Great location in Potsdam – all sights are easily accessible on foot or by public transport. The hotel borders the Russian colony of Alexandrowka and is close to Sanssouci Palace, the Heiliger See (Holy Lake), and the city center. Very clean and quiet, with very friendly staff. The rooms are spacious and have ample storage space.

Finally, a stay at the Dorint Potsdam! I've known the hotel for ages, but this was my first time as a guest. The reception was extremely competent and courteous, with a friendly atmosphere. The lobby with its glass elevators immediately reminded me of the BER airport, especially parking garage 7/8. Everything was clean and welcoming. The parking garage was excellent, and room access was easy. The rooms, bathroom fixtures, toilet seat, and a loose electrical outlet all showed their age. None of this detracted from the overall experience, but it's only a 4-star rating. The prices for breakfast and parking reflect the quality, variety, and pleasant ambiance. The hotel bar deserves a mention. There are people there who can actually make cocktails without prior notice. A Cosmopolitan was quite a challenge! So, everything else is 5 stars, and it was a lovely stay!

€25 for one night in the parking garage is overpriced, but necessary. The air conditioning only turns off when the window is open; please provide your guests with something to turn it off when they check in. We only encountered friendly and helpful staff; keep it up! The breakfast is good, but not outstanding.

The hotel is very nice, and the staff are consistently friendly and helpful. I especially appreciate that the hotel apparently also provides apprenticeships – this was confirmed by a trainee I spoke to. My only criticism is the price for the underground parking garage: €5 per hour seems quite expensive. Otherwise, the entire complex makes a very well-maintained and clean impression.

The hotel and rooms are very nice and well-equipped. The breakfast buffet is extensive and delicious. However, the exorbitant price for parking in the garage is a definite drawback. €25 for each night of the stay and a flat rate of €30 for the electric vehicle charging station, regardless of how much you charge, in addition to the parking fees, is simply unacceptable and cannot be justified in any hotel. Furthermore, we have never experienced a hotel where staff were absolutely unwilling to even check if the room was ready at 2 pm, but instead insisted on the 3 pm check-in time.

The rooms are standard; there's nothing to complain about or particularly noteworthy about them. I don't know if they're really 4-star hotels, as I've stayed in similar rooms in 3-star hotels. What really annoys and irritates me, however, is the fact that the hotel is advertised online as vegan-friendly, yet the breakfast buffet offers nothing vegan except hummus and muesli. Even the Google page here states that there are vegan options. There's no sign of them, and I feel misled. This is outdated, but we're used to it. It's quite another thing, though, to emphasize something and then offer nothing of the sort. This will probably be our last short break at a hotel, as we've only had bad experiences so far regarding plant-based food options. The healthy and cruelty-free trend seems to have completely passed this industry by. It's a shame; this is how you lose customers in the long run. €25 for one night in the parking garage is also completely overpriced. I was glad I found a spot two streets away. We're going to explore Potsdam now, and tomorrow morning we'll have a bowl of muesli and a roll with hummus again. Edit: Our comment at reception was met with some surprise, and they promised to inform the kitchen. This obviously didn't happen, because the selection hadn't changed the next day. We then asked directly at the buffet, and the very nice lady prepared a small plate of vegan cold cuts for us. Two types of sausage, one type of cheese. At least that was something. But even here, it's incomprehensible that they advertise a vegan breakfast and then the selection remains so basic when we ask. There are so many vegan foods available these days, from yogurt to spreads, salads, and much, much more; in many cases, they could rely solely on plant-based alternatives. It's a real shame; it's a missed opportunity.

The location is ideal if you want to reach many sights on foot. The entrance area is spacious and has a simple, clean design. The staff are very friendly. Unfortunately, our room was very run-down. There were stains on the walls, the floor, and the armchair. In the bathroom, there was a long hair left in the shower from the previous guest. The shower head had been haphazardly fixed with a cable tie to keep it from slipping down. This urgently needs to be repaired.

