Monki Ramen in Nürnberg

The ramen, edamame, and kimchi were delicious, and the service was very fast. The only downside was that the place was very crowded and the tables were quite close together, so it was a bit noisy. Otherwise, absolutely fantastic!

After my trip to Japan, I feel like I've been teleported back to Japan here, and not just in terms of taste.

The vegan options are delicious! There could be a bit more variety in the toppings (especially protein), but otherwise it's truly one of the best Japanese restaurants around.

The welcome was friendly, and we were taken directly to our reserved table. Menus were brought to us quickly, and our orders were taken. The room was quite dark, noisy, and the ventilation was quite poor. After our visit, you smelled like you'd been in the kitchen yourself. Now for the food: the appetizers and main course were served quickly. The appetizers were very tasty and some were quite generous. Unfortunately, the ramen didn't impress us. We had three different ramen dishes, and the flavor in all of them was quite bland, and some of the broth simply tasted of fat. This caused a stomach ache later in the evening. It wasn't completely bad, but unfortunately, the overall taste didn't appeal to me.

We were craving some good ramen and veggies on a rainy night in beautiful Nuremberg. We were not disappointed. The food was delicious, the atmosphere welcoming and the service prompt, helpful and incredibly friendly.

We stayed at the hotel next door and had breakfast there. The breakfast was excellent; I can't think of anything that could have been better.

It was a very nice evening. We visited there spontaneously on Saturday and it was simply great, pleasant and delicious.

Even though we’re far from Korea, they make a fantastic spicy vegan ramen and I absolutely love their popoku. The spices they use are just spot on and full of flavor. Definitely a place worth visiting if you’re into bold and tasty dishes!

Best ramen in Nuremberg. Period. The other dishes are also very good! The cocktails, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic, are also amazing and highly recommended. And the prices are completely reasonable. When it's busy, it can get a bit loud inside, but that's the case everywhere when it's full.

The donburi set felt reasonably priced, but the portion and flavor left a little to be desired. I haven’t tried the ramen yet, so I’m curious about that. But based on the dishes I did have, the donburi and miso soup didn’t quite deliver that authentic Japanese taste.

We tried the Tonkotsu Special, and the broth was incredible - creamy and deeply savory without feeling too heavy. The noodles had just the right bite, and the chashu was melt‑in‑your‑mouth tender. The Spicy Miso Ramen packed a pleasant kick, balanced by sweet corn and perfectly roasted garlic oil. Don’t miss their Gyoza - crispy on the outside and beautifully seasoned inside. Portions are generous, and you can customize your bowl with extra noodles, egg, or chili oil at no extra fuss. Prices are very reasonable for the quality, making it easy to justify a return visit.

This place is a great place to eat if you want some really good food whether you are craving the Ramen or are up to try some of their different appetizers. Everything is great. Service was very good as well. Whether you go during the busy hour or just for a lunch stop you won’t be disappointed.

Wife and me came across this Ramen shop curios so we pop by for dinner. Ramen is diffrent from Japan but to have Ramen this far away is a great alternative.

Unfortunately, I didn't like it. My husband and I ordered two ramen bowls, and both were average in taste. It wasn't disgusting, but it wasn't particularly tasty either. Rather bland. The broth itself wasn't bad, but nothing in it was salty, spicy, or anything else. I've had much tastier ramen in general. It's a shame, because the restaurant itself is beautiful. We sat on the terrace—it's not the restaurant's fault, but as soon as the food was brought to us, a lot of flies came. It was really bad, and unfortunately, we couldn't eat it.

I thought the food was good. Karaage was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. It was hot. Nasu was well seasoned but could have been grilled a bit longer. The tonkotsu sauce was really tasty and hot. It's not a huge portion but if you order a starter you'll definitely be full. I think the price for the daiginjo Kubota is a bit excessive but oh well, it's okay. I didn't drink it. The atmosphere is okay but nothing special. The waiters are very nice and at least smile now and then. It's busy. But there are plenty of seats. PRICE is normal for a ramen restaurant. And no, I'm not correcting the spelling mistake because the autocorrect does that. And I'm fed up with that now. But go to Monki anyway. I can recommend it.

The food was good, but the waiter was underlying racist. I sat in the middle of three empty seats because I don't like sitting next to others. After I ordered and sat down, two white customers arrived and the waiter asked me to sit closer. I was furious, but I couldn't leave because I had already ordered. I ended up finishing my meal with people on both sides of me. It was inedible! I will never be back and never recommend!🙄🙄

We really enjoyed the ramen we ordered, but unfortunately our gyoza took a very long time to arrive — we had already finished our ramen by then, even after following up twice. A bowl of soy sauce chicken ramen soup, the soup is very delicious, clear and rich, not too greasy. Of course, it cannot be compared with Japanese standards. He not only gave us great advice but also made sure we felt comfortable. I've rarely experienced such friendly and dedicated service. Highly recommended!

Ordered ramen and katsudon and ended up waiting over 40 minutes — no starter, no drink, and not a single word from the staff. I had to remind the waiter myself, and instead of the food, he finally brought my lemonade, almost like a joke. The service was painfully slow, disorganized, and completely indifferent. No apology, no explanation, just silence and delay. I eventually gave up and left — furious and disappointed. I’ve had better service at fast food chains. Absolutely not coming back. Save your time and go elsewhere — unless you enjoy waiting endlessly while starving.

THE BEST PLACE TO EAT IN NUREMBERG! We tried about 3 types of soups there and all of them were exceptionally delicious. The variety of them is also stunning. The service is very very nice. I would recommend trying a soup there instead of harder meals, which we also enjoyed, but to a lesser extent, than soups. Place is also located in a central place with good views.

This restaurant is by far the worst Asian restaurant I've ever eaten at and doesn't even deserve a star. Not only are the prices outrageous (watery aperitif €9, glass of wine €13, starter no less than €10, etc.), but the food was simply bad and cold. The ramen soup was watery, flavorless, and mushy. We were truly deeply disappointed and can't understand the positive reviews. Bad food for a lot of money, I honestly advise everyone to stay away from this restaurant!

Tonkotsu Ramen / Classic Soy Ramen €15 each Tonkotsu Ramen was too oily and a failure. Classic Ramen was the best. However, I was surprised that the meat was not the chewy ramen meat we know, but rather the hard meat that tasted like grilled pork belly. The ramen costs almost 20,000 won, but the taste and style are so different from the ramen you expect in Japan......Go there knowing this.

I ate there with my friends today, and it was obvious we weren't finished eating yet. A member of staff came over, stressing us out and trying to clear the table. Our drinks were still half full, and someone came because we HAD to pay. It's a disgrace. We don't recommend it! Not a good place to relax and enjoy a delicious meal.

The desserts are also very good, and I can recommend the matcha tiramisu :) The restaurant itself isn't particularly large, but it's still nicely decorated. The only thing that bothered me was that there were a lot of very large tables, and you sometimes had to share a table. As a plus, I'd like to mention the menu, which, thanks to the pictures, gives even people who don't know much about Japanese food a good impression and understanding of the dishes.
