MoschMosch in Mainz

We had to wait outside. When we asked the young man, he responded in a very rude and disrespectful manner. Black hair, southern European descent... and muscular... his unfriendly behavior was a complete disgrace. I don't want to mock anyone, but that's acceptable in a gym, but not in a restaurant. We won't be coming back.

We like to eat here. Fast service, good food. Friendly staff. Top.

Best restaurant service I've ever had! Service: Not only is there a nice selection of Japanese and some other Asian dishes, our waiter was the most engaging person I have ever encountered in restaurant service! He gave us extensive advice on which starters would go best with our main courses in terms of taste and preparation. We had chosen a peace of mind ramen and a curry with katsudon, and also wanted gyoza dumplings. We were immediately recommended to take the Dim Sum Gyoza so that the appetizer wouldn't be too heavy on our stomachs. I noticed that this wasn't one of the more expensive gyoza variants, so it wasn't a sales technique but actually concerned with the well-being of the guests! We were also asked what type of cutlery we preferred and whether we would like less ice in our drinks. The gyoza came with a great dipping sauce and when I asked about it, I was shown what it was straight from the kitchen. During the meal we were asked whether we liked it, and our waiter was so happy to tell the kitchen our compliments that I was completely infected by his smile :) We were also explained about the other sauces and recommended which ones would go best with which dish. My portion of ramen was nice and big, and when I had the rest packed up to take away, I was also shown a trick with the packaging to transport the broth and noodles separately. Eat: The taste of the dishes blew me away!! I'm usually someone who can't stop talking about how delicious good food tastes, but here everything was so fantastically flavorful that I was actually speechless! The dim sum was fabulously gently steamed and the chicken filling wasn't too greasy, perfectly balanced with the slightly sour ponzu dipping sauce. My ramen came in a miso chicken broth that was also wonderfully flavorful and not too oily. The vegetables in the broth were lightly steamed and absorbed the flavor of the broth really well. The slices of chicken were cooked very tender and also soaked in the broth. Every bite and every spoonful was like being wrapped up warm! The food was so full of flavor that my mouth couldn't stop tasting it! I hadn't tried the curry itself, but my partner said it was fantastic! We were both impressed by the katsudon, whose panko breading was so incredibly crispy (and especially tasty with the leftover ponzu dip)! Miscellaneous: This restaurant is included in the gourmet block for Mainz and the surrounding area for 2 main courses for the price of 1. We were here on Sunday around 4 p.m. when it was still pretty empty and we were served quickly. Around 5 p.m. it started to fill up, but it seemed as if the staff were still extremely quick but still very helpful and friendly. Wow! At peak times you may have to wait for a table, but it's well worth it!! Especially since the portion sizes have a good ratio to the price. I'm looking forward to eating here again, bringing friends and family with me and recommending it to others!

I was here for the first time 15 years ago when it was still relatively new and was absolutely thrilled. Unfortunately, when we visited today, the restaurant seemed very run down and the food was so-so. The homemade yuzu lemonade was great and so was the poké bowl with salmon. Unfortunately, there was really nothing special about the salmon and shrimp ramen other than the two ingredients. It's great that there are children's menus, but the food itself was a bit bland. The chicken schnitzel was great but the fried noodles were very oily and the sauce was strangely sweet. The scoop of ice cream for dessert had obviously been pre-portioned in the freezer for a long time. But the service was very friendly and competent. The advertising for MoschMosch on Instagram was exciting but unfortunately promised more than could be delivered.

The young waitress was playing hard of hearing just to get a tip. What are we, cows to be milked? If you didn't get a tip, you didn't get a tip. We were very uncomfortable. Never again.

The service was really very nice, courteous and quick. The food came quickly as did the drinks. Unfortunately the ambience doesn't work at all, uncomfortable chairs and not much arm space. The drinks tasted rather tough and didn't really provide any refreshment. The food was below average at best. High prices but the food is nothing really special. The only positive thing was the breaded chicken. Nevertheless, I would like to point out again that the staff was very friendly towards us. Unfortunately the food is way overhyped.

A sweet and friendly place. The service staff is courteous and friendly. They stated that they do not use MSG or its derivatives in their products, and I think they did not. I got Teriyaki chicken and Seelenruhe ramen. The meat could have been a little more fatty. There is a blandness in the meat of the dishes prepared in Asian restaurants outside Asia that I cannot understand. Unfortunately, this happened to me here too. But I recommend it as a place to try in Mainz.

