“The woman who owns the restaurant is not friendly to the customers at all.”

So unfortunately I didn't like it! It's very expensive there for what you get! But if you like Persian food, you're in good hands there.

We celebrated our engagement at Mana Restaurant and couldn't be happier! From the warm welcome to the loving care from the entire team – the service was simply perfect. We were completely impressed by the diverse Iranian specialties. The stylish atmosphere and the loving decor made the evening unforgettable. A very big thank you to the entire Mana team for this completely successful evening and the wonderful support of our special celebration!

We discovered this restaurant while driving past. It's a bit hidden in the commercial area. We were curious and tried it out. And we were very impressed. We ordered homemade iced tea “Orient”, with Persian herbs. Delicious. We then ordered the starter Borani Bademjan, which is yoghurt with eggplant and walnuts, and the grill plate for two people as the main course. Everything was extremely tasty, everything was fresh. Finally, there was black tea with rose water on the house. The service was very friendly and explained everything to us and made recommendations. The restaurant is very nicely decorated. We were completely satisfied and definitely not the last time there.

We had reserved a table for four people in the Mana restaurant by telephone. However, we were only offered a table in the covered but cold outdoor area, although there were still several tables inside. When asked, we were told that these had already been reserved for other guests - unfortunately we were not informed of this when we made the reservation by telephone. If we had known that, we might have made different decisions. For this reason we didn't accept the table and left the restaurant. We were happy with the food and service on previous visits, but hope that management will be more transparent about reservations in the future.

Our dishes were pre-cooked by the kitchen and only warmed up briefly before serving. Price/performance is not right. But service was top and friendly. Ambience about as authentic as a Chinese restaurant.

The food was very expensive, but compared to other restaurants serving the same cuisine, it wasn't really anything special. The staff didn't speak German, but we were able to communicate. The restaurant is nicely decorated, though.

Took a trip here for a 2nd valentine day dinner. We were shown straight to a table, sorted out with drinks as we looked over the menu, the waiter a well mannered gentleman came when we had decided to take our order and it seemed like 5 minutes later returned with a massive platter of food for us to enjoy. The meal itself was absolutely delicious, unfortunately we did manage to eat most of it and not leave any space for a pudding. The restaurant was clean and busy but not overly loud or crowded and we were very pleased on our short journey home. 10/10

The food is very tasty. However, the portions are very small and the price is absolutely disproportionate. Kubideh is made from the cheapest ingredients such as minced meat and rice. For 17 EUR you can at least expect the portions to fill you up.

If I could I would give 6 stars. We went there for the first time yesterday, even though we've wanted to go there for so long. And now I'm annoyed because we've missed something so wonderful. Inconspicuous from the outside, especially in the dark, and in the “industrial area” of Marsdorf, you wouldn't expect what we were served there. You first step into the garden, with lots of small seating options, which I imagine would be wonderful in the summer. Then you go in and you are greeted by a wonderfully cozy atmosphere and extremely friendly staff. You immediately feel welcome. The map is clear but so special. There are also a few vegetarian and three or four vegan dishes. There are various meat skewers with rice, braised dishes, salads and various starters, cold and warm, as well as heavenly desserts. As a starter you are automatically served thin bread (similar to wraps) and dip as well as vegetables and fresh herbs. My salad with goat cheese was beautifully presented and tasted excellent. The other two had skewers (one chicken and one lamb-beef) with butter rice. For dessert, the three of us shared a pistachio dessert and it was so incredibly delicious. We'll come back immediately. The staff were so kind and accommodating. We say: See you soon! And to everyone else: definitely go there!

The staff was very rude and unfriendly towards us and unfortunately we had animal hair in our food. After eating we felt bad and had nausea. If your health is important to you, don't go to this restaurant. Very unprofessional treatment of guests.

Super tasty Persian dishes, large portions. Attentive service

We were there yesterday, on Valentine's Day. When we made our reservation we were told on the phone that there would be live music and a three-course menu. Instead it was a closed party with a DJ playing very loud music. Each of our dishes arrived cold and the fun wasn't cheap. Unfortunately I wouldn't go there again.

Mixed feelings. Went there for dinner and live music on Saturday evening. First impression nice ambience but cool. Unfortunately we had to sit in the middle because there were 10 of us and there was only one big table. This meant that you would constantly be stamped on by some waiter or other person. The music also got so loud over the course of the evening that I was glad when we left. The food was okay, luckily my wife wasn't hungry so we just got enough from the plate for 55 euros. With Iranians you usually always get a lot of rice and little meat, which is no different here and is therefore normal. It was a shame that the rice didn't have any tadik (rice crust). There is no sauce, jugurt, tzatziki or anything like that with the meat and rice. Just a piece of butter. Although the meat was reasonably juicy, it wasn't fun to eat so dry. You can order jugurt as a starter, but it's not cheap either. The grilled tomato is black on the outside, which is appropriate, but unfortunately the inside is still hard and not particularly warm. Over the course of the evening I asked myself why Iranians eat here. My guess is that people just come for the music. The music was very good for my taste, old songs, new songs, mixed songs, songs sung live, etc. Very varied. There was a lot of dancing and the atmosphere was good. All in all, I and the others wouldn't come back because of the food. I don't think the price/performance ratio is appropriate when you compare it with food from other countries. If you want to eat Persian grilled dishes, you will find one of the best in the Cologne area here. In total we had 108 euros on the bill for 2 people with drinks without starters including music.

