Mosquito Bar - Restaurant - Cafe in Cottbus

Wir waren im März, nach ca. 8 Jahren, wieder mal hier essen. Damals, als wir noch in Cottbus wohnten, besuchten wir regelmäßig das Mosquito. So wie damals, ist das Essen immer noch super lecker und ansprechend angerichtet😃👍🏻. Die Bedienung war freundlich und das Preis- Leistungsverhältnis passt. Gerne kommen wir wieder😊

Es war unser Anlaufpunkt für 3 Abende, wir hatten einen Hund (Labrador) dabei, welcher immer herzlich begrüßt wurde von den Kellnerinnen. Auch gab es sofort eine Schüssel mit Wasser 😋. Essen hatten wir nicht bestellt aber was serviert wurde sah lecker aus. Definitiv ein Highlight und von uns aus, immer wieder gerne.

An sich ist es ein schönes Lokal aber was mir heute nicht gefallen hat,das es mit der Musik von dem DJ viel zu laut war.Man konnte sich kaum unterhalten bzw sich auf ein Gespräch konzentrieren. Und dann das die Kellerin viel zu oft nach Getränke gefragt hat.Wir haben kaum gesessen wurde schon das erste Mal gefragt, wenige Minuten später kam eine zweite Dame und hatte uns gefragt. Fand es sich aufdringlich dieses mehrfache fragen,auch als wir gemeint hatten das wir noch auf jemanden warten, wurde nicht wirklich locker gelassen. Bin wirklich anderes vom Mosquito gewohnt und hätte das Ambiente wieder.

Überteuertes, mittelmäßiges Essen. Unordentlicher Service.

Mehrmals im letzten Monat zu verschiedenen Tageszeiten besucht, Essen lecker, Getränke toll, Ambiente super, tolles Erlebnis! Weiter so!

Sehr leckere Speise, tolle Cocktails, super Service und alles in einem für die Region einmaligen Ambiente - klare Empfehlung, beim Mosquito einzukehren und die Zeit zu genießen!

Ich fand' es heute toll. Gute Fußball-Atmosphäre und die Bedienung war bemüht, dass alles reibungslos klappt. Das hat es auch!

Das Essen ist lecker, aber die Karte seit Jahren fast identisch. Service ist zügig und freundlich. Tolle Drinks an der Bar.

Wir kam zum Mittagessen her. Die Bedingung war recht schnell da und hat die Bestellung aufgenommen. Ab da hat es aber über eine Stunde gedauert bis es Essen gab. Wir waren mit Kindern da und dafür ist die Speisekarte ungeeignet. Es gab zwar noch separat angebote Speisen, aber insbesondere die Nudeln mit Tomatensoße waren schlecht. Das rosa gebratene Schwein war, wie auch die Kartoffeln, verbrannt. Der Ramen hat diese Bezeichnung nicht wirklich verdient. Es ähnelte viel mehr einem Curry mit matschigen Nudel, als einer Nudelsuppe. Zusammengefasst: kein Restaurant Erlebnis.

Angenehm zum sitzen und sich treffen bis auf max 0,4 L Biergläser habe ich nix auszusetzen das Essen ist gut, bisl würze fehlte aber an sich.. musikalisch und vom Ambiente einzigartig in Cottbus und auf jeden Fall ein Besuch wert . Freundliches Personal, und an Sauberkeit mangelt es auch nicht.. alles 👍

Wir sind als Cottbuser, die in der Innenstadt wohnen öfters hier und sind immer sehr zufrieden. Heute Abend muss ich aber einfach mal eine Bewertung schreiben, was ich sonst meist nur bei Restaurants mache, wenn ich unterwegs bin ( so ein Quatsch eigentlich!🙈) Wir waren dermaßen begeistert heute von der lieben Kellnerin Sakar, dass wir uns einfach mal auf diesem Wege bedanken wollen. Man merkt ihre Liebe zu ihrem Beruf einfach ab der ersten Sekunde. Die Chefs vom Mosquito können sich sehr glücklich schätzen so eine tolle Mitarbeiterin zu haben. Achso, dass Essen heute und die Limo waren auch wunderbar! 😎

BeimTapas-Gericht für 2 Personen ist sehr wenig Fleisch dabei. Man könnte denken ist vegan. Rinderfilet ausgezeichnet.

