Mina in Berlin

MINA is possibly the best restaurant I’ve visited this year. From the phenomenal service, incredibly kind, authentic, and positive staff, to the amazing food and ambiance, everything is so perfect that it has become one of my favorite places in Berlin! Ten stars would be my overall rating!

Very cool location by the water with a great ambience and the service is super friendly and very attentive. The food is expensive and worth the price. The range of open wines could be a little larger and the price should not start at €8 for 0.125l. Overall, highly recommended!

Love love love this place. Have rarely been to a restaurant that was designed so mindfully and thoughtfully. Noise canceling ceilings turn this small place into an oasis of quiet conversations even when fully booked. Every item, every piece of furniture just fits the room perfectly and creates a sense of balance. This sense of balance serves as ideal backdrop for Mina’s main attraction: its food! Every dish a greeting from different corners of Asia, but all ingredients sourced locally and seasonally. I can very much recommend white asparagus on miso béarnaise, bao buns with pork (a crowd favorite!) and soft serve ice cream sundae. And Mina‘s no food waste policy! Pressed juice berries are freeze dried and added to their ice cream. And did I mention craft drinks on Fridays, my personal favorite being the whisky sour! As you can tell, I am a regular guest and will continue my Mina visits. Prenzlauer Bergs food scene has been uplifted!

Curried cauliflower and fried calamari were delicious. Bao buns go nicely with everything and kids love them on their own. Great service. Welcoming unpretentious atmosphere. Noise cancelling ceiling is a nice feature and reduces echo, facilitating convivial conversations even when the restaurant is full.

We really liked the food and the menu felt quite refreshing as well as the non-alcoholic cocktails were nice. What we did not like is the fact that despite a reservation we had to seat on a bench and was told to “ask people who sit at the table if we can join”. I can do this in a fast food restaurant but not in a restaurant at that price level. Secondly, the self service is acceptable but we had to ask 4 times to get more tissues until I eventually took them from an empty table. Mina has potential but please don’t forget service is a big part of your business.

Fantastisches Essen! Leider nicht günstig, aber der Preis ist auf jeden Fall durch die Qualität gerechtfertigt. Auf jeden Fall mindestens 2 Baos bestellen - die Portionen sind nicht groß.

Perfect evening - service is attentive and friendly, the food is really tasty, as is our Sprizzante. With the warm weather at the moment, the floor-to-ceiling windows were wide open and it was a lovely summer atmosphere. Be sure to try the sundae at the end – 100% hidden gem!

Some dishes were great (charred leek) but some were inedible (aubergine with miso sauce - today's special: the aubergine was undercooked). The cauliflower bun bao was very tasty, but the pork belly one had a very suspicious smell. Nice location but the interior was uninspired to say the least. Don't think we're going there again.

Very fast and impeccable service. The young women were very professional. The atmosphere is nice, a place that is a change from the ordinary restaurants of Berlin but with a confusing menu where the taste is not always perfect and in line with the price of the dishes. We tried several dishes which were good but not transcendent. The dish that stands out is the Cauliflower Bao which is really excellent. On the other hand, the quality-price ratio is not really present, the prices are extremely high for the quantity or taste of the dishes. Some baos lacked sauce, flavor or simply ingredients, some were even dry. The idea is good because unlike cities like Madrid or Paris where it is very easy to find good fusion restaurants, in Berlin it is more complicated but I am disappointed by the quality and quantity of the dishes on an overall view , however we had a great time given the setting and the excellent service. Ultimately I consider the place more as a very nice wine bar where you can nibble on an excellent cauliflower bao, rather than a fusion restaurant. Very very friendly staff. Food was good but not exceptional. The bao's are a bit small for the price and nothing amazing except for the Cauliflower Bao (very very yummy)In general some dishes are too small for the price, it is a cool place to drink a glass of good wine with only one Bao but go have dinner in another place!😊

Unfortunately, not everything is available online! The map is very small! Maybe call ahead to see what's available?! It was still nice and tasty! But don't be very hungry!

It’s more like wine bar to me. Portion of the food and their menu is more like pairing food concept. I liked the food and atmosphere and the sincere hospitality. Wine menu was great. If this was my neighborhood, i would go there often just for calm down after work or talk with my friends. Highly recommend.

Wir haben vorher reserviert, hat alles gut geklappt. Empfang sehr freundlich, guten Tisch mit Wasserblick bekommen. Vorspeise war lecker. Hauptspeise Fleisch nicht ganz Medium. Salat eher üppig. Gute Weinauswahl. Kellnerin Onur war freundlich und auf Zack. Preise gehoben, aber für Location und Service passend.

Very good food. Not much choice but what is offered is perfect!

A lovely place with super friendly staff, palatable and tasteful dishes and nice atmosphere. The two of us had a bao each, two starters and a snack to share, and topped it all with miso ice cream. We usually eat not much and we were full. And happy :) I personally loved the Portuguese rosé 🍷!

ein wenig Trödeleien da - trotz Reservierung - die Plätze nicht frei waren. Die Sessel sind zu tief um einigermassen bequem essen zu können. Wir konnten dann umziehen an einen Tisch mit Stühlen. Das Essen ist Weltklasse - aber auch nicht gerade günstig.

Ein hochpreisiges Restaurant, in dem man am Tresen bestellen und bezahlen muss. Getränke gab es nur eine kleine Auswahl, da der Barkeeper noch nicht da war. Tonic war unbekannt. Apfelschorle auch, es wurde Orangensaft mit Sprudel aufgegossen. Die Portionen waren sehr klein. Wir haben zu viert, 80 EUR bezahlt, waren nicht satt, mussten daheim noch was essen. Wir haben das Konzept des Ladens nicht verstanden. Und für Kinder ungeeignet.