Feel free to come, lovely staff and delicious food

Absolutely great! I always order there when I'm at the hotel in Mainz using a certain app. The preparation, completion and delivery (by bicycle courier) is always very quick. The food is very warm (even in winter) and safely packaged. There are always chopsticks available upon request. It always tastes great! The portions are good and the quality is excellent for my taste. I also wanted a change and tried other restautants, but so far I've always been disappointed. No chopsticks, long delivery or not delivered at all, cold and therefore limp food, etc. No, when I'm in Mainz, the only option for me is MoschMosch. Absolutely recommended!!

Always delicious! The staff is always friendly and the food is delicious. You usually have to take a few minutes if you want to get a table during rush hour. However, we always got a place. My recommendation: anything with noodles. ;)

On the phone you are told that the ramen kitchen closes at 9 p.m. and the whole kitchen closes at 9:30 p.m. You come to the store at 8:30 p.m. and (group of 8 people) order 4x ramen. The food itself was okay, despite the rubbery chicken and the completely hard-boiled "lava egg". After you point out to the waiter that the egg doesn't meet expectations, you are laughed at. Due to a birthday, 2x the cheesecake nuggets and 1x the chocolate cake were ordered, which was supposed to fulfill the role of the birthday cake. After you only get one cheesecake and ask where the rest is, you are told that no cake will be served today, even though the waitress took the order without further ado. Very unfortunate! After further conversation with the waiter, it was suggested that a dish be canceled from the bill, which in itself would be an okay solution, but the dishes were prepared incorrectly and some things were missing. It's understandable that everyone wants to call it a day, but it would be nice if a store, especially one as lauded as this one, lived up to its promises.

A paradise for ramen lovers! The ramen is simply incredibly tasty, and the service is always warm and courteous. The wait is absolutely worth it because the food is a true taste experience! We always enjoy coming back – an absolute recommendation for anyone who wants to enjoy authentic and delicious ramen. 👍

I had a great dinner at MoschMosch last month. It’s one of my cousins favorite restaurants and she insisted we try it while in the area. The service was good, the food came quickly and had great flavor. I ordered the veggie fried rice and the Beck’s Lemon Brew, which I highly recommend, it has become a new favorite of mine. Well priced and delicious, would definitely come back again.

A lovely shop with great food. More of a younger, hip crowd, but there are also older people mixed in there. Can be recommended without reservation.

The environment and the service is perfect. We ordered the vegan red curry with rice and the miso spicy noodle. The noodle has some room of improvement. Soup: There is only spicy flavor. feels like lack of salt. The miso taste is also not strong enough. Noodles: no soup flavor, the texture is not chewy enough. If it is made by hand, maybe the problem is the kneading process. The chicken is not from a good part of the checken, much skin and so on. Just personal opinion as I don’t like skin. But it is just one noodle so maybe other noodles taste better.

Unfortunately, the experience recently has not been good. High prices, small portions - when you pay a lot of money for the extra duck and get 3 small, tough, well-done pieces and 2 pieces of pure fat, that's really annoying. If you don't respond to it, it's really annoying...

Very fine Japanese cuisine. My favorites are the Goyoza and the curries. The delicacies are served by friendly and attentive employees. Why is there a star deduction? 1 euro extra for chili is customer-unfriendly.

Moschmosch no longer has the usual quality. We went there for ramen today and it had the cheapest Asian noodles I've ever eaten...a shame! It used to be really tasty there

Unfortunately, things have been getting worse for years. Dishes are becoming smaller and smaller, with fewer vegetables. Too bad.

Rarely have such bad Asian food been eaten. Had the Morning Sun, a side dish with chicken broth, chicken breast, noodles, vegetables and lava egg, which had to be paid extra. The broth tasted bland, the noodles were overcooked (due to delivery problems, they weren't original Japanese noodles as we were told), the so-called lava egg, a completely normal half, hard-boiled egg. The chicken was the worst! Really inedible, stringy pieces, probably from the frozen package. €14.95 is completely overpriced! Frames at Mosch Mosch ...no thanks! I would also like to mention the very friendly service, who completely understood our half-empty bowls.

