. Child was thrilled. The coffee ☕️ was absolutely perfect in every way. We haven't experienced that in a long time. And the employees are really exemplary. Clear 10/10. Great.

After a wonderful day in Sanssouci, we were looking forward to some good food. We waited at the entrance for 20 minutes and were then rudely shown to a table. We weren't given menus and were completely ignored even though it wasn't too busy. After about 35 minutes we left. During this time no one attempted to place an order. Nice atmosphere, but with this staff it won't work. We were very disappointed 😡🤬

To start with something good: the food was tasty. Everything else was less rosy. Waiters walk around, don't see the work and talk loudly about the distribution of work. You are served by five different employees and one of them doesn't know what the other has already recorded. Orders get lost and you have to ask whether you can still get what you ordered. Some glasses were cracked and a waitress laced her shoes on the cutlery counter. Unfortunately, the whole process took two hours without a starter or dessert. Unfortunately, given the prices, I don't recommend it. Everything is more appearance than reality.

We were here on a Sunday and wanted to have coffee. For this purpose we positioned ourselves outside. After a while our order, coffee and cappuccino, was taken. When we asked for cake we were told that we should choose it inside and then order it from the waiter. But what didn't come was the same thing. There was a lot going on, no doubt, but there was obviously time for a glass of champagne at a table that had placed the order later. At some point, quite later, coffee came, unfortunately for another table, where there was at least half the order. When our two drinks came in two stages, we didn't want to order any more cake. The coffee was only lukewarm as it was obviously made immediately after ordering. At another table they had guests at least a piece of cake, but there were probably no drinks. These guests then left at some point. So it wasn't an isolated case. I always understand when things are busy, but that was the lowest category.

Unfortunately I can't give any stars. We got a seat outside. Unfortunately the table hasn't been cleared yet. After 20 minutes and “waving” we were able to place our order. After another 10 minutes my piece of cake arrived... yes another 30 minutes passed... everyone around us was full and we continued to sit and wait... the waiter drank champagne with guests and we sat and waited. The thread of patience broke after 60 minutes. We gave the cake back and left. Unbelievable. Hardly any service and it wasn't full. For us a hungry end to a beautiful day. We won't be coming back and are very disappointed with the service and the ignorance.

Easily the slowest service I’ve ever received in my life in any restaurant anywhere in the world. Painfully slow from all team members. No one should be subject to this service. We watched countless other tables having a similar experience. My food was okay. Not great. Just okay. My partner’s fish was very good. Men’s bathroom odour was unbearable. The Palace and grounds make up for this experience.

The 5/6 service staff were obviously overwhelmed by the restaurant being less than half full, so everything took forever... ok The ice cream is incredibly expensive for the size and taste... ok, you've already experienced that But not properly washed dishes and food leftovers from previous guests under the tables. The year before, we celebrated our beautiful wedding under the operator Mövenpick with exemplary staff. ————————— The food is always very good and reasonably priced. There is also a monthly evening menu (3 courses) for 2 people including a bottle of wine at a more than fair price. Highly recommended!!! The service is more than attentive and strikes the right balance between appropriate restraint and asking whether everything is OK. Simply great here too! I especially like the palm garden. The glass building with palm trees creates a pleasant and high-quality ambience. The building itself is also a real eye-catcher. Great location! We enjoy being guests here and can always enjoy our quality time thanks to the very good service and food. Thank you for that! PS: Parking spaces are available for a fee (not operated by Mövenpick), but you can have your ticket stamped after consumption and get the first hour free and a discount on the second.

We've been there twice for candlelight dinner and really enjoyed it both times! The ambience in the palm house is picturesque, the service is very courteous and friendly and the three-course menu is very tasty. Of course it's not cheap, but it's worth it for a special evening and a visit here is definitely worth it!

The staff in the pavilion is very, very slow and unfriendly. When asked about cutlery or sauces, the only answer was a plumbes, we didn't have any! The rolls were rock hard and the staff didn't seem to understand each other either. Overall, you can never recommend the beer garden.

The service was an indecisive team that didn't work well together. Which meant that with an order from 6 people, it hardly resulted in a good meal. It wasn't even about a portion of fries that weren't salted and you weren't even offered mayonnaise or ketchup with it. After asking about this, the answer was that there is only mustard. The colleague's bratwurst was not through, it was still raw inside.

