Mom's Creation Vegan Restaurant Friedrichshain in Berlin

My colleagues were happy but unfortunately my dish was extremely salty and it was hard to eat it - I did communicate it to the staff and when I paid they did not offer any reduction or sorry.

I highly recommend Mom's. If you want vegan and Vietnamese food, this is the place for you. The rice and sauce were super delicious. Why they called the vegan chicken chicken is beyond me. They probably needed a name. It tasted good, but not like chicken.

At the end of a very challenging day for me, this restaurant was the perfect choice to reconnect with the world. The poke bowl with vegetarian duck tasted excellent, and the service was friendly and unobtrusive. Highly recommended!

Very delicious food. However, the fact that you apparently can only pay by card for €25 or more (which was immediately stated when you were paying, after you briefly glanced at the €21 bill) is just incredibly inconvenient. When you walk in, there are all sorts of card payments posted on the door. The fact that there was such a high minimum amount wasn't mentioned anywhere, and it was very annoying. In the end, we didn't even get the bill. It's 2025, card payments shouldn't be such a problem anymore.

We were back after a long time. Unfortunately, it's not as good as it used to be (5 stars back then). The prices, especially for the drinks, have become extremely expensive. What's worse, though, is that the quality has also declined. We used to be regulars here, but not anymore. It's a shame, but we'll give Mom's Creation another chance in a few months. Maybe they'll change their minds.

I've been coming here quite regularly these days. Very tasty, friendly service. Drinks are a bit overpriced. The food prices are reasonably reasonable considering the really delicious food.

The food is good and really great for vegetarians/vegans. But the portions are small and the prices are high. It's not appropriate, as the service is also characterized by indifferent, unfriendly behavior. The absolute worst is €6.20 for a poorly poured beer; it's even cheaper at Uber!

Sunday afternoon, beautiful weather, great location, completely empty! 0.5 yeast beer costs €6.20, perhaps a bit expensive for a side street? Doesn't match the online menu!!!!!

Fabulous vegan Vietnamese menu. It’s great to be able to have a genuine Vietnamese coffee with vegan condensed milk!

Always very convincing – I've been coming here regularly for years and have never been disappointed. The prices have increased significantly, but the great vegan food is worth it in my opinion. I especially love the steamed udon noodles; the soups are sometimes a bit too salty for me. Reservations are particularly advisable on weekends, as the restaurant is quite small. They forgot an appetizer on our last visit, but that was a big exception; the service is usually very good. :) Please keep it up!

We have tried many Vietnamese restaurants in Berlin, this one was exceptionally good. Very fresh, tasty, not oily, flavorful. Also good service. Definitely recommend and come again.

A very nice atmosphere with authentic Vietnamese dishes, but vegan. Dishes that I haven't eaten for a long time because they are usually only available with meat. It's a bit inexpensive, but if you want to go out for an evening, this is a nice place to do it.

We have now ordered there 3 times and each time it has been incredibly delicious! You can taste the freshness of the ingredients and we particularly enjoyed the vegan chicken balls. Any time! :)

I had reserved a table with nine people 4 weeks in advance for my birthday. When we got there, nobody knew who we were and there wasn't any more room. So we had to move on, hoping to get a big table somewhere else. I was able to send an email to prove my reservation and complained to the email address provided, but never heard anything from the owner again about this annoyance. Really bad!

Solid but somewhat expensive food. High prices with a minimum value of 25 euros to pay by card, completely incomprehensible.

Food is outstandingly good here.

We ordered the hot pot for 2 people. It was incredibly tasty and an incredible amount 😅 we can eat the rest a second time at home. The broth and ingredients were simply delicious. Definitely come back.

Vegan Vietnamese/Asian restaurant. We were in the branch on Proskauer Strasse. Super nice service. Prices absolutely reasonable for the quality, freshness and taste of the food. Drinks are generally too expensive for my taste. Not the best restaurant of this type we've been to in Berlin, but very close. Absolute recommendation in the area. Reservations are recommended, especially on weekends.

I'm not vegan, but I didn't miss anything. Food was very tasty. Restaurant small and cozy. Service also very friendly and quick. Had a hot pan with tofu wrapped in cabbage (like minced meat) and lots of braised vegetables.

Only had time to taste the fried vegan shrimp, but they were really nice. Fast and friendly service as well.

This vegan restaurant is fantastic, offering an extensive menu with plenty of options. The appetizers are a highlight, especially the seitan skewers and vegan shrimp. For our main course, we tried the vegan crispy duck—one with peanut coconut sauce and the other with homemade curry sauce. Both were incredibly flavorful, and I highly recommend this dish. The cocktails are equally impressive; we particularly loved the one called "Swimming Pool." We visited twice during our week-long stay, and I can confidently say it's worth a visit!

Unfortunately, a worse experience than I expected. The service was good but the food was way too salty and not to my liking. The curry was totally over salted and the "chicken balls" were dry and not tasty at all. The dough of the dumplings was so soft, with no consistency or texture. I was so excited to try this restaurant but I will never visit again. I'm sorry. Way too expensive for the quality.

Very rude staff. We asked for tap water and they demanded us to pay for it! Outrageous. The pho was tasteless. The broth tasted like water. No flavour at all. The papaya salad was nothing like a papaya salad. Very bad experience for our last meal in Berlin. Very disappointed.

