We spontaneously decided to eat there. It was a good decision – the food was delicious, and the service was quick and friendly. We'll definitely be back.

A delicious, friendly, family-run business. It's located in an industrial area, so they probably serve a lot of lunch, but everything was perfect. We were there in the evening, and because of the football match, it was surprisingly empty.

Wow, that was surprising! From the outside, it looks rather unassuming; the exterior lighting seems both intimidating and inviting. But what lay beneath the facade was an absolute highlight for me. We often eat Persian food in and around Frankfurt, but I would say I've never had such good Persian food as here. The appetizer platter and the main course were delicious and beautifully presented. The hostess was warm, friendly, and attentive in her service, something I rarely experience. I would wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant to everyone!

The dill rice with beans, topped with vegan kubideh (vegan minced meat skewers) and a Shiraz salad with khiar shur (pickled cucumbers) is especially recommended! The best Persian restaurant in Germany, and we'll definitely be back on our next visit to Cologne! 😊

Fifteen days ago, I reserved a table for 20 people for my wife's birthday, and they simply closed the restaurant without any notice. I would never recommend going there again.

How they can allocate so little space in an industrial area is a mystery to me. How they can't integrate soundproofing into a restaurant is an insult to the guests. When the restaurant is full, conversation is only possible by shouting. The service is worth minus 5 stars. First, you place the dishes on one table. The guests poke around in their food, trying to recognize their order. Then you move the food to another table. The guests complain. The dishes go to the kitchen and are slapped from a silver plate onto a white plate - served again. It takes away your appetite. If the waiters in the public area commit such gross hygiene errors, what must it be like in the hidden kitchen?

We received very courteous service. The food was very good. We had a mixed platter for two with chicken, lamb, and lamb skewers, mixed salad, flatbread, grilled tomatoes, and lemon. The price per person was approximately €24. The lamb was excellent, and the chicken wasn't overcooked. I would have perhaps expected a bit more spice. The rice was very light and juicy. The outdoor dining area could be improved a bit, but all in all, we would happily eat there again. Truly an insider tip. The cocktails were also incredibly good.

The €48 appetizer platter was absolutely not worth the price for us: a very boring selection, mostly dips, and two supposedly more elaborate warm (dip-like) dishes – which, however, tasted almost identical and differed only by a different topping. When we politely expressed our opinion, the waitress apparently couldn't understand our reasoning. The manager came back to our table later, which we initially found positive, but the conversation gave the impression that it was our own fault. What a shame, we were looking forward to a lovely evening.

We ordered berg, chenje and kebab chicken. The berg was amazing. The meat was soft and without fat, which was delicious. The chenje was also excellent, juicy without any extra fat. The chicken was also very tasty. Everything was really great. The staff was respectful and professional. Even though it was very busy, the service was really fast and the food was served very quickly. The live music was also great. Very good food, definitely try the warm starters with eggplant and mast musir, a kind of tzatziki with wild garlic. Dudje kebab and kubide are served as a single plate, definitely try it! Afterward, be sure to order black tea with nabot. Unfortunately, they charged for little things like more raw onions, etc., which I get for free at any Persian restaurant. The service, a gentleman, was also very unfriendly – ​​the good food can't be blamed for that – a shame, good cuisine, but annoyed staff.

The food was very delicious. We sat outside; for an industrial area, they created a very nice atmosphere. There's plenty of parking. We would definitely go back.

We visited the restaurant for my birthday. The food was good overall, but unfortunately, there was a problem with the order. I had specifically ordered a kebab kobideh for my one-year-old daughter because it's softer and more suitable for toddlers. Instead, we were served a kebab barg, which is far too hard for a child without teeth. When we asked for a replacement, we were told that we had ordered the wrong dish. However, I'm sure I made myself clear. Furthermore, I find it regrettable that a restaurant with a 4.8-star rating doesn't offer a gracious solution in such a situation—especially when it comes to feeding a toddler. In the end, we still had to pay for the dish. The waiter justified this by saying that the meat was very expensive and of high quality. He said that even if the order was incorrect, the dish couldn't be returned, as the financial loss would have to be borne out of pocket. This argument strikes me as uncustomer-friendly and suggests poor management. Overall, we were disappointed with this visit and, under these circumstances, unfortunately cannot recommend the restaurant.

The service in the restaurant is really great, all the employees are very attentive and friendly. The food is OK, but unfortunately not exceptional. Given the relatively high prices, I would have thought it would have been nice if they had at least offered a small, typical starter such as bread and cheese. The competition is particularly fierce in Cologne, where there are many Persian restaurants. Mana should therefore try a little harder to stand out – especially since the location in Marsdorf is not as central as many other Persian restaurants in the city center.

We were totally thrilled! The food tasted excellent. Price-performance fits 👍 The young gentleman who served us was really great - very nice and accommodating 😊 The ambience suits Persian food. The outdoor area is beautifully designed. Kind of playful, but not too cheesy. It looked very comfortable inside too. When we are back in Cologne, we will definitely come by again 🥰

We celebrated our engagement at Mana Restaurant and couldn't be happier! From the warm welcome to the loving care from the entire team – the service was simply perfect. We were completely impressed by the diverse Iranian specialties. The stylish atmosphere and the loving decor made the evening unforgettable. A very big thank you to the entire Mana team for this completely successful evening and the wonderful support of our special celebration!