Unfortunately, we were more than disappointed by the consistently poor service and the extremely high prices. The restaurant is closed on Sundays. The overnight stay was €25.00 per day, and breakfast was €25.00 per person. The toilet was dirty with hair and dirt. The hairdryer in the next room was broken. First, the cards weren't valid for the pool area, and then this happened: small children were in the pool until late in the evening without any protection against feces. The pool has since been closed. This afternoon, several children were in the sauna with their parents. All of them were wearing swimwear. The staff didn't feel responsible. That's unacceptable! But that's exactly why we chose this hotel. No price reduction!

The hotel is conveniently located, has a nice spa area, and the service is okay. Unfortunately, our room wasn't particularly clean. The trash can in the bathroom was still full from the previous occupant, and the bathroom fixtures and wardrobe were dusty. It's a shame; it shouldn't happen in this category.

The Dorint Hotel is uniquely located, providing quick access to Potsdam's most important sights. The rooms are modern, the breakfast leaves nothing to be desired, and the spa and fitness areas are commendable. Always worth a visit.

Unfortunately, I can't give more stars. We booked an overnight stay for a business trip. The price was perfectly fine at 120 euros. But when we had to add another night, we were asked for 230 euros. With a 90% cancellation fee, that's not fair. For 120 euros, the room was OK, but for 230 euros you definitely expect more. The open spaces of the hotel are beautiful and of high quality. There was a fully automatic coffee machine in the middle of the foyer - no sign on it. When I wanted to make myself an espresso (breakfast time), I was rather rudely informed that the machine was not for public use but for an event. THEN PUT A SIGN UP! The sound makes the music here - and it wasn't appropriate. Beds are only made every two days, or the room is tidied... And that for 230 euros a night... I feel like I was ripped off and won't be staying here again.

A great stay at the Dorint Hotel Potsdam! The pool and sauna were fantastic, the water pleasantly warm. The staff were extremely friendly, the breakfast was excellent, and the facilities were top-notch. There's also a gym. Perfect location: within walking distance of Sanssouci Palace, and the tram stop right next to the hotel makes trips to Berlin easy. Highly recommended!

The hotel is very large and has an extremely large number of rooms. Unfortunately, the window in our first room couldn't be opened, and the air conditioning was very loud. I have no idea who would be able to sleep there. Fortunately, the reception staff were able to help. The room is large and clean. The furnishings are functional and comfortable. It's annoying that you have to pay extra to use the pool and spa. I've never experienced anything like that before. Even more annoying is the rate for the underground parking garage: €25 per day. This should be mentioned somewhere in the hotel description. Parking nearby is not possible. In my opinion, the facilities here are being mercilessly exploited. This unfortunately leaves a bad taste in the mouth. Due to the sheer number of rooms, we also had to expect a lot of guests at breakfast. And that's exactly what happened. But hats off to the staff there. Very friendly and everything was on top of things. Used tables were immediately cleared, thoroughly washed, and re-set. And all of this was somehow uneventful. The buffet lacked nothing, and it was constantly replenished. Absolutely delicious!

The Dorint Hotel is actually very good. We've stayed there several times and have always been very satisfied. We were unlucky all around. The bed was too narrow for two people. The window couldn't be opened, and the air conditioning was too loud and inefficient. This made the room stuffy and difficult to breathe. And to top it all off, the bathroom stank of feces.

A very relaxed hotel, exactly what I'm looking for on a city break. I'd happily stay there again.

Hello, I can't give it a good rating yet because I booked a room and unfortunately I have to cancel it. I have asked for cancellation confirmation several times since September 19th and have called several times, but still nothing. That means that if I don't go on the trip, I have to pay - so, I don't know the Dorint chain like that. I was also lucky enough to get a woman on the phone once who said it might take a while, but after writing three times and calling twice, something must be wrong. Then, as in my case, it's better to stay away.

It's a large hotel with a restaurant, bar, and spa area. Underground parking is available and can be booked for an additional charge. The rooms are spacious and clean, with a hairdryer and bathtub. A bottle of water is provided in the room as a welcome gift, as well as a drink voucher for two people at the bar. The city center, as well as many sights, are a 15-minute walk away.

