Green Vegan in Berlin

After two visits the taste was just OK. Finally the curry came as a soup, which was very watery and difficult to eat. The atmosphere is quite nice.

This used to be our favourite Vietnamese resataurant when it was knows as "Geen Vegan" .We used to go there almost twice a month and try new dishes and liked most of them Recently they changed the name and everything else and now it's called Ben's something. The service is bad, the food is bad. We took one of our friends who was visiting Berlin for a week ,to this place recently and this lady kept on asking us the order even though we said we needed time. Then we ordered soups while we were discussing main course. When we said we were ready to order main course she said she will take order when soup arrives. When we requested her an extra plate, she gave us a small bowl and said thats what they give. It was so bad and we promised to ourselves never to visit again and we never did. I miss Green vegan food and the nice people

Hear me out! This is worth it to visit this place and label it as Favorite. Very cozy and warm interior, a lot of space. The food was prepared very fast, all the ingredients are fresh. We tried several dishes from different Asian countries, and all of them were just amazing. Also, big portions and huge menu (including mane vegan positions) are a plus! And of course, the lady bringing the food (probably the owner) was very cute.

Unfortunately just okay. The concept is good and an effort is made, but the food is somehow uncreative. Mostly a base that tastes pretty much like nothing, with very neutral vegetables and then some sauce to bring it out. In my opinion, there is much more possible and the comparison with vegan, Vietnamese restaurants in Berlin shows that. It's better to shorten the menu and then elaborate the dishes a little more. Also strange that it is explicitly vegan and then honey is used. It doesn't bother me personally, but it should at least be asked again when ordering. Edit: It used to be an explicitly vegan restaurant, but now also offers meat and other things. Somehow someone didn't understand the principle of veganism. Hence another deduction.

I'm normally an omnivore but as this place is conveniently located for me and I wanted to check it out, I gave it a try, and really liked the curry with banana in it - a dish I've never seen at any other Vietnamese restaurant in Berlin. The staff were very friendly and the atmosphere was warm and cozy. There are outdoor seats and big windows to open on warm days, too. When I was there the beer on tap was out of service but they had bottles of Tiger, which goes well with the food. Obviously, this is a great place to go with vegetarians and vegans. The whole menu is free of animal products. But even an omnivore who likes tofu wouldn't go hungry here 😀

I actually can't give this store a single star. We ordered five items: two hot dishes, a soup, the appetizer platter and the kimchi dumplings. The dishes are sometimes described misleadingly. e.g. the appetizer plate says "summer rolls" (plural). So as a customer you expect a majority of the item, i.e. two summer rolls. Only one is included. Plus it's completely tasteless. The kimchi dumplings (the real reason I ordered there because I really like kimchi) don't contain any kimchi. They were filled with a gray mass containing leeks, mushrooms and a pile of swollen rice noodles. On the phone, the very unreasonable employee explained that "Kimchi" in the title stands for cabbage. But kimchi is a noble food that needs to ferment for a while. There was absolutely none of that included. The dumplings on the appetizer platter all had the exact same filling (tofu, tons of mushrooms and limp, swollen rice noodles). One of the warm main courses should have stuffed tofu. The tofu was filled, but also with the same mass. To make matters worse, it was massive, as if it had been thickened with flour or simply swollen from the rice noodles that were also there. There were also kidney beans in there. What does that have to do with an Asian dish? The fillings actually looked like leftover food that you don't want to throw away. The salad on the plate looked like it had come from the day before. Labberich, totally drained, with brown edges on the lettuce, collapsed. Definitely not fresh. We had an employee on the phone with whom I initially went through the order in a calm and friendly manner because at first I thought something was missing. At no time did this man respond to any of the complaints. He was silent most of the time, constantly sighing, then wanted to explain how they prepare the food there, which doesn't help us at all in our disappointment. No apology for misleading/deceiving customers, no accommodation, no credit from Lieferando for the incorrectly described item. We spoke on the phone for 17 minutes and couldn't come to an agreement. I can only advise against the store unless you like being misled and like dishes that all taste the same (because they contain the same old filling everywhere) and are more than disappointing in quantity and quality. And that for 50€!

This excellent restaurant is located between U Vintetastraße and S+U Schönhauser. There are many well-known standards such as Sot Lac, Nem Cuon and Dumplings. Most dishes are available in tofu, crispy vegan chicken and crispy roasted vegan duck. The service is very nice. The food tastes excellent.

The Green Vegan convinced me because of the delicious food. It tastes freshly prepared and completely translates Vietnamese-Asian cuisine into vegan. The price-performance ratio is right. Plus the staff were really nice.

This has quickly become one of the nicest vegan Asian restaurants in town, despite the huge competition. The curries are super creamy and tasty, the fake duck with sesame crust is the best I've had, and the vegan chicken is super special, not your usual mock chicken balls. The curries could have more spiciness but you can get extra spicy sauce on request. I hope that Green Vegan is super successful and will stay around for a long time, it's just wonderful. They also have a great selection of cocktails and lassis and other Asian drinks.

We’ve been coming here for a while and we have never had a bad meal! We tried a number of dishes and they are just always FANTASTIC! We love coming here, not only because of the delicious food but also because of the kind and attentive staff. Absolutely recommend! We will 100% be back for more!