Hands off! What was once a great restaurant with a wide range of cakes and dishes and friendly service has now become a subclassical restaurant with a very limited range of dishes and cakes, reduced space and service that seems overwhelmed. Not comparable to previous visits under obviously different management. The interior has also changed; plastic flowers are reminiscent of Asian fast food. It's a shame, but that won't affect guest satisfaction...

We waited over 30 minutes for a waiter to condescend and serve us. Unfortunately, that only worked after we excitedly waved our arms several times. When the waiter came and noticed that we must have been waiting a long time, we were speechless. He promised quick service as an apology and was amazed that we stayed so calm. Great!😬We ordered 1 large and a small shandy + the card. The cyclist came quickly and then nothing! The shandy was drunk and no food had been ordered yet. We then decided to leave. After paying we were speechless again. Another waiter asked when cashing out if that was all! The two cyclists also cost 11 euros. We'd love to never come back!

On a warm summer Sunday with 26 degrees, the best beer garden weather, we wanted to end our visit to Park Sans Souci with a visit to the beer garden around 5:50 p.m. We had been going there regularly in the last few years before Corona and there was beer in beer glasses and decent food, at least the ones that were advertised. Then there was a surprise at the “kiosk”: more than half of all the dishes advertised were out. The prices are decent for a beer garden. The saleswoman was friendly but shrugged her shoulders saying that everything was over and that they had nothing. The fries were from the metro and sealed meatballs were warmed up or put in the deep fryer and the beer came in a plastic cup. Unfortunately, despite the obvious attempts, we were quite disappointed, after all, this beer garden weather was announced days in advance and if you have cooling, you should perhaps buy accordingly in advance... We had the impression that they wanted to close even though the official end was 7 p.m. In comparison to when the tenant was Mövenpick, a remarkable difference. 50% of the tables in the beer garden that used to exist were also missing. The beer tables are the same, unfortunately already aged and with chipping paint. But maybe that's enough for the numerous foreign tourists...or their buses might all be gone by then... Just to clarify, we are rating the beer garden with kiosk, not the restaurant, we can't say how things are going there. Maybe things will look different there at lunchtime, we don't know... We won't be coming back to this beer garden for the time being and will look for something else or take something with us in the future, according to the old Berlin saying: when you go to Brandenburg, pack a sandwich... I only got the second star for the smile and friendliness, despite the tense supply situation

We ate lunch there today and I haven't been so dissatisfied with a restaurant's service in a long time. The Crema coffee tastes more watery than Aldi filter coffee and took 20 minutes, even though the seats were 20% full. The service staff have no motivation to work. From the time we arrived to the time we paid we had to get up and ask five times from four different service staff. In the end, our 10% tip was automatically deducted without asking. Of course you tip, but in my opinion not for this unique "service".

Not sure if it's the German palate but the food was just too salty. The service was also terrible as they were understaffed and it took so long to get their attention for anything. We asked for a cup of hot water to dilute the salty soup and the server never got back to us. He did not even acknowledge it when paying the bill... Basically, overpriced for salty food and lousy service...

It's a pity that a total of 8 of us had lunch in this restaurant on 14.07.2024. The service staff had a good attitude. We spent a total of 280 euros. After ordering, 4 of the dishes were delivered normally, but the other four main courses took 50 minutes to be delivered. The guests at other tables who came later than us had already been served, and we were seated I asked a bearded service staff about the situation in the beer garden outside, and the answer I got was: What can I do if you ask me? The most I can do is ask the chef for you! This kind of service attitude and method of solving things is really embarrassing! ! We came here because we thought this was a famous restaurant, but we didn't expect this to happen!

Katastrophale Bedienung - nicht zu empfehlen! Im Biergarten hatten wir Patz genommen und wollten gerne eine Bestellung aufgeben. Lange Zeit ist keine Bedienung gekommen. Auf unseren Ruf "Wir würden gerne bestellen" kam die freche Antwort eines vorbei kommenden Kellners "Das wollen andere auch". Daraufhin sind wir entsetzt aufgestanden und wollten gehen. Da rief der Kellner über den Nebentisch, so das es jeder hören konnte: "Auf Wiedersehen, aber kommen Sie nicht so bald wieder!" - Unser Besuch in der Gaststätte war ein Testversuch für eine anstehende große Familienfeier. Diese wird nun woanders stattfinden.

