Mom's Creation Vegan Restaurant Friedrichshain in Berlin

Unfortunately, a worse experience than I expected. The service was good but the food was way too salty and not to my liking. The curry was totally over salted and the "chicken balls" were dry and not tasty at all. The dough of the dumplings was so soft, with no consistency or texture. I was so excited to try this restaurant but I will never visit again. I'm sorry. Way too expensive for the quality.

+ vegan pho was great. Great portion size with lots of fresh vegetables + vegan duck is great

Pho and the vegan duck were extremely tasty. Everything came to the table quickly and was prepared entirely with fresh ingredients. Really world class taste. In terms of price, the food was also completely okay. I can recommend it to everyone and will definitely come back 👍

Very rude staff. We asked for tap water and they demanded us to pay for it! Outrageous. The pho was tasteless. The broth tasted like water. No flavour at all. The papaya salad was nothing like a papaya salad. Very bad experience for our last meal in Berlin. Very disappointed.

Unfortunately, after such a long time, I have to adjust my 5 star rating. We loved this restaurant very much. The Pho in particular was just great. Unfortunately, the restaurant has deteriorated greatly after the change of ownership. The quality of the food has deteriorated a lot. The first sign that quality had suffered were small flies in the soup. Not one but several. On the following visit we hadn't thought anything of it, but we came home with gastrointestinal problems. The last visit confirmed that there were gastrointestinal problems again and this time we were unfortunately able to identify it. The service is still very friendly and attentive. We are very sad, this was our last visit to Moms. At least in this branch. As usual, the food in Treptow is very good. Too bad :(. -------------- Old review from several years ago. The best vegan feel-good cuisine in Berlin. Great service, great food and even in winter you can safely sit outside. Extra big praise!

We ate the vegan duck. It was very tasty, a good alternative to real meat. As a drink we had the coriander lemonade. Very refreshing in hot temperatures. No card payment possible.

Creepy. Came a little later than my classmates from the Chinese course and was unable to explain to two Vietnamese service staff, neither in German nor in English, that I asked to be allowed to sit at the already full table of four. After 10 minutes of desperate attempts to communicate, whereby the girls' incompetence and complete lack of understanding was impressive, I left hungry without having achieved anything. Maybe take a few more language courses, the VHS is around the corner. No understanding on my part.

All in all a good restaurant. Good ambience, but nothing special, service was fine as expected and the food was also good. I had a curry dish with vegan "duck" and thought it was tasty, but not something I will remember forever. HOWEVER: The banana in coconut condensed milk was absolutely AWESOME! - I was so pleasantly surprised by the taste, I'll probably still be thinking about it when I'm 90!

Out of the number of vegan restaurants I’ve eaten at in Berlin, this is my favorite. The dishes we had we nothing short of stellar & we return here often for the same order. Our starters were the spring rolls & the satay. Main courses were the classic pho & the curried duck. We had a double dose of the coconut/pineapple/mint mocktail which we agree is the tastiest drink on the planet. No exaggeration. Do yourself a favor & eat here the next time you’re looking to dine.

Not so busy in the early afternoon during the week, but not empty either. In the evening you probably have to make a reservation. The food was extremely good and clearly stood out from the “standard Vietnamese” in terms of offerings and execution. Here you get e.g. B. also water celery and Tia-do.

We went here today and ordered nr. 23 (Glass noodle salad with tofu, .......) and nr. 52 (C): Just the crispy vegan duck with peanut sauce is a reason for us to drive 400km to Berlin! The waiters were really nice and they spoke good and fluent German which made ordering very easy (:. The Wantan was EXTREMELY yummy and u should definitely try it !! It's a really nice place, close to a 5 floor second hand shop, a cat cafe, a gothic clothing store, ... And the atmosphere was SO pretty: Pretty Music in the background, themed chopsticks, a lamp on every table, ... They have a toilet which is very clean and to be honest VERY pretty.

Mom's Vegan Creations is finally available in Friedrichshain. We celebrated that today with delicious banh xeo and satay skewers as starters, great vegan lassis and decent main courses. Highly recommended and, thanks to the proximity, certainly not the last visit.

Been there twice and I'm not even vegan. Food is phenomenal and comes really quickly. Service is friendly and speedy. Cocktails are amazing and not expensive! Toilets are clean. Thanks a lot!

Was there today, really good and sometimes a little more unusual and well seasoned food, even the drinks (for me only non-alcoholic) are not only available in 0815 and at moderately normal prices. The service was super nice, you just had to make yourself noticed every now and then. Bathroom and toilets very clean! Very busy today (Tuesday), but we were lucky that someone was leaving. But next time I would prefer to make a reservation...

The vegan duck is super tasty, really tastes like meat. The portions seem a bit small but are still filling. Prices are okay, the atmosphere is a bit darker. The map was a bit difficult to read in the evening. Personally, I like the Moms creations at Treptower Park a little better.

What a surprise to see a completely vegetarian restaurant of such a level. I had the com curry with a duck substitute and it was super good! I loved the sauce with the mixed vegetables. The restaurant is super beautiful, it’s quite spacious and the service is continuous. The servers were all super nice, I highly recommend!

It's a good place to visit for lunch. They have a changing lunch menu (business lunch) options everyday. We tried a crispy vegan duck and chicken dish. The chicken tasted mostly like soy chunks but the duck was very good. Worth it for lunch with reduced prices.

The restaurant was full when we arrived but I reserved a table. Staff gave us the menu quickly, took our order swiftly and our drinks and food arrived in no time. Everything tasted nice and the staff was really friendly.

Ein nettes Restaurant mit veganen Gerichten. Das Essen war ausgezeichnet und ist zu empfehlen! Der Service ist leider etwas dürftig und man wird nur bedingt beachtet, dazu war es ziemlich laut.

