I was very surprised by the conversation with the waitress. I will probably come back and I really liked the atmosphere

We ate in this restaurant 3 times with 6 people and two dogs. 2 times mega great (actually worth 6 stars) once very bad. (preferably only 1 to 2 stars) Service very friendly and helpful. Dogs were cared for directly and lovingly. As already written, twice great. Large portions, great taste. Pinpoint lasagna and pizza perfect. We don't know what went wrong last time and unfortunately it makes the rating a little worse. Steak was streaky and inedible. It was then swapped with salmon fillet which was not cooked through and no fresh side dishes were served so it was already cold. A pizza was served incorrectly and we are still waiting for the rolls we ordered. No idea what was going on. The restaurant is located on a street in the city center. You should reserve a table.

Great coffee in a nice atmosphere.

Food very good... service very attentive and friendly but poorly organized. Could save a lot of trips. For example, put the cutlery directly on the table so you don't have to ask several times and take the dirty plates with you when you come over. I think there is simply a lack of good specialists to train young people.

We were in Rinteln over the weekend and came across the Mosquito restaurant quite by chance. We received a very friendly welcome there. The food was excellent, the cocktails too 🍹🍸. We can only recommend it 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

I can praise everything here highly. Starting with the service staff, we have never experienced such friendly and motivated staff. They all joined in the fun and we felt very comfortable. We were there on Monday evening, please pass on the praise. Now for the food, we had both of them Casseroles 46+47. A very special compliment to the kitchen, it was the best casserole we have eaten so far. The finest taste and very hot. We will definitely eat at Mosquito again on our next visit to Rinteln. You deserve 6 stars!

We were there with friends, we were greeted warmly and tables were put together for us. The service was consistently friendly and often asked for requests. Our food looked very appealing and tasty to everyone and it was delicious too. In terms of price, it's totally ok these days. We will come back if the opportunity arises.

Just super super good. I also invite my friends here. Perfect food for us, very tasty and there is something for every taste and of excellent quality. Compliments also to the waitresses, very polite, attentive and quick. For us, the boss is simply an original with a lot of heart and passion. We are very happy to be your guests!!!

We've been there for 3msl now and there's nothing to complain about. Not even on public holidays, during the holidays or during peak rush times. The food and service is great! Everything was great, we would love to come back.

Nice to sit, good service, quick and attentive. Food was good, just my chicken salad wasn't that good. The chicken was grilled dry, salad was more just filling, a bit of corn and cucumber slices. Various salads would have been better. Unfortunately there was a lot of pizza cheese on top. A few slices of parmesan would be tastier.

Today we went to Mosquito again because we were hungry for burgers and fish. Before eating I thought I would write a positive review because we were always satisfied: Really delicious burgers, rustic atmosphere and great to sit outside in summer. Service was very friendly, sometimes a little more attentive would be good. All in all, a very good place to eat. ————————- BUT: This time was a total failure. The starter came before the drinks after about 10 minutes. The drinks then after about 15 minutes. It's all ok. After more than 60 minutes we asked when our main course would come. About 5 minutes later she came too. Everything's fine again. Unfortunately the burger was cold and completely fried. The bacon was not fried, but boiled. After a complaint, a new burger was immediately made without any problems, which arrived after 15 minutes. Unfortunately, we couldn't eat together because the other dish was already there (salmon steak with potatoes, was good, but only lukewarm). The second burger was hot, but also very dry and the bacon was again more cooked and limp than fried and crispy. The waiter asked again if everything was ok and tried hard. As he was clearing up, he apologized again and we politely asked if they would perhaps take our drinks on the house (a small water and an Ipanema), since the second burger wasn't as ordered and we had to eat separately. There was no response to this. After another 25 minutes, someone finally came by the table and we could ask for the bill. We had been sitting there for 1 hour and 50 minutes, drinks had been empty for a long time and no one had made any move to refill them during the entire time. Of course you don't make any sales that way. After another 10 minutes there was still no bill, so we asked inside. The bacon (1€) was taken off the bill. The boss then had to be questioned for another friendly request as to whether the drinks were on the house due to the faulty burger plus the long waiting time plus the separate meal (again: we're talking about a small amount of water and an Ipanema). He came to our table. At such a volume that the entire restaurant immediately fell silent and listened, he then barked, “So you’re not happy and don’t want to pay for the drinks?” We asked that he speak more quietly, which he refused because the (non-existent) music was too loud and he always spoke so loudly. Okay, then we continued the conversation loudly and audibly for the entire restaurant. Explained everything again and said that we were always happy and that something went wrong today. Yes, the store was full due to good weather. But as a guest there's nothing I can do about it. If you are friendly and point it out, I completely understand. But if I am paraded loudly in front of the entire restaurant and then I am accused of being the only complaint in the entire week and everyone is happy, then something is going wrong. How does this man deal with his employees when he so insults his guests who express completely objective criticism? He then even pointedly asked the next table if they were happy. When we asked if he thought we would want to come back again, he said we were welcome to stay away and didn't have to come back. Too bad. Something went wrong, it can happen. How much does a water and an Ipanema cost you when shopping? Generously estimated 4€ maybe? Is it worth alienating a guest who always likes to come back and at the same time demonstrating to all guests throughout the restaurant how criticism is handled? Maybe the other owners see things differently and treat their guests differently and are a little more critical and customer-oriented. You really don't need anything like what you did today. Neither as people nor as entrepreneurs.