Our GoTo restaurant for trips to Mainz and especially to the Christmas market! Parking in the parking garage at Brand is recommended. At the entrance you wait until you are assigned a table. Best with edamame as a starter and a large iced tea! Child friendly. Children's bibs can also be used for people with light-colored tops 😉

The yuzu lemonade is highly recommended, and the gyoza and ramen were also very tasty. The atmosphere is very nice and the restaurant is very family friendly.

A little crowded on the weekends but otherwise cool

Restaurant with a very good general atmosphere can be a little too close to neighboring tables depending on your location but this is not disturbing, the service is correct and rather fast. The food is very good, I recommend the ramen, their size is more than satisfactory.

Friendly staff and abundant food

We have been guests of the restaurant for many years. During our last visit we realized that despite the still excellent service and an overall quite family-friendly atmosphere, the change in recipes means that we probably won't go to Mosh Mosh in Mainz again. The previously very well-balanced glass noodle salad (17) was completely rushed and inedibly spicy due to a chili sauce. The beef udon dish was either bland or over-seasoned. The flavors just didn't work together. The dishes were piled carelessly. and had probably been standing for some time. After the many good visits in recent times, we are very disappointed.

I would particularly like to emphasize that the restaurant is family friendly. We were assigned a perfect spot for the stroller. The food was prepared with fresh ingredients, well seasoned, the prices, especially for the drinks, were reasonable and the portions were generous.

The Mosch-Mosch in Mainz is always worth a visit. We have tried dozens of different dishes and have never been disappointed.

A nice little restaurant "MoschMosch". Unfortunately, to be honest, I was disappointed. We once had a starter of gyoza (very tasty), the morning sun ramen (tasted good) and beef with broccoli (unfortunately frozen) and rice. Some things about the dishes we ordered bothered us, but we were able to clarify everything with the super nice waiter and were satisfied! That's how it should be. Customer-oriented, critical-minded and friendly! Gladly 5 ✨✨✨✨✨

Asian fast food. Okay, but nothing more

The food was incredibly delicious and there are a variety of vegan options. The service was also very friendly and accommodating, but constantly flirted with my partner, which got annoying at some point, hence deducting a star. Otherwise it was great and we will definitely come back :)

Food is always nice when we go here. They always swap or remove ingredients no problem. Staff are always friendly and helpful. Good value food. Plenty of options to cater for many tastes.

Smell of mold in the women's toilet, dirty, dusty and old deposits in the toilet as well as yellowed silicone and dirty walls! Hygiene in the women's toilet is poor! Service was great, food too, but I was shocked by the way the toilet looked! This needs to be completely renovated and you can see how it is rotting! I'm glad I didn't go to the bathroom until after dinner.

A very pleasant atmosphere, informal and yet very cozy. The staff is super friendly, the service is very good. The menu offers a diverse selection of dishes at moderate prices. Some of the dishes are a taste explosion in a positive sense and some of them are almost impossible to cope with in terms of quantity. The MoschMosch is definitely worth a visit!

I have been to one of the Mosch-Mosch restaurants several times and found the service to be very friendly and the food to be of consistently good quality.

Japanese is different... I am a huge ramen fan and have eaten in quite a few ramen restaurants in Germany. So I was really looking forward to a visit to MoschMosch. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed because the food didn't taste remotely authentically Japanese. As a starter I had the Yakitori skewers, which I actually really love, but didn't find them well seasoned + peppers Supplement very inappropriate. The flavor of ramen was every other Asian style, but not remotely Japanese. What a shame! The store has a lot of potential that is not being used.

We had the pleasure of visiting MoschMosch in Mainz and it was a wonderful experience from start to finish. (The Schlemmerblock is a voucher book that you can use to save money at various restaurants and leisure venues in the area. You can often get "2 for 1" offers or discounts on food and activities. It's a great way to try new restaurants and save money to save.) The team took the time to explain all the details and benefits to us, which made it very easy to get started. We also received excellent advice when choosing our food. Since it was our first time eating Japanese food, we were excited to try ramen. The staff patiently explained the different options and made recommendations, which helped us a lot. The food was not only delicious, but also plentiful. The portions were generous and filling, which made us very happy. Additionally, the staff were consistently friendly and helpful, which made the entire experience even more enjoyable. The service was amazingly quick; Our food was on the table within 15 minutes of ordering. The pleasant atmosphere of the restaurant rounded off our visit perfectly. We can highly recommend MoschMosch in Mainz to everyone and are already looking forward to our next visit!