Food disastrous for the price. It would have tasted better in a snack bar. The mashed potatoes were ready, the steak was relatively good, the pasta with chanterelles was catastrophic (mushrooms were from the freezer, the sauce didn't taste like anything), there was hardly any cheese in the cheese spaetzle, etc. Long waiting times and unprofessional service. Absolutely not worth recommending! And at the end you had to wait 30 minutes for the bill (even though the restaurant was almost empty).

Sufficient staff, but everything without a plan! Unfortunately, the coffee machine didn't work properly...!!! Uniform clothing would also be nice!!!!!! Ich kenne dieses Haus seit etwa 30 Jahren. Es war immer schon gehobene Klasse, das Ambiente einzigartig und schön, das Essen immer etwas besonderes. Das Candle Light Dinner wirklich traumhaft. Nun hat ein neuer Betreiber das Ganze übernommen und hat mich leider enttäuscht. Das Essen war immer noch sehr gut, jedoch finde ich die Preise sehr überzogen, insbesondere, wenn man den Service dazu betrachtet. Das Personal wirkte planlos, die Bestellung konnte ich erst aufgeben, nachdem ich das Personal nach 30 Minuten angesprochen habe. Dann dauerte es noch über 30 Minuten bis das Essen kam und auch die Rechnung kam erst 20 Minuten, nachdem ich darum gebeten hatte. Ich hoffe, dass sich das Team zusammenfinden, ansonsten wird sich das bei Stammgästen sicher herumsprechen und auch auswirken. Viel Erfolg für das neue Team..ihr habt es in der Hand.

Waited too long for food. Service unfriendly and unprofessional. We ordered ice cream, which looked nothing like the one on the menu. (Fruit sorbe with fresh fruits = fruit cocktail slapped into a bowl with ice on top)👎🏼 It's a shame that Mövenpick is no longer there, but it was always worth a visit. It's also unbelievable that the old Mövenpick reviews are still online here, so you think it's good.

So this no longer has anything to do with the Mövenpick Restaurant, which we know and have appreciated so far. The new operators still have a lot to learn. But let's start from the beginning: reservations by telephone were not possible because no one answered the phone for a period of three hours. So just go there. The welcome was very friendly, we were allowed to choose a seat ourselves, but were not accompanied to the table, so we were immediately asked about the drinks, but without having seen the food and drinks menu. This was brought to us after ten minutes. The menu is clear, nothing spectacular and no seasonal dishes. Drinks were also only standard a la Cola, Fanta, Bionade etc. The food came in a reasonable time frame, the Wiener Schnitzel was more of a joke and has nothing to do with the Wiener Schnitzel as the original, especially since it is completely overpriced at €28. The pike perch fillet was OK and tasty. After the meal our plates were not cleared away, there was no question as to whether we were satisfied or even had any further wishes. Invoice without receipt (hello dear tax office), no thank you and no proper farewell. But now the real low point: In the men's toilets, I apologize in advance, it smelled so much like piss that it just makes you puke. Sorry, there's no other way to describe it. That's not normally my style. All in all, no thanks and the stars were only given so “high” because I still want to remain objective. Unfortunately for us, never again!

After a nice walk in the park, we visited the beer garden as a family. My wife, who was born in Potsdam, praised the former Mövenpick. The menu at the entrance was stacked high and then we entered the forgotten garden (not in a good way) the beer garden is already pretty rocky. There were maybe 10 guests in total. Inviting is clearly different. We actually wanted to eat something but decided against it after we saw the snack bar. The two women were clearly overwhelmed by the handful of guests. I don't expect such a tragedy even in the deepest Brandenburg hinterland. A very bad flagship for the restaurant. Good luck with the strong and much better competition in Potsdam.

Unfortunately I have to say that I no longer like the historic mill. Were there today. Service didn't greet us, couldn't tell what was on the menu, expensive prices for mediocre food. Cola was non-carbonated. There were still used dishes on some of the tables and in the toilet you had the feeling of standing on a toilet at a rest area. I will certainly not visit the restaurant again