After a long bike ride, we fortified ourselves here with a delicious meal in a cozy atmosphere. The menu is extensive and there should be something for everyone. I had the spare ribs - highly recommended. We'd love to come back.

Ambience simply great. Extends over several floors. As you move up, the space becomes smaller and more intimate. Cleanliness completely fine. I like it. What doesn't fit, however, are elephants, gorillas and the like. Somehow it doesn't fit the topic. What wasn't so great: There was only one napkin per person. Tea lights that were supposed to serve as mood lighting were all burnt down and empty. Tables wobbled alarmingly. Food was OK. However, a bit too expensive for the quality provided. (Angus Burger Paddie was very gristly). Service? Oh well. In contrast to my last visit, not so great. Longer waiting time for the starter and also for the main course. Dessert and drinks went quickly. What didn't work was the White Russian cocktail. I have rarely seen or tasted anything more loveless. In general, perhaps consult someone who is not blind to the operation and can point out weak points. We'll definitely come by again anyway. If only to see if things have gotten better again.

After a bad experience in another restaurant, you're happy that things are different. Full marks from us. But from the beginning. Friends of ours already knew the place. So the four of us stopped there. Friendly welcome. Excellent. Service very friendly. Ordered drinks. It's all ok. They came straight away. We were able to study the menu in peace. The food came surprisingly quickly. I ordered a Pizza Royal. Very, very tasty. The price for the food was (unfortunately) reasonable for today's times. Overall, you feel welcome as a guest. If we go out to eat in Rintel again, this restaurant will be our first choice.

In itself a cozy restaurant, the food was also very tasty, but…. We waited 1 hour for our food - 2 x burgers with fries, 1x pizza - and the restaurant wasn't even half full (lunchtime). Not possible at all!!!!

A beautifully decorated restaurant with very pleasant and hardworking staff like Dauan, Neslihan, Morteza and Connor. I can only recommend this always perfect and sufficient food to everyone!

Sehr freundliches Personal, das Essen war sehr gut und lecker. Auch die Sauberkeit war in gut, obwohl es an dem Tag sehr voll war. Das Mosquito ist sehr zu empfehlen.

Wir hatten einmal den Lachsburger und den Hähnchenburger. Die Burger waren frisch zubereitet und schmackhaft. Der Frische Ingwertee dazu ist zudem perfekt zum aufwärmen. Insgesamt ist es zwar etwas teurer aber ganz solide.

Service très long, pas d'excuses et pas de geste commercial. Grosse salade correcte mais dessert très moyen ( probablement congelé)

Wir sind zu viert an einem Donnerstagabend eingekehrt und hatten einen Tisch vorbestellt. Es aßen alle den Home-made oder den Black Jack Burger mit verschiedenen Biersorten. Die Burger waren reichlich und total lecker. Als Beilagen gab es Wedges oder Süsskartoffel-Pommes. Wir waren hochzufrieden. Die Bedienung hätte öfter nach weiteren Getränken fragen können, ansonsten schönes und gemütliches Ambiente.

Es legt mitten in der alt Stadt Rinteln

Ich war früher auch mal im alten Mosquito essen und wollte mich von dem neuen nun überzeugen. Das essen war wie auch davor sehr gut und der Service, wie auch der Chef waren alle sehr nett und zu vorkommend. Den Außenbereich kann ich kann ich im Sommer auch empfehlen. Allerdings nur auf der Seite von der Kirche, ansonsten sitzt man direkt an einer kleinen Kreuzung und man kann sich, wenn man mit mehreren Leute dort ist, nicht so gut unterhalten.

Meine Thai Nudeln hatten sogar Mais. Überragend. Mais ist immer gut. Long Island sowieso stark. Eigentlich hasse ich mosquitos, aber diesen liebe ich!

Immer zufrieden gewesen. Der Mittagstisch ist Preis Leistungs mäßig unschlagbar.

Essen, Cocktails und auch der Service waren super. Gerne wieder.

Tolle Location, das Gebäude steht wahrscheinlich unter Denkmalschutz und da ein Restaurant zu betreiben ist sicherlich 'ne anspruchsvolle Angelegenheit! Sehr gemütlich, Personal sehr freundlich und vor allem schnell! Habe mit einem Freund dort zu Abend gegessen. Das Hauptgericht war top - Lachssteak mit Kartoffel-Wedges - aber als Vorspeise hatte ich Bruschetta. Darunter verstehe ich frisch (!) geröstete Brotstücke mit Tomaten drauf, leider kam nur ein wabbeliges Weißbrot-Baguette in ein paar Teile zerschnitten mit etwas Tomatenstücken drauf verstreut. Aber abgesehen davon war alles gut, daher 4 Sterne!

