A MUST SEE when in Cologne. Private cars and a moving tribute to the great Formula 1 driver, Michael Schumacher. Parking is cheap, 1,8€/ hour, first 45 minutes free.

If you love cars or motorsports then you have to come here.

It was very crowded today, but Motoworld is recommended. Great vintage cars and a lot of beautiful sports cars. There is always something to satisfy both small and large appetites.

Very poorly organized – big disappointment at the start of the season We were really looking forward to the season opening at Motorworld Cologne, but unfortunately the organization was a disaster. Yes, there were a lot of cars there - a lot of them - but the entry criteria were completely arbitrary. A car meet of this type is usually about showing off special or rare vehicles. But today it seemed more like coincidence. Normal, everyday cars were allowed in, while really cool and special cars had to stay outside. A classic Impala, for example, was turned away, while just about every Porsche - no matter how ordinary - was simply waved through just because "Porsche". What was even more frustrating was that there were no clear rules. Some supposedly had to have a reservation, others didn't - even for the same vehicle category. We were there with friends, with similar cars, but got completely different opinions. It seemed as if the people at the entrance had no idea about cars - worse, there was simply no recognizable system. Who was allowed in was purely a matter of luck. The cars that weren't allowed in were sent to the IKEA parking lot - and at some point that was the better Car Meet! Suddenly there were more interesting and special vehicles than on the actual site. Really a shame and very disappointing. Hopefully this will be better organized in the future - it's no fun like this.

I liked it, it was unusual. I especially liked the collection of Michael Schumacher's sports journey 👍🏆

Absolutely recommended! I've been there twice and will go again. There are different cars to see every time. It's a shame that there isn't anything like that at home in Hamburg.

This is an absolutely amazing car museum that will delight any car enthusiast. And the best part is that it's completely free, and parking is easy to find nearby.

Nice car exhibition, including Michael Schuhmacher exhibits, very interesting and free. The former airport is a good place to visit and there is a lot to learn about it. There is a shop with motorsport items, a Michael Schuhmacher shop and numerous restaurants + hotel. My husband and I really liked it 👍, so we're happy to leave 5 ⭐ there ❣

The exhibition is really worth seeing. There are two restaurants in the exhibition and others around it. But we didn't try them out. But they looked very inviting. Exhibition and the first 45 minutes of parking are free.

We had a company event at Motorworld. Cool atmosphere with very nice cars and a great collection of F1 cars and many other exhibits related to Michael Schumacher.

Even as a non-car and motorsport fan, I found the atmosphere funny. Breakfast was good and with a large selection. I also found the themed restaurants to be very nice. Especially if you like the USA of the earlier years (James Dean).

Motorworld is located on the grounds of the old Butzweilerhof Airport. There you can tour the old airport building. A vintage airplane, an old fire engine, and much more still stand as a memento, along with much more. Admission to Motorworld is free. You can see expensive cars and Michael Schumacher's personal exhibition. If you're a Formula 1 fan, it's worth it. Otherwise, you can drive Mario Kart. Unfortunately, it wasn't open because there was an event going on, not fans. You won't go hungry, either. There are several restaurants in the buildings.

Very nice to spend a few great hours there. Great setup, especially with the Formula 1 vehicles. You can also eat and drink there, and the free entry tops it all off 😊

Lots of great, impressive sports cars, hypercars. There is a lot to discover!

3 stars for the location, 1 star for the arbitrary security staff. We would be forced to hand in our thin summer jackets at the cloakroom for a fee, while other people with thicker jackets and sometimes even backpacks were waved through, right in front of us. The same picture in the hall itself. With ticket prices north of 100 euros, I expect better staff. By the way, the hall was too cold for a T-shirt. I would also not recommend buying places that are too cheap because only the last approx. 10 rows are raised, so visibility in the middle/rear area is very limited.

A very interesting exhibition without admission for car fans. We were there for a concert and really enjoyed the stay.