Delightful Bao. Asian fusion. Great cocktails. Vegan soft serve.

First I would like to mention some positive points. The food tasted good, the staff was friendly and the service was quick. Unfortunately the price-performance ratio was not fair. The quantity of food was minimal and what we received as a main course couldn't even have passed for a starter. In the end we paid 40 euros for little. The staff didn't speak German, which made communication difficult. If someone doesn't speak English, they can't express their opinions or be understood. Overall, I unfortunately cannot recommend the restaurant.

Focused menu, well balanced flavors with good amount of spiciness, acidity, fat and umami. Easy to share. Quick. Very good value for money. Highly recommended. Get the fried squid, leek and cauliflowers for snacks. Chicken and cauliflower baos were the best.

Lovely place, really kind staff and amazing food.

Mina delivered a special dinner experience. The restaurant is cozy, well designed and has nice ambiance. We tried the bao’s, rice bowl, snacks/sharing section and dessert, overall impression: flavors were special, each dish had its own characteristics and the taste was fantastic 🫶 on top of the great food, staff was amazingly friendly and the menu featured a great wine selection. We would definitely return for a second round and recommend to friends. The only minus: dish of the day (korean ribs) wasn’t what we expected, probably miss understanding from our side. Things to consider: they only accept card payment, menu is short vs. other venues, order is placed in the counter, none of those was a minus ➖ for us 😊.

Really fun and tasty various asian dishes, the special they had was excellent. Also they have rotating soft serve ice cream of different flavors which are great. Super friendly and welcoming staff and a warm cozy atmosphere.

Very cozy place with lovely staff and we even spoke with the chef before and after the dinner. The baos were absolutely delicious! Light pillowy baos and both the chicken and the lamb in them were to die for. So tasty! We also tried the asiancini (red curry fish sauce arancini) and we loved them. I highly recommend this place!

Amazing food (well spiced, delicious range of flavors), friendly staff, and beautiful setting. Couldn’t ask for a better experience! We look forward to eating at Mina again.

Lovely curated tour through flavors. The chicken bao, ribs and rice balls were a standout. And try the dessert, you won’t believe it’s non-dairy!

Es war mega gut! Perfekte Portionen und eine super Selektion. Dieser Blumenkohl und diese Reisbällchen!!! Einfach nur wow. Von den Gewürzen war es echt super gut und außergewöhnlich abgestimmt. Bekommt man so nicht oft. Und das Fleisch! Es war echt Mega :) hatten noch den Apple crumble mit merengue als Dessert. Quasi einmal die ganze Karte geteilt. Hut ab!!! Das Preis Leistungsverhältnis passt auch. Echt zu empfehlen! Danke und chapeau an Enrique 🚀

Best restaurant I have been to in Berlin for a long time.

Definitely a must try for those looking for non-traditional, Asian fusion food. I liked both the Inasal and Lamb Bhuna Bao and would recommend it! I wish I could have stayed longer in Berlin to try more of their food

Tasty fusion - Chinese/Japanese with Indian curry flavors. Many dishes are on the spicy side. Interesting flavor profiles and textures. Lots of vegetarian options. Great atmosphere, vibe, and service on a quite block with outdoor seating available.

Sehr leckeres Essen. Preise und Portionsgrößen stimmen nicht ganz überein, daher keine 5 Sterne. Sehr freundliches Personal :)

Very cute restaurant with great food and attentive service. The atmosphere was very relaxed. Their menu is mostly snacks and side dishes which is really nice if you want to try some of everything (which I very much recommend since everything we had was absolutely delicious). The waitress was really sweet and we felt really comfortable. Definitely a hidden gem.

The bao buns were delicious! The dough was fluffy and fresh, and the fillings were complex, with multiple layers of flavors and textures. The service was good and friendly. The only reason for the 4 stars is the cost benefit: the buns are quite small and cost 7 euros each. Nevertheless, I’d love to come back to try the kouign assant and have the amazing baos again!

I went after seeing all the reviews… and it didn’t disappoint, so I’ve been back a few times. The menu is not large, but everything is really top-quality and they rotate it with new dishes often. The space is nicely designed, calming and good for conversation. The owner is quite a character, worth meeting him and hearing about his mixed Asian-German background if he is around. Prices are great as well for the high quality of the food and experience.

Hands down my favorite food spot in Berlin!

I had quite high expectations going into this with all the praise I had heard about this but to be honest I was quite dissapointed. I had the chicken and lamb baos and the featured Sunday, for 7 euros each the baos really don't fill you up at all but the chicken bao tasted really really good while the lamb one was okayish, wouldn't recommend it. The features Sunday was priced at 5.5 euros on the menu but I was charged 7 euros and it was essentially their 2 ice cream flavours together in a cup with a tiny bit of toppings. The taste again was quite nice, it was the strawberry sorbet and the pistachio flavoured ones. Overall, I would say that go for the chicken bao and maybe other items I didn't try but don't really expect value for money here. Good food but extremely high prices. Maybe the lunch combo people keep mentioning actuallt makes sense to try this place out. On a side note, the staff was really nice!

Excellent Asian fusion food, I personally loved the way they prepared and presented their sushi, but was impressed by their quality of food. The restaurant has a very cosy atmosphere and the service is just very pleasant and friendly. I really found a restaurant in Berlin which combines excellent food, very good service and a pleasant environment. Don’t forget to book in advance (no AX accepted though)
