Very good hotel with great service, good food and great breakfast. We felt very well looked after here and would happily come back again.

Great location, very attentive and friendly staff. The furnishings are very modern and fit perfectly into the old half-timbering. Due to the high demand (probably because of the Great Weser Circuit) a bit expensive for Rinteln and 3 stars. We'll definitely be back! Update 2024: we were there again and were thrilled again :) you receive a friendly welcome, the rooms are modernly furnished and have a very appropriate style that can be found everywhere in the house. The breakfast is very diverse: a generous selection of cheeses, delicious sausage variations, a wide selection of fruit and vegetable juices, fresh fruit, fresh egg dishes, a good selection of rolls and bread. There are no wishes left unfulfilled. Unfortunately we didn't try out the high-quality gastronomy this time - but maybe next time :) we'll be back!

Ambitionierte und sehr gute Küche. Klassische Basis, kreative Ansätze, schön angerichtet. Der Sevice sehr präsent, freundlich, etwas steif. Die Jakobsmuscheln mit Mango, Koriander, Karotte, einem Zitrusschaum wunderbar, der Kaabeljau mit Queller, Pak Choi, Muschelsauce auch sehr gelungen, das Himbeer-Sorbet sehr gut, das Orangen-Safran Sorbet wow, der Gastraum und der Außenbereich auf der Klosterstraße sehr schön, leidet am Donnerstagabend nicht sehr gut besucht. Preise ok, Wein recht teuer. Ein schöner Abend Hotel und Restaurant sind eine Zierde für Rinteln. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

The double rooms are pleasant and spacious, the single rooms are a little cramped, breakfast has a huge variety of foods that provide a rich and complete meal for any age, all the hotel staff were very friendly, always with a smile on their faces . The hotel seems historic to me and is well located in the city center. The negative point was the very weak Wi-Fi, sometimes non-existent, in general it was a pleasant stay.

The Fachwerk restaurant in the hotel is highly recommended. Firstly, the service was excellent. The dishes we ordered were well prepared and the taste was very good.

Good hotel with friendly staff. It is centrally located and there are enough free parking spaces, including charging stations. Delicious large breakfast buffet, thorough room service. On the ground floor there is a public restaurant with attractive food and good wine. The hotel is owner-managed and therefore great attention is paid to the well-being of the guests. Gladly again!!!

The food, atmosphere, ambience and service are hard to beat. We will be back definitely. A must if you live in Rinteln or are a guest.

Last week I spent two nights at the Hotel Stadt Kassel and ate at the Fachwerk restaurant on both evenings. The entire stay was characterized by the friendliness and hospitality of the Brand family and the entire team. Particularly noteworthy is the restaurant with excellent food, where Mr. Brand's advice delivers on the promise of the phenomenal wine list!

We had dinner in the Fachwerk restaurant again... and, as always, the result was great and delicious. The kitchen worked magic, the ambience was great, and the wine left nothing to be desired. We'd love to come back.

My husband and I spent 2 nights in the hotel. The room was ready in a timely manner and was very comfortable. There is a small balcony, which in our case looked out into the backyard. But that's not a negative point at all. The room was easy to darken. Furthermore, the room is very well insulated from noise, neither the church bells nor other noises came through when the window was closed. The mattress was a bit too hard for us. The breakfast buffet is sufficiently stocked and the staff is very attentive. There is something for every wish, and there is also something for vegetarians. Parking lot is large. The hotel is located in the old town, with various options for exploring on foot. Smaller cafés as well as shops and restaurants can be found directly. Was a very nice stay!

Centrally located hotel in the pretty old town of Rinteln. Room was clean and met our expectations. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Since I always wake up early in the morning (master baker), it wasn't a problem that I got a cup of coffee before breakfast started. When it comes to breakfast, we already have my particularly positive review!! We have a 3 star hotel here with a loving, rich breakfast buffet enhanced with regional products. We have had much worse breakfasts in 4* and 5* hotels. Here too the lady was very friendly and attentive...thank you

Great location and very lovely dining areas. We had an amazing experience in the club room for a birthday party. The food was absolutely delicious. I can recommend the roast beef, it was perfectly cooked and seasoned. The wine menu is very impressive and the server always made sure our glasses were full 😁 the breakfast buffet is also very good and full of different options. I appreciate that the food is fresh, local, and often organic. You can taste the difference and we would come back just to eat here again! The rooms are fine but nothing special. We had a little balcony which was nice and there was also a mini fridge. The bed was decently comfortable and the shower was also just okay. As another reviewer mentioned, there are no tissues and the rooms are a bit sparse for the price. The chocolate on the bed was a nice touch but other than that all that's provided is hand soap, shampoo, and shower gel. The location and the rest of the hotel make up for the average rooms!