Yes, it was very nice, and you had free entry, a must for anyone interested in cars, most of the cars are on display from private people. Drive there and be amazed.

Highly recommended. Good restoration businesses, attached hotel, a junited auto glass specialist shop, a car workshop, merchandising shop and a great car museum and shoemaker Ferrari exhibition. Ample parking for a small fee. Great ambience.

We were here for the "Jeck am Butz" event on Women's Carnival. The location is great for a party like this. Catering was also good, and there are good public transportation connections.

Great place for moto-fans for a weekend, variety of cars is pretty casual here, from 1970 cars to 2024, u can come visit the place for free but u need to buy entrance for the parking lot, the disadvantage of this place is that souvenirs are pretty expensive. 4 out of 5

We got to know the hotel with all its amenities. Despite the carnival, it was super relaxed and the Spanish American style breakfast was simply sensational. The staff was super friendly and the rooms were exactly to our liking. The beds were really wonderful to sleep in.

Motorworld is a remarkable destination for car lovers. Free entry!! (Mon-Sat). It showcases impressive classic and luxury cars, also few 2 wheelers. Above all, Michael Schumacher Private Collection, a permanent exhibition honoring the legendary Formula 1 driver. It exhibits Schumacher's illustrious career, displaying his race cars, trophies, and personal memorabilia are awesome. One of the place to visit when you go to Cologne

Very interesting and culinary diverse.

I took my husband, who loves cars, and he loved it like a child :) I think it was a really good decision to go. There were a lot of things to see, and the food at the restaurant inside Motor World was delicious!

Good area to do different things. Furniture dealers nearby, at the Motorworld itself there are various restaurants for every taste and you can also easily go to the events, look at the cars, etc. Not the cheapest, but really good quality everywhere.

Very nice mix of restaurants and exhibitions of all kinds of cars. A must for Michael Schumacher fans anyway, due to the exhibition of his cars, helmets and trophies. Absolutely recommended for free entry, but in a direct comparison I think the Classic Remise in Düsseldorf is better.

If you live nearby and the weather isn't good, you can take the kids there and look at some expensive cars that are probably more expensive than your own Lada Samara. There is also a playground in the area, which is ideal for letting off steam beforehand. The Motorworld now has four restaurants where you can have a bite to eat - in terms of price, these are in the middle to higher segment. Entry to the location is also free and parking is available, although this is subject to a charge.

Very nicely done. Schumacher collection is worth seeing. However, the Motoreorld is worth a trip just because of the very good test results.

A place of pilgrimage for Michael Schumacher fans The old Butzweilerhof airfield has been extensively restored. The Bauhaus architecture is worth seeing. The original airport building with its halls was expanded to include a modern 2-story hangar and the V-8 Hotel. The new buildings carefully adapt to the existing buildings and are also used as event locations. The surrounding houses in the up-and-coming district are also stylishly coordinated with the historic airport building. There is a vintage car center in the building complex. Classic vehicles are repaired, traded and exhibited there. There are also boutiques with corresponding offers. The glass box garages are similar to those in the Classic-Remise in Düsseldorf, which is located in a historic roundhouse. Motorworld's range of vehicles cannot keep up. The people of Cologne score points with the “Michael Schumacher Private Collection” and very good restaurants. After visiting the exhibition, which is free of charge, you can choose between a bar, bistro and premium steakhouse. Motorworld attracts visitors from all over the world. An absolute must for Schumacher fans.

Great location with some beautiful vintage cars, but also current super sports cars. The permanent Michael Schumacher exhibition is a MUST for every FAN! Entry is free! The attached restaurant is also recommended.

We saw the musical footloose .it wasn't badly done, but the spark didn't fly. It's really a shame...

We watched Beauty and the Beast, the musical was great. Showman great. Parking situation, well, seats 1/5 stars. The stage was a bit low, since almost all the seats were at ground level, many taller people could hardly see anything.

