Monki Ramen in Nürnberg

I ordered curry pork cutlet and miso ramen The potatoes and carrots in the curry were uncooked and felt very hard and tasteless. The tonkatsu was so crispy that the skin on the roof of your mouth would break. The meat in the miso ramen had a bit of a pig flavor, but overall it was delicious. I'm satisfied with growing things as long as I can eat them in Germany

Love this place. Pretty much busy, great food, quick service with some vegetarian and vegan options. Good wine and beer selection, nice interior

Great restaurant! Whenever I'm in Nuremberg, this is my point of contact! I've been to many ramen restaurants but this one keeps popping into my head. Super nice staff and great value for money too!

Overall good food, but not my favorite ramen. Ambiance is a matter of taste but I like it rustic. Maybe a little cozy on busy days. Service was courteous and quick despite the store being full.

I love eating Japanese food and cocktails. When I was in Nuremberg, I discovered Monki. The food there is really tasty and the drinks are pretty interesting! I really like the cocktails here! You should definitely come by and try it out!

We had Tempura Udon, and Shoyu Ramen. The portion is not that much for the lunch menu. Also, Udon doesn’t taste like Udon. If you know how Udon tastes, you will be disappointed. But! Tempura was good!

The “Karaage” appetizer tasted like KFC’s chicken tenders, but the espresso martini was even worse. This tasted incredibly disgusting, and then offering it for €12 is bottomless.

Monki in Nuremberg is delicious for eating ramen. However, it can get very crowded, so unfortunately you end up sitting next to someone. That's not so nice then. The waiters are nice, unfortunately some of them are not attentive, but I don't blame the waiter but the concept. How are you supposed to have an overview when 3 different guests are sitting at a table. The homeade drinks are very refreshing and there is a large selection of vegan and vegetarian soups, for meat eaters too of course.

The best ramen I have ever eaten. There were plenty of options to choose from. Wide variety of toppings, delicious eggs, overall very filling . Japanese vibe and music, my fav place in Norymberg ❤️

Honestly, it’s been a while since I’ve had such delicious food. The gyoza, tempura, and ramen were outstanding—flavorful, with tender chashu and a very good broth. Despite the rush hour, the service was excellent. I highly recommend this restaurant!

Tip from my Japanese neighbor. It was packed, nice people at the next table who we chatted with. Food was tasty. Monki means "monkey". That's why this wallpaper with hidden monkeys in the restaurant. Very sweet.

This is a very delicious Japanese ramen shop, even in Taiwan, it is a top-notch ramen shop! ! It’s very touching to be able to drink a bowl of delicious and warm hot soup in Germany🥹 The location is right at the subway exit of the old city. The interior decoration is elegant and clean. The store has a large space and the business hours are long. It is very convenient to not take a break in the afternoon! Eat the whole bowl of ramen! tasty! ! !

The best ramen I've ever had was a real taste explosion. The broth was deep and flavorful, perfectly balanced between spicy and savory. The noodles were just right, springy and absorbed the broth perfectly. Every bite was a delight, and everything came together beautifully. Simply unforgettable!

Came here to satisfy our cravings. Ordered Ramen and rice meal for early dinner. Their Ramen broth for Tonkotsu Shoyu was legit, it's worth to try. Katsu don have also yummy side dishes, which i like the most. What's downside with this restaurant is they don't have their own toilet for customers.

Tonkotsu soy sauce ramen/tonkotsu ramen/pork cutlet curry rice has enough meat! The flavors of the cuisine are above traditional Japanese standards It's worth spending money to eat and see Disadvantages: The carrots and potatoes in the curry rice are very hard, and it feels like they are just extra blanched for presentation. The service staff clears the table every time They always pour the seven-spice powder into the big box and refill it, which is very strange... no free water Can only order drinks

Very tasty ramen and other dishes, nice service. The only criticism: the ingredients in ramen could be a little more seasoned and the wooden spoon is not ideal. Deduction for the ambience because it is rather loud and uncomfortable inside. We only come if you can sit outside.

Very tasty ramen soup - definitely worth a visit! Unfortunately, due to the size of the restaurant, the ambience suffers somewhat (you basically sit table to table with your neighbor)

It was a delicious and plentiful ramen restaurant. My friends who went with me also left behind saying they were full. However, in the kimchi description section on the menu, it said “chinese cabbage,” so I asked the owner what it meant. The owner said that of course he knew that kimchi is a Korean food, and explained that the variety name of the cabbage used to make kimchi in Germany is ‘chinese cabbage.’ In case there might be a misunderstanding among people who don't know much about kimchi, I asked them to change the menu to something like 'Korean kimchi made of chinese cabbage' the next time they change it, and the owner readily said he appreciated the feedback and said he would change it when the menu was changed. The food was delicious and I liked how the owner was quick to accept feedback. I will visit again next time!

Food was delicious. We're there for lunch break. Very quick service. The only problem is that they don't speak German very well. When it came to allergens, it wasn't easy to communicate. We sat outside. The green flies at the next table were very disgusting. (There were 20 of them floating around). Inside it is very beautiful with the large painting.

Very good food in a nice atmosphere

This has become our favorite Asian restaurant in Nuremberg. We take the train and make it a date experience for us. The food is always so delicious. It’s never overly salted. The tempura is always perfectly battered and fried. The ramen is delicious and the service is always prompt. We enjoy the drink too. Both alcoholic and nonalcoholic.