The location of the hotel is great: in the middle of Rinteln's old town, but quiet and with plenty of parking and charging options for bikes and cars. Our room was modernized, simply and modernly furnished and perhaps a little too sparse for the price (weak WiFi (3Mb/s), quite dark, no tissues/hygiene bags, no choice of pillows) but ok for a short stay. The breakfast buffet was very rich and a perfect start to the day. In the evening we visited the hotel's own restaurant and it was an absolute discovery for us in terms of the wine list and menu. The staff in the hotel and restaurant are friendly and helpful. We'd love to come back!

This review refers to the restaurant: We ate there with 14 people. Everything was perfect, the food, value for money, the ambience and the friendliness of the staff.

We stayed overnight here on the Weser bike tour, which we booked online about 4 hours before arrival. The closer you got to Rinteln from the south, the more often you saw hotel advertising boards along the way inviting cyclists to stop at the hotel. So all is well and looking forward to what may come. Despite the absolute city center location, the overnight stay was very quiet, the room was comfortable with its own balcony and the staff was friendly, nice and competent. The bikes could be stored well and safely in the bike room. Why not full marks? We booked 1 double room for 2 people and when we moved in it was only prepared for 1 guest. This was corrected immediately, but this one/half star deduction for me.

The rating refers solely to the restaurant. We had a very pleasant evening. The bread was great with the spread and we also really enjoyed the soup with parsnips from the kitchen. The duck ravioli were very tasty and the Rintelner kraustchen was great. The fries were totally fine, tasted great and maybe needed a little color. The fried potatoes were perfect. The rump steak was great and the side dish of corn on the cob wasn't needed. In our opinion, the salad could perhaps have used a little more dressing. Thank you for the great evening, we will definitely be back. We really liked the wine selection and received great advice.

Below average in every respect - we really didn't like anything here. The room was - to put it politely - tasteless, cheap and ugly, and the WiFi kept crashing. Not acceptable for these prices. Absolute crowning glory: The extremely unfriendly older gentleman at the reception already had a clear hint of alcohol in the morning. If anything is to be improved here, the first thing that needs to be done is to show this man (because of his particularly stupid and outrageous behavior his name should be mentioned here: LUTZ KRÜGER-BRAND)......He can't do it!! In any other hotel, this rude guy would probably be cleaning the toilets... Unbelievable that this person works in the service area of ​​a hotel. An employee said to me behind closed doors: "a country bumpkin who has sat down in the nest he made!" If this LUTZ KRÜGER-BRAND were a funeral director, the customers would probably stop dying. Unbelievable behavior and behavior! Conclusion: absolutely inadequate. What good is a “family and owner-managed” hotel, which is supposed to be the pride of the owners, if SOMETHING like this comes out of it?! Never go here again!!

Hotel Stadt Kassel ist stets meine erste Wahl, wenn ich in Rinteln bin. Schöne Zimmer, alles sauber, gutes Frühstück und sehr freundliche Geschäftsleitung und Mitarbeiter. Schade nur, dass ich überhaupt nichts von Wein verstehe.

Wir waren sehr zufrieden mit dem Hotel, der Lage, dem Essen und dem Personal. Alle super freundlich und zuvorkommend. Haben zum Abschied noch ein super leckeres Pesto 😋 bekommen. Total lieb. Vielen lieben Dank

Wir waren richtig enttäuscht . Die Inhaberin war sehr unfreundlich weil wir nach 2Std. warten auf unser Essen mal gefragt haben wann es denn endlich kommt. Da weitere ca 60 Gäste das gleiche Problem mit ihrer Unfreundlichkeit hatten und wir mit denen nicht in Kontakt stehen lag es wohl nicht an uns. Negative Bewertungen gibt es ja genug.

1A Service, 1A Zimmer, 1A Lage - Wir sind immer glücklich, wenn wir oder Kollegen dort übernachten.