A spontaneous visit on a Saturday lunchtime in Mainz, the three of us, took us to the Mosch Mosch restaurant. A friendly welcome and an uncomplicated atmosphere invite you to eat. We were able to enjoy delicious homemade lemonade and lots of (really good) vegetarian dishes. Price-performance is ok. We will be back:-)

We go there every now and then, the soups and pasta dishes are delicious. The gyôza, ramen and iced teas are also excellent. Sure, everything is adapted to the European palate, but you have to be in order to reach a broad audience. If you want authentic Japanese food, you have to go to a Japanese restaurant in Düsseldorf 😂

If there was a 6th star, I would give it to this place. We were served by a waiter named Gulien, who immediately created a professional, but also friendly, relaxed atmosphere and whose passion for his work was unmistakable. Also on a human level it was just great, it really was an almost unique experience. The food can definitely keep up with the service - great in terms of taste and presentation. This won't be our last visit!

Very good for vegetarians. The restaurant is so popular that there was a long queue to get a table, so we chose takeaway.

My friend's choice of dish was a bit disappointing at first. (Lots of meat, few vegetables). The dish was therefore only partially eaten and she then decided to order something else. The wrong choice is at the positive insistence of the pleasant host, not charged. He wanted us to 'leave satisfied'. That certainly worked.

Went there for the first time today (Schlemmerblock) and I have to say it wasn't the last time. The service was super nice and funny and the food was tasty and in a pleasant quantity. It's all ok!

Delicious anyway, we also had the friendliest and most communicative waiter I can imagine. In general the atmosphere was really good and when people are having fun at work I feel more comfortable. If you are vegan and eat at this place. Have the vegan ramen or fried rice, nothing else. Everything else is terrible combination of flavors that does not fit well together, a mix of chaos. I ate with a big family of 10 people and we tried most of the vegan alternatives.

The food is super delicious. The ambience is loud and intended for quick meals rather than a leisurely and long sit-in. This is reinforced by the lack of backrests on the chairs and stools.

Very good food and friendly service. Unfortunately, you were no longer allowed to sit outside after 8:30 p.m. It was very warm inside and it would have been more pleasant outside. The kimchi and ramen tasted very authentic and the house beer was also very refreshing!

You order from this sneaky club. You get a cheap excuse because the employees are too lazy to deliver, you then have to order something somewhere else and they don't want to give us the money back even though they haven't fulfilled their responsibility. The main thing is to rip off customers.

Absolut kompetenter und sehr freundlicher Service, wir kommen seit Jahren hier her und sind mit dem Essen immer zufrieden. Egal ob Vorspeise oder Hauptgang, alle vier Familienmitglieder freuen sich immer auf ein Essen bei MoschMosch. Leider sind die Toiletten sehr überholungsbedürftig. Zu dem Anspruch des Restaurants passt es mit Sicherheit nicht. Da müsste mehr als dringend nachgebessert werden.

Very tasty and good vegetarian options.

Very nice service. Despite the high crowds and waiting time, it was worth it. The vegan Tantanmen Ramen was very creamy and delicious. The portion size was just right. Beforehand I ate gyoza stuffed with tofu, which was also very tasty. The soy sauce that came with it tasted spicy and lemony (Ponzu?). Definitely worth a visit :)

We were there recently as a family, we were unlucky that it was rush hour so we had to wait for a table to become available. It was actually a horror for me, I wanted to turn back, but the waitress/boss (n.a.) was super nice and told us that a table would soon be available, which is why we stayed. We had to wait 20 minutes, which was bearable considering the food on offer. We had our little daughter with us and she was looked after very well. The first thing she was given was crayons, a table mat to paint on, and the children's menu was there quickly. Our food (ramen and glass noodle salad) as well as the drinks (Aperol Spritz) arrived quickly and were super tasty. Prices are reasonable, the service was really great (!), we also found the atmosphere good and suitable, we will definitely be back! Great restaurant!

I always enjoy visiting this restaurant. Like other locations, the food is very tasty and prepared relatively quickly. However, reservations are not possible at this branch. Since it is always very busy, I recommend visiting outside of peak hours.

I had a main course that was actually just vegetables. I blindly assumed that it would come with pasta or rice as standard - my mistake. So I didn't get full. It was nonetheless inedible because the sauce was like some kind of mix between soy sauce and barbecue sauce - just salty. First of all, I had vegetable gyoza, which consisted of a porridge-like filling. I couldn't taste any vegetables. My friend had stomach problems from her food and had to go to the bathroom twice. The air in the shop is also very bad and it is far too warm. I also find these wooden chairs super uncomfortable, which is probably intentional so that the space can be cleared quickly. Ultimately, MoschMosch is an overpriced fast food place.