Every other time I order delivery I order extra chasu and you serve me the wrong chasu. Sorry but I'm lowering my rating. Food tastes good nonetheless but the disappointment is huge.

Great food, the service is very accommodating. Unfortunately, language barriers (we speak German) make it difficult to ask questions about the food. But the menu contains a small encyclopedia of spices. The selection of drinks is also very extensive. We'd love to come back!

Fantastic Ramen! Especially the descriptions in the menu get you going in their world of slurpy delicacies.. the atmosphere is totally electric with everyone buzzing and slurping their ramen. On a Thursday we got a table for 2 at the bar.. You can imagine the crowd! We're going to come here many times in the future for sure..

Beautifully decorated store! The food is a poem and really delicious. Thanks to the small table spices, it can be customized for everyone and is also suitable for those who like it a little spicier. The Japanese Ramen that’s very good quality and fair price! The soup is delicious not too salty, nice staff. Cocktail is okay but Ramen is the good one! Fast serve and service

Very tasty food and drink, super friendly service and a harmonious atmosphere. We were even able to go there without a reservation, but be careful, often all the seats are occupied and as soon as something was free, it was filled again shortly afterwards. Will definitely come back!

We went to the Monki Essen restaurant on Saturday and it tasted very good. But something needs to be emphasized: we ordered a starter, which unfortunately wasn't brought until the main course. Here the fact that the starter was forgotten was dealt with honestly. We didn't have to pay for the starter either, hats off to you for that, you don't find that and we eat out a lot in restaurants. For us something like this can happen, we are all only human and that day it was very crowded (Trempelmarkt Nuremberg). What counts is how employees and owners deal with such mishaps and they deal with them very well here. Please keep it up, we'll be happy to come back when we're back in Nuremberg.

The Monki Ramen restaurant impresses with friendly service and a nice ambience in the middle of Nuremberg city center. I'm leaving this because I don't think there are any Korean reviews. I visited because I was craving spicy soup. I don't know if it's cost-effective, but the taste is good. You can't just eat sausage, haksen, and schnitzel every day. I had shoyu and Karaimiso ramen, and I highly recommend it!

Here you will be really noodled. Very good food at fair prices. Often crowded in the evening but the wait is worth it.

When we are in Nuremberg, we always like to go to Monkī. The food is always delicious, the service is good and the meal doesn't feel too heavy on the stomach afterwards.

This place is one of my favourite ones in Nuremberg. No matter if for lunch or a full dinner experience, the food is delicious and the atmosphere is just amazing.

We tried meat goyzas, vegan miso ramen, tonkotsu ramen and yuzu ice cream. Everything was very good. I'm in Nuremberg sightseeing and I don't know if there are more ramen restaurants but this one has good ramen. I'm from Barcelona and there I've tried others that I liked more. The place has a modern design, music, perianal tables and group tables. It also has a terrace. If you want good ramen in Nuremberg you will find it here.

Great food, I agree with the others. We tried the Spicy Ramen, which was really tasty and had a pleasant spiciness to it. You won't be embarrassed to stay seated for a longer period of time as it's not particularly comfortable. The food, what matters, is very good.

I was hoping for a slightly different, foreign flavor, but my expectations were exceeded, and the tonkotsu ramen was delicious. For me, the soft-boiled egg was the best. The fried chicken is delicious and well-done, and the portion is so filling that it might be a good idea to share.

A great team works here. Young, dynamic and friendly people. Despite the place being full, I didn't have to wait long for my food and we didn't feel the slightest bit of stress. It's a very popular Jap restaurant in this area. Coming from an Asian country and always spoilt for Jap food choices back home, I just got to try it. I had their katsu curry and ramen on consecutive nights. And I was not disappointed. The Jap food is as good as I can get back home. Massive servings of the katsu and thick ramen broth.. It's a definitely must visit when you are in Nuremberg Old Town. Either RSVP for table or just sit at bar counter! Also a shout out to their service crew, fast, quick and efficient! They even use google translate to ask me about the saltiness of my soup!

When you are craving for Asian food, specifically ramen noodles in Nuremberg, this can be a good option. I had Nuremberg as my base to visit nearby Bavarian towns where I had a plenty of German food. This place came as a respite to me. I would simply walk frim my hotel and have a bowl of ramen. The quality of the food is good. The service can be little better.

As a Japanese living in Germany, I'm really envy of Nürnberg people since they have Monki.

I eat ramen here regularly. The vegan shoyu is my favorite. For me the best ramen in Nuremberg. Be sure to try the matcha creme brûlée too! In the end, the service sometimes takes a long time to arrive when paying, but that's really the only negative point.

I liked it a lot! I have ginger iced tea (8.5/10) very refreshing, very good. As a starter we had Pico Pico (Salmon Carpaccio) 10/10 I could eat this every day, it was such a perfect combination of fresh, spicy, sour and coriander! It should also be available as a main course. And we also had Popukon (Fried Meis) 8.5/10 which was also very good, very crispy and you can tell that it was fried in clean oil. I had Tantan Ramen (8/10) as my main course, it wasn't as spicy as I'm used to, so I mixed in more chili. But the broth still tasted good. Portion was also big, couldn't eat everything. You can also choose different toppings if you want. You can pay by card.