Wir waren gerade im Mosquito zum Mittagessen. Hatten jeweils einen Burger Homemade. Das war seit langem der BESTE Burger den ich gegessen habe. Total saftig und super gebaut!!!! Und das Bison Hack? Super saftig, noch etwas Medium und klasse gewürzt. Und dazu noch eine Tolle freundliche Bedienung!! Was will man mehr? Vielen Dank für alles!! Die zwei vom Fensterplatz und danke für den "süßen" Nachtisch Chef!

Bin Sonntag zum ersten Mal hier gewesen. Das Lokal hat mir total gut gefallen. Auch der Service war top. Die Speisekarte bietet eine vielfältige Auswahl, sodass hier jeder fündig wird. Ich habe mich für eine Pizza entschieden. Die Pizza war sehr lecker, auch wenn ich schon bessere Pizzas gegessen hatte. Aber natürlich auch deutlich schlechtere. Wenn ich noch mal in der Nähe sein sollte, werde ich dieses Restaurant gerne wieder besuchen.

Schönes Ambiente in der Innenstadt von Rinteln direkt an Kirchplatz. Sitzmögluchkeiten innen wie außen gemütlich und laden zum verweilen ein. Speisen und Getränke wurden freundlich und zügig serviert obwohl es gut besucht war. Küche und Serice topp. Saubere und helle Toiletteräume um Obergeschoss! Geringe Parkplätze vor und um das Haus, wegen der zentralen Lage in der Innenstadt. Mir hat es gefallen, ich komme bestimmt wieder.

Ich bin früher wirklich sehr sehr gerne ins Mosquito gegangen. Der Service war gut, die Speisekarte und Preise waren auch nicht zu bemängeln. Mittlerweile hat das alles aber nachgelassen. Der Service wirkt nicht mehr wirklich professionell, je nachdem wen man "erwischt" sogar ein bisschen unfreundlich (rein subjektive Wahrnehmung!) und die Preise sind nun leider sehr angestiegen. Zwischen 1-5 € wirds nun teurer. Pizzen sind durchschnittlich 4 € teurer geworden, Salate um die 2 € und Cocktails jeweils 1 €. Schade auch, dass teilweise die die Grundzutaten gänzlich ausgetauscht wurden (z.B. bei den Aufläufen) oder Sachen ganz gestrichen wurden (z.B. Cocktails). Wie gesagt, früher war der Laden einer meiner Lieblingslocations, da man dort wirklich gut und preislich angemessen essen konnte. Aber das hat sich leider zum negativen verändert. Zum Glück gibt es auch noch andere Locations in Rinteln, sodass man nicht zwingend aufs Mosquito angewiesen ist. Zudem fehlt mir persönlich leider der Hinweis bei den Gerichten auf Inhaltsstoffe, Lebensmittelunverträglichkeiten und co (z.B. Glut:-)en, Laktose etc.). In der heutigen Zeit sicher auch kein Problem, dass mit auf die Speisekarte zu packen. Anderswo klappt das ja auch ;-)

Wir (ich) und meine Mädels wollten einen super netten Abend verbringen... hatten wir auch bis das Essen kam .... das sah aus wie Hundefutter im Napf sorry das ich das so sagen muss aber es sind Tatsachen , wir hatten die (49) Surf and Turf , es stand rinderstreifen drin gefühlt waren das keine Streifen sondern ne ganze Kuh (sehr blutig ) Wir hatten und bezüglich auf das Rind aufmerksam gemacht und freundlich bescheid gegeben das es nicht so sein darf .... sonst müsste es einfach in der Karte mit stehen das es Medium bis blutig ist ....naja die nudeln waren sehr verkocht es waren keine tigergarnelen sonstern schrimps als wir bescheid geben hatten, war die eine Kellnerin so dreist uns mit einem Kaffee zu entschuldigen .. was gar nicht geht das Gericht kostet 17.90 €sehr sehr teuer für nichts .... naja nach dem bezahlen und raus gehen , haben die Kellner über uns geredet was gar nicht geht wir wurden von den begafft wie im Zoo.... Eins sage ich dort, gehe ich nie wieder essen da ist mir mein Geld viel zu schade für ...

Meine Frau und ich, wir waren schon mehrfach im Mosquito (bisher immer alles ok), aber heute zum letzten Mal. Grund: Es gibt keine Speisekarten! Wir sollen doch den QR-Code auf den Tischen verwenden. Wie soll das gehen, wenn man kein Handy dabei hat? Angeblich sind Speisekarten mit den Corona-Regeln nicht kompatibel. Aber das war nur eine Ausrede, solche Regeln gibt es gar nicht. Wir sind dann 100 Meter weiter gegangen in ein anderes Restaurant. Dort gab es Speisekarten in großer Zahl, auf jedem Tisch lag mindestens eine! Dort konnten wir uns in Ruhe etwas aussuchen, und es wurde doch noch ein gelungener Abend. Auch ohne Mosquito.......