Wir waren mit 24 Personen zur Weihnachtsfeier hier. Tolles Ambiente, leckeres Essen und sogar 3 Hauptgänge zum spontan entscheiden. Klasse Service und als kleines Highlight am Ende noch schön die hauseigene Kegelbahn bespielt. Die Preise sind auch total fair. War klasse. Wir kommen wieder.

Wir waren mit einer Gruppe von 11 Personen vor Ort. Wir hatten am ersten Abend einen Tisch im Restaurant des Hotels reserviert. Die Reservierung haben wir auf anraten des Restaurantpersonals extra früh auf 18:30 gesetzt , damit wir nicht so lange warten müssten. Leider wurde unser Essen dann doch erst nach 2 stündiger Wartezeit serviert. Auf Nachfrage unsererseits, haben wir eine sehr unfreundliche Rückmeldung des Personals erhalten . Die uns sehr unfreundlich und fast schon unverschämt zurechtwies, das wir es je verkraftet hätten, so lange zu warten. Die Qualität des Essens war ok.

Chambre sur la rue. Réveil avant 6h assuré. Le matelas était inconfortable et aurait dû être changé il y a plusieurs années. Il en va de même avec les oreillers qui sont hors d'âge. En revanche l'hôtel est situé en plein centre historique et possède un parking.

Das Restaurant war für uns fantastisch. Diese riesige Weinkarte!!!!! Über 40 Seiten 🤣 Wir bekamen eine kleine Spargelcreme-Suppe im Glas vom Haus ausgegeben. Ich hätte das Glas ablecken können, so lecker war es. Die Hauptspeise waren auch in Ordnung. Einige Weine durfte ich probieren und ich hatte mich dann schließlich für den Hauswein entschieden, als Flasche. Dieser Wein konnten wir am Tisch nicht austrinken, dann brachte man den Wein auf das Zimmer im Weinkühler mit zwei Gläser. Was für ein toller Service! Vielen Dank dafür.

Wir hatten einen Gutschein für dieses Restaurant erhalten und kehrten zum Mittagstisch ein, eine sehr gute Entscheidung, denn das Essen war durchgehend hervorragend. Leider hat es bei mir fast 1 Jahr gedauert um diese Bewertung zu schreiben, darum ist auch die Speisekarte von damals "gut-bürgerlich" zu "modern-leicht" gewandelt. Die bestellten Kalbsbäckchen gehörten definitiv zu den Besten die ich jemals gegessen habe, total zart. Die Schweinemedaillons und das Rumpsteak waren auf den Punkt zubereitet, das Kalbschnitzel war ebenso ein Genuss. Die Küche legt eben Wert auf Qualität aus der Region und bereitet alles frisch zu, jedes Gericht absolut empfehlenswert! Alle zu den Gerichten servierten Beilagen und Soßen waren sehr schmackhaft und frisch. Die Vorspeise "Duett von Tomate" schmeckte ebenfalls allen Anwesenden der Familie. Die Qualität und Frische der Speisen rechtfertigt ein sehr gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Die sonnigen Tische in der Fußgängerzone erlauben den Genuss auch im Freien. Die Bedienung sehr zuvorkommend, superfreundlich und schnell, wir kommen trotz einiger Entfernung zum Wohnort garantiert nochmal hier ins Restaurant im Hotel Stadt Kassel

Wenn man die Bewertungen liest hat dieses Restaurant wohl das eine oder Auf und Ab hinter sich... Bei unserem Besuch am Samstagabend gab es jedenfalls nichts zu beanstanden: Der Schwäbische Rostbraten vom Entrecote von der Tageskarte war perfekt zubereitet, mit perfekt gerösteten Zwiebeln und sehr guten Spätzle. Auch am Boeff Stroganoff gab es nichts zu beanstanden. Das aktuelle Küchenteam liefert bürgerliche deutsche Küche auf sehr hohem handwerklichen Niveau. Für die Qualität sind die Preise absolut angemessen. Auch der nette und aufmerksame Service liess nichts zu wünschen übrig. Gerne wieder.