It took half an hour for the waiter to take my order in the 70% empty outdoor dining area. Apparently they had forgotten my tarte flambée in Strasbourg. I wonder what motivated the Prussian Palaces and Gardens Foundation to lease the former Mövenpick restaurant to Ascona. I was a regular at this restaurant for 8 years, sometimes several times a week, and I'm just horrified. First attempt on a Wednesday evening. I had reserved for two people. We arrived and were shown to the table. This was neither set nor decorated in any way, apart from a salt and pepper cruet. Apparently there are no tablecloths anymore. The table apparently hadn't been wiped down. The edges of cups or glasses could still be seen. The waiter was friendly, but the style of clothing would have fit perfectly in a football bar, but not in a restaurant. The staff apparently no longer wear uniforms. After briefly studying the map we left. Prices have risen sharply with the change of operator, which makes the declining service level all the more incomprehensible. Apparently none of the old qualified and long-standing staff is there anymore. Second attempt for lunch on Friday. It is nice weather. However, you cannot sit on the outside terrace as it is not in operation despite the summer temperatures. The waiter led me to the table. The waiter quickly cleared away any dishes that were still there. However, the table was not wiped clean. The drink comes after a reasonable waiting time. The large bottle of water is placed above the board. It is not poured or at least the bottle is not opened. This was closed very tightly. I had 5 minutes to do and could only open the bottle using my clothes. The waiter is not unfriendly, but is extremely hectic and rushed and does not give the feeling of being welcome as a guest. The zander and asparagus tasted good and were ok, but not a highlight and the taste cannot be compared to the cuisine at Mövenpick. The potatoes are a little floury. Unfortunately there is no longer a greeting from the kitchen. Bread, mayonnaise etc. costs extra according to the menu. Tour groups sit left and right and are frantically served by waiters from the kitchen. A service worker even wears Mövenpick clothing. There is a canteen atmosphere. The beautiful cart with alcoholic drinks sits sadly hidden in a corner under a green protective cover. Unfortunately, when clearing away, no one asks whether it can be another espresso or something similar. They also don't ask for the parking ticket to be validated. If asked, it will be canceled but not brought back to the table. It would be best for me to come forward straight away. Apparently the boss who was serving didn't notice that I still had a half-full water bottle on the table. I was emotionally in tears as I walked out. The place where I once spent many happy hours no longer exists. It's terrible how the proud and traditional Mövenpick is becoming a pure tourist trap.

I went there for a late breakfast and highly recommend it. Beautiful ambience in the immediate vicinity of Sanssouci Palace. The breakfast was attractively served on a cake stand and tasted very good. Unfortunately the waiting times are a bit hesitant. For example, the coffee was brought immediately after ordering and by the time the rest came it was already cold. Therefore only 4 ⭐️ for the otherwise friendly service.

I was looking forward to our visit because it had always been nice the previous times. Unfortunately it is now a new operator and the price-performance ratio is no longer right. Food itself was okay, but €5 less would be more appropriate. Long waiting times and rude service that cannot serve properly. So I saved the cake for dessert. The winter garden is still the highlight, but now it is more geared towards tourists. It's a shame, one less destination

After the takeover in April 2024, the place is no longer what it used to be. The beautiful, bright and open ambience of the former Mövenpick restaurant is still there, but that's mostly it for the positive points. We used to receive friendly service and there were different dishes in different price ranges. Today there is only a small menu and all the dishes have something in common: they are grossly overpriced. I also found the service to be not really friendly, rather passive-aggressive, and the guest wasn't even given a little bread and butter if they waited for a long time. They shamelessly charge 34 euros for a plated meal without a side salad or anything similar. Given this business approach, the store would probably go out of business quickly, but the countless tourists who visit the park will probably prevent that (keyword: tourist rip-off).

Ambience is ok, a bit old. However, proximity to Sanssouci Palace is unbeatable. A waiter (with a beard) wore black sweatpants with a T-shirt and sneakers, which doesn't suit the location in my opinion. We were served by a nice waitress.

We were here for breakfast with 14 people and unfortunately something went wrong. To give a few examples: - we ordered 3 bottles of still water for all of us. The bottles were already opened, it wasn't still water and it tasted like lemon. We complained about the bottles and received 3 new ones, 2/3 of which had already been opened. It doesn't work at all. - Throughout our entire visit we had to point out several times about missing bread baskets, missing tea, etc. - very little selection through the etagere. Some of us could hardly eat any of it. A bit disappointing for the price per cake stand compared to the buffet before. Most of us were already full and the food was, on the whole, tasty, but since the restaurant at the historic mill is really not the cheapest place for breakfast in Potsdam, the things mentioned should urgently be changed.