Ms. Manije (I hope I spelled it correctly) welcomed us very politely! The food tastes like mom's at home and that's saying something!!! Bravo!!! I have also eaten in other Persian restaurants. Mana has been the best restaurant so far. The portions are perfectly fine and the quality of the meat is excellent. Even the lamb did not have the smell of her own. Not everyone can do that. The starters a dream! Very, very family atmosphere - a complete success! Thank you very much!!!

We went to Mana Restaurant for the first time today and we really enjoyed it! We shared a few starters and then each ordered a main course, which is exactly what I would recommend to everyone, as a main course alone wouldn't have filled us up if we were very hungry. But since we like to try several things anyway, it was perfect with the starters :) especially the "Kal Kabab" cream was really tasty. For the main course I had the pieces of lamb fillet with pomegranate pulp and chopped walnuts and I'm still very impressed with it! The saffron rice served with it was also perfect. We can also highly recommend the teas! Overall, we enjoyed it very much and we would love to come back!

My rice with the lamb shank was also really very good, the meat was tender as butter and fell apart from being knocked into the delicious broth. Anyone who has ever been to Iran or a neighboring country like Tajikistan will feel transported to this country. In a kind of park there is a Persian garden pavilion that looks like it comes from another world. A lot of it is improvised, and maybe there is instead There are only two dishes on the menu to choose from - but they are extremely tasty and served with amazing hospitality. Follow the kitchen's recommendations. The prices are more than fair. I was here for the first time, but definitely not the last.

We went to the restaurant for the first time last night and celebrated a friend's birthday. We all enjoyed the food very much and the quality was significantly better compared to other Persian restaurants in Cologne. The service was very good and the employees were all very friendly. We also liked the atmosphere - very inviting and cozy. A big plus point is the numerous free parking spaces. We'll definitely be back!

Gesternabend waren wir mit paar Freunden zum ersten Mal in Mana Restaurant. Fazit: Musik war gut. Die Bedienung an sich ebenfalls. Das Essen war nicht befriedigend. Auf Anfrage des Kellners: Alles in Ordnung? Antwortete ich sehr leise, dass ich grds. mit dem Essen nicht zufrieden bin und habe dies auch begründet. Kurz danach erschien die „Kochchefin“ und dementierte alles mit aus meiner Sicht falscher Aussagen. Alle meiner Bemühungen diese zu erklären, war sinnlos. Am Ende ging sie auch, ohne eine Entschuldigung bzw. dass beispielsweise dies in Zukunft beachtet werden würde, gar nichts. Daher haben wir uns entschieden, diesen Laden nicht mehr zu betreten. Es scheint übrigens, dass sie hier auf Kritik nicht pos. reagieren und tatsächlich nicht erwünscht ist. Daher werde ich diesen Restaurant nicht empfehlen!

Ich möchte meine extreme Unzufriedenheit und Frustration über den schockierenden Service und die respektlose Behandlung, die wir in Ihrem Restaurant erfahren haben, zum Ausdruck bringen. Schon zu Beginn unseres Besuchs fanden wir zwei Haare im Essen meiner Frau. Als wir diesen eklatanten Hygienemangel der Besitzerin des Restaurants ruhig und diskret mitteilten, erhielten wir lediglich eine müde Entschuldigung – ohne jegliches Angebot, das Essen zu ersetzen. Stattdessen brachte man uns nach etwa zehn Minuten ein Eis als "Entschuldigung", obwohl meine Frau nach diesem Vorfall verständlicherweise jeglichen Appetit verloren hatte und keinen Wunsch nach weiterer Nahrung verspürte. Der absolute Tiefpunkt ereignete sich jedoch beim Bezahlen: Zu meinem Entsetzen stellte ich fest, dass der Preis für das zurückgegebene Gericht, in dem sich die Haare befanden, dennoch berechnet wurde. Als ich freundlich Einspruch erhob, reagierte die Besitzerin des Restaurants in einem herablassenden und unverschämten Ton. Sie befahl der Kassiererin, die Kosten für das Essen "einfach zu streichen", bestand jedoch darauf, dass das Eis bezahlt werden müsse. Noch schlimmer, sie ignorierte uns vollständig und verließ uns ohne ein Wort des Abschieds oder einen Hauch von Höflichkeit. Diese demütigende Erfahrung war besonders enttäuschend, da ich an diesem Abend Gäste bewirtete, die ich seit 15 Jahren nicht gesehen hatte. Es versteht sich von selbst, dass ich unter keinen Umständen jemals wieder Ihr Restaurant betreten werde und es jedem dringend davon abrate, dort zu speisen.

Dear restaurant team, Unfortunately, we were dissatisfied with our experience. First of all, the quality of the food was very disappointing. The dishes were of inferior quality, unappealing in taste and sometimes even inedible. Only one choice of food for a very large celebration like Nowruz is really disappointing. Furthermore, we were extremely disappointed with the way we were treated as guests. It seemed like we were treated like animals instead of as paying customers who wanted to have a pleasant time at your restaurant. In particular, the statements you made at the entrance that we should be happy to have the chance to take part in the Nowruz celebration hurt us deeply and were completely inappropriate. The service and friendliness of the staff also contributed greatly to our negative impression. We were treated rudely and there was a complete lack of professionalism in the service. This further marred the entire experience and made us feel unwelcome. —> We simply threw €49 into the trash can for the Nowruz festival