The rooms are good and clean, and the furnishings are functional. Parking in the underground garage is also excellent. The food in the bar is excellent, but the selection is very limited.

The restroom wasn't clean. The hotel had a 90s look with yellow carpet. Showers were in the bathtub. The location was very good. The food was also okay.

Very nice hotel, everything clean and tidy. It's nice that there's a pool. However, the underground parking is a bit too expensive. Unfortunately, the food selection at the bar isn't as good anymore. You used to be able to order a salad, pannini, or tarte flambée. It's a shame.

Overall, the hotel was good. The breakfast buffet was excellent. In the evening, you could also have a buffet, but for €39, which we found a bit too much. What was completely unacceptable, and something we haven't experienced at any other hotel, was that we had to pay extra for the pool, which was also communicated to us in a very unfriendly manner.

The hotel's location is great; basically everything is close by: Sanssouci, Alexandrowka, the Old Town, etc. Breakfast was very good and varied. However, for the price, we expected more. The bathroom in the room smelled unpleasant and the room was very cold. The staff did quickly take care of a functioning air conditioning. It was very disappointing that the pool apparently wasn't working, especially for the two days we were there. We were there with our young son, and we were told that children weren't allowed in the spa area after 6 p.m. However, as we left the hotel, another employee told us that the pool had actually been working the day before and that it was allowed if accompanied by a parent. Outrageously unfriendly to children!

We stayed at the Dorint Hotel in Potsdam for three nights and were very satisfied. We were particularly impressed by the friendly service at the reception and the excellent breakfast buffet. The wide selection (including a pancake machine) and the quality of the diverse food on offer left nothing to be desired. A small refrigerator in the room might be desirable for the warmer months, but the lack of one didn't bother us during our stay. Overall, it was a great short break in Potsdam in a beautiful hotel. If we're in Potsdam again, we'll definitely be back!

I have no idea what a hotel needs to achieve 4 stars. If it offers a top central location, a rich breakfast buffet, friendly staff, large and quiet rooms, a great underground garage where you can easily store your bikes, and an overall pleasant ambiance, then it's definitely worthy of 4 stars. We felt very comfortable and can recommend the hotel. The only criticisms are the outdated showers and the toilet cleaning service. Using chlorine every now and then works wonders.

Friendly staff, great location, very good breakfast, only 1 km from the center. Unfortunately, the bar and restaurant events, such as dinner, aren't advertised. We only found it by chance. Unfortunately, the toilet in the room had dark stains that didn't seem to go away. Perhaps they should try a different cleaning product. Otherwise, everything was fine.

Dog-friendly. Dogs can be walked right outside the door. Potsdam is generally a green oasis. There are definitely plenty of opportunities for dogs to go for lovely walks here. The rooms are above-average sized and modern. There are small holes in the curtains, which aren't particularly attractive, but the outside heat is regulated well. It was 35 degrees Celsius (95 degrees Fahrenheit) and we didn't notice any air conditioning. The bathtub is too narrow and can also be used as a shower. It gets narrower towards the top, and you can't fit in comfortably. There's no bar, but there is an above-average closet. We immediately noticed this as a positive. We were given two food bowls and a blanket for the dogs. They were given a welcome treat at reception. You can leave the food downstairs to cool it down. The breakfast was too expensive for us at €25 per person. We walked into the city every day. All the sights are within walking distance. The wellness area is okay (not very cozy) and inexpensive, available as an additional charge of €7.50 per stay. We paid about €75 per room for two people. Dogs cost €15 per day. That's good value, especially considering the central location.

A good and large hotel with a garage under the hotel. The garage cost 25€/day regardless of whether you just parked, as in our case 12 hours. Large and nice breakfast buffet. We had dinner at the restaurant and the food was very good. The disadvantage of the hotel is that it is located right next to 2 very busy streets, which unfortunately disturbed the night's sleep significantly. Therefore the room only gets 3 stars.