Unfortunately, after such a long time, I have to adjust my 5 star rating. We loved this restaurant very much. The Pho in particular was just great. Unfortunately, the restaurant has deteriorated greatly after the change of ownership. The quality of the food has deteriorated a lot. The first sign that quality had suffered were small flies in the soup. Not one but several. On the following visit we hadn't thought anything of it, but we came home with gastrointestinal problems. The last visit confirmed that there were gastrointestinal problems again and this time we were unfortunately able to identify it. The service is still very friendly and attentive. We are very sad, this was our last visit to Moms. At least in this branch. As usual, the food in Treptow is very good. Too bad :(. -------------- Old review from several years ago. The best vegan feel-good cuisine in Berlin. Great service, great food and even in winter you can safely sit outside. Extra big praise!

We ate the vegan duck. It was very tasty, a good alternative to real meat. As a drink we had the coriander lemonade. Very refreshing in hot temperatures. No card payment possible.

Creepy. Came a little later than my classmates from the Chinese course and was unable to explain to two Vietnamese service staff, neither in German nor in English, that I asked to be allowed to sit at the already full table of four. After 10 minutes of desperate attempts to communicate, whereby the girls' incompetence and complete lack of understanding was impressive, I left hungry without having achieved anything. Maybe take a few more language courses, the VHS is around the corner. No understanding on my part.

All in all a good restaurant. Good ambience, but nothing special, service was fine as expected and the food was also good. I had a curry dish with vegan "duck" and thought it was tasty, but not something I will remember forever. HOWEVER: The banana in coconut condensed milk was absolutely AWESOME! - I was so pleasantly surprised by the taste, I'll probably still be thinking about it when I'm 90!

Out of the number of vegan restaurants I’ve eaten at in Berlin, this is my favorite. The dishes we had we nothing short of stellar & we return here often for the same order. Our starters were the spring rolls & the satay. Main courses were the classic pho & the curried duck. We had a double dose of the coconut/pineapple/mint mocktail which we agree is the tastiest drink on the planet. No exaggeration. Do yourself a favor & eat here the next time you’re looking to dine.

Not so busy in the early afternoon during the week, but not empty either. In the evening you probably have to make a reservation. The food was extremely good and clearly stood out from the “standard Vietnamese” in terms of offerings and execution. Here you get e.g. B. also water celery and Tia-do.

We went here today and ordered nr. 23 (Glass noodle salad with tofu, .......) and nr. 52 (C): Just the crispy vegan duck with peanut sauce is a reason for us to drive 400km to Berlin! The waiters were really nice and they spoke good and fluent German which made ordering very easy (:. The Wantan was EXTREMELY yummy and u should definitely try it !! It's a really nice place, close to a 5 floor second hand shop, a cat cafe, a gothic clothing store, ... And the atmosphere was SO pretty: Pretty Music in the background, themed chopsticks, a lamp on every table, ... They have a toilet which is very clean and to be honest VERY pretty.

Mom's Vegan Creations is finally available in Friedrichshain. We celebrated that today with delicious banh xeo and satay skewers as starters, great vegan lassis and decent main courses. Highly recommended and, thanks to the proximity, certainly not the last visit.

Was there today, really good and sometimes a little more unusual and well seasoned food, even the drinks (for me only non-alcoholic) are not only available in 0815 and at moderately normal prices. The service was super nice, you just had to make yourself noticed every now and then. Bathroom and toilets very clean! Very busy today (Tuesday), but we were lucky that someone was leaving. But next time I would prefer to make a reservation...

The vegan duck is super tasty, really tastes like meat. The portions seem a bit small but are still filling. Prices are okay, the atmosphere is a bit darker. The map was a bit difficult to read in the evening. Personally, I like the Moms creations at Treptower Park a little better.

What a surprise to see a completely vegetarian restaurant of such a level. I had the com curry with a duck substitute and it was super good! I loved the sauce with the mixed vegetables. The restaurant is super beautiful, it’s quite spacious and the service is continuous. The servers were all super nice, I highly recommend!

It's a good place to visit for lunch. They have a changing lunch menu (business lunch) options everyday. We tried a crispy vegan duck and chicken dish. The chicken tasted mostly like soy chunks but the duck was very good. Worth it for lunch with reduced prices.

The food was very tasty, but not outstanding. Pleasant climate. The staff is moderately interested in guests.

The dumplings soup nr 3 was delicious, definitely coming back next time I visit Berlin.

Ein nettes Restaurant mit veganen Gerichten. Das Essen war ausgezeichnet und ist zu empfehlen! Der Service ist leider etwas dürftig und man wird nur bedingt beachtet, dazu war es ziemlich laut.

Es ist ein kleines Restaurant, wo man unbedingt einen Tisch reservieren sollte. Essen und Getränke waren echt super lecker.

Ich hatte die Poke Bowl mit veganer knuspriger „Ente“ & ich war begeistert. Super frisch & lecker, daher 5 Sterne. Auch das Ambiente & der Service waren sehr angenehm.

Nice little restaurant near Frankfurter Tor that's perfect for a cold/raining day. Love their pho and udon dishes. Pho broth is rich, flavourful and amazingly well seasoned (which I find tricky in some other places in my experience).

Came here looking for breakfast and didn't realize it isn't really breakfast food, but we decided to try it out anyway and I'm glad we did. Everything we ordered was delicious. I had the banh bun and it was one of the best things I've eaten in a while. We'll probably be back! Also cute space with lanterns and a really nice atmosphere.