Ich war mit meiner Freundin dort um Cocktails zu trinken. Ich war positiv überrascht über das Ambiente und den Vibe dort (Sound war hervorragend). Allerdings war ich negativ überrascht von den Cocktails. Der Pina Colada kam in einem Glas in Dosen Optik (anscheinend neuer Trend) und wurde nicht geschüttelt (es fehlte der Schaum), einfach nur zusammen gerührt. Die zweite Runde (hart erkämpft,da der Service sich rar machte) kam im to go Becher. Anscheinend ein Kommunikationsfehler haben wir dann mal so hingenommen. Ich wollte eigentlich einen Campari Soda stattdessen bekam ich einen Campari Spritz, ich habe ihn behalten und getrunken: Oh man, er war nicht gut (mein persönlicher Geschmack. Cocktails zubereiten ist eine Handwerks/Dienstleistungs Kunst und nicht einfach nur zusammenschütten und rühren! Es ist hier an der Bar und im Service ganz viel Luft nach oben.

Ein wirklich tolles Restaurant.

Immer einen Besuch wert. Abwechslungsreiche Karte. Im Sommer schön zum draußen sitzen. Nettes Team

Nice atmosphere, but the service wasn't very attentive and the food was just so-so...

We went there for dinner for the first time in a long while. Unfortunately, all our dishes (bruschetta, braised ox cheeks, burgers, and children's pasta) were very disappointing in terms of taste. We hope for improvement soon.

A blonde waitress with long blonde hair spilled Coke on me and then insulted us. My friend accidentally bumped into her with his arm, but that's just unacceptable…

Having heard a lot about it, it was finally time to try it out in person. Friendly service, plenty of seating options, and we sat outside under the large umbrellas, which was quiet thanks to a glass pane facing the street. The restrooms were clean, but the decor on the men's side seemed a bit... well, I don't know if the women's side is as casually suggestive. It certainly doesn't always go down well with all men. But as we know, men and women aren't the same. The food was tasty, my vegan portion a bit small, and the prices were moderate and reasonable. There are no vegan desserts at all, which is a shame, but the ice cream stand isn't far away. So: room for improvement, but definitely recommendable and delicious, also thanks to the friendly service.

The service was super friendly and attentive, the ambiance was truly lovely and cozy—you just feel at home there. The food was perfect; not only did it taste incredible, but it was also beautifully presented. All in all, a fantastic evening—highly recommended!

Really nice spot with a great atmosphere. I especially enjoy their cocktails — the Boca Chica is my favorite. The ambience is relaxed and stylish, perfect for a night out. Always a good place to come back to.🍸🍹

The food was great and the service very attentive...the only thing that was a bit disturbing was the noise level, but that's just the bar atmosphere.

The seating is comfortable here. The service is pleasant and friendly, very attentive. The food is good, with some dishes surprising with new and interesting flavors. The price-performance ratio is okay.

Mosquito is idyllically located on the Altmarkt square, nestled in the vibrant hustle and bustle of the city. Despite its central location, the outdoor area is pleasantly designed and invites you to relax. We stopped in spontaneously for a quick snack and were pleasantly surprised. The menu features a selection of coffee specialties and creative dishes. The food was very good, with only a small margin for improvement. The three waiters were consistently friendly and attentive. A lovely spot for a relaxing break in the heart of Cottbus!

I've chosen this restaurant as my favorite during my visits to Cottbus. I've always experienced very friendly and attentive staff, and I've also been completely satisfied with the food.

Great place, we really liked it.