The Motorworld itself is great, we can't recommend the hotel for the high price, I will also create a review for this with the reasons. There is a flight simulator in Motorworld that you can book and there are beautiful cars there that you can look at for free (see pictures). Everything is very nicely set up. The restaurant selection is also great. One star deducted because the Motorworld in Munich is nicer, bigger and has a larger selection of restaurants and flight simulators.

A nice place to spend time with the family and have a delicious meal. You should treat yourself to a tour of the Michael Schumacher level. You then understand the legend's enthusiasm for motorsport 🏁

This event and the location were not worth the entrance fee

I saw Beauty and the Beast here today. The production is really beautiful, the cast is great, a clear recommendation. The organization on site is also great. Then why 2 stars? Our stalls only allowed us to see anything on stage because we are taller than average. The chairs creak all around you and the sound is ok, but not great. This is simply not enough for a 90 euro event, despite the great musical.

Best in the area. Rooms very comfy and clean, selection of restaurants as well as museum attached which is free. Elevator is hilarious. Good value.

We bought tickets to the musical “Beauty and the Beast”. The organization is audacious and UNREASONABLE!!! We were there on time 40 minutes before the show started, no parking on site, you were sent to Ikea. Of course this only means traffic jams and a 10 minute walk. You won't get anything on site and will only be told to hurry up. I have never experienced such poor organization! We will never come here again for any event!!!

Musical Beauty and the Beast. I definitely can't recommend this!!!!! I don't even know where to start... I'm so disappointed. That had absolutely 0.0000 things to do with the musical. Since when is Belle called Bella? Since when does she have two sisters? Since when has there been a fairy? Since when did it become about a light instead of a rose? And something like that for the 30th anniversary too. None of the characters were there except for the feather duster. I can't understand it. I didn't know a single song. The musical actors fit their roles perfectly and with a little rehearsal a school class could have pulled it off. You couldn't see anything because the chairs were just rows of chairs. The stage set for the barrel and then for a price of 107€/ticket. The whole piece was rattled off and we weren't there for quite 2 hours including the break. Every single person complained and was extremely disappointed. So I would be deeply ashamed if I set up something like that, asked for so much money and then put such a piece of crap behind it. The Disney castle is even shown on the tickets, but it had nothing to do with the Disney version and was probably the French version. To me it borders on fraud.

Top location! Definitely recommend a day trip. Beautiful cars, the story of Michael Schumacher, and the steakhouse is of course also an attraction.

Found by chance. Great location! But I wouldn't watch a musical in the hangar anymore. Atmosphere like in a school auditorium... Top restaurants and simply a great ambience in the car hall.

I don't have a "contract with fast cars", but the exhibition is really worth seeing, and above all, it's free 👍🏻 There is a large parking lot right in front of the door, and the surrounding restaurants are also highly recommended.

The Michael Schumacher exhibition is great. There is a lot to see here, unfortunately the restaurants were closed due to Corona We were here for the musical on February 15, 2025. That's why it was very well attended. Free entry to Motorworld. We found the gastronomy excellent.

Always worth a visit no matter what the occasion.

The lower floor has a variety of cars, old and new. From the beauties locked in the glass cases stored 3 high to the ones displayed at ground level, although not massive it is easy to spend a good hour admiring them. There are brand new vehicles on display from Maserati and Lotus. There are shops for refreshments, eateries for sit-down dining and shops for memorabilia, merchandise, and models. Alcoholic and non-alcholic beverages are served. The vehicles on the lower floor are not permanent and may change with time. If you visit on Weekends, please be aware that some parts are closed so you will not get the full experience. The upper floor is a glorious time capsule, displaying artifacts and formula racers solely driven and used by the legendary Michael Schumacher. Helmets, Suits, Gloves, Trophies, even a Formula Ford from the late 1980s. Entry is free. Simply turn up and walk in. There is a coat storing service available for 3 Euro per jacket. Toilets (themed!) are available, and they ask for 0.50 Euro to use them, though there are no barriers. They trust us to honour it. This is a must-see for any visiting (or local) petrolhead/Schumacher fan.