Es ist ein kleines Restaurant, wo man unbedingt einen Tisch reservieren sollte. Essen und Getränke waren echt super lecker.

Nice little restaurant near Frankfurter Tor that's perfect for a cold/raining day. Love their pho and udon dishes. Pho broth is rich, flavourful and amazingly well seasoned (which I find tricky in some other places in my experience).

Ich hatte die Poke Bowl mit veganer knuspriger „Ente“ & ich war begeistert. Super frisch & lecker, daher 5 Sterne. Auch das Ambiente & der Service waren sehr angenehm.

Came here looking for breakfast and didn't realize it isn't really breakfast food, but we decided to try it out anyway and I'm glad we did. Everything we ordered was delicious. I had the banh bun and it was one of the best things I've eaten in a while. We'll probably be back! Also cute space with lanterns and a really nice atmosphere.

Ausgesprochen freundlicher Service, obwohl es ziemlich voll war. Sehr schön auch die Regelung, das man als Gast mit Reservierung bevorzugt an einen der Aussentische wechseln darf. Leckere Speisen und Getränke.

Wir kamen sehr spontan zu 7. Die Bedienung war sehr sehr freundlich und unsere Getränke und auch unser Essen kam sehr sehr schnell. Die Portionen sind recht groß und super lecker ! Es gibt sehr sehr viel Auswahl, da ist für jeden was dabei. Preisleistungsverhältnis ist super und besonders die vegane Ente ist faszinierend gut. Sehr große Empfehlung!!!

Ich komme hier sehr gern hin und treffe mich hier oft mit Freunden. Alle waren bisher begeistert und das ist auch mein Eindruck. Service, Sauberkeit und Ambiente sind top. Die veganen Hähnchenbällchen schmecken besonders gut :)

War jetzt schon ein paar Mal dort zum Essen gewesen. Dadurch, daß das Restaurant so beliebt ist, ist es ziemlich stark besucht, aber zum richtigen Zeitpunkt findet man auch einen Platz. Das Essen und der Service ist gut. Weiter zu empfehlen.

super nice welcoming service in a comfy atmosphere. Im a flexitarian and I could have dunked myself into the pancake with teriyaki sauce and all the other food we had. If you want someone to try vegan food- go there! And! the homemade lemonade and herbal drinks are the cherry on the top! wonderful! thank you for making food so tasty🙏🏼

The food is okay. A solid 7. The staff is super nice. Nice meat alternatives including a very convincing vegan lachs. But the avocado is not ripe and so is the mango.

Update 2: the waitress/owner scolded me for writing a negative review because I did while I was sitting here. Actually she’s scolding at me as I write this. She went on and on and on saying that I’m not allowed to do this because it’s her restaurant. The one valid thing she said is she changed the dish for free - so there I’ve added that to the review. Maybe I ordered the wrong thing - but the wonton soup is deep fried dumplings thrown in soup (with other stuff). So they’re just soggy fried wontons in broth - gross in my opinion and not like wonton soup I’ve had anywhere else in my life. Update - I ordered something else - a rice noodle dish - and it was also super mediocre compared to all the other vegan/Vietnamese restaurants I’ve been to in Berlin.

Needed this in my life!! Amazing amazing desserts and drinks, and a huge and authentic menu. Definitely try some desserts while you’re here, you won’t be dissatisfied. Vegan duck was also a unique offering, so I had to get it.

Sehr süßes, kleines Restaurant, eine große Auswahl an verschiedenen Gerichten und top Qualität. Die vegane Ente kann ich besonders empfehlen! Schmeckt einfach unglaublich gut und authentisch. Sehr zuvorkommender, schneller Service und absolut faire Preise. Love it!

Edit: Auch zwei Jahre später keine Veränderung. Die Vorspeisen und der Mango Lassi waren alle sehr gut. Die Hauptspeisen waren eine totale Enttäuschung. Verkochtes Gemüse, eine Soße die nach Nudelwasser ausgesehen und geschmeckt hat und fader Tofu. Ursprünglich: Netter veganer Laden, kann man mal besucht haben. Probiert habe ich die Nummer 12 (Bánh Xèo, Vorspeise) und die Nummer 23 (Miến Xào, Hauptspeise). Erstere fand ich sehr gut, auch wenn ich etwas anderes erwartet hatte. Nichtdestotrotz war die Komposition interessant und stimmig! Die Hauptspeise enttäuschte dann aber leider, das Herzstück meiner Bestellung. Geschmacklich wenig intensiv, fast schon fad, dazu billige rote Paprika, die den typischen unangenehmen Geruch und Geschmack der Discounter-Ware hatten. Da verging mir dann doch der Appetit. Mit einem Getränk und Trinkgeld war ich für diese Sachen auch 20€ los.

Wir wollten uns mal in ein veganes Restaurant wagen und sind hier gelandet. Und wir sind absolut begeistert. Toller Service, kurze Wartezeiten und das Essen war einfach fantastisch. Wir hatten die 01 Suppe, die veganen Garnelen, Hähnchen Satespieße, die 51 mit Ente und die 41. Als Nachtisch die 81. Alles schmeckte megalecker. Die Spieße waren besser als alle "normalen" Satespieße, die wir je hatten. Das Zitronenaroma der Garnelen war ein Traum. Insgesamt eine absolute Empfehlung. Wir hätten gerne noch mehr probiert, aber der Magen war das Limit. Wir kommen also wieder. Vielen Dank.

If in doubt: GO! What an amazing place. Absolutely loved the food. My companion who isn’t used to spices really enjoyed it as well. Wonderful selection of different types of dishes. And very fast service. Highly recommend