We were at Mosquito a week ago around lunchtime. We were served quickly, and that was it. After about an hour and a half without service, we left the restaurant after paying. There were only three tables occupied in the entire restaurant. The waiters walked past us several times and looked at the empty glasses without asking if we wanted anything else. It was more important that four people could put three tables together. It's a shame, we remembered it being better. We won't be coming back like this.

We went to the Mosquito restaurant in Cottbus and were completely impressed. The warm chocolate cake in particular was a real highlight - extremely tasty, juicy and perfectly balanced. I was also pleasantly surprised by the non-alcoholic cocktails: fresh, fruity and creatively mixed. The atmosphere was cozy, the service attentive - I'll definitely be back!

Very nice service, but you can only warn about the food. Dead-roasted wild salmon, dead-cooked asparagus spears without tips(!), tasteless pea and potato puree. Canteen food - and for a horrendous price.

Guest garden on the market square was great, service was friendly, the dishes from the daily menu were cheap (under €10) and quite ok., Pilsner from Feldschlösschen, there was also offal that day, which was good, the toilet facilities are original. Going to Mosquito is a good choice.

I visited for the first time today and I was really pleasantly surprised. Great atmosphere and really really nice staff. Really very beautiful!

The ambient is nice, the chairs confortable. The food was really nice looking and tasty. They have a menu 12-15h for better price (9.99euros aprox), or you can take from the normal menu. The dorado fish was from the menu (left). The schweinfillet was really nice, for 20 euros (mittle) The burger was around 15 and was with the hole meat (not minced). The service was friendly, and fast. She was pendant if there was anything needed there. There is no parking as it is in the zentrum platz. I recommend park near the spree mall and walk. The entrance is on a side. The bathroom is on the first floor.

It's a really great place, but the staff are really rude, they always send us back saying there's no more space, and when we call and make a reservation they tell us that a reservation isn't possible, especially The blonde employee and the other one who has black hair are really unfriendly..!

We had breakfast at the Mosquito for the presentation, the price for each person was 9€. There were white rolls, jam/honey/chocolate from these small plastic packages, eggs, sausage and cheese. However, many of us didn't like the 9€ were justified because it was somehow prepared with little love and we would have expected more from the price. In addition, no small drink was included.

It's not what it was anymore. The food was a joke. The truffle pasta isn't even a children's portion for 14.50 EUR. The pasta was dry and no trace of truffles. The boss is arrogant and arrogant. Got a cheeky and stupid answer to a polite question. You should really consider making sophisticated investments.

Very tasty food and an extensive menu. Service was very good at first, but unfortunately declined as our stay progressed. We ended up having to wait a long time for service and our drinks. Cocktails are okay.

A great restaurant with a small but very nice menu. Great, tasty and beautifully prepared food. Great service and nice ambience. When we are in Cottbus, dinner at Mosquito is a must. We would love to come back and can recommend the Mosquito to everyone.

Unfortunately, maybe you caught the wrong day. Despite registering for the Christmas party, the staff and the kitchen were extremely overwhelmed. Even though it was so stressful, the staff was always friendly and tried to save something. Next time it will definitely be better. But great shop

Cold coffee, cold food. The waitress was seen from a distance and shouldn't be spoken to.

We were there in August this year and had dinner. I would do anything for the ox cheeks. Incredibly delicious. Gladly again.

Very tasty food and attentive service.

Tried the lunch menu today - poultry involtini with spinach, feta, mushrooms and polenta as well as pumpkin schnitzel with gnocchi, tomatoes and broccoli. The taste was perfect and the price/performance ratio couldn't be beat. The cucumber lemonade was also delicious and the service was very friendly and accommodating. Thank you and keep it up, we will definitely come back to you on our next visit to Cottbus.

Nice central location on the Altmarkt in Cottbus. Drinks are good and the staff is friendly. Unfortunately the food didn't taste good. The restaurant is recommended for a liquid cocktail evening, if you are hungry there are much better restaurants in the area.

Very bad experience. Food was cold. Pork fillet not cooked through at all and tough. Beans were only thawed and lukewarm. Couscous with chicory cold and very dry. Felt like a ready meal. After informing the chef, there was no reaction from the staff. Not worth visiting, a waste of time.