The food was good, but a bit lacking. One dish was returned because the rice was completely dry. After that it was very good. The other beef dish was less tasty than usual and also had less meat. Therefore this time only 4 stars instead of 5

We have dined in or ordered takeout from this restaurant several times now. The food is always freshly prepared and tastes delicious. It's great that they offer vegan and gluten-free options, catering to a variety of dietary preferences.

Disgusting food for me. As an Asian I don’t understand how they can call it ramen. Its not close to real ramen. Only taste I got is salty. I been there 2 time and food also not that good. The 2nd time I forgot that it not taste good there and later I have diarrhea. I don’t want to blame the restaurant but my friend also got it as the same time after that. Good service and worker but it not a good ramen as I expected. For German it might taste good maybe but for Asian I don’t think so. Sorry to leave you a bad review but I hope you will improve. Maybe maybe no…

Vielen Dank an den besten Kellner seit Jahren, mit hervorragenden Tipps, einer unübertroffenen Freundlichkeit und ohne 08-15-gib-mir-Trinkgeld-Service. Die Küche hat ebenso mega Arbeit geleistet! Endlich auch mal abwechslungsreiche und vor allem richtig gute Rezeptideen. Unbedingt die Cheesecake Nuggets probieren!:) wir kommen ganz bald wieder. Weiter so liebes Mosch-Mosch Team.

Vorab: das Essen ist geschmacklich echt lecker, leider habe ich das Mosch Mosch in Mainz nach einem Hauptgericht noch nie satt verlassen. Die Portionen sind leider sehr überschaubar. Da stimmt das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis leider nicht. Ambiente ist Geschmacksache, mir persönlich etwas zu eng und laut

Das Essen war super lecker! Toller Service und freundliche Bedienung. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist wirklich ausgezeichnet. Wir kommen wieder. :-)

Vorspeisen und Hauptspeisen war sehr schnell zubereitet und serviert. Die Suppen sind schmackhaft und die Portion ist perfekt. Die Brühe könnte ein Tick intensiver sein. Service und Ambiente passen zum Motto.

Leckeres Essen, netter und schneller Service, gegebenenfalls muss man kurz auf einen freien Platz warten, mit mehreren Personen ist eine Reservierung sinnvoll.

Essen war wie immer gut. Der ingwertee war nicht richtig heiss und die Limette war mal kurz vorbei gelaufen. Toilette war dreckig und 2 von 3 urinalenbwaren defekt mit Mülltonne umwickelt. Darunter dreckiges verknülltes Papier.

Das Essen ist wirklich super lecker, das einzige Problem ist das man teilweise wenn man mit ein paar mehr Personen kommt super lange anstehen muss und das Personal immer sehr viel zu tun hat, trotzdem sind die Mitarbeiter super nett und ich komm immer gerne.

Hervorragender Service, frische Speisen!

Das Mosch Mosch kann ich nur empfehlen. Authentische japanische Küche in einem asiatischen Flair. Das Essen ist super frisch und knackig und vorallem seinen Preis wert. Der Service erfüllte mir jeden Wunsch und konnte mich gut in meiner Entscheidung beraten.

Sehr sehr leckeres Essen, auch sehr viel vegan :) Leider kann man keinen Tisch reservieren und die Tische in der Mitte sind etwas klein für große Menschen. Ansonsten perfekt!

따뜻한 국물이 생각나서 들어갔는데 가게 앞에 warm your soul이라고 써있어요. 다른 의미로 내 영혼이 후끈 달아올랐습니다. 직원들이 무슨 잘못이겠어요. 제가 안좋은 경험을 했으니 공유드려요. 메뉴 이름만 보고 주문하시면 안됩니다. 다른 메뉴가 나올거예요. 뭔가 다 변형된 맛입니다. 이건뭐 이름이라도 바꿔놓지... 뭔가다 피넛 피넛 피넛인데 너무 피넛입니다. 탄탄면이 달고 피넛입니다. (검정깨는 뭐지? 콩국수도 아니고...) 카레도 피넛입니다. 깊고 진한 일본식카레맛이 전혀 없습니다. 이게 말이됩니까?