Our room was clean and well-maintained, as was the rest of the hotel. The breakfast was varied; there's a lot to choose from beyond the usual standard. We liked it so far. The only thing that bothered us was the underground parking garage. As a hotel guest, you pay an additional €25 for your overnight stay. We haven't experienced this at other hotels. They charged a maximum of €7 per day. In addition, the red pipes of the sprinkler system run across the middle of many (not all) parking spaces. These are installed so low that the tailgate of the car slams into them, at least the first time you open it. From the second time onwards, we always had to put our hands between them to avoid denting the car. I can't say much about the staff. We had a quick chat when checking in, everyone was buzzing around busily at breakfast, and when checking out, the employee briefly wanted to charge me €100 more for parking, but we sorted this out very quickly. The hotel is a bit out of the way, so it was actually quite quiet. And the beds are very comfortable, we slept like babies.

Update after the stay: • Reception & Service: The team was very friendly, courteous, helpful, and especially quick with check-in/out. • Goodwill: Today, we were given free parking, and we also received free access to the spa area – a nice gesture that wasn't to be taken for granted. • Food: Breakfast and conference catering were truly excellent – a buffet that left nothing to be desired, fresh, plentiful, and tasteful. • Spa area: Generally well-maintained. However, there were some areas for improvement: • Lack of steam room and no option for a steam sauna, • The water in the lower pool wasn't always refilled, which I personally missed. • Fitness area: Compact, but sufficient for a basic workout – not really a point of criticism. Overall conclusion: Those who were unable to reach me by phone yesterday were personally compensated. The friendly service, the excellent food, and the courtesy (free parking garage & spa!) bring me up from my original 2-star rating to 5 stars. I'm happy to revise my impression, but I'm still honest with my comments. Thank you for the wonderful experience – I'd be happy to come back! ... I've called six times now and wanted to reserve two rooms. I tried all the operator numbers, but unfortunately, no one wanted to answer the phone. Unfortunately, we need the hotel and will now book for tomorrow through Booking, but guest services are different. There isn't even a transfer to the reception.

We spent one night at this hotel on our trip to Poland and were thoroughly satisfied. The hotel offers everything you need for a comfortable stay – clean and well-equipped rooms, friendly staff, and a relaxed atmosphere. The wellness area was particularly nice: we were able to go swimming and truly unwind, which was very beneficial after the long drive. Overall, we felt very comfortable and would stay here again anytime!

We were pleasantly surprised. We got a room for one night at short notice, and the receptionist was exceptionally friendly. The underground parking garage (€25 daily fee), even for larger cars, was great. Our room was surprisingly large and very clean. The staff was very polite and attentive, and the breakfast was impeccable. The hotel's location is excellent; Potsdam's city center, including the Dutch Quarter, is within walking distance.

A formerly modern hotel, now clearly showing its age with a significant backlog of renovations. The reception area is chic and modern. The service staff has a Berlin attitude and manners. On the way to the room, worn, faded hallway carpets are noticeable, as are streaks on the wall and stains in the carpet. The bathroom was chic in the 1990s, but – just like the lighting control – is far from modern. Check-out is at 12 p.m., but at 10:30 a.m., the service staff enters the rooms to tidy up, with the excuse of a New York second. Underground parking costs €25 per day, and a bottle of water costs €8 at the bar. There is a charging station, but it costs €30. Summary: Extremely poor value for money. The hotel only benefits from its location; otherwise, there are better and more economical alternatives.

Great hotel, definitely book the breakfast option, even if the price of €25.00 is a bit off-putting, but if you're a breakfast person, you'll be happy. 👍 Dog-friendly hotel, but one star deducted because the room wasn't completely clean; there was unfortunately still dog hair on the sofa. The rest of the accommodation (2 rooms and bathroom) was clean, however. Unfortunately, there's no small refrigerator in the room. Location: 15 minutes from the city center, but a quiet location. This is our second time here and we would come back again and again. 😄

A good conference hotel with a 90s charm. It's designed in a horseshoe shape, so you may have to walk a bit to your room. A large wellness area with a pool, but only a small, limited fitness offering. Centrally located near all the sights. Good breakfast.