Unfortunately it's no longer what it used to be. Happy hour basically doesn't exist anymore. Too bad

Great ambience, no intrusively loud music and very friendly service. I had the Asian chicken, which I really, really enjoyed. Tender meat, crunchy vegetables with an incredibly good sauce. The rice was on point and in a perfect portion. There was also a Cape white wine, rarely such a good house wine. The price was unexpectedly good, so I tipped almost 20% (I usually give 10%). I will definitely come back.

We were there on Tuesday evening and all I can say is that we haven't eaten so well in a long time. Had pork medallions, baked potatoes with braised beans and my husband had beef brisket. Super well seasoned, sauce with flavor, the meat was grilled wonderfully tender, really, very good. Since we keep cattle ourselves and are used to good cuisine, we can judge that. The service staff is also really great, big compliments to the entire team, keep it up and give the chef a big pay rise, you won't find anyone better. We would be happy to come back and will also do a lot of word-of-mouth advertising. Best regards

Unfriendly service, you get the impression that the staff doesn't want to work. Eternal waiting time. Potato wedges are soggy, burnt and full of curry powder. Asia Cooktail tasted watery.

We wanted to drink cocktails for two last night and were turned away at the entrance by the owner, saying there was a lot to do and the terrace was full of guests. The bar, meanwhile, was empty. My guess: my FC Energie hoodie on the day of the promotion and the Altmarkt full of fans was too much for him and he suspects that football fans are placid and bawling idiots. I found this to be largely discriminatory. Apparently some hosts are doing too well, which leads to bizarre, arrogant behavior. Unfortunately there was no hospitality yesterday.

Eating and drinking deliciously, outside in the sun. No under umbrellas, it was so much more pleasant. In a good atmosphere on the large market square with nice service. He had a lot to do, but was always friendly.

A very big thank you to you for saving our day yesterday. Due to a canceled youth consecration in the neighboring building, we initially didn't know what would happen next. You reacted extremely quickly when our event was canceled at short notice and quickly set up a table for us on the terrace. Terrible service, waiter unfriendly and slow. Service changes constantly, good service is given priority during training. I won't be coming back and wouldn't recommend this to anyone.

We had lunch for two on a Friday. We sat outside to enjoy the sun. The service was very friendly and regularly checked whether everything was ok. The food came quickly and was very good. We would eat there again. Just a few fewer ice cubes in the drink would be nice, but that's personal taste.

It's been a long time since I was there again... but it's no longer as I knew it... the staff was clearly friendly as always... but you don't feel as welcome anymore... nothing special was offered...

The prices are tough. The cocktails were tasty but very expensive because they lacked the advertised alcohol.

We wanted to celebrate a birthday in this restaurant. We were surprised how many people attended a 3.1. Were in the restaurant. The lady from the service was very nice, very friendly. Ordering food and drinks was relatively quick. Soft music filled the dining room, good for entertaining. The menu contained a lot of vegan/vegetarian, meat dishes, a lot of chicken and 3 other types of processed meat. This selection was too small for us, although the Mosquito fillet pan was tasty. At 8:15 p.m. the lights were dimmed and loud music filled the room. Conversation became difficult, the noise level in the dining room became louder to overcome the music. That was the sign that we were too old for that and would prefer a quieter stay. So we left the restaurant, we were no longer in the mood for tasty, well-tempered cocktails, which were offered in large numbers.

Waren heute total begeistert. Essen war super lecker und qualitativ hochwertig. Faires Preis Leistung Verhältnis, und der Eistee Früchte Kokos sehr schmackhaft. Großes Lob an die Küche und den Service 😃

Not recommended... Until the invoice was issued everything was OK... it took a while etc. I went there with a few colleagues and in the end we were charged more than €25 extra... only after a long discussion and very unfriendly people Treatment, we decided to pay the bill that was too high even though we didn't consume what was included... either very incompetent service or they want to rip you off