We discovered this restaurant while driving past. It's a bit hidden in the commercial area. We were curious and tried it out. And we were very impressed. We ordered homemade iced tea “Orient”, with Persian herbs. Delicious. We then ordered the starter Borani Bademjan, which is yoghurt with eggplant and walnuts, and the grill plate for two people as the main course. Everything was extremely tasty, everything was fresh. Finally, there was black tea with rose water on the house. The service was very friendly and explained everything to us and made recommendations. The restaurant is very nicely decorated. We were completely satisfied and definitely not the last time there.

We had reserved a table for four people in the Mana restaurant by telephone. However, we were only offered a table in the covered but cold outdoor area, although there were still several tables inside. When asked, we were told that these had already been reserved for other guests - unfortunately we were not informed of this when we made the reservation by telephone. If we had known that, we might have made different decisions. For this reason we didn't accept the table and left the restaurant. We were happy with the food and service on previous visits, but hope that management will be more transparent about reservations in the future.

Our dishes were pre-cooked by the kitchen and only warmed up briefly before serving. Price/performance is not right. But service was top and friendly. Ambience about as authentic as a Chinese restaurant.

Took a trip here for a 2nd valentine day dinner. We were shown straight to a table, sorted out with drinks as we looked over the menu, the waiter a well mannered gentleman came when we had decided to take our order and it seemed like 5 minutes later returned with a massive platter of food for us to enjoy. Inconspicuous from the outside, especially in the dark, and in the “industrial area” of Marsdorf, you wouldn't expect what we were served there. You first step into the garden, with lots of small seating options, which I imagine would be wonderful in the summer. Then you go in and you are greeted by a wonderfully cozy atmosphere and extremely friendly staff. You immediately feel welcome. The map is clear but so special. There are also a few vegetarian and three or four vegan dishes. There are various meat skewers with rice, braised dishes, salads and various starters, cold and warm, as well as heavenly desserts. As a starter you are automatically served thin bread (similar to wraps) and dip as well as vegetables and fresh herbs. My salad with goat cheese was beautifully presented and tasted excellent. The other two had skewers (one chicken and one lamb-beef) with butter rice. For dessert, the three of us shared a pistachio dessert and it was so incredibly delicious. We'll come back immediately. The staff were so kind and accommodating. We say: See you soon! And to everyone else: definitely go there!

Super tasty Persian dishes, large portions. Attentive service

We were there yesterday, on Valentine's Day. When we made our reservation we were told on the phone that there would be live music and a three-course menu. Instead it was a closed party with a DJ playing very loud music. Each of our dishes arrived cold and the fun wasn't cheap. Unfortunately I wouldn't go there again.

Mixed feelings. Went there for dinner and live music on Saturday evening. First impression nice ambience but cool. Unfortunately we had to sit in the middle because there were 10 of us and there was only one big table. This meant that you would constantly be stamped on by some waiter or other person. The music also got so loud over the course of the evening that I was glad when we left. The food was okay, luckily my wife wasn't hungry so we just got enough from the plate for 55 euros. With Iranians you usually always get a lot of rice and little meat, which is no different here and is therefore normal. It was a shame that the rice didn't have any tadik (rice crust). There is no sauce, jugurt, tzatziki or anything like that with the meat and rice. Just a piece of butter. Although the meat was reasonably juicy, it wasn't fun to eat so dry. You can order jugurt as a starter, but it's not cheap either. The grilled tomato is black on the outside, which is appropriate, but unfortunately the inside is still hard and not particularly warm. Over the course of the evening I asked myself why Iranians eat here. My guess is that people just come for the music. The music was very good for my taste, old songs, new songs, mixed songs, songs sung live, etc. Very varied. There was a lot of dancing and the atmosphere was good. All in all, I and the others wouldn't come back because of the food. I don't think the price/performance ratio is appropriate when you compare it with food from other countries. If you want to eat Persian grilled dishes, you will find one of the best in the Cologne area here. In total we had 108 euros on the bill for 2 people with drinks without starters including music.

Mana has been the best restaurant so far. The portions are perfectly fine and the quality of the meat is excellent. Even the lamb did not have the smell of her own. Not everyone can do that. We went to Mana Restaurant for the first time today and we really enjoyed it! We shared a few starters and then each ordered a main course, which is exactly what I would recommend to everyone, as a main course alone wouldn't have filled us up if we were very hungry. But since we like to try several things anyway, it was perfect with the starters :) especially the "Kal Kabab" cream was really tasty. For the main course I had the pieces of lamb fillet with pomegranate pulp and chopped walnuts and I'm still very impressed with it! The saffron rice served with it was also perfect. We can also highly recommend the teas! Overall, we enjoyed it very much and we would love to come back!

My rice with the lamb shank was also really very good, the meat was tender as butter and fell apart from being knocked into the delicious broth.