The reception was very friendly. They gave us lots of helpful tips for our stay. A rich breakfast, but unfortunately, the staff were very unfriendly. We have to mention this clearly, as tables are marked "reserved" even during breakfast time. Many guests then search in vain for a table. The receptionist tells them, "They've already cleaned the room for tomorrow." - ??? The spa area is beautiful, with a fitness room, sauna, whirlpool, and pool, as well as a small outdoor area for sunbathing. Thank you very much!

We stopped here on the Havel Cycle Path. It's a quiet location, yet you can still get to the center of Potsdam quickly. We were able to lock our bikes securely in the underground garage. The room was good, with comfortable beds. The breakfast buffet was extensive, and they even included freshly baked fried eggs. Very friendly service. It took a little longer at reception, but it was OK.

Mid-range hotel. Dirty bed linens. Nail polish on the bathtub and black crumbs on the bathroom counter. I actually cleaned it first. I wouldn't call it a spa—there's a pool, but it doesn't feel like a spa. More like an indoor swimming pool. There's room for improvement—especially for the extra cost. There are hotels in Potsdam that are similarly priced but have a wonderful spa, and it's included. The spa didn't smell particularly pleasant either.

The hotel is OK! This was our second time staying at this hotel, and we've stayed at Dorint hotels several times before. Unfortunately, this time we discovered that the Dorint in Potsdam no longer lives up to its 4-star standard. The rooms were clean, but cleaning was set to every two days unless requested. A set of towels was forgotten during cleaning, which we discovered upon our return at 11 p.m. Annoying when you want to shower. The rooms are equipped with a bathtub, which is a matter of taste, but we would prefer a shower. There's no minibar, nor a kettle or coffee maker. A 0.5-liter bottle of water was provided for the three of us as a welcome. Breakfast was also okay, but not outstanding. You can have freshly fried eggs prepared, but there was no omelet. We also missed salmon, for example, from the buffet. We enjoyed sitting in the bar in the evenings, but it required a lot of patience. A 30-45 minute wait for drinks or the bill was normal here. We were already familiar with the location, which is a bit out of the way, near the Russian colony, so it's only about a 10 to 15-minute walk from the center. Whether the €25 parking fee per night is really necessary is debatable. So we parked for free in a side street opposite the hotel. In short: The hotel is OK, but not quite up to date for a 4-star hotel.

I would also rate the breakfast as top-notch. The rooms, sports facilities, and spa area are beyond reproach. I found the underground parking space to be a negative, and above all, excessively expensive. The pub wasn't open. However, you could visit the bar. The drinks there aren't cheap. But don't worry. You won't lose your money there that quickly. The two or three staff members are simply not capable of that. I can't imagine what it would be like with a really large number of guests.

A beautiful, perfectly clean, very service-oriented hotel with friendly staff. The breakfast is wonderful.

Lovely hotel brilliant staff spacious rooms underground parking and walking distance to shops and restaurants.

We stayed at this hotel for two nights to get to know Potsdam. It's located very close to Sanssouci Palace. It's very clean and qualifies as a 4-star hotel. The beds are very comfortable, and the breakfast is particularly good. Overall, highly recommended.

Services are not working, you won't get clean towels during your stay and if you run out of something (like paper) it's not replenished, they don't have staff..., parking is 20 Euros per day...

Overall, a good hotel with a good location and decent amenities. Great breakfast! However, room service was not good during our two-day stay. The water glasses provided were dirty and were not replaced even upon request, and the beds were not made during the day.

Great location, friendly staff. Especially the two gentlemen at the reception. They made our short trip even better with tips and suggestions. The breakfast was excellent. There was something for every taste. The price for breakfast was a bit high, and the underground parking wasn't exactly cheap, but like everywhere else. We'd be happy to come back.

The room seemed shabby and was dusty. We found the underground parking fees to be very high. The front desk staff, while friendly, failed to provide important information. Breakfast was good but difficult to find a seat even at 7:30am. Overall, the price-performance ratio did not meet our expectations.

Always super nice. Friendly, clean, and pleasant. Easter was wonderful and child-friendly. On Easter Sunday, the children found lots of Easter eggs. It was a successful short Easter trip!!!