There were 14 women there for breakfast, but unfortunately there was no choice in the cake stand and unfortunately over half of them were left behind. Fish and puffballs in particular are not for everyone. We had ordered 3 bottles of still water, one of which was filled with lemon sparkling water and another with stale sparkling water, even though all the bottles said still water on them. Yep, the remains of other bottles are probably dumped together and sold again at a higher price. Very hygienic!

When we looked at the prices on the menu, we gasped a little. When we arrived at the entrance, the menu initially offered a clear, albeit trivial, range of food and drinks served, but after looking at the associated prices (€34.00 for a schnitzel) we decided to satiate ourselves with proletarian food on Labor Day at the beer garden/snack stand located on the property. The queue of people found there promised some waiting time, but with such a queue length of approx. 10 meters the maximum waiting time is never longer than the corresponding length in meters. What happened there is reminiscent of the deepest times in the former workers' and farmers' state. After 45 minutes of just standing in line in the blazing sun, while in front of you the two so-called service specialists were - let's call it - "serving" the guests in slow motion, taking about 5 minutes for each customer who ordered more than one bratwurst. We finally reached the checkout and ordering area. The offer, which was suspected from afar and difficult to recognize, was suddenly reduced by half when we arrived at the checkout area, as the entire dessert area had already been excluded from the ordering option with a small sticky note on the sign. During the waiting time, which seemed endless, we still had the opportunity to get an overview of the food that other guests received before us. However, the portions that were carried past us by the other guests gave rise to fears of the worst in terms of value for money. A currywurst, served with a partially baked, completely white ready-made roll for 5 € or a completely tiny but dripping with fat meat loaf with a raven black crust (greetings from acrylamide) for the same price were just the highlights of the "food" on offer. After a tourist couple completed their order, including picking up the ordered goods, in a surprisingly short time and, with increasing hunger, the longed-for refreshment was now getting closer, the order of 2 curry sausages with fries and two Fassbrause was promptly rejected because Fassbrause was not in stock. As a customer, I then rightly ask why a product that is fundamentally non-existent is still being advertised, especially since the two employees know how to react in such situations. They already had a paper note with microwriting on the dessert/cake board that said “no cake!” appropriate, then why not with the drinks? In order not to stop the flow of customers that had just begun, we quickly ordered two iced teas for the proud price of €3.50 a half-liter bottle. I'm only used to such ridiculous prices at airports. As soon as my companion and I had placed our order, the older, blonde-haired service worker told us in a demanding, condescending and generally annoyed, unfriendly tone that both curry sausages and fries had run out at the very moment we wanted to order. The unfriendly service person replied in a harsh tone that she first had to fry new sausages and that this would take 15 minutes. Only then did we realize the reason for the long wait. Only when a guest orders something is it prepared. They collected the €7 and told us to come back in 15 minutes. Of course we would have to go back to the end of the 10 meter long queue (i.e. wait another 45 minutes). This is so presumptuous and brazen that it can hardly be put into words. Especially since after waiting 45 minutes you could get an announcement again asking you to please get in line again. Service? Zero! And as a thank you, he was also insulted and reprimanded. Especially with a castle around the corner, you should know how a king (i.e. the customer) is treated. Drank the iced tea and left. Never again. Dear potential guests: please give it a wide berth. Thank me later. To management: please train or replace staff.

After a long 45-minute queue in a small queue of a few meters at the snack bar in the beer garden, I finally got to the checkout area with my companion. While waiting, other guests walking past made it clear that the quality of the food was very questionable. However, we didn't let that stop us because we were very hungry and thirsty. We chose the snack bar in the beer garden because the restaurant with very little choice of dishes and prices of 34 euros for a schnitzel is simply a joke. We just wanted a currywurst with fries and a Fassbrause. She didn't want to give us the currywurst because it was still on the grill. (We should get back in line as it may take a while and try again later) Instead of just putting 20 sausages on the grill when you see that there is a queue, she only puts the number of sausages on the grill that are the customer just ordered. No wonder it's taking so long. We have never seen such unprofessional staff. Nevertheless, to quench our thirst, we bought 2 iced teas for 7 euros. Also a snotty joke. The prices are a difference compared to the restaurant, but for a snack bar, despite the good location but the poor quality, it's just a rip-off. For currywurst (with half-baked rolls), fries and iced tea for two people, that's about 30 euros. For a family (parents and two children) you would have to leave 60 euros here. And that for mini portions, poor quality and poor service. In addition, the staff is also extremely unfriendly. A customer ordered liver cheese. The meat loaf was completely black on the outside and looked so greasy, as if it had been in the deep fryer for 2 days. I advise everyone to walk 1km further into the city, it's cheaper and much better. The health department should look into something like this.