Ich war an einem Samstag um 18 Uhr dort und es war noch ganz ruhig. Ich fand es innen sehr ansprechend gestaltet, wurde nett begrüßt und habe mich über die große Karte gefreut. Auch die Musik fand ich sehr angenehm! Aber am besten war: Ich habe noch nie so schnell mein Essen bekommen! Innerhalb von FÜNF Minuten nach Bestellung hatte ich mein rotes Curry auf dem Tisch, das ich sehr gut fand. Die leichte Schärfe war für mich genau richtig. Die Stücke hätten aber ein bisschen kleiner geschnitten sein können (sowohl Tofu als auch das Gemüse). Aufgewärmt hat mich außerdem der "Mix Tee" mit vielen tollen frischen Zutaten. Kann ich nur empfehlen! Die Preise sind Standard für Berlin aktuell. Ich werde auf jeden Fall wiederkommen und noch ein paar andere Dinge probieren, wie die sehr spannend klingenden Salate.

Always a pleasure! Since it opened, I've been going to business lunch regularly and enjoy it. In addition to tea, you can, among other things, Choose between 3 main courses and some starters. The main menu is much more extensive... and EVERYTHING I've eaten so far has been vegan, freshly prepared, incredibly tasty and absolutely filling.

Amazing restaurant! The food is so good and one can tell that’s really handmade. We had spring rolls, dumplings, the vegan duck and the tofu noodles. The dumplings here are by far one of the best in Berlin. It’s a bit sad that nobody sits inside, because this place deserves a lot more attention. Also the environment is beautiful and quiet, with nice service and music :)

Ich kann die positiven Bewertungen überhaupt nicht nachvollziehen. Habe heute Mittag bestellt und das Essen war geschmacklich total pfad und kaum gewürzt. Zudem sehr trocken (kaum Soße), sodass das Essen quasi aus Nudeln und Gemüse bestand. Einmal und nie wieder.

Hidden secret on the border of P-Berg and Pankow. Absolutely delicious food served by a very welcoming crew. Even if you’re not vegan, the food is pitch perfect! Rare gem.

Die Speisen sind kreativ angerichtet, das Auge freut sich. Doch beim Geschmack fehlt es am Pepp. Zu wenig Kräuter, keine Dipps, die Schärfe haben. Das Personal ist sehr zuvorkommend und freundlich. Die Vorspeisen kommen schnell, die Hauptspeise braucht unerwartet lange.

Ich war schon mehrere Male dort. Die Menschen, die dort arbeiten, sind sehr, sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Hervorzuheben ist das große pflanzlich-basierte Speisenangebot. Allerdings war mein Essen bzw die Soße beim letzten Besuch vergoren. Das Curry (rot), dass ich immer esse war so sauer (beißend/ranzig), dass man es nicht essen konnte. Die Kokosmilch muss "verdorben" gewesen sein. Meine Kolleg*innen hatten auch berichtet, "säuerliches" Tofu gegessen zu haben dort... Leider war es auch schon die letzten Male nicht mehr so gut wie zu Zeiten der Eröffnung. Daher 3 Sterne... Es kann ja auch der Winterblues der Köche/Köchinnen sein :-)

Überraschend positiv: Bin sonst kein Fan von veganen Essen, aber es hat tatsächlich geschmeckt. Ich hatte die Nr 57c (Chicken vegan). Restaurant kann ich weiterempfehlen.

Ganz gemütlich eingerichtet. Essen war lecker. Der Mix Tee leider nur lauwarm, hier gerne das nächste Mal heiß bitte :). Der Jasmintee war heiß und hatte Blüten drin, nettes Gimmick :). Der WC-Bereich sollte auch noch aufgehübscht werden. Das kommt vielleicht noch, das Lokal wurde neu eröffnet. Die Preise sind noch im Rahmen, aber nicht preiswert. Für vietnamesische Küche zu empfehlen!

Wir waren zu zweit hier spontan essen. Der Laden sah von außen sehr einladend aus. Durch die Lichter und Musik innen war es schon gemütlich, jedoch fühlte ich mich durch die Offenheit des Raumes nicht 100% wohl. Der Raum ist nicht sehr groß, man hört die Gespräche der Nachbartische, aber ich wüsste nicht wirklich, wie das Problem behoben werden könnte. Vielleicht durch einzelne Raumteiler? Und noch mehr kleine Lichter an den Wänden wären schön. Worauf es aber am Ende ankam war das Essen. Es war sehr schön angerichtet und kam auch schnell nach der Bestellung. Es schmeckte wirklich gut und machte satt. Die Mitarbeiter sind auch sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. :)

Ich war hier schon ein paar Mal und alles was ich bisher gegessen habe, war sehr lecker. Vor allem die Udonnudeln und die Suppe Nr. 33!

Ich bin neulich das erste Mal endlich hier essen gewesen, nachdem ich schon öfter dran vorbei gegangen war und bin richtig begeistert- das Essen ist super frisch zubereitet und lecker, hier wird mit richtig viel Liebe gekocht und alles schmeckt hervorragend. Der Service ist auch too, mega Empfehlung, auch wenn es von außen eher unscheinbar wirkt!! Ich bin froh, dass ihr hier in der Gegend seid! :)

Ordered through Wolt and got the worst service ever. Charged 18.9 ( for small purchases) , not properly informed in advance. Immediately after realising that the charge was not what was stated, I contacted Wolt customer service who told me that it was no longer possible to cancel the order because the food was already made. 1 minute after payment!!! What do you mean? The restaurant didn't agree to cancel the order and preferred to charge me an exorbitant amount for a plate of curry with vegetables. The food was far from good. Yellow broccoli, raw carrots and an unreasonable curry sauce. The wrong decision. That's how you lose a customer. And one dissatisfied customer affects 10 other potential customers. Never again.