Besuchte Rinteln in der Mittagszeit, letzten Donnerstag. Restaurant bietet günstige Mittagsgericht, siehe Tafel am Eingang. Diesmal: Verschiedene Fischfilets, Bratkartoffeln und Vorspeisensalat 11,90 Euro Dazu Bier 0,3 Flensburger für 3,00 Euro Sehr leckerer Espresso für 2,00 Euro Alles in perfekter Qualität. Service der alten Schule. Schnell, aufmerksam aber zurückhaltend.

Wij hebben hier prima gegeten in een gezellige ambiance met de nodige halve liters. Wij sliepen ook in dit hotel. Het ontbijt is trouwens echt super lekker en voor ieder wat wils!

Ich habe hier des öfteren Sonntags zu Mittag gegessen und war stets sehr zufrieden. Bei gutem Wetter etwas Außengastronomie in der Fußgängerzone. Gutbürgerliche Küche. Klassische gediegene Inneneinrichtung. Mag manschem altmodisch vorkommen. Mir gefällt es.

Wie betraten das gemütlich-altmodische Retaurant an einem Samstag abend, es war gut gefüllt. Vor einem Jahr hatten wir hier sehr gut gegessen und freuten uns, das wieder zu tun. Von der kleinen Karte wählten wir zwei verschiedene Schnitzel, vorab eine Rinderkraftbrühe. Die Suppe kam schnell, war sehr heiß, und roch und schmeckte leider nach Maggi. Frische Gemüse-Julienne und ein Fleischklößchen. Von Kraftbrühe keine Spur, eine dünne Rinderbrühe. Das fing ja nicht so gut an. Eine Frechheit waren aber die Schnitzel, die kurze Zeit später auch kamen. Ich hatte ein Forsthausschnitzel, annonciert mit Champignon-Rahm und Bauernrösti. Dazu Blattsalate. Die Salate waren frisch und knackig, das Schnitzel ein Convenience-Produkt aus vermutlich Formfleisch, der Pilzrahm nichts anderes als ein paar Champignons mit etwas Sahne aufgegossen. Die Bauernrösti ebenfalls ein Convenienceprodukt, die mit einem frischen Rösti nichts gemein hatten. Eine Frechheit. Für die gebotene Qualität absolut überteuert. Das war unser letzter Besuch in dem Lokal.

Habe ein wirklich tolles, ganz zart gebratenes Kalbssteak mit knusprigen gut gewürzten Bratkartoffeln gegessen. Der Salat dazu war frisch und mit leckerem Dressing. Das Amuse vorweg ebenfalls lecker. Der Rotwein war schön trocken und vollmundig. Wirklich gut. Mir persönlich allerdings zu warm. Sicher weit mehr als 20 Grad. Das Fachinger als stilles Wasser einfach zu salzig und nicht geschmacksneutral genug. Generell gab es eine große exklusive aber auch preislich anspruchsvolle Weinkarte. Deutsche Weißweine durchweg um die 50 Euro die Flasche...! Auch der Kaffee danach hat mir gut geschmeckt. Insgesamt eine sehr gute Leistung.

Wir waren gestern zu Viert hier essen und waren insgesamt wirklich enttäuscht. Bestellt hatten wir Matjesfilet, Roastbeef, Schnitzel Wiener Art und geschmorte Ochsenbacke. Das einzige Gericht, welches gut zubereitet war, war das kalte Roastbeef mit Sauce Gribiche und Röstkartoffeln. Das Roastbeef war schön zart und aromatisch, die Röstkartoffeln und die Soße zwar nichts besonderes aber ganz okay. Insgesamt stimmte hier aber das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Die Ochsenbacke haben wir sofort zurückgehen lassen. Die undefinierbaren Fleischklumpen waren trocken, zäh, faserig und von Sehnen durchzogen. Schätzungsweise mehrere Tage alte Bratenreste aber mitnichten eine geschmorte Ochsenbacke. Allerdings wurde das Gericht anstandslos zurückgenommen und eine Alternative angeboten. Das Schnitzel war einigermaßen okay und wurde mit einem sehr sauren Kartoffelsalat serviert. Für den stolzen Preis von knapp 17,- war das eine sehr traurige Leistung und man kann sich als Gast nur fragen, wie für Essen auf Kantinenniveau solche Preise zustande kommen. Die Matjesfilets waren immerhin annehmbar. Am Service gab es nichts auszusetzen, unsere Bedienung war freundlich und bemüht. Wir werden hier nicht noch einmal einkehren.