I often come here for breakfast. Now the new operator, I was excited and a little disappointed when I entered. The ambience has suffered. No one knows tablecloths anymore...it's a shame. For reasons of age, the tables are not suitable for a small doily. The staff are no longer dressed so accurately...Nevertheless, they are still very attentive. The tower breakfast was ok but now also significantly more expensive. I was missing something. Of course I will come back in the hope that they will again make an effort to add details that underline the overall ambience.

There were 3 of us. After a long wait until someone assigned us a seat, we were able to sit down. The service came quickly. Another waitress ran frantically and uncomfortably through the tables. Nobody responded. When I said maybe they mixed it up, it wasn't supposed to be Black Forest cake, she rolled her eyes. Nevertheless, my cake didn't come and after 5 minutes with the ice cream running out I was asked if I was sure. I said yes, I know what I'm ordering. The frantic waiter came back and I asked him to pay. He tells me he'll take the ice cream sundae and the cake off the bill. (So it was ordered correctly after all ;-) When paying, the waiter took a lot of money out of his wallet. When he was told that he had lost money, he laughed loudly and said loudly that he would deal with it later, that he didn't even need to work here, that he actually had a car rental company. Very, very unpleasant and if you don't need it then that person shouldn't work there and ruin the actually nice atmosphere with their behavior. Apart from the fact that the whole stay was unpleasant.

Chaos + service desert... Went there again after several years and were unfortunately absolutely disappointed. Unfortunately, the beautiful ambience cannot compensate for the poor service. Just wanted to have coffee, cake and ice cream. The higgledy-piggledy waiter who was apparently responsible for us assigned us a table, after which he could only be seen in the distance. He promised us he would come straight away, and after we called our attention after half an hour, he took our order: 2 latte machiatos, 1 cappuccino, 1 piece of cake, 2 ice creams. Nothing happened for ages. We drew attention again to a waiter who happened to be near us. The order didn't seem to have been transferred yet either. So we ordered again. Almost everything came differently than ordered: 1 latte machiato, 2 cappuccinos, 2 pieces of cake, 2 times ice cream. Unfortunately not (any longer) recommended. We probably won't come back again. It's a shame, because visually it's a great place.

Yesterday we drank various well-kept beers here. The previous ones were very delicious. The staff is very friendly, helpful, socially competent and very valuable. Die Reservierung für sechs Personen hat trotz Bestätigung nicht funktioniert. Dennoch wurde souverän auf die schnelle ein Tisch bereitet. Leider waren da auch gesprungen Weingläser dabei. Auch bei der Bestellung der Menüs ging eine Bestellung daneben. Statt Fisch kam ein Steak. Nach ca. 10 Minuten kam der bestellte Fisch. Leider waren da dann schon die Hauptgerichte der anderen Personen nur noch lauwarm bis kalt. Das Für ein Restaurant dieser Kategorie nicht wirklich akzeptabel. Insgesamt war das Essen in Ordnung, aber nicht so das wir für ein Restaurant dieser Preisklasse wiederkommen würden.

We started out as a group of 5 and were seated then three extra people unexpectedly joined us, including two children and it was no problem to move us to a larger table. Service was friendly and helpful and accommodating of a large group including a couple of non-German speakers. Food was delicious and a good night was had by all, celebrating a family visit from visitors from a long way away in a multi-generational group.

Normalerweise eines unser Lieblingsrestaurants. Das Essen und der Service war wie gewohnt gut. Leider zeigte sich eine fehlende Flexibilität bei der Bezahlung. Wir hatten von Freunden einen Gutschein geschenkt bekommen. Wir haben diesen nicht vollständig verbraucht und wollten den Restbetrag i.H.v. 30,50 Euro als Folgegutschein erhalten. Hier weigerte sich die Serviceangestellte und meinte, dass der Betrag leider verfallen würde. Wir haben dann noch eine Flasche Wein außer Haus gekauft, aber wir waren schon ziemlich verärgert. Ein freundliches Schreiben an die Geschäftsleitung mit dem Hinweis, dass so etwas nach unserer Meinung nicht angemessen für das hochpreisige Restaurant sei, blieb bis heute unbeantwortet. Wir sind enttäuscht und werden ersteinmal mit dem Besuch dort pausieren.
